"Furry-eared freak."

Juniper ignored the mumbled whisper as she made her way from the classroom, her bag over her left shoulder. By now, she was more than used to being ridiculed by her human classmates - just for the ginger ears poking from her ginger hair, the soft red tail bushing from her skirt. The tip was twitching back and forth, making her irritation obvious.

Her last class had just been released, and she was relieved to hopefully find a quiet room to write in. Her guitar was in her right hand, a few notebooks with original music tucked away inside. Soon enough, she had turned enough corners and weaved through enough halls to find a door with a black window. Music Room 3 was labelled above the door, and Juniper gave a tiny shrug of her shoulders as she pushed inside. Maybe there's a piano, too.

Turning on the lights, The young girl was overjoyed to find that there was indeed a piano, among stranger things. There were five or six small round tables set up, each with their own unique tea set. Wandering amongst the table tops, the Faunus found that each had a name tag - on each tag was a guy's name. It seems that each table was personalized as well.

Shrugging her shoulders, Juniper pushed it to the back of her mind and sat down at the piano, pushing her ginger curls back over her tan shoulders as she lifted the key sheathe. She popped open her guitar case and placed one of the more battered notebooks on the music stand, then placed long, elegant fingers on the white and black keys.

The music was interesting, to say the least - on a minor scale, it was a very longing and eerie quality to it that gradually grew into an almost flirty tune. Juniper was clearly enjoying herself - her tail was swaying slowly back and forth, her ears were pricked, and she hummed along with the tune that she had long before memorized.

However, the peace wouldn't last. She didn't notice at the clock struck three, and she didn't notice that the door behind her opened to give a clear sight of the pretty Faunus playing the piano. The sight as almost unearthly, her white and black dress a monochromic splash to burgundy wood, caramel skin, and ginger hair.

The music continued, uninterrupted for the moment.

Cyril made his way out of class and down the halls. Most of the school seem to be in a bad stir, rumors of a Faunus attending NightVale were running rampant and even some teachers were having a hard time trying to keep classes under control. Cyril didn't know what to think about the situation. He hadn't seen the Faunus yet so he wasn't jumping to conclusions. However if most of the school was so worked up then it had to be at least partially true.

Cyril made his way down the hall with his sword tucked under his arm securely. He had to take a glance in the music room to make sure no one was around. Some stupid Freshmen had been snooping around the area recently. Cyril was afraid they'd start asking questions about the Host Club, but he managed to scare them away when they weren't welcome.

He showed up to the door, only to see it completely ajar and with the soft music of a piano being played from within. Cyril walked through the doorway and saw what the whole school had been talking about. The Faunus. She was going at it with the piano like she was the next music sensation. While Cyril was slightly annoyed that she had found this place, he had to admit, her music skills were impressive. She also seemed to have a guitar of to the side also. Very interesting.

Despite the lovely music, Cyril had to cut her off and set her straight. He spoke with a strong, but low undertone. "This place is off-limits I'm afraid."

The music stopped, and Juniper glanced over her shoulder with a surprisingly cool glance for such vivid yellow eyes. She offered a sly smile, bushy ginger tail flicking in an almost friendly manner. "I'm sorry, I didn't realize it was," she replied, turning on the bench before standing. "I'll take my leave, then." The mild-humoured tone would have taken many by surprise - she received so much anger for her Faunus status that one would think she'd be long bitter.

She gently shut the keyboard sheathe once again before twirling around gracefully, ginger ears flicking slightly backwards at the breeze it created. Placing her music book back inside her guitar case, the young lady then latched the locks shut once more before rising to her feet. "Cheers," she wished pleasantly as she headed to pass the man, only to turn the corner and bump face-to-chest with an absolutely massive man.

"Whoa," he rumbled, putting a hand on her shoulder to help her regain balance as she clutched in half-panic at her guitar case. "Easy now, pipsqueak," he chimed with a lazy smile, making a subtle blush flare on the Faunus' cheeks. "Er - sorry," she chirped bashfully, then began to walk away again. The man watched her go, studying her curiously, before turning back to Cyril. "Uh, I was gonna make a reservation for my sis, but if you're hiring her too, count me the hell in, brother. Anyways, Maribel said this would be enough for an hour seating with... whoever Table Three is." He handed over a folded paper with his sisters' name, dorm number, and a thin stack of cash.

"Oh, and uh," he shamelessly unfolded several other bills and pointedly slid them inside too. "Just in case that kitty cat was hired," he rumbled, then 'about-faced and left before he could be replied to, whistling a merry tune as he glanced further down the hallway, where Juniper was turning towards the girls' dorms.

With the large man giving him the large stack of cash, Cyril was generally confused. He must have mistaken that Faunus for being a potential Host for the club. While he appreciated the larger than normal payment, this presented a potential problem. If the Faunus didn't at least make an appearance, that guy would come back and accuse him of swindling him out of money. This wasn't the biggest problem ever, Cyril could most definitely follow the guy and explain the situation while giving back his added bonus. However, a devious idea popped into his mind. If Cyril could somehow get her into the club as a Host and potentially get her to play some music and do a little bit of flirting, he might receive a lot more money than the entry fee. This could also increase his reputation and popularity among the usual club members. It might be just crazy enough to work. Cyril grinned a bit. He closed the door to the Music Room and went off to get some things together so he could proceed with this interesting plan.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The day passed by rather quickly and soon the sun set on the campus of NightVale Academy. Cyril had been doing some digging around and, through some useful info from some of his close friends, he received the dorm number of where the Faunus was staying. After the school quieted down for the night, Cyril made his way to her room, taking a deep breath and knocking on the door, waiting for a response.

Juniper had been sitting on a soft recliner that she had brought from home her legs crisscrossed in front of her comfortably. In her lap was a rather large book and on a small nightstand next to her was a steaming mug of tea with an unusual but pleasant scent - anyone who grew a garden would know that it was catnip. It was a rather simple dorm room - she had opted to keep the blankets on her soft bed plain white, her walls were soft cream, and the only decorations seemed to be a few pieces of her favourite sheet music taped to the far wall. She was, all in all, a simple girl.

The knock on the door startled her a bit, causing her cat ears to flatten against her head warily before she uncurled from her little nook, placing her book on her neatly-made bed before making her way towards the door. The bottom hems of a pair of loose, soft pants skimmed the soft grey carpet as she cracked open the door to see who it was. Music Room guy?

Carefully, the girl opened it further to show that her ginger tail was comfortably curled against her left leg, and her hair had lost most of its curl - it was longer now, a little less bouncy, and showed more of the adorable ears that were flickering on her head. "Hi," she green with a small smile, although she didn't seem to be inviting Cyril in. "Can I help you?" She glanced up and down the hallways, ears turning back warily. She was probably waiting for it to be some sort of rude joke, maybe a spray bottle to scare her and dampen the plain white t-shirt she now wore. Embarrassing.

Cyril waited outside until she finally opened the door. The Faunus looked to be more comfortable in laid-back cloths for the night. Cyril gave a warm smile and outstretched his hand. "Hello again. I've heard from people that your name is Juniper, right? My name's Cyril McDermint. I just wanted to talk with you for a few minutes." Cyril tried to be as warm and approachable as possible, although he would admit he wasn't enjoying starting a conversation like this, especially if some random student came along and saw Cyril talking with a Faunus late at night. He could already see the scandalous image rampaging it's way through the school like a plague.

The Faunus girl glanced Cyril up and down warily, before seeming to be convinced nothing prank-like was about to happen. She melted a bit, offering a more genuine smile as she shook his hand, withdrawing quickly. "Juniper, yes," she confirmed with a sly smile, cat-like yellow eyes surprisingly calm. "It's nice to properly meet you. Come in," she invited, moving to the side so the male could visit her dorm.

She motioned towards the small living area, where her bedroom branched off. It, too, was plain and simple - cream walls, grey carpet, white furnishings. The entire place smells like apples and caramel - something was obviously baking in the kitchenette. "Make yourself at home," the girl invited, motioning towards a pretty white couch. "There's herbal tea in the teapot on the coffee table. Help yourself to honey, if you'd like - I don't fancy sugar much, I'm afraid."

Curling back up into her white recliner, the Faunus curled her tail around her leg and picked up her mug of tea again, settling it comfortably in her lap as she looked over at her visitor. "What do you need to talk with me about?"

Cyril walked into the comfortable dorm room she had made for herself. Cyril had to admit, the room gave off a nice warm presence that would make anyone feel at home. He took a seat on her white coach and appreciated the nice smells emanating from all over. He reached into his pocket and took out a very fancy looking envelope and placed it on her coffee table. "I came here because I wanted to invite you to work at Nightvale's Host Club, at least for a day. Your musical talent is very extraordinary and we could definitely use someone with your talents to entertain my customers. If I feel that you've done a good job, I may invite you back while paying you quite handsomely. However, this choice is entirely up to you, no need to rush." Cyril sat back against the couch, awaiting a response.

The Faunus took a silent sip of her tea, glancing over at the older man. Her yellow eyes reflected the white lining of the mug. "An interesting idea," she mused as she lowered her mug down in her lap again. "But I don't like it." Blunt honesty fell from her lips as she levelled her gaze at him coolly, one red brow arched in his direction. "And you won't either." Her tail tip began to flick slowly back and forth, the only sign of any aggravation. Her poker face was perfect.

"NightVale does not want Fauni on their campus, and they certainly don't want one flirting around and being paid to do so. I can play the piano, fine, but so can fifty other students who are nice and human." Despite the snippy words, her voice was calm and friendly still. "Your business would suffer more because I'd be there. Why should I accept this offer?"

Cyril was speechless. He thought the offer he was making would be almost impossible to turn down and she turned it down almost instantly. It was honestly even more shocking how calm she was say no. "N-now hold on a second," Cyril stuttering and trying to regain his composure, "Is there anything I could offer you at all? I just need you to participate this one time. After that you don't have to come back." Cyril didn't want to look desperate, but he didn't have much of a choice. This girl was forcing his hand and he needed her there.
(Sorry for the late responses)

(No worries!)

The girl's yellow eyes hardened just slightly for the first time, her tail tip lashing irritably when he more or less plead her to be there. She placed her mug on the small table next to her, crossing her arms not-quite-casually in her lap. "I will come once, tonight, to give it a chance," she said, her voice just a bit less warm now. "I'll give you two hours of my time - an hour of music and an hour of... tablework," she said, not being able to bring herself to say flirting. She unfolded her legs and stood, Settling her weight in her hip. "I'll be right back. I'll go change into something more appropriate for the situation."

A moment later, she came out of the bedroom area wearing a green and purple attire, slipping on a pair of matching green flats over the thigh-high stockings. Her cat eats began to flicker a bit - she didn't enjoy what was about to happen, that was for sure. "Off we go, then?"

Well at least they were getting somewhere. With her finally agreeing to his plan, this could actually work out for the better. Although the better question was, why exactly did she already have her own maid dress? Also why did she change her mind so quickly and being so calm at the same time? Never mind it doesn't matter. "Right. Well... Follow me back to the Music Room and let's get started." Cyril stood up and went over to the door and opened it up for her. "After you."

The Faunus didn't say anything else as she tucked the back of the shirt more securely into the skirt she wore with it before passing the male, her tail tip still flicking in an aggravated way. She knew he would assume it was a maid dress (as everyone did), but couldn't help but feel smug about fooling him. She had actually adopted the dress from her sisters' closet, who had bought it from an elderly lady who no longer wore it. It wasn't a maid's dress - just an old style that she liked.

Juniper was silent the entire way to the Music Room, where she still didn't speak to many. Ignoring any eyes on her, she just made her way towards the piano and placed herself down on the bench, raising the keyboard sheathe and shuffling through some of the music already set on the stand. Selecting a piece she seemed to like, she began to play soft so the music flooded the room. Her tail swayed just a bit, the only sign she was nervous - many eyes were on her for the moment, and she didn't care to look and see.

As the Faunus entered the room, a lot of eyes seemed to follow her way to the piano. It was hard to tell if they were intrigued or disgusted more than anything else. It was late at night, but the room had draped it's windows to allow for a more private and intimate experience. The lighting had also been changed to something a little more pinker and darker, again, keeping that private and intimate feeling present throughout the room. Lots of various men who had already paid admission, were seated at their own tables. Various Sophomore to Senior huntresses were acting as either servers of various foods and drinks or casually flirting with the patrons.

Cyril eyeballed a few Hostesses who were distracted by Juniper walking in. It took a few moments for everyone to recuperate, but things turned to normal and no one questioned why a Faunus was playing music for them. Cyril lightly closed the door to the Music Room and walked over to his table. There he could watch how things would go from here. The only thing he was really worried about would be Juniper's interactions once she switch to "table work" as she called it. He took light sips of his drink and continued to monitor how things would go from here.
