Hello, my name is BlackJack and I am looking for 2 to 6 players to join a RWBY rp. I will preface this however with one major thing: you need to be active and be in it for an extended period of time. This rp has already been running for a while, however, we just got off of a break after losing some members and other real life problems coming up. As such we are back and ready to do what it takes to resume. The aforementioned problems caused us to really lose steam and we are rolling back our story to a good jump in point for new characters. If anyone is interested please send me a message and I will link you our discord and you can come chat with us. Also if anyone is good with bbcodes that would be a massive plus; we are also trying to renovate the hosted project currently, but I am suboptimal at bbcoding and would appreciate any help.

We also value and respect reliable players who can be detailed in their posts and be generally active throughout the week. It doesn't have to be a post every second just try to get them in at a respectable time. However, while we're in a bit of a mess currently, I can catch you up to speed on what has occurred so far within the rp to make the introduction easier. While we are in a mess currently this will only be temporary.

Side note: if anyone has any major roleplay building tips and tricks I am all ears, I am new to the whole moderating and story-building side of roleplaying, but I want this rp to last, I want people to be invested and happy to say they are part of the story.

I did look into the thread and I must say..i apologize but I am a bit confused on the plot of what I read..?

The intro on the information page has a bit of a plot in it. It will start out like the series sort of. Just with a few problems like the thing outside the wall terrorizing everything that enters Mt. Glenn and the return of a previous villain. Then slowly develop into a far deeper and more devious plan. I will be adding a lore page soon that will explain everything more but if you are feeling iffy then just hold back till I get everything up and see then how you feel.

Yes, we are still looking. Sorry for taking a long time to get back. I had to return home for the holidays from college so I was busy the last couple of days.

The rp has started in a sense, we had been going for a long time but some people left and now we are dialing it back to the first mission we ever did so all that has been missed is the Initiation and a mission.

I'd imagine the replies would be all over the place and people getting confused on whats happening and whose talking to who and all that.

actually, that rarely happens, due to the fact that people try try and keep a general timeline to things and space out their posts to give other people time to write. also, a lot of people include who theyre talking to in their post, in tags and such. ive only been in one as hectic as youre imagining, and that was because of the admin making it that hectic. so long as you keep track, its easy.

Holiday's were keeping me a bit on the busy side. The teams are almost full, we only wanted two to begin with and were debating on a third. So, I kept everyone hanging while I decided. Plus we have a few currently who are deciding if they want in or not. For this will be a commitment.

As for advice, I've played in a few RPs to actual completed states and it seems like patience and flexibilty are the key to sustaining an RP. Flexibility is harder to work into an RP like this one where players are settled into teams but patience is a virtue and your players need to understand that writing a story takes a long time.

Having a co-host is a good idea, but you need to make sure that they can match the quality of your writing and that they run things by you before attempting to add their own touch to the storyline. It'll help reduce the burnout and ensures that the RP can continue if you have to take time off for something.
