RWBY: Dust to Dust [Private]

@Procculus Well, I can't say I was expecting a character like that, but I'm glad you thought of it. It was very creative and I enjoyed reading through the application. I'm more than wiling to accept this character, but I had a few questions first.


First of all, is Ascalon's status as a synthetic being a kept secret from the general public? I know she's been sent to Beacon to observe, but I wasn't quite sure if it was under the guise of a normal person. I ask this, because I think it would be useful for developing the story.


As for my second question, I just wanted to clarify what her weapons were. From what I read, she uses a rifle that's combined with Dust and a sword that can be replaced, correct? I'm just trying to make sure that the power is balanced, so that all characters are mostly on equal footing.

I'll try to answer this in character of a researcher.


1) First Generation Anti-Grimm Suppression Weapons are yet to be publicly revealed. However, Ascalon's status as a synthetic, if not made obvious by her flat speech pattern which only occasionally displays emotion, is not a kept secret.


In layman's terms, her being a synthetic is not a secret, but the Weapon thing is.


2) Yes, her main weapons are a heavy calibre rifle capable of firing Dust rounds and a sword. She is confirmed to have no Semblance, as well.

Alright...time for another weapon concept. 
Oh yeah, my second character might take a while so you guys just keep pumping out the plot. Hopefully I'll be finished in time for the initiation rites and just have him/her pop up in the forest or something.
 
Once Ratchet completes the second half of the collaboration post, everyone will soon gather in the ballroom for when night falls. The story will follow most of the standard events, but will end after the Emerald Forest.

Why does that feel like the lineup to a fighting game.


Team....uhh...JVHK....joke...jack? I dont see how the other combinations would amount to prouncable words. Like VJKH or HKJV or KHJV.


Edit: HKJV sounds something like hook job.
 
Yeah I got the P4A vibe from it. 
Team LASS sounds way better than trying to make sense of family name initials.
 
Ah, Persona. I miss this game series.


At the moment, I'm toying around with the names. When I'm finished, I'll compile them into a list to see which works best.
 
I suppose it all depends on the final character. I think expanding beyond just one language would be helpful.
 
I think ALSS could work if you pronounce it as "Alice". Alice blue is an actual color and I normally associate red with the name.
