~*Character Sheet*~

Mira Amber

Age: 18

Gender: Female

Race: Tanuki Faunus (YES, IT IS A REAL ANIMAL. SEE?)

futatsuiwa-mamizou.jpg

Physical Description: Mira is a tall and slim girl with hair that is ironically short and curly compared to her other flat features. She lacks features that are explicitly feminine, such as curves and breasts that would be typical for someone of her prime age. Her incredibly cute face makes up for this, with large chestnut brown eyes and a cute little nose, in addition to her softly curved chin. She dresses rather casually, usually with feminine and girly clothing such as blouses and long, flowing skirts with intricate designs and patterns. She does so for ease and comfort of movement. She has long and lanky limbs, in addition to being not so graceful because of her long legs that seem to be just everywhere. She is thinner than the average girl her height, and sports a very thin figure with all angles, even her shoulder-span being very inwards and slight.

Faunus Traits:

Mira's most obviously visible trait is her incredibly large and bushy tanuki tail. It begins at her tailbone and always drags itself on the ground because of being so large. It is easily a couple feet thick and practically double that in length. Short and cute little pointed brown ears also protrude fro under her thick hair on top of her head.

Height: 5'9

Weight: 116lbs

Personality: Mira is a very kind and wise soul, with all the right values and ethics of herself. She loves to help others and make them see the good in themselves. She likes to be around others, as her bright and selfless nature tends to attract others to be around her. She seems to know just about a little bit on every subject, so a lot of people tend to ask her questions on a variety of topics, as she always has an answer. She doesn't see the point of hatred towards others, and always respects those around her whether they deserve it or not. She doesn't anger easily herself, and if often at peace with herself and believes that conflicts can be solved by discussion alone, and that physical altercations are never necessary. She is very independent and self-reliant, and is capable of finding solutions to many problems to many different things. Due to her lax and peace-loving nature, she doesn't take much offense to most things. A prime example to this is when she is bullied for being a Faunus; she has learned that people who make fun of others are merely wanting attention of their own, or are envious of what others have. She is all about good values and never sees a reason to not treat someone like they are of utmost importance.

Background: Mira was born an hour before her sister, and always set foot as the superior one of the twins, even though this was never intentional from her. She lived in a poor family who had inhabited in the homely area of a large yet abandoned library. This being clearly why she knows as much as she does, she actually spent all of her free time reading and gaining information for herself to become as wise as she is. Once old enough to get a job, her and her sister both seek out work to help their struggling family. Mira was the intellect in the family, so it was no doubt that she easily was hired to a job based on intelligence.

Skills and Talents:

- Despite being rather clumsy, Mira is an expert at climbing.

- She is a very experienced and deft reader, being able to do so comprehensively quite quickly.

Combat Ability(s): Mira is very quick and light on her feet and tends to jump around a lot and quickly strike out at enemies before they can even react.

Semblance: Plasma Manipulation (still thinking of an official name)

Description:

Strengths:

Weaknesses:

Weapon: Mira loves technology and learning, so her weapon has three transformations. Because all of her weapons utilize plasma (/forms of electricity), she is really the only one who can use them properly.

Plasma Bow

riLjq6ri8.jpg

Plasma Scythe

demons_nightmare_scythe_by_belozw-d4xrgg6.png

Ethics: She believes that everyone has a significance of their own, and that not anyone lacks worth or is useless. She also believes that everyone should be happy and that hatred should bot exist in the world.

Goals: Mira wishes to bring about her happiness to the world and share her peace to all who fight.

Presenting to you,

The Princess of War:

Hua Mei Jing!

<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_06/350a387ba47063618f7c6bea62cac72d.jpg.156916659805e389d7079158782519cf.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="54695" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_06/350a387ba47063618f7c6bea62cac72d.jpg.156916659805e389d7079158782519cf.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

"Everything is and will be but absolute."

Age:

17

Race:

Human

Physical Description:

A tiny creature, to be sure. At the height of a mere 4 feet and 5 inches, even her weapon giants her. She weighs a paltry 75 lbs, and her body size, just from the looks of it, is small and unassuming. However, consider the fact she's holding a weapon that's at least her weight, and it becomes clear that while she looks tiny, she is packing some muscle under that miniscule frame of hers. She has heterochromic hair, having both black and white hair, black on her left side, and white on her right. It's hinted one of them is a dye, but it's not clear which. It is notable that she has a LOT of hair, so much that it dwarfs her head. Her pale skin, however, suggests that her white hair is the natural one. Both colors are natural. Her more notable adornments are her eyepatch, which has her motif, a skull with tiny pig-like ears, embossed on it, her heavy gauntlets and what seems to be part of a red flamenco dress attached to her belt that covers most of her right leg. The eyepatch is purely cosmetical, other than to perhaps hide her heterochromic eyes. Her right eye is a dark steel color, while her left is a dark vermillion.

Her aura is black in colour, but on closer inspection, possesses a reddish tinge to it.

Background:

Hua Mei Jing is the scion to the Hua family, a powerful family whose pillars of foundation were built on catering to war and its participants, as well as the future head honcho of Kamiumi Corporation. Having apprenticed under both her father and mother in weapon design and economics and business respectively, Mei was raised to be cold, calculative, but at the same time, polite and cool-headed. The Princess of War became an epithet that the clients of Kamiumi came to refer to her as, due to her strong, yet dainty way of speech and mannerisms befitting that of a royal.

Mei was born with a strange case of heterochromia, affecting both her hair and eyes. Many of those who know the truth theorised it might have been the influence of Dust or some other chemical that her parents dealt in in their business. Due to her small size and the extraordinary length of her hair, similar theories have come to existence with regards to both of these qualities. She was kept from public sight, schooled at home by her parents and private tutors who have been silenced through the power of money, until she reached a certain age and mental maturity, where she was capable of forming her own arguments and logical counterattacks in verbal combat. In order to not stem her growth and experience of the real world, her parents allowed her to attend school outside of their home.

Her obsession with 'absolutes' started when she felt that scoring 'high' was not enough. She needed perfection, she needed everything to be at its most complete state. It was either a zero or full marks for her, no exceptions. This obsession slowly reached into her social interactions, and Faunus began to seem...imperfect. She, herself, seemed imperfect. Her eyes and her hair were testament to this. Using her own cunning, she devised and faked an accident, causing her to wear an eyepatch over one eye, and spread the rumor of her hair actually being dyed on one half to seem absolute to the others. It was mere consolation to her that others would think she was complete and normal, not a half and half. She was 14 then.

It was unknown which academy prior to Beacon she attended, and records regarding that period were vague and some were deliberately erased. This act was justified, however. During that time, Mei Po, Mei's mother, was suffering from a then-unidentified sickness, and bequeathed the rights to Kamiumi to Mei should she pass away. In order to reduce publicity and unnecessary stress on the young entrepeneur of war, her father and his acquaintances in high places hid information regarding where she studied. During this period, Mei Po recovered from her sickness, but did not attempt to reconsider with regards to her daughter taking over the corporation, though she did make arrangements to tie a cinderblock to one of her subordinates who tried to make an opportunity out of the chaos, and throw him into the nearest river.

Mei Jing entered Beacon as an aspiring Huntress, but anyone familiar with the Hua family and the Kamiumi Corp's current status knew why she was here. With the title of Huntress, Mei could easily change the tide of war in economics with just as much as a brush of her (extremely long) hair. Kamiumi's head would be their main advertiser, and each time she participated in Hunts against the Grimm, it was already free promotions. No one would be able to deny the effectiveness of Kamiumi weapons, especially since it was in the hands of such a tiny girl.

Mei had other plans, however. She wasn't going to stop there. That would be considered what the commoners called "half-assing".

Personality:

"What are your thoughts on your imminent procurement of Kamiumi Corp, Ms. Mei Jing?"

"
Thoughts? Do not presume I half-ass my beliefs, gentlemen. I know what will occur the day I begin my duty as the leader of Kamiumi. I, Hua Mei Jing, will usher in a new era of weapon production and distribution upon this world, catering to every country, mercenary, and child soldier, no matter where they may be."

"But do you not think that war and conflict breeds suffering?"

"You use that word again. I only deal in absolutes, I'll have you know. And I do understand the concept that what my weapons will do is destroy and kill, and end lives. But what does it matter to me? Your armies, your people, your terrorists, robbers, killers, mercenaries are the ones driving this war machine on! I do not have any hand in this! When there is demand, and there will be supply. Simple economics. Your people demand weapons, I supply the weapons.

"In fact, you can see it this way: I'm teaching you people, humans and...Faunus alike, to live peacefully. You stop buying Kamiumi's vastly superior weapons and let the war machine die off, or you keep buying them to keep yourselves alive for just one more day against the overwhelming threat from your enemies. You never know, they might just be our clients as well. But what is it to you peace-lovers anyway? You speak of peace, of stopping suffering, of halting the endless trundling of the boots of our soldiers and the deaths of innocent, but will you take the risk? The way I see it, it is but a simple case of mutually assured destruction. You buy from us, they buy from us, no one will raise a hand to stop the other because you
know it means death for both of you. Think on it, gentlemen."

"Any other questions not related to my personal thoughts on this matter, seeing as I have made myself abundantly clear?"

"What of your opponents in this arms race?"

Hua Mei Jing grinned, her teeth gleaming maliciously almost like a shark's, if sharks were as small as her and had hair longer than their bodies. "They won't matter. I have plans. That is all I have to comment on the topic."

Hua Mei Jing is confident, intelligent, and sharp-witted, that is clear. She has the makings of a politician, or the head of a megacorporation, with her glib tongue and her strong way of speech. She may be physically small, but she is not one to be intimidated by others. She is a gracious combatant in both words and physical combat, willing to accept defeat without hard feelings, even if it was a Faunus who defeated her. She is able to recognise talent and ability where it is present, and politely compliments both human and Faunus on their strengths. She holds the very few who are able to match her skill in philosophical banter and political arguments in high regard, and shows even respect to Faunus who respond to her thinly-veiled racist remarks with not violence, but cool and calculated arguments. Her mannerisms and behaviour are like that of a princess or a noble-born, with emphasis on proper behaviour during various events. A scion of a family with power must always present herself with the best of her ability.

Her defining personality trait is her grey morality and philosophy. She believes in both the good and bad of men, and will further instigate their conflict just to profit from their battle against each other. She also believes that Faunus are a stain on the word 'humanity', in that their blood is impure, with both the blood of man and animal running in their veins. She doesn't intrinsically hate them, but she dislikes the fact they are not perfect. As said, she deals in absolutes, and their very existence causes some problems with her way of thinking. Her need for absolutes also causes her to hate her heterochromia. Both her hair and her eyes are naturally heterochromic, and because of this, she intentionally faked an accident and wears a eyepatch to cover her left eye. Due to problems with keeping hair the length that even Rapunzel would be envious of and dying, she started the rumour that she WAS dying her hair to make it as it is.

Skills and Talents:

Lethal Chef

She can whip up a lethal concoction if left alone in the kitchen. Do NOT let her near any cooking implements without instruction unless you wish to be confined to a toilet for a week or four.

Gun Freak

There is no ranged weapon she cannot handle. Toss her any weapon at all, and she’ll make it work. She isn’t known as the puppeteer of guns amongst her father’s acquaintances for no reason.

Combat Ability:

Superhuman Strength

A minor example. She is able to lift, carry, and fire her Taiko-6 consistently with little difficulty, even with her gauntlets. She is able to handle the recoil of high-calibre sniper rifles as well, to give a gauge of her strength. She is not able to perform extreme superhuman feats however, such as lifting entire boulders and such.

Puppeteer of Guns

Her skill with her Taiko-6 is nothing short of a master at work. She easily strings her Taiko around as if it were part of her, using it to decimate targets from any given range.

Baguazhang

She has taken lessons under her father, a certified practitioner, for this martial art, and shows some promise in it. More often than not, though, she defaults to more brutal and unrefined punches. Seeing as those gauntlets of her pack enough punch on their own with their weight alone, it isn't surprising why.

Semblance:

Kaminari

An ostensibly simple Semblance in that it projects the user across a vector-guided path, allowing her to ‘skate’ across surfaces at a speed she is comfortable with. With this, Mei can traverse forwards, backwards, up, down, upside down, and across various surfaces, including water, above or under it. Combined with her heavy firepower and the addition of the Type-57b to her minigun, she can slip through obstacles and Grimm alike without much problem while leaving nothing but wreckage and hundreds of bullet casings behind. The Semblance only affects her.

Weapon:

<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_06/po2.jpg.63d47a8a7bd50c6699b28b618cb618ea.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="54696" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_06/po2.jpg.63d47a8a7bd50c6699b28b618cb618ea.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

Taiko-6 "Genbu"

A recent addition to the Taiko heavy weaponry line. Like all Taiko heavy weapons, the Taiko-6 features a drum magazine, hence their name. The Taiko-6 fires rounds at a high velocity, featuring high stopping power and boasts consistent suppressive fire. Its drum magazine ensures easy reloads, allowing heavy weapons specialists to switch between bullet types on the fly. Mei's Taiko-6 is inherently different than the others in that it is a custom-made one, with a custom paintjob (a triple tomoe swirl pattern on her magazines as well), and features an under-barrel dual-barrelled shotgun, usually loaded with red Dust shotgun rounds that explode into a burst of flame when fired. While she lacks close-ranged capabilities, this addition allows her to severely wound, or at least distract the target long enough to make her escape to continue her long-ranged pummeling. Mei's Taiko-6 is affectionately named "Genbu" for its black paintjob and its huge size as compared to its predecessors.

Type-57b "Suzaku"

The aforementioned underbarrel shotgun. The predecessor to the Type-59, it is considered more inferior as a weapon due to its wider spread and notorious inaccuracy, even at mid-range. However, Mei has found some good use for the weapon by loading it with explosive Dust rounds, meant to fire it at extremely close ranges to disorient or outright destroy her target, giving her some much-needed breathing space.

Due to having seen action in guerilla warfare as such, where using flame rounds was commonplace, red Dust became the status quo when running with the 57, and thus the name Suzaku stuck.

Gauntlets

Unnamed, unimpressive gauntlets that are mounted on her arms. They are apparently quite heavy. She equips them only to increase the impact she dishes out when she punches, using the weight of the gauntlets to increase the momentum of her attacks. She also uses them for defensive purposes, deflecting blows with them.

Ethics:

This, primarily

All things are important: education, skill, strength, power, and status. Without any one of these, one will never rise to the top.

She doesn't like Faunus, but it is a matter of philosophy rather than their culture.

She is...curiously bisexual.

Goals:

First, the Huntress title, then the top amongst all Hunters, then conquer and dominate the arms war with her status and title through aggressive advertising alongside her mother, and then take over the Kamiumi business, and let the money roll in.

She taller and heavier than Lazuli =P Though I get a giggle out of the people saying 'tiny' 5'6 and the like even more xD

Whaaaaaa

I'm 5' 8-11" (can't be bothered to check). Actually, I'm not sure how tall I am, since I gauged off my friend, who is 177 cm.

I mean, a feet shorter than I am is pretty short...right? I'm not sure? She's 17, though, and IIRC, girls lose all hope of growth spurts past 18. I'm not sure of that fact, because the same friend (the 177 cm one) said that as well.

And I did run a check on the BMI, and 46 kg is either borderline underweight or underweight for her height.

Zara Amber

Age: 18

tumblr_nbpacu6nM71rdqn69o1_500.png

Race: Tanuki Faunus

Physical Description: Zara is very different from her sister Mira even physically. She is of a more average height and definitely takes all the curves and weight that her older sister could have had. She is rather voluptuous and thick, but loves her body as much as the next curvy girl. She isn't modest in the slightest, and loves to show off her skin. She is very unashamed of her thick body and likes to be looked at. She wears short and tight clothing often, and sees this as more comfortable and easy to move in rather than loose clothing that could easily get caught on something.

Faunus Traits:

Her tanuki traits are quite similar to her sister's, but her overall fur color is a darker shade of brown. Her ears are wider and shorter with a bit more fluff that seems to be white, while her tail is much shorter but is a lot thicker.

Height: 5'6

Weight: 164lbs

Personality: Very smart-mouthed and quick to speak, Zara is thought to be almost the complete opposite to her twin sister Mira. She is quick to fight, and is trying to get better, but no one can really control a short fuse. She loves to gossip and does so often, but also likes to make friends. She is able to do so despite this because she likes to give compliments as well to get others on her side. Her love of the spotlight is a prime example of this. She likes to talk and be around others, despite her own vicious short-comings. She is a good shoulder to lean on and will be loyal until the end for her friends. Her craving to be in other's attention comes from her inferiority of always being in her sister's shadow growing up.

Background: Born an hour after her sister Mira, Zara was always seen as the inferior. She wasn't as intellectual as her sister, so she was seen as the lesser, as if she couldn't do much right without being in her sister's shadow. She lived in a poor family who had inhabited in the homely area of a large yet abandoned library. It was a very spacious room, so it wasn't much of a surprise that she spent most of her time training and gaining strength, the basement having materials that could be made to do so with. Once old enough to get a job, her and her sister both seek out work to help their struggling family. Zara was the brawn in the family, so it was no doubt that she easily was hired to a job based on fighting.

Skills and Talents:

Combat Ability: Even though she is rather slow because of how she is built, she is more of the hard hitter, with quite a bit of muscle on her side.

Semblance: Hydro Manipulation (not 'water manipulation' because she can use all water forms such as ice or steam)

Weapon: 'Hydro Medieval' - a dual scythe/sword that is utilized by water. They can be used simultaneously by the chain connected at their hilts, or they can be used entirely separately.

(Note: This is a rehash of an old character of mine from a failed RWBY RP, which some people here may recognise. Mainly because I'm a lazy bitchtit and I have to deal with internships and I have to write resumes and I'm busy with school and fuck my life.)

Name: Lana Spalding

Age:
19 (Extra years due to dealyed education)

Race:
Human

ELNIdNS.jpg

Physical Appearance:

A young red-headed hotshot, Lana is of an above average height at around 1.81m (5'11). She is rather heavy set, and weighs in at around 78kg (170 lbs) but make sure you don't tell her that to her face, she's pretty sensitive about that. It allegedly comes from muscle mass, but her family loves to poke fun at her regardless, much to her chagrin. Her shockingly red hair is almost always in a perpetual curly mess despite her efforts, and she keeps it at shoulder length. Though a natural redhead, she usually makes use of light dyes and highlights to accentuate its color. Undyed, her hair is a much more restrained shade of auburn. Her eyes are a light shade of brown and she is myopic, meaning she has to wear contacts most of the time. When not using them, she dons a pair of dark-blue glasses. Her Aura grows a warm shade of Vermilion.

Background:

Lana was born to a young unwed couple, Harrison, a small time chef living in Vale and an up-and-coming huntress from Mistral. Despite their unquestionable affections for each other, the daunting prospect of having to raise a child and the potential loss of her freedom proved too much for Lana's mother, and she departed just shy of a year after her birth, leaving her ex-fiance behind to take care of their daughter alone.

Despite his relatively meager income, Harrison brought up Lana in relative comfort and safety. Despite not having enough money to give her a formal education, he did his best to educate his young daughter, and he often brought her into his little eatery each day to show her the ins-and-outs of his job and to keep an eye on her. The few regular patrons of the cafe soon grew fond of her, and during their visits would always bring sweets and candies for the spirited lass, and would often chat with her for hours on end.

Many years passed by the happy duo uneventfully, but undoubtedly happily. Unlike the hotshot youngsters her age, yearning to become hunters and huntresses, Lana never was never seduced by the overly romanticised lifestyle of hunters, and saw no appeal in the prospect of risking her life each and every day clashing with the forces of darkness. In her mind, she already had everything one could ask for, a safe life, and people to treasure.

As she neared the age of twelve, her father married a Faunus woman, a single mother herself, and she soon found herself in the company of a new mom and baby brother. Her newfound sibling was the complete opposite of her, brash and headstrong, and completely enamoured with the stories and fables of hunters far and wide. The young boy would excitedly blabber on to his new sister each and everyday about various facts and trivia he had learnt about the hunters each and everyday, as well as regurgitate what seemed to be a neverending supply of tall tales of heroics and valor. Each and every time, his eyes lit up excitedly, with a burning passion quite unlike anything Lana had ever seen before, and though initially indifferent, she soon found herself looking forward to her brother's daily sermons.

It seemed however, that her brother's dreams were doomed to remain a fantasy, as on their parents third anniversary, her brother was diagnosed with an affliction of the muscular system that, while not life threatening, left him bedridden with the prospect of recovery uncertain. However, far from devastating him, the ailment seemed not to bother him in the slightest, continuing to feed his fascination with heroes and hunters, and remaining certain he would one day, walk among their ranks.

Moved by his sheer dedication, Lana made up her mind to enroll in Signal academy, and after a year's worth of hoarding her allowance, pleading with her parents and lectures from her brother, she entered the academy. After the several long years of training, she graduated from the academy and wasted no time in handing in her application to Beacon Academy, where the hunters and huntresses of Vale were born, making her brother a promise as the letter went out.

"Just you watch me little bro, I'm going to become the greatest hero out there! And one day I expect you to come up and take that title from me, you understand? Ain't nothing gonna stop me, and there sure as hell better be nothing stopping you!"

Personality:

Bombastic would be an understatement when it comes to describing Lana's outward personality. Her demeanour could be likened to that of a outlandish heroine of a Saturday Morning Cartoon, loud, hotheaded and with a borderline unhealthy obsession with JUSTICE AND GLORY. In an attempt to emulate the heroes of legends, Lana has taken to theatrics and hamminess to conevy her intentions, with varying degrees of success. Her sense of humor is also similarly loud, and oftentimes physical, and she takes great enjoyment in teasing those unable to keep up with her outlandishness. (I.E: Almost everyone)

Lana is very inquistive by nature, and once she finds herself invested in a topic, there are almost no lengths she will not go to in order to sate her hunger for knowledge. A lot of her knowledge on hunters and their lifestyles came not only from her brother, but from her own accord as well, once she had become intrigued with the topic. During her time at Signal, her interests grew further still, developing a knack for fooling around with various weapon parts.

Although her antics are taken at face value by many, most of this is just an act, both as part of her obligation to her brother, and as a means of pushing herself forward. In reality, Lana is much calmer and perceptive than what her behaviour would suggest, though admittedly, many years of acting has caused her own acting to rub off on her slightly. Lana deep down remains the calm and spirited girl she was years ago, who was content with her once uneventful life.

Though her brother's actions had genuinely changed her outlook, she is remains uncertain whether or not pursuing the life of a huntress was a feasible idea, let alone if she can truly live up to her promise of becoming a renowned hero. Though she remains uncertain, she marches forward each and every day with a smile on her face, determined to press onward and tackle whatever comes her way.

Skills and Talents:

Amateur Gadgeteer: Lana isn't some genius inventor by any means, but her natural curiosity and quick thinking has served her well in feeding her interest in weapon tinkering and design.

Competent Cook: Having been brought up in a bistro all her life, Lana has picked up no small number of culinary skills from her dearest father. Unlike her hopless mother and brother, she regularly helps out with cooking and can whip up palatable meals when left to her own devices. She excels at savoury meat dishes, but still struggles with regards to sweets and other desserts.

Combat Ability:

Superhuman Strength: At her base level, Lana is posseses notable strength, more than enough to knock larger opponents onto their ass. While certainly strong however, her strength is still within the range of normalcy amongst hunters and huntresses. The superhuman aspect of it only comes into play with her Semblance, which can reach extreme levels given enough time. Currently however, most of her bouts never last long enough to reach such a point, and her stamina is barely enough to sustain such periods of semblance usage in the first place.

Boxing: In addition to standard weapons training, Lana opted to take up boxing during her initial training as her unarmed martial art. She is skilled in landing precise and blows while keeping mobile, which is a technique absolutely essential to the nature of her fighting.

Combat Style: Due to the nature of her aura, Lana is essentially forced to employ two seperate styles when engaging opponents. Initially, Lana places an emphasis on defensive moves, whilst searching for openings to deal precise blows. Her aim during this phase, is to usually drag on the fight to a point where she gains the upper hand, at the same time searching for opportunities to swing the fight in her favor even before then. She will always attempt to stay as close to her enemy as possible, in order to reduce potential impact of her foe's assaults. Urvan usually stays unextended during this time, for ease of close ranged combat.

Once the fight has dragged on long enough, Lana can finally cut loose with the full strength her semblance gives her. With increased strength and mobility, Lana becomes an unstoppable juggernaut, swinging a fully propelled Urvan around with full force, with intent to annhilate all who stand before her. She is at her weakest the moment, she begins the assault, but every moment that ticks by only increases the might of her frenzy. Given that exhaustion is a very real danger to her, the aim of this style is the exact opposite of the one that came before, which is to eliminate her opponent as fast as she can.

Sembance:

Relentless:

Lana's semblance quite simply, exhaustion in reverse. Instead of tiring as a battle wears on, Lana's physical attributes like her strength and endurance increase over time, meaning that as her foes fall prey to fatigue, Lana grows stronger still, making drawn out engagements against her tantamount to suicide. Her increased strength as a battle wears on also means she can use Urvan to its fullest potential once sufficiently powered up. The effect of her Semblance has no upper cap and is only limited by her own stamina, meaning that as long as she can stay on her legs during a fight, she never stops growing in power.

While strong, her semblance has two highly exploitable flaws. The first being, that while her body continues to strengthen, her aura degrades as usual and even at accelerated rates once a threshold is reached. The second weakness being that, while her body does strengthen for the duration of combat, her heightened attributes also put an even greater strain on her body, which will eventually come back to haunt her once out of combat or if a fight lasts long enough.

Weapon:

latest

Urvan:

Urvan is a large two handed pole/axe, taller Lana herself with the handle fully extened. It once belonged to her biological mother, who left it behind after leaving her father and returning to Mistral, whether out of sentimentality, remorse or forgetfulness, Lana does not know. Nevertheless, it has remained Lana's weapon from day one, and has served her faithfully. The axe itself possesses no notable features outside of a telescoping handle, which allows for (relatively) easier storage.

The head curves to form a grisly crescent, and is fashioned from cold hard steel, with a single spike protruding from the top of the head, meant for thrusting. The handle of the axe has a much more decorative appearance, fashioned from a sturdy alloy and a sterling silver finish. On the opposite end of the handle, is another blade, meant for thrusting attacks as well as back strikes, not unlike the spike at the top. Unextended, the handle is slightly longer than the length of a human leg while at full reach, the axe easily clocks in at over nine feet.

Unable to afford a cutting edge, dual form weapon, Lana has had to modify Urvan herself in order to be able to keep up with modern weaponry. Chief among these augments is a pair of rocket engines, obtained (illegally) from a Rocket propelled locker, which she has jury rigged onto both sides. The steering system in the engines has been tied to a glove Lana wears, allowing her to control the propulsion trajectory up to a certain distance away, as well as call the weapon to her side should she need it. The rocket engines have also been programmed to automatically return the wielder after a set amount of time, even if no signals from the controlling device has been received, though if recalled in this way, the axe generally does so at a speed one wouldn't consider safe.

The engines add considerable heft to what is already a heavy weapon, and accentuates the raw crushing and cleaving power of it. It also means the weapon requires much strength to even lift up, let alone effectively use. Lana herself can barely even properly handle it without the aid of her semblance, so she often uses the rocket engines to make swinging it around easier, but that of course comes at the expense of nuanced control. It's true potential is only ever realised once Lana's semblance properly kicks in, though she often trains to rid herself of this flaw.

Ethics:

In accordance with her brother's views, Lana fancies herself a righteous protector of the weak, coming to the aid of those who require it, and opposing 'evil' in all of its forms. Though really, she's stupid enough to back herself into any moral extremes. She merely tries to help out, and live up to her brother's ideal (or what she thinks is his ideal anyways) in her own ways. She knows that the life of a Hunter is far more morally complex than just, blind heroics and bravado, but until the time comes where such a thing is tested, she's happy to play the part of foolhardy fighter for now.

Goals:

'Primary' goal: To become a hero! An exemplary huntress for all to follow!

Other goals: Sort out the complex and all too bothersome thing known as 'life.' Plan out how her Huntress career pans out. And maybe find a boyfriend before her boyfriendless teenage years draw to a close.

Name: Lana Spalding

Age:
19

Race:
Human

Urvan:

Urvan is a large two handed pole/axe, taller Lana herself with the handle fully extened. It once belonged to her biological mother, who left it behind after leaving her father and returning to Mistral, whether out of sentimentality, remorse or forgetfulness, Lana does not know. Unextended, the handle is slightly longer than the length of a human leg while at full reach, the axe easily clocks in at over nine feet.

Unable to afford a cutting edge, dual form weapon, Lana has had to modify Reckoning herself in order to be able to keep up with modern weaponry.

Name: Scarlett "Little Red" Rhys

Age: 16

Race: Human

Physical Description:

Standing at 5'5" and weighting in at 112, Scarlett is a fit and extremely mobile fighter. Her trim body packs some surprisingly strong yet lean muscle that makes her fast while being able to deal massive damage. All this while maintaining a fairly curvy figure has given her quite the reputation among the male populace

<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_06/230005__red-riding-hood_p.jpg.d002af2982885d1b3b0dac7016619112.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="54959" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_06/230005__red-riding-hood_p.jpg.d002af2982885d1b3b0dac7016619112.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

Background: Born and raised in Vale, Scarlett never questioned what she wanted to do in life with a Hunter as a father and living in such close proximity to Beacon it all seemed like a no brainier. For years she listened to her father's stories of his hunts and how courageously he defended those who couldn't fight for themselves, all until he left and never came home. Understanding how dangerous her father's occupation was she knew what had most likely happend. Resolving herself to following in his footsteps Scarlett dedicated herself to training but found herself at a loss as to how she would start. That is until her father's old axe came in the mail from an anonymous person. Taking she began to train but as time went on found it to he not exactly to her liking. After a little tinkering and a lot of help from the local weaponsmith "Little Red" got her new axe remodeled to suit her style from there she focused on developing her style learning as much as she could before going off to Signal Academy where she got formal training. After graduating from signal at the top of her class Scarlett pursues her goal further by trying her luck at Beacon armed with her trusty axe and wicked skills how she fares is yet to be seen.

Personality: Scarlett is a somewhat simple girl to understand but difficult to categorize. Her personality is in somewhat of a grey area as she displays the traits of many different thinkers at any given time, to put it simply she is full of surprises. Scarlett is typically kind to the people around her be it Faunus or human she will fight equally as hard to protect their lives. Goal oriented and driven she will pursue her goal to the best of her ability until she is a hundred percent sure that she can go no further. In those few situations she shifts her goal so that she can better herself in order to achieve her previous objective. Ultimately Scarlett is a wildcard, she gives what she gets and is fair in her liking or disliking of a person or thing, she will often surprise others be it good or bad sometimes leading to others tiptoeing around her or occasionally leading them to gain interest in her and try to figure her out.

Skills and Talents:

Archery: Almost excessively good with a bow Scarlett rarely misses even when others don't understand just what she's aiming at they learn why soon enough.

Swordplay: Scarlett is also a very gifted fighter when in possession of anything from her war axe to a long sword she will use it to the best of her ability.

Freerunning: Scarlett is as stated before incredibly mobile, she will roll, dip, flip, and climb her way out of most any situation. even closed spaces aren't very difficult for her as the sees it as easier access to the environment around her.

Combat Ability:

Semblance: Big Bad Wolf - Using a mysterious type of dust that seems to be found in her necklace, she seems to corrupt her axe enveloping it in the black and red and freely changing it into an array of weapons. She can make things from a dagger, to a bow, to a greatsword. if she chooses not to intergrate the dust with her weapon it will most often flow into her hood which then becomes a freeflowing weapon that is controlled mentally, it will occaisionally take the form of a large wolf with the red eyes and jagged teeth. Of course this semblance is quite draining and requires a great deal of concentration, if used for much more than ten minutes her powers will begin to weaken until simply vanishing causing the dust to retreat back into her necklace and Scarlett to promptly fall unconscious.

Necklace:

Weapon:

Razorwind

Scarlett's axe which has has the added ability of turning into a bladed bow, it is definitely her pride and joy. In conjunction with being her feathers old axe she takes pride in her own modifications to it adding the momentum multiplication system as well as the razorwire rig within that forms the bowstring. When Razorwind is in it's axe form the twin blades are held together side by side functioning as one blade with no gap in between. In addition Scarlett can launch the blades of the axe using it for longer ranged attacks and retracting it by using the razorwire rig. She launches the blades using her momentum multiplication system which can synthetically multiply the force acting on the blades enabling Scarlett to launch them up to fifty feet. (If only one blade is launched, if both are shot out then max distance is halved)

<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_06/57a8c2ab06956_Littleredsbow.jpg.5ed1d5d9b4b1955f4164243298324170.jpg" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="54960" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_06/57a8c2ab06956_Littleredsbow.jpg.5ed1d5d9b4b1955f4164243298324170.jpg" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

Ethics: Scarlett cares for everyone if they haven't given her a reason not to and even then she will protect them from any serious harm. She always believes that there is good in people no matter how many times that belief is tested.

Goals: To become an elite huntress and to find out what happened to her father.

Age: 16

Race: Turtle Faunus (Has a small tail and his back is somewhat armored. Minor slashes and certain explosions won't bother or hurt him.)

Physical Description: Cole is a decent 5'8" and is rather lean in physical stature. He looks to be rather small and frail at first, but one look at his weapon and having him demonstrate his actual strength will change those thoughts.

Background: Cole was raised in a nomadic group around Vacuo who felt distrust towards the cities. The small group had a conflict ion within it. Some people hated the Faunus while others liked them. Cole was raised by the side who liked them.

Cole was found lying in the desert by the nomadic group as a baby, and they decided to take him along with them; Although a close vote nearly led to him being left to die in the desert. The person who decided to take care of him found the small tail and did his best to hide it. When Cole reached the age of 7 he was already well versed in hiding his Faunus heritage.

It took eight years for all hell to break loose in the group. Cole, now age 15, was finally found out after hiding his Faunus heritage. A group of kids played a small prank on Cole by stealing his clothes while he was bathing. He freaked out and tried to hide, but he was found by the half of the group who hated the Faunus. The group began to spilt up until Cole broke up the fighting. He said that he would leave and never come back if the group would stop fighting. They allowed it.

The next day Cole was sent off into the desert with a bag of food and a treasure from his foster parent. The parent said it was found next to him when they came across Cole as a baby.

He managed to make it four months before he was nearly killed. He had made his way to Vale and had grown, both in spirt and in age as he had turned 16, when he was attacked by a giant Death Stalker. He had fought Grimm before but nothing this big, so he ran. He ran and screamed as he sprinted through the unfamiliar landscape until he trapped himself in a canyon. He thought he was dead until the Hunter came along. The Hunter was a professor at Beacon and quickly took to defending Cole, but things didn't go as planned. The Death Stalker got the upper had and nearly killed the Hunter if Cole hadn't acted. He charged forward out of a need to protect the Hunter and threw himself in front of the Hunter. At that time the treasure, which was a bond worn around the upper arm, activated and slide die his arm becoming a large shield. The Death Stalker kept striking the shield, but it could not punch through Cole's defense. Cole stepped back and the shield transformed into a large cestus and he fought back against the Death stalker and eventually defeated it after he learned the cestus had a machine gun built into it. He collapsed shortly after the battle.

Cole woke up in a room where he was being watched by two people. The Hunter he saved, Professor Oobleck, and Ozpin, the Headmaster of Beacon. Ozpin talked with Cole about the battle and how Oobleck was surprised at Cole's skill. Cole was offered an early acceptance into Beacon. Cole, the shy person he was, simply nodded and was accepted into the academy.

Personality: Cole is rather shy and scared. After spending most of his life hiding who he was and knowing that people would most likely hate him, he became rather internal and preferred to stay silent rather than talk. This leads him to nod, shrug, or shake his head to communicate. He, however, has an integral need to protect those he cares about. This need allows him access to his semblance and battle skill.

Skills and Talents: Cole is a survivalist. He tends to think of ways to avoid combat or survive when others would rather fight and possibly die. He learned this skill through his life with the tribe and his time in exile. He's also a fantastic cook and cleaner, despite having only his tribe's word on the matter. (Since he tries not to speak with others)

Combat Ability: Cole prefers a hand to hand fighting style, using the singular shield/cestus to deal hard hits while grabbing/parrying with his open hand.

Semblance: Protective Will

• Cole's Turtle Faunus nature gives him a unending need to protect those he cares for. This allows Cole to bypass his shy nature and become a full on protective guardian. He manipulates this desire and taps into his full combat potential and allows his to boost his strength and defense. When his semblance is active he can tank a strike by a Death Stalker and not move and millimeter.

In order to fight, he needs to feel the need to protect either someone else or himself. This also tires him out extremely after he deactivated it.

Weapon: Shell Cracker

•Shield

Ethics: Cole is hopeful that the Faunus and human will one day get along and as such is willing to protect humans to build that trust.

Goals: "To be able to fight without needing my semblance and come out of my shell"

Faunus-Jackal

Physical Description

Moon stands at only 5’4” and weighs around 100 to 120 pounds, he’s never been entirely sure. His hair is a dusty red like color akin to sand,, always unkempt and hanging down in whichever way it chooses to that day. From his hair rises his ears, smaller and thinner than those of a rabbit faunus’ but similar in structure, the ears of a Jackal. His nose is a tad bit longer than a normal humans though not noticeably so and his mouth, unlike a humans, is filled primarily with sharp canines that are mixed together in such a way that he can still manage to close it without any issues. As of such his primary diet is meat, due to the inability to crush things like vegetables or other foods. Along with these physical changes his feet are also slightly different, the toes are more pronounced and longer and the actual foot is wider, flatter, and extends back further. Rather than his foot simply coming from his leg at a right angle it curves back a bit, highly similar to those of a a canine. His hands are rather normal other than the fact that his nails are not nails but claws, though thicker and more blunted than those of a feline. His are more akin to canine claws, meant for digging and tearing.

Background

Moon was born on the streets, by the time he could walk he was ditched by his ‘mother’. A woman that to this day he has no sure knowledge that she even exists. He never really had a name from her, and for the longest time he simply had none. Life on the streets was hard, but it was adapt or survive. As a faunus things were even more difficult, especially with such pronounced changes. Anyone could tell he was a faunus by his ears, and even when those were hidden it was either his hands that gave him away or they knew as soon as he opened his mouth.

On city streets like these, with the opinion that people had of most faunus, life wasn’t easy. He learned to steal and cheat to survive. Pick pocketing was his way of life, lying was his salvation, and thievery was what filled his belly. It was in no way a safe lifestyle, danger was around every corner and comfort was an object that was far and few between. Only two things were a constant. The sun and moon. Two things that were always the same, but the moon was his enemy. It eradicated the shadows, made thievery hard. The moon on the other hand, his mother in the sky he liked to think. A constant entity that would provide light in the night without destroying the shadows that he so loved. It was always a fun litle comforting idea to him that the moon was his real mother, and from there stemmed his self proclaimed name of Moon.

When he was 14 his luck ran dry. A small corner grocer, a frequent location for his thievery. He never took anything valuable, and it was usually the nearly expired things that he did take. But either the owner, an old aging man, wised up or he’d taken too much at once. Either way the man was waiting for him when he arrived, scaring Moon so bad by the sudden reveal that he was hiding between the shelves that Moon jumped back in surprise, smashed through one shelf, and upturned another. So here moon was, fallen between two shelves in a mixture of condiments and other cooking liquids, with an angry old man staring down at him. Well he must have looked rather pitiful at that point because the old man did take pity on him. A softer look took place on his face as he looked at the small boy before him, the hunger that drove him to steal evident on his face and body. The man decided then to take Moon in, his first real home. Of course he made the boy work for his stay, but it was work that Moon did gladly for the stability this brought to his life. Three meals a day, a place to sleep, and someone to actually talk to.

The old man took an intro in Moon, asking about his life so far, his goals, aspirations, dreams. It was through this that the old man learned of Moons dream to be a hunter some day. It was a surprise to the man but not an uncommon dream. It was only through sheer luck then that Moon and ended up there, as this old man was a retired hunter, and one with connections. It was a great surprise to Moon when this information was divulged to him, and an even greater surprise when the man informed Moon that he would teach him himself. For the next few years the man worked with Moon, finding a fighting style that would fit him as well as teaching the fundamentals of dust. When Moon turned 18 the man pulled a few strings, spoke to some higher up people he knew and managed to get Moon a recommendation to Beacon Academy.

Personality

Due to Moon’s early life he never really developed a social skills that well. He finds now, around so many people that are like him, that he wishes only to make friends and more friends, seeking the attention he never had as a child. He tries his hardest to appear ‘cool’ or interesting and always tries to remain kind to others. But when faced with prejudice or hate due to being a faunus he reacts badly, angrily, feeling like those who act that way are responsible for what his life was before. Although the last few years of his life had been stable and food plenty Moon never really was able to break the habit of stealing and pick pocketing. A bad habit that he has yet to really actually try to be rid off.

Skill and talents

Moon is an excellent thief, pick pocket, and liar. But what he’s best at is running. Free running particularly. Moon never fought in his early life, any time he got caught he would run. Running wasn’t always easy and a lot of the time there were things in the way, so moon learned to navigate around these obstacles. Hes rather skilled at climbing as well.

Combat ability

Unlike many students of Beacon Moon isn’t excellent in what he fights with. There is much room for improvement and he’s far from professional. Although what he lacks in finesse he makes up for in his unorthodox style of fighting, attacking from any location he can with speed. His fighting style is widely dependent on getting in a close or medium range to his opponent.

Semblance

Moon's Semblance is a rather simple two part Semblance. Nothing extravagant given he's only just recently learned how to use it.

Accelerated perception

and the skin on his hands and feet take on a sticky property at will that allow him to stick to any dry surface.

Weapon

Moon’s background and abilities never really allowed for him to have anything nearly as extravagant as other hunters, his weapon itself was given to him by the old man. But it was not simply enough. So he and the old man put their minds together and, using dust, came up with a versatile weapon that would work well with his style. Alongside his two dust infused Bagh Nakh he utilizes bombs. Little dust bombs that he learned to make from the old man. Through various combinations of dust he can create a variety of bomb effects. He commonly keeps the egg sized bomblets on a bandoleer.

attachment.php

Ethics

Moon is always focused on finding good in others, or at least he tries to. His past hasn’t given him the best impression of people he’s optimistic that not everyone is as bad as those he’s met. The old man is a testimony to this idea.

Goals

Moon’s current goals include attending and graduating Beacon as well as making new friends in the academy. He’s not sure what will come after Beacon but he’s hopeful that some day he’ll find out, and that along the way he’ll have made life long friends.

Name: PrototypeSynthetic_Model008_V001_ST22: 'Mari'

Age: Her age is unknown. Production dates on original hardware suggest September 22nd as date of manufacture, but any hints towards year are yet to be found.

Race: Synthetic

Physical Description: Presumably to reduce production costs... Or inspire some form of parental feeling from her creator, Mari is tiny. She stands at the miniscule height of 5'1", simultaneously sporting a deceptively slight 'build', giving her much the same appearance as a young girl. As a mechanical being, she is, obviously, composed entirely of metal, her 'true' appearance being that of a humanoid robot. In order to both disguise her true nature, alongside just making her less... Unapproachable, her chassis is covered in a skin like substance, supplemented by artificial hair, nails, and etc. As a robot she feels neither heat nor cold, so, in terms of dress she has little to worry about in terms of functionality, it serving nothing more than aesthetic purposes, as such, she elects to wear heavy winterized clothing year round. Most of her clothing is relatively normal, sans her battle-wear, which is specially made to allow access to her back ports without removal or damage of clothing.

Contact with Atlas Military established, last known location of Grimm Threat has been acquired, moving out immediately.

Target nowhere to be found, tracks suggest it's heading due north, towards Military Scrapyard ??????. Pursing immediately.

Arrived at ?????? , all on-site personal have deceased, wounds suggest recently. Moving into ?????? to eliminate threat.

(Personal Note from Huntress ???????? - Damn, poor soldiers... If only we could have gotten here sooner...)

Threat located within ??????, engaged immediately.

After approx 0133 minutes of combat, threat has been neutralized. Heavy damage sustained by both Team ????, and Scrapyard ??????. Fortunately, no wounds were lethal.

Despite instance from the rest of Team ???? , Huntress ?? investigates wreckage uncovered by engagement with Grimm Threat.

Huntress ?? discovers medium sized military-issue storage crate. Again against instance of the rest of Team ????, she opens it. What appears to be a young girl is found inside.

Huntress

????

- No!

Huntress

????????

- Not to interject in your... Lovely banter, but do you really want to leave this person laying around,

on their own,

in a Scrapyard?

Huntress

????

- Well, when you put it that way...

Huntress

??

- Yeah

????

! Do you!?

Huntress

????

- We can't go around taking things from a

Military

Area like this!

Huntress

Progress Reports - Multiple Dates

___________________________________________________

On July 28th, Team ???? returned to Vale Capital in possession of a seemingly unconscious young girl recovered from Atlas Military Scrapyard ??????, and after much deliberation from all members aside from Huntress ???? it was decided that the Atlas Military would not be informed of her retrieval. Soon after this decision, said girl was transferred to a military hospital for care, until she should regain consciousness. After transferal, and initial tests to determine the girls well-being, hospital staff were shocked to find that beneath her exterior, the girl's body was comprised entirely of a metal frame. She was then transferred to a facility better suited to investigate.

Upon second transferal, staff were shocked to find that not only was the girl's body comprised of metal, but housed an entire network of mechanisms reminiscent to that of the Atlesian Knight-130, but seemingly far more advanced. Production codes found on her hardware indicate production code to be: PrototypeSynthetic_Model008_V001_ST22, she will hereafter be refereed to as ST22. Further study of ST22's hardware unveil nothing to indicate her purpose, or unveil any details regarding her production. Investigation into her software will be carried out after final investigations are completed. Robotics Programming Specialist ?????? ???? called in to oversee project.

Investigation of ST22's software unveils several unexpected developments. ST22 seems to be in possession of several programs pertaining to both Artificial Intelligence, and Artificial Emotion. Investigation of activity logs leads to no avail, all information pertaining to ST22's production, and purpose, seem to have been deleted from memory. ?????? ???? requests permission to attempt reactivation of ST22 to recover further information. After deliberation, permission is granted. ?????? ???? immediately begins attempts, and, after approximately 17, re-activation is successful.

___________________________________________________

On August 7th, ST22 awoke in a cold, poorly lit lab, without a memory in her head. In some sense, you could call that her birthday, one could suppose. Her activators showed no hesitance in their curiosity, questioning her for days on end as to uncover even the slightest hint as to her origin. She, of course, didn't mind, to follow orders was her purpose, whether they be militant, or scientific. Though, having woken without a memory in her head, all those days would be for naught. But again, ST22 cared not.

The following months were to be found in a state of overwhelming disarray. After her failed questioning, the scientific staff that had taken her as their charge had no idea what to do with her. Should they take her offline? No, surely not. Despite her subdued nature, it was clear that the girl displayed some level of humanity, but, despite all attempts to find out, she displayed not desire to do, well, anything. Simply spending her days waiting patiently in her room, there seemed to be nothing that ST22 actually desired after. Her purpose clearly seemed to be of a military nature, but were they really to just hand her over to them for research? Again, the course of action wasn't an attractive one. So, in a last bid attempt to find something, anything, that could serve the girl as a purpose to live, ST22 was handed over to Professor Ryan Ryith for psychiatric evaluation.

Sent to live with him ST22 was transferred from the facility immediately, arriving at her homestead within only a day of departure. His first order of business? A name. ST22 wasn't the nicest of names, after all, so, as soon as she arrived, Ryan pressed upon her an order, find and pick something for him to call her. A pointless order... But ST22 wasn't about to disobey. Taking to his library, she sought one out as efficiently as she would anything else, picking a random book, flicking to a random page, a picking the first name that she came across. And so, ST22 became Mari. A pointless development, and, to her ignorance, to would be the first of many. Unlike the scientists that came before him, Ryan seemed uninterested in her origins, her past, and even only question what drove her once.

All he ever seemed to do was hand out pointless order after pointless order.

Go to bed at eight.

She didn't even need to sleep. Pointless.

Eat a healthy breakfast.

All food was to be converted into the same form of fuel. Pointless.

Brush your teeth.

Pointless.

Pointless.

Pointless.

Why was she being utilized in such as way? At least the scientists had a goal in mind, but Ryan just seemed to be... Playing around. No, orders were orders, questioning them was... Pointless. She knew that. But still, ST22... Mari, was...

Frustrated. It went against everything she believed, but her orders frustrated her. It was a new feeling, an emotion, something beyond the cold indifference she felt towards the countless questions of the scientists, or fate of military testing. And that, was exactly what Professor Ryan Ryith had hoped for. It confirmed to him one thing, behind her robotic coldness, Mari had a will, and that was enough of an excuse to continue in his work. To say to following months consisted of his coaxing her out of her shell would be an overstatement. Progress was slow, Ryan fishing out one response after another, confirming emotion after emotion, he was successful, at least in breaking her from the shell she was once held within. Still though, she held no real desires of her own. He could coax as many reactions out of her as he wanted, but that want, that vital drive to do something was still yet to be found. Much the same, she showed little regard for neither morals, nor ethics, regarding any questions as to such with her usual set of responses. But that was unimportant. What was important was that over the past few months, she had developed. However slight, she now showed emotions, preferences, and even denied an order or two.

So she'd grown. And that, was exactly what Professor Ryan Ryith had hoped for. Because as a sign of life, what was any greater than growth? Taking that in mind, the next course of action was to stimulate it, but this life they lived together was hardly one to do so. So, what was the best source of growth? Why, school of course. And according to the scientists he'd taken her from she seemed to be military in origin... Then, what better choice was there than Beacon? The girl could carry out something that she at least didn't find pointless, and hopefully evolve alongside her new classmates. And clearly, the age restriction could be bent for someone of... Her nature. So, explaining the situation to Headmaster Ozpin, Ryan eventually managed to secure her a spot in the entrance exams. And thus, Mari set out, with one last order from Professor Ryan Ryith.

Grow.

Personality: Mari's personality is threadbare at best. The emotions she does display are only ever to the slightest degree, and she holds little to no opinion on any given subject or event, being more likely to become upset over the state of her meal, than she is the mistreatment of a Faunus, for example. As such, to call her stoic is an understatement. Having her so much as blink in reaction to something, let alone show something such as surprise or curiosity. Taking these alone into consideration, Mari could be describe as a 'perfect solider', following orders without question or concern. If she had things her way, her stay at Beacon would be one of study, and missions, dedicating all her time to time, and seeking out nothing else. But, to her frustration, one thing prevents that.

The order to grow.

Because of it, the usually withdrawn Mari will involve herself in things. Friendships, clubs, and everything else in-between, so long as it provides a window of growth, she'll try it out, approaching it in attempt to fulfill that one order. That being said, she will approach things as she would an order, so even in her active involvement she may seem less than absorbed in her activities. But, that being said, Mari is incredibly stubborn, and may just be having a better time than she lets off. So, do Professor Ryan Ryith as favor and put up with her, after all, she can grow, not matter how long it seems to take.

And who knows how she'll end up?

Skills and Talents:

  • Omega Frame - Suspected to be constructed as an asset in combating the Grimm threat, Mari's frame is constructed for extreme durability, stability and strength, reaching levels far beyond that of any regular Human or Faunus. For an example, look no further than her choice of weaponry, the DA_FBD_IM_V047, something that would quite literally pull the users arm from it's socket if used by any organic form of life.
  • Computer Minded - As a machine, Mari does not forget anything whether it be absolutely vital to a mission's success, or a trivial as the number of shirts someone owns.
  • Auraless - Less a talent than something of it is something of note, as a machine, Mari is without a Soul, Aura, or Semblance. Officially, her Aura is recorded as colorless, and her semblance used as an explanation for her 'Omega Frame' features.

Combat Ability: Efficiency, Power, and Stability. These three words more than adequately describe Mari's combative abilities. Taking full advantage of her mechanical frame, she makes no wasted movements in a combat scenario, each shifting of the shoulder or flick of the finger being made with the situation in mind, and a goal to be had. In addition to it's primary function, Mari makes full use of all the aspects of her weapon, using it's immense weight to utilize the weapon as a bludgeon.

Weaponry:

  • Dust-Assisted_FortificationBreachingDevice_IM_V047: 'The Gatecrasher' - The DA_FBD_IM_V047, otherwise known as 'The Gatecrasher', is an impractically large weapon, consisting of a solid steel 'barrel' reinforced to withstand and contain dust-induced explosions reaching levels of force equal to that of a standard anti-air missile. Originally designed as a vehicle mounted weapon for the breaching of enemy fortifications and strongholds, it is assumed to have been adapt especially for Mari's uses, though, as with all hardware discovered alongside Mari, it's true origins are unknown. By utilizing highly compressed Dust based explosives, The Gatecrasher is able to launch it's secondary component, a long, circular 10 inch thick beam of solid reinforced steel at blinding speeds, delivering a level of force great enough to shatter all but the most powerful on defenses in one, swift blow. Due to it's extreme weight, force generated during use, and generally unwieldy design this weapon is beyond impractical for use by organics, and should only be handled by appropriately designed mechanical units.

  • RetrofittableArmamentInterface_IM_V008 - Consisting of a total of five circular ports located on Mari's back, the RAI_IM_V008 allows for direct interface with specially designed weaponry and other forms of armament. Depending on the intent of use, these can be attached either directly to Mari's body, or via an additional steel limb, measuring at a length similar to that of the arm of an average, grown man. Along with the DA_FBD_IM_V047, four of these attachments were found packed in her crate alongside her, and have since been reverse-engineered, and rebuilt for use. Unusually, the uppermost port is of a different design, and is incompatible with any of the tech found alongside Mari. RAI attachments are only to be used in situations where all persons involved are aware of Mari's robotic nature.
  • Current Armaments -

IR_MR_V017 - The IR_MR_V017 is designed as a medium range assault rifle. While usually loaded with standard issue dust-based ammunition, it is also compatible with a series of customized ammunition, such as incendiary rounds. Additionally, it's barrels can be readily replaced and modified, allowing some degree of further customization of the weapon.
  • BU_HD_V02 - The simplest of the attachments discovered alongside Mari, the BU_HD_V01 is a steel barrier, of similar durability to the casing of the DA_FBD_IM_V047. Around the size of Mari's torso, the BU_HD_V01 is designed for nothing more than defensive purposes, providing the user with a barrier which which they can readily maneuver to intercept attacks.
  • EA_MR_V012 - Designed for explosive fire, the EA_VR_V012 uses a lesser iteration of the charges used by the DA_FBD_IM_V047, measuring at about a quarter of the explosive force and volatility, to allow for launch without the immediate detonation of charges. The EA_MR_V012 can launch a charge around 15M at it's maximum distance, and it can be safely fired at an area ~4.5M from the user at minimum.
  • TU_B_V031 - A jet unit, the TU_B_V031 is designed to give the user a short, concentrated burst of speed. To prevent an imbalance of propulsive force, only two, or four, of these may be used at a time.

Ethics: Follow orders. Morales, ethics, and other such trifles are irrelevant.

Goals: Follow orders. Specifically the order to 'Grow'

Other:

  • Currently, Mari is under orders to keep her nature as a robotic entity confidential. She is to report any students who happen to find out to Headmaster Ozpin.
  • Officially, her birthday is recorded as August 7th, and school records have her listed as 18 years old.
  • She has been told to avoid scales, lest it be discovered that the 5'1" girl weights as much as, if not more than a professional sumo wrestler.
  • Her three sizes are ?? ?? ??

Name: Khryses Martis

Age: 19

Race: Rabbit Faunus

Physical Description:

Khryses stands at roughly 1.5 meters, with goldenrod hair hanging 4 cm above his shoulders. He normally dons a rather baggy pair of tan cargo pants, and a black pull over sweatshirt, or in the event it's too heavy, a gold-colored windbreaker with detachable hood. He rarely wears a hood down unless he's absolutely obligated to, attempting to hide his ears from anyone who would try to start a fight. Usually goes barefoot if allowed, otherwise wearing a pair of grey sneakers.

Background:

Khryses lived all his life in Vale, and most of that either in either his home, or where he wouldn't be noticed in class. He knew, even when he was little, that he was different. He'd try all he could to avoid drawing attention to his species... once he even resorted to duct-taping his ears down. As he grew, and through prejudice and the occasional brawl, he learned to ignore his difference for the most part. After all, he bled the same crimson as anyone else, right? His resolve to the prejudice he faced: take it stride.

With his focus away from the less than accepting individuals, he found comfort in the stories of the men and women who, against all odds, fought for (what he perceived as) man and Faunus alike. His family had never seen such a smile in his life... he had his sights on becoming a hunter, and neither man nor Grimm was going to stop him.

Personality:

Off the battlefield, Khryses is generally laid back, with a "class clown" style of humor, though occasionally resorting to self-deprecating humor to get a laugh out of the few he trusts, which is generally anyone who suffers the same way he did. A kind-hearted soul, he'd bite the bullet for any other Faunus getting messed with, doing what he can to direct there attention to him, though remaining unnoticed until then. On the battlefield, he seldom speaks more than three words, focusing only on the moment.

Skills and Talents: Khryses is rather light on his feet, his family and teachers often stating "You wouldn't notice him if you didn't know he was in the room..."

Combat Ability:

  • Advantage: He's as agile as any jackrabbit, and isn't exactly afraid to show it, often acting very flashy in one-on-one combat, carrying a "Catch me if you can" attitude against those with particularly bulky weapons or those incapable of rapid fire. However, when dealing with someone capable of catching up, he switches tactics almost seamlessly, using his above-average leaping power to give his lance the extra push needed, capable of catching some opponents off guard, and in the case of some grim, skewering more than one.
  • Disadvantage: While his Lance is capable of making clean in-line strikes, it's useless for parrying, and is slow to reload. While he is capable of holding his own against large prey, the smaller and/or swifter, the less likely he is to land a hit.
  • Semblance: Khryses is capable of mimicking an opponent's fighting style (to a limited degree), by obtaining their weapon during combat. Not very practical, but it is somewhat effective in a pinch.

Weapon: A 1.3 meter lance, the 20 cm back from the tip able to fold back, revealing the underlying muzzle break. The lance has a dual function as both a lance, and a single-barrel shotgun, which Khryses loads with individual shells containing the custom dust round of his choice (through a breach in the guard of the lance). Also rather important to mention is that it is further modified to produce a large flame jet when firing raw fire dust powder.

Ethics: Khryses prefers to abide by the rules and stay unnoticed, but if he catches someone physically assaulting another Faunus, or messing with someone he trusts, then the gloves come off. He's also not /above/ breaking the law (as a last resort, of course), though will likely resort to whatever means necessary if he feels it is truly justified.

Goals: To reach his full potential as a hunter, and hopefully meet a few like-minded individuals along the way.
