Duke Blu
“Hehe, she’s got spunk, i’ll give her that. Not sure about the guy though...somthing’s off about him.”
Duke said to Nilla in a hushed voice, glancing at Nilla while putting both his hands behind his head, though he was still grinning.
“Name’s Duke. This here is Nilla! A pleasure to meet your acquaintance!”
Duke called back out to the newcomers.
“Get your butts over here so we can talk without yellin’!”

"Oh, hello."

He responded in kind, of course, though her voice was perhaps slightly deeper than he had expected. Perhaps she was older than she looked? His suspicions would be confirmed with the words she spoke and the blade she had unsheathed. The young man couldn't help but flinch as she stuck her blade into the soft ground to punctuate her statement. At the very least, he knew what to make of her combat-wise based on her statement and the sword's shape. He stared at her small form for a moment.

A close-range brawler would naturally be placing themselves in more danger if they fought with their fists. Their distance was incredibly short and even more so if they had a small frame. There were a few ways to overcome this sort of disadvantage. With Semblances in mind, they could either be in possession of a Semblance that augmented their defenses far above the standard or a Semblance that allowed them to traverse distance with incredible speed. She had opted to augment her range with the addition of blades. Or perhaps she had started as a swordswoman and had the guards modified for the off-chance of an enemy managing to come close enough to where a sword would be rendered ineffective?

Another popular option was adding some sort of projectile function to primarily melee-based weaponry. He couldn't make out any sorts of firing mechanisms or perhaps lacked the imagination to envision a way to incorporate such an option into the blade. And of course, if she was a normal Huntsmen like he presumed, she'd have a Semblance that'd likely complement her fighting style and fill in whatever sort of gaps were missing with her current set-up. And then there was the selection of Dust to take into account...

Though, all of this was merely conjecture from someone who had never attended a school for training tomorrow's warriors nor had ever picked up a weapon designed by those types of people. The man's intentions were sound, and he probably wouldn't be too picky with his selection of able bodies.

"My name is Eigen, it's a pleasure to meet you all. There's much to be done about the sorry state of Vale, but the first step is to begin a counter-offensive to purge the Grimm, is it not?"

Nilla Eris

Nilla turned between each of the new three and gave a thoughtful glance to identify strengths, a gunner as she knew. Along with a swordsman like herself but the last one held a book.. maybe he'd cast spells like all those fantasy characters she'd read about in books when she had been of a younger age. Whatever the case she didn't intend to force them into combat until they actually had to go through such. So she just decided that this was as it was and examined the new team, "Well as was mentioned i'm Nilla, Nilla Eris." She said and gave a bow with her head to each of them.

"So making a group to counter the Grimm is smart.. but we also need to set up a base of operations so other hunters can come to help our cause." She said with a commanding tone to her voice, she hadn't been the leader of her team but she knew more or less how to kinda see how to run one just from her leaders example. "So we make a base.. and then wipe out the grimm at Beacon. From there we should try and rebuild it" She said with a thoughtful tone before questioning if her own plan would work mentally, sure she spoke it confidently but still didn't know for sure if she convinced herself.

"Oh, but wait, we have anither person with us, and she is still recovering from a wound she received from Beacon. We should go to her first. Come on." Pon says before she leads the two back to Violet, and while at it, when asked for their names, Pon says "I'm Pon Kan, and this my pet bird Godspeed." *Kweh!* After some time, they made it back to where Violet is. "Hey Violet..." Pon says to her "Look who decides to join us."

Siva angry small.png
After presenting herself and while others presented their ideas, Siva approached the two hunters as the man named Duke requested, all the time woefully unaware that she was being stared at from the backside for a moment. It is the kind of thing she'd normally pick up on, but it had been a busy night, and she was pretty focused on the main matter, which was what to do next.
Siva was not surprised to see the girl named Nilla take the lead; she couldn't expect less. After Nilla finished saying:
"So we make a base.. and then wipe out the grimm at Beacon. From there we should try and rebuild it"
Siva gave in immediately to her arguing nature, replying:

"Look, the base idea is fine, but staying in and rebuilding is just dumb. We're huntsman, not masons or doctors... How are we supposed to help in that way?"

The idea for her statement was to evoke a level discussion on the matter, but Siva quickly realized her words and tone said otherwise. She got nervous and gritted her teeth, which perhaps only made matters worse. "Awesome", Siva thought to herself. "Five minutes in and you're already sounding like a real pain in the ass. Way to go, champ!" She took a moment to access everyone's reactions, then muttered under her breath:

"Sorry. Shouldn't have said it like that."

"Both of you have the right ideas. Realistically speaking, the establishment of an actual base of operations deeper in the city is the big first step with the liberation of Beacon being the one following that. But the process of actually rebuilding requires some significant labor. Who, of course, won't be able to deal with the amount of Grimm currently in and swarming into the city." If he had his reading glasses on, this would have been the perfect moment to adjust them with a gentle push to the bridge. Regardless, it wouldn't do any good to simply follow someone's orders - perhaps if Siva could ground Nilla's lofty ideals and goals this group could make some traction.

"It's quite likely that the councilors who managed to survive the fall of the city will begin gathering up resources for an operation. I don't expect the establishment of a base to be any time soon until supply chains and air routes are properly secured to this camp where non-combatants will likely remain until they're evacuated out. There's also the matter of Dust to be considered with the logistics." Not that I need Dust to fight. Eigen brought a hand to his chin and lowered his head in quiet contemplation.

"I think it's best to wait until we get confirmation or directions to move out from people who can manage the logistics and prepare for a concentrated effort."

Violet looked up. "what? Whatever, can you help me stand up? I hate doing nothing." She asked Pom while holding her hand out to her. "the sooner I'm up and moving the better."

Duke Blu
Duke closed his eyes and put his hands behind his back in contemplation.
"Your not wrong, we're certainly no builders..."
Duke said, before opening his eyes to look at the group.
"...but that don't mean we got to sit on our assess all day. I'm sure whoever's in charge of what's left gotta have a bounty board or somthin'....now that I think about , think some of them fed workers were settin' up those mission board near the middle of the camp. Ya know, the ones that are normally in the school, the ones we used to select the huntsmen to shadow. Good place as any to get started."

"Mission boards? Mission boards!!"

Siva' face lighted up in an instant upon hearing Duke's words. She made haste to the center of the camp, hoping to have her new teammates right behind her as she did so. Having them with her reduced drastically the chances of having her sent back to mistral, which was the outcome she feared the most at the moment. And if the local huntsmen had already enough information to coordinate missions, then perhaps she'd have a chance to contact her parents before the rest of her team did. If they were to hear about her daughter doing missions in a warzone, it'd at least be better to hear about it from Siva herself.

Nilla Eris

Nilla contemplated everything being stated, the statement that they weren't cut out for building was correct since they were indeed hunters and huntresses. She held herself in thought for a moment and deciphered what seemed to be the best for this, "So in that idea it would probably be best if we-" she cut herself off as it seemed one of her new teammates was already walking off absentmindedly. If this was going to be how this new team was she may as well have tried to stay in her other team while they were dead. A short sigh escaped her lips, "We probably need to follow her" She said in a less enthusiastic voice since she didn't typically have to deal with one running off.

She began to follow the other girl with some distance between since she wasn't going to waste energy moving quickly over to the board, it was rooted in the ground so it wasn't going anywhere. "As for the long term we'll salvage what we can of beacon's materials and use it as we need. For now it seems we have a teammate who might be a little too enthused to be out fighting Grimm!" she hollered back to the two men and motioned with one hand for them to follow. She turned her attention towards her fellow female now.

"Siva.. I'm glad you have some resolve in you. Though you know the board isn't going anywhere.. and in the state the hunters are in around here they likely won't either" she stated while looking about at hunters and huntresses who were either too injured, traumatized, or just plain weak to manage doing anything from the looks of it. Once again she couldn't figure out why this girl was so desperate to reach the board, sure Nilla wanted to fix the issues as much as anyone but time was something to be considered. You couldn't expect people to fight every waking moment of their life or they'd be useless by the end of it, so the question remained. Why?

Duke looked over to the other man, shrugging, before following Nilla.
Catching up to her, Duke heard Nilla say to the other female.
“Hehe, cut her some slack.”
Duke chuckled.

"Oh sure." Pon says and then she grabs Violet's hand to help her stand up. "Now let's get out of here and find the rest. I'm sure they'll be just fine." She says before leading the group out of the hospital, supporting Violet along the way.

A slight grimace appeared on his face as Eigen reached the mission board last. It was a crude, makeshift thing - it looked to have been made out of leftover wood that had been gathered from nearby and haphazardly constructed to serve a temporary purpose. In other words, it possessed a transient existence. He placed a hand on the Grimmoire's cover once more as he observed the wounded and weary who had still been nearby. Perhaps they'd be able to set up an aid station soon enough if they could get supplies - either from a Kingdom sending in aid or salvaging something like a pharmacy store.

"Hmm. I suppose that for now, we'll essentially be on our own. If I'm remembering things correctly, the CCTS ended up disabled one way or another - contact with another Kingdom in that case will have to be done through messenger." He took a few steps forward past Duke and Nilla now and slipped on his reading glasses as he inspected the dirty papers that had been affixed to the wall. Eigen's eyes narrowed as he inspected each scrawled slip.

"Nothing about Beacon - though that's to be expected. It suffered the worst out of any location in Vale and it's likely to be a second Mountain Glenn at this point. Definitely an objective that should be tackled later - not to mention the fact that it's rather far from our location. Let's see - there's a few identical requests to clear paths to certain locations. A small group of volunteers will follow and carry back the supplies while huntsmen continue to provide support. Given the current state of the camp, I'm guessing whoever's in charge wants to bolster defenses and make sure that there's enough food for a few more weeks. Something here about possible White Fang activity - seems like scouts spotted a few of them still mulling around. Oh, and it seems like there's a request here to fight our way to a hospital where the staff have holed up. That would really help with the current situation here." The young man cleared his throat as he finished examining the mission board - while that sort of exposition was probably unneeded since none of them were blind, he felt that it was the most he could do at the moment. One thing was made abundantly clear by this though. The road to recovery would be a long and arduous one.

"I'm Alexander Gris, but you can call me Alex." Alex introduced himself before Pon went off to get Violet. He sighed and started quickly walking to catch up with Pon and Violet. He tapped Pon's shoulder, "Hey, I can support her if you want. I feel kinda awkward just letting you do it."

Pon turns to Alex and say "Oh...well...okay." She then handles Violet over to him and continues to lead the group out of the building. Once they're out, it may seem that eveything is clear. Pon turned to Krystal and asked "You said that you encountered a bunch of those wolf things right? Do you think they might ambush us?"

Alex took Violet, supporting her the best he could. He looked around after Pon pointed out the lack of Beowolves, "Maybe they lost interest and left." He said hopefully, "That would be great. Don't you think so, Violet?"

Siva serious small.png
As Siva reached the board, she finally gazed upon all the available missions, desiring nothing more than to tackle all of them. She'd been training all those years in combat school and then in the academy precisely to make a difference in moments like these and, at least for in her mind, the situation out there was too dire to take it slowly.
But there was an issue there that she couldn't ignore. Those huntsman that she was following were nothing like her past team; these people weren't nearly as indifferent to her impulsive behavior. Enticed by the mission board and its possibilities as she was, Siva felt as if getting along with her new team was more important and decided to begin putting herself in check, even if just until they got to know themselves better.

"Siva.." Began Nilla. "I'm glad you have some resolve in you. Though you know the board isn't going anywhere.. and in the state the hunters are in around here they likely won't either"

“She’s just excited is all, and who wouldn’t be....give us a chance to pay those bastard things back for what they did.” Duke replied.

"No, she's got a point." Siva said, finally. "We should take our job here more seriously, or we'll end up like the rest of the huntsmen here. I just get a little carried away when people talk about missions, is all. But I know when it's time to stop."

Easing herself into the team's mood a bit better, Siva listened carefully to Eigen's words as he recited the different missions. Her first reaction would be to head straight towards the last one, which seemed urgent, but that wasn't a good time to follow first reactions. Instead, she said:

"I can't say which one is better for us right now. What do you guys think?"

Krystal Redd
When able to Krystal appropriately introduced herself to Violet. Seeing her lying there in the medical bed, she was just happy to see she wasn’t that badly wounded. She doesn’t really want to see another dead body, especially a young Beacon student. As they left Krystal drew her sword to prepare for any Grimm that’s straggling behind. Though to her surprise there were no Grimm to be seen. She looked around in all directions, but there were still no sign of any Grimm. “I doubt it. In my experience Grimm are always lurking, but for now let’s keep moving. Pon, you and I well keep our heads on a swivel while we head towards the safe camp I told you guys about. If we’re lucky we’ll find more students and if we’re lucky seasoned huntsmen. I’ll take front, followed by Alex and Violet, while you watch our backs. If it’s okay with you it’ll be nice to also have some ariel support if you know what I mean. As we move we’ll stay close to the buildings just encase we need to hide quickly. I’ll prefer to avoid fighting for now if that’s okay you guys. Does anyone have any questions or suggestions?” Naturally Krystal laid out a pretty decent plan, while also taking suggestions to show she’s not the dictator type of leader. Duke Blu
Duke just casually glanced between Eigan and Siva, before closing his eyes and snorting.
The young man took a few moments to think, seems like he was trying to...
"I know exactly where hospital..."
Duke spoke up, as he opened his eyes, now looking at the Mission board."
"...I also know the area where the White Flea-bags are slackin'...near 17th E street. That street ain't too far from the hospital. If we wanted, we can break the hospital staff out first, then swing 'round back to deal with the White Flea-bags...if there still around. We'd be passing some of those impasses as well if we're plannin' to swing 'round"
Brining his arms down from his head, he folded them, before looking at Nilla.
"Still, you're lots call. I know Vale pretty well, so anywhere we goin', I'll know the fastest way to get there. It's my home turf, afterall."

Nilla Eris

Nilla nodded in agreeance with Duke and Eigen, "The hospital would definitely be our best bet regardless, can't have anyone else dying on us if we can help it" She spoke thoughtfully and nodded, "We'll need any medical help we can get for these people.. otherwise they'll be out of commission far longer than I'd like for them to be." She spoke sternly before looking out at the injured and assessing exactly how many she could count there.. the numbers gained quite heavily as she peered into them all and she clenched her teeth slightly before turning back to her team.

"So we take care of hospital staff getting a safe escape.. then we can handle the fang. Duke I suppose we'll be relying on your for directions, as it is your neck of the woods. If we find any other survivors on our way we send them here, that way they can recuperate from whatever ailment may have them" She said trying to think through everything as best as she could plan, though there were those unknown variables in the plan. For example if they were ambushed by a nevermore she couldn't account for that alone entirely, so they'd have to see things soon. "Siva I was just saying that because I don't want anyone wasting energy, I'd like to see what we can all do with as much potential as we can have.. or at least for the moment"

"Nope, I think I'm completely fine with that." Pon says and then she turns to her pet bird and say to her "Godspeed, you look after us from above. If you see anything, tell us. Okay?" *Kweh!* "Alright." And with that said, Godspeed lifts off and flies around the air near the group. Pon had her bow already out, ready to what is coming as they will venture within the ruined city to find for survivors that are willing to aid them.

"I'd recommend against trying to engage the White Fang immediately after dealing with the hospital. We'd be dealing with enemies whose current capabilities are unknown right after an escort mission that will likely involved wave after wave of Grimm swarming our positions. A singular Grimm might be easy to kill, but you're discounting their nigh-unlimited numbers and their ability to resort to human-wave tactics because their objectives are purely destruction." He had little doubt that the huntsman had the skills to back up his persona, but it seemed that he hadn't really grasped the importance of certain things when it came to waging a war. Indeed, this could no longer be described as a mere hunt - this was now a war against an enemy completely devoid of reason. Cities had fallen before numerous times in history, though it's been so long since then that an emphasis on conservation and resource management was likely lost on modern Huntsmen. The cost of preparedness - measured now in gold, later in blood.

"In any case," Eigen removed his reading glasses and gently tore the slip of paper from the rusty nail that affixed it to the board.
"I doubt we'll be able to get any more help around here. The hospital should still have emergency radio communication set up so they'll know ahead of time that we'll be arriving. That way, we won't have to wait for them to start moving as soon as we reach the target area. I'll inform an official that we've accepted the mission - the rest of you should count the amount of Dust rounds you have left and make other such preparations. Let's rendevous at the front gates of the camp in say... an hour? That should be sufficient time, yes."

Violet shouldered the butt of her rifle. "I'll do what I can. You just help me walk, Alex" she flashed him a smile. "The rest of you do what you can. and whatever you do, stay calm try to avoid much emotion and we can get to a base-camp without a fight." she added to what Krystal said; which would have been what Violet would have told them. Great minds think alike it seems.

Siva small.png
Siva was very satisfied with Duke's initial plan. The young man had more grit than she initially attributed to him, evident by his wish of taking in both missions in a single go. Nilla seemed to agree on the plan as well; after listening to what the other girl had to say both about the mission and to her, Siva nodded in agreement. The two didn't have the best of beginnings but she sensed they'd get along a lot better fighting alongside each other. And she better be right about that feeling, since the team's swordfighters would have the crucial role of making up a sturdy, reliable frontline.
Eigen's opinions contrasted quite a bit with everything Siva had thought so far, but then again, she was trying her hardest to keep herself from hasty decisions. Instead, she simply suggested:
"I think we should decide about the White Fang mission later, after the hospital's free. If we feel like we have plenty of gas left, we can just hit up the good folks here with the communications you mentioned and confirm the mission from there. How does that sound to you?" Presently after that, she added: "Oh, and I think I'll take the pause. I have a little errand I wanna sort before we go."
One hour was a bit too much, to the point Siva wondered if there would be anything left of the hospital for them to save, but Nilla had a point when she said they shouldn't overdo themselves before the battle even started. One more hour of waiting... She could handle it without getting into trouble.
...Maybe.

Sighing the pink haired girl nodded, "If you guys think you'll need that long then I suppose so.. let's just hope we don't waste too much daylight. I don't want to be fighting an army of darkness in the night if I don't have to" she stated and waved to them without wasting any time in dismissing herself but that she began to walk off and disappeared into the hectic placement of tents and recovery areas. These people were wounded and she could tell but some weren't wounded from the physical damage itself, some were weak because they had witnessed what they had and that was likely scarier than anyone could begin to imagine. She made her way into the forest and sat down against a tree where she waited and listened. This was as good a place as any to wait for the hour to pass and rest up for a bit, as long as she had the energy to keep slashing then she knew that she could easily handle anything that the world threw at her.. any Grimm that it could conjure up.
