Fandom RWBY: Adventures in Vale [No Longer Accepting]

The Red nosed Rhythm Rider brushed his nose as he watched Sharkey's pick literally dance out of his sight into the throng of ravers. Blinking lazily, he shrugged and reached down to pick up his bag of powder when a large boot entered his line of vision.

Looking up, he found another Rhythm Rider, only this one was in clothing similar to the DJs. Neon Blue Hoodie with a massive pair of headphones around his neck and streaks of glowing blue in his hair. The major difference besides his face and the fact that he was obviously wearing glowing green contact lenses was that this Rhythm Rider also wore some kind of mouth mask. Taking several deep breaths, the larger Rhythm Rider bent down and picked up the Red-Nosed Rhythm Rider's pouch.

"Rudolph, just why?" the larger Rhythm Rider asked with a shake of his head "All the times you can be whipping this out in public and you had to pick now? In front of her? In a room with a good sized number of them?"

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Rider just rolled his eyes before lazily reaching for the pouch, which was held just out of his reach.

The larger Rhythm Rider shook his head as he kept holding the bag out of Rudolph's reach. He then took a look in Hansi's direction before putting Rudolph in a headlock and walking him out of the rave of party goers. As he did so, he spoke into his hoodie lightly for a moment before hauling Rudolph off to one of the few doors labeled 'Maintenance'.

The Rave's DJ was also speaking into his hoodie, and once he finished whatever conversation he was involved in he waved one of the Rhythm Riders guarding him over, He showed her his turntables and handed her his Headphones before taking his leave and making his way along the overhanging catwalks.

As he moved, a single Rhythm Rider who had helped man the kegs paused as she fished into the pocket of her glow stick covered skirt and whipped out her scroll. Skimming the message, she shrugged and made her way over to Hansi and Nyx.

"Hey Newbie!" the Rhythm Rider called out as she approached the girls, scroll in hand "Inductees head upstairs, dance is about to begin."

As she said that she whipped up her scroll and quickly took a picture of Hansi, which she then proceeded to send. She looked past the girls to one of the Rhythm Riders guarding the side doors, he showed it to his cohorts then waved in their direction.

"Hope you can dance well," the Rhythm Rider said before sliding a piece of gum in her mouth "the DJs ain't particularly in good moods tonight. Head over there, they'll let ya in. Its the first elevator on the right. Friends stay outside, they can cheer or comfort you when the dance is done with, honey."

With that, the Rhythm Rider blew a bubble before popping it and returning to her post.

Elsewhere, Maroon had already begun taking note of the DJ's switch out. He watched as the large Rhythm Rider moved along the Catwalks before disappearing into another guarded door. He'd also seen another one similar in appearance to the DJ drag another Rhythm Rider off into a guarded Maintenance room. He could only assume that the rest of the Rhythm Riders attending were upstairs.
Making his way through the crowd, he came across two individuals he really didn't feel like had the time to get involved with. But for the sake of the current mission of sating his curiosity, their assistance was necessary at this point.

"Herb and Lazuli, good to see Hansi was smart enough not come here alone." Maroon said as he moved out of the way of several nearby partygoers and turned towards the two members of Team HAWT, they appeared to be in the middle of a little argument so he planned on making his time associated with them quickly "I can see you two are in the middle of something so I'll make this brief. Where exactly is your team leader?"
"Who the bloody hell cares? Hansi's smart, she won't do anything stupid." Herb said, turning away from Lazuli "Your Maroon right?" he asked "I mean I could totally be wrong, and I'm sorry if I am, you just look the part."
"Great, you finished! And it's almost 11! You can do whatever you want with the rest of your night!" She threw up her hands, just happy to finally be free of her teammate. "I, for one, am going to curl up with my new book. Goodnight." And with that, she was walking out the door. She turned to Hazel, gesturing at the phone. "Hey, you'll be an ok leader. Once you get the hang of how to deal with people." She herself believed the words, but she knew Hazel had a long way to go before she could figure out how to organize anyone. Ivory then walked back to their room, and picked up her latest aquisition, a historical romance about a Human Noble and Faunus girl.
Hazel could not help but smile in response to Ivory's words of encouragement, "Thank you, Ivory. I needed that."

Hazel entered their dorm to see Aqua fast asleep on their desk. Hazel could not help but smirk at the scene, Aqua acts like a child at times.

Hazel grabbed Aqua's blanket and draped it over the sleeping girl, "Sleep tight, Aqua-Marie," said Hazel as she looked over Aqua's work.

"Ivory, I believe Aqua used the wrong tense on her third paragraph, I must say though you've done fantastically with her, usually she the worst habit of tense swapping."

Lazuli

"See? Scum," she replied, eyes still glued onto Hansi. She had stepped forward when she caught sight of a red nosed man getting close to Hansi but it seemed the girl handled herself well in that situation. "It doesn't matter if she can handle it or not. She's scared. You'd think her 'pet dog' would refuse to leave her, judging by how utterly useless he was without her this morning."

Still focused on Hansi, Lazuli didn't turn to acknowledge Maroon as he approached them. "Why don't you ask Mr. Blueballs? Oh, wait. He's too busy on his eternal quest to pop his cherry." Hansi seemed to have met up with another Beacon student by now. Talking. Talking. Talking. Then what seemed to be another Rider approaching her now. "Welp, I'm gonna go before I catch any loser off of you guys. Okay? Okay. Bye Cherry Scum. Bye Mr. Oreo."

After saying her goodbyes, Lazuli forced and shoved her way through the crowd until she could easily see Hansi's back. The gang girl was gone but there could easily be more nearby. So she did what seemed to be the most logical solution at the time.

She jumped onto Hansi's back, screaming like a child having a tantrum. "Mooooooommmm! It's no fun here. I wanna go hoooommmee!"

  • She frowned a bit as Nyx spoke. That girl was probably miserable stuck with team HANI. Hansi had a bit of a weakness for such situations. After all, the enemy of her enemy was her friend, and Nyx not liking Aqua surely made her a friend. A friend who needed cheering up. This would be easier to deal with than Lazuli, Teal, and Herb, that was for sure. "No, come on, stick with me! We'll have a good time, I promise! We'll request your favourite songs, dance like, I dunno, we're total idiots, maybe hit up on of those sketchy late night diners, the whole fun nighttime thing!" Even if she was worried, it was still a party right? A few dance songs, ditching later to get food that wasn't laden with drugs, they could still have a good time, right? Maybe she'd even get to relax a bit, if they left her alone for the rest of the night.

That was when the huge lady Rider came up, the sugary smell of cheap bubblegum on her breath (probably covering up something less than pleasant). "Dance? Y-yeah, I'm a great dancer!" A great choreographed dancer. Sure, her improved skills were pretty great, but she was famous for her routines, not her club dancing. "But uh... Do I, like, have to go now?" But the Bubblegum rider was already walking off. She looked back to Nyx. This might be important. This might be her closest shot to hit the Rhythm Riders where it matters. God, where were her teammates when it mattered to help her sort things out?

And then was when something knocked into her back. "What the actual- I'm not your mom or whoever the heck you think I-" she spun on the person who had grabbed her. "Lazuli?? Omigod, What the heck? Where's Herb? Did he run off or something? Have you seen the others?! What is going on?!"

Oh god, this was all happening too fast, she needed to come up with a plan now. But first, she needed to know why Lazuli was on her back.

Nyx changed her mind about the rave. All it took was some proper company and a little talking to convince her that she'd have at least some degree of fun. Hansi seemed like a cool girl, and probably one of the better choices to be at her first rave with. "Alright, I guess I'll stick with you. Maybe this won't be a waste of time after all," she said, shrugging and smiling. "Besides, the more time away from Aqua, the better. I hope some of that insanity is weeded out of her soon. Damn, I hope Ivory is doing alright..."

Then the Rhythm Rider came over to them. Nyx was a bit confused by the conversation. Inductees? Dancing? She wasn't a good dancer, although she thought Hansi probably was. What did she mean by "friends stay outside?" Was this some exclusive club that she wasn't invited into? Who was on Hansi's back okay what the hell is happening. She stepped back as Lazuli clung to her teammate, only able to say "Uh...", and "What is even going on?" a few seconds later.

@The Succubi Queen @amdreams @GrieveWriter to some extent

Maroon quirked an eyebrow at Herb's dismissal, with how much he and his team leader hung around each other he had expected something more along the lines of concern. And yet here was Lazuli, the one he had noticed seemed to fancy confrontation, keeping full tabs on her team leader in his stead. There was some strong juxtaposition occurring here, and Maroon had been taken off guard momentarily as he realized it.

"Um, yeah," he answered Herb as he looked between the two with a new look of concern "that would be me."

Having already followed Lazuli's line of sight, he too had spotted Hansi in time to see the small interaction she and who he remembered as a member of team HANI had with one of the Rhythm Riders. During this, Lazuli had immediately taken the time to insult Herb and him before making her way over to Hansi.

This was just... too backwards...

"Thanks?" he said in a questioning tone as Lazuli left, she had fulfilled his request albeit in a more than insulting manner. He should be quite miffed at how a lesser had insulted him, but honestly the sheer backwardness of the situation was more than enough to overpower his usual brand of annoyance.

With Hansi now firmly identified in the crowd, Maroon nodded to Herb before saying "Pardon me, my team requires this information."

(@Bullet Tooth Tony ) (@amdreams )

And then he entered the crowd of the dance floor again. In all honesty he had no idea what Amber or Citrine was doing and could only care so much considering how his Team Leader had been treating this situation, but he had gotten all that he had needed fro Hansi's lackeys. Now he'd just need to find-

*FLASH*

Maroon gripped his eyes as a camera went off directly in his face, the light momentarily blinding him as he stumbled back, "Citrine!" he hissed as he rubbed at his eyes "Have you no shame whatsoever in terms of-"

Maroon's words were cut off when he saw Amber standing before him, camera in hand. The two stared at each other for a moment, Amber in silence and Maroon in utter shock and confusion.

"Amber... is there something I can... help you with?" Maroon asked, unsurely, Amber had always seemed unfit for a group as talkative as theirs. With Citrine's popularity and Russette's strength, they had quite a bit of notoriety with the student population. Maroon had always found irritation when Citrine brought her groupies around with her, but jhis complaints ahd always gone largely ignored. Amber, however, had literally not spoken ONCE since he'd met her. He didn't care what Citrine said, the idea of Amber actually having working vocal chords was utterly bewildering at this point.

And now this... Amber didn't respond, instead looking past her teammate and zeroing in on something before dipping back into the crowd. Maroon stared after her, his certainty that Beacon just attracted the strangers of the world growing steadily in his mind.

"Huh- what?" Ivory looked up from her book. And she had just been getting to the good scene! The male lead had been talking about how his Faunus love interest had cured him of his dislike of Faunus, why did she always get interrupted in the good parts? "Uh, let me see.... oh look at that.. hmm.. I can help her rewrite it in the morning, if you don't mind us waiting until then. I'm kind of all brained out for the day. Hell, I might even go put on my PJ's... these stockings get so uncomfortable after a while." She tugged at the Nylon fabric around her thighs. "What about you? Do you have any plans for the rest of the night?"
Hazel nodded and said, "Yes, fixing up all of our papers so it would at the very least be presentable..." Hazel paused the moment she saw the book Ivory was reading, Hazel somberly asked the faunus, "That book you're reading... Does it have a happy ending?"

Hazel doesn't know why she bothers relationships with faunus always turn for the worse for her, either they're a white fang sleeper agent or gobbled-up by Grimm.

"What info?" Herb asked trailing him, he'd now switched it up, popping his proverbial cherry wasn't his main quest right now, finding out what Maroon was doing was. "Whats going on?"

(Sorry Ian. Didn't notice.)

"Hm? Ah. Yes sir. Everything is alright." Argen was not about to let the truth slip from his mouth again. It was bad enough it slipped before. The knight swallowed the imaginary lump in his throat and put on a small smirk. "It's just very crowded is all." Argen and his captain are easily the biggest people in the club and watching the scene go unfold up ahead with Hansi and what appeared to be rhythm riders. The knights hand almost twitched in response to go assist but he quickly noticed that they seemed to be conversing only. Not to mention if trouble was stirring Hansi could handle herself. She wasn't the leader for no reason and if nothing else she was still a huntress. That means a lot. Argen had the habit of forgetting that sometimes, though it seems like Hansi forgot that herself sometimes. When the exchange ended, Argen taps Saffron on the shoulder and walks to join Hansi and the fellow student she is talking to.

Lazuli

Lazuli made a sniffling noise as Hansi turned to address her, then brought her hand up to her eye as if to wipe away the imaginary tears. She was still smiling though which was ruining the image of any sort of pain. "What? Mommy, you don't love me anymore? I should've known. Ever since my brother was born, you and dad only pay attention to him." This was followed by a chuckle as she remained clamped onto the dancer's back.

She pursed her lips, a look of clear distaste on her face. "Boo. I ditched that loser long ago. I got a rep to keep you know. Can't be associating with weak virgin boys like Cherry Boy." She showed no sign of getting off of Hansi's back. This was what the girl wanted. right? "Good luck trying to get you to join their gang with an Ashtrum strapped to your back." Lazuli had her back now. Literally. Plus, she was just tired. Lazuli didn't feel like walking or standing anymore.

Someone else seemed to speak up, making Lazuli hold up a finger to the girl, another Beacon student but one that Lazuli didn't deem important enough to keep in her memory banks, which was pretty much everyone. Hell, sometimes she forgot Herb was on their team. "Upupup! This is a family matter. Family ears only," she told Nyx, fully aware of the fact that she had just been screaming a bit earlier.

  • She was about to talk to Lazuli when the Bubblegum Rider came back.

"Listen, girlie. You might be Sharky's recruit, but that doesn't mean we're gonna wait around for you. You got 30 seconds before I drag your twig ass upstairs. Kid of not."

Hansi grabbed Lazuli off her back, holding her under the armpits. Dang, the girl was tiny. "Lazuli- I mean, uh. sweetheart, mommy is kind of busy right now, but you know I love you..." She put the girl down on the ground. "Listen uh.. remember when mommy did that, uh... dance show for the circus last weekend? I'm gonna give the same show tonight, ok? I just need you to, like, find Teal and.. your brother, and let them know!" She flashed the same signal she had used when they had fought the Ancient Creep. "Same signal, ok? When you see it, that means it's time to get mommy, ok?"

She gave a small sigh as Argen approached. Great. He could keep Lazulii in check. She could make this all work. "Ok, listen, Lazulii, honey. Auntie Nyx is totally your family, and we can trust her and Uncle Argen, or whatever. Stay close to them and.. mommy will be back soon."

She looked to Nyx, "I'm sorry, we'll party later, I promise, I'm like super duper really really sorry." Then to Argen. "Just. Get saffron and like, make sure you take care of the uh.. kids."

She hoped her nonsensical message made sense. It might be a lot of trouble if it didn't. She followed after the large woman, her mental alarm bells louder than any thoughts she had.

    "Good luck, Twig."

  • "I can totally fix your essays! I'll wake up early and do it." She smiled at Hazel, looking over her book. She probably shouldn't have agreed so easily, but she was just that kind of person. "I'll do it after lunch tomorrow."
"I don't know. I haven't finished it yet. But I think it will. Love like this always works out in the end. Against the odds, real love lasts." She gives a small smile. "I can lend it to you, when I'm done. I'll try not to spoil anything until then. Now then, I am so fucking uncomfortable right now, it's PJ time!" she dropped the book on the bed and ran to the bathroom, her baggy pajamas slung over one arm.
"Actually, my paper's just fine... albeit a bit bias if I were to be honest..." Hazel said in response to Ivory wanting to help her fix her essay, unfortunately it fell on deaf ears as the faunus girl has all ready left for the Bathroom to ready herself for a well deserved night's sleep.

Hazel took a quick glance at her best friend, Aqua, who was fast asleep on the desk; then thoughts of Nyx doing God know's what at the rave, Hazel let out a sigh and said to herself, "Sienna, I hope to God you're right about me being the right choice, because looking at my team now, it's a total mess."

Maroon watched through squinted eyes as Hansi followed the Rhythm Rider to lord knows where, he grumbled to himself a bit just as Herb spoke up.

Maroon looked back at him for a moment, still not completely convinced that all of Hansi's teammates were in the right of mind if that little interaction back there was any indication. And at Herb's question, Maroon rolled his eyes before trying to continue keeping tabs on Hansi.

"We're keeping watch over your Leader, she's gotten herself into gang related activities." Maroon said in a semi-disinterested tone "In all honesty I often don't care about the stupid decisions people make, but taking up the Riders on their proposals from earlier today has got to be one of the riskier things she's done in the time I've known her, especially considering..."

(@Bullet Tooth Tony )

Hansi found herself directed through a guarded door, the two guards casting her several waves as she was ushered in. After being directed to an elevator, she finally found herself on the third floor of Club Chrome. Unsurprisingly, there were more Rhythm Riders up there but still a much smaller amount than was to be expected.

After following the directions given by one of the Elevator Guards, the sounds of enthusiastic clubbing died down and were replaced by, oddly enough, a small symphony. Coming upon another door, Hansi found herself in a large wide room. Along the sides were Rhythm Riders who seemed to have been deprived of their candy, smokes and other implements. Despite this, they seemed oddly sedated considering.

They were all watching the center of the room, where a bunch of civilians were doing what could only be described as ballroom dancing. At the other end of the room, a small assembly of Rhythm Riders wielding cellos and violins were playing a small piece with the Club DJ himself acting as the conductor.

This completely different scene was not to be pondered for long, for not long after Hansi had entered someone immediately made his way over to her.

"And the Guppy graces us with her presence!" The Golden haired Rhythm Rider said as he fiddled with the cuffs of his white dress shirt "And here I thought you'd been scared off by your voucher's likeness. I hadn't gotten the chance to introduce myself during our small encounter last time, I am Goldbloom. Fabulous tap dancer and running man for the Symphonic Sect of the Rhythm Riders. And welcome to initiation. I trust that your Voucher did little to explain what you'd be doing here today, no?"

(@The Succubi Queen )

Lazuli

Lazuli narrowed her eyes at Hansi as the girl picked her up with ease. "Don't pick me up," she said, puffing out her cheeks in disapproval. She didn't liked to be picked up. It was demeaning. She was a soldier, not a puppy.

Hansi then told her to find her "brothers" before disappearing after a Rhythm Rider. Seeing this, Lazuli dropped to the floor dramatically, holding her hand out to the dancer's vanishing form. "NOOOOO!!! Mommy, don't leave me! It's just like dad all over again!" Her body slumped to the floor, her shoulders shaking as if sobbing. "I don't want to find brother. He's a loser." This lasted a brief moment before she popped up like a piece of toast, perfectly chipper as if nothing had happened. So she had to find Herb now . . . Shouldn't be hard. She could probably just follow the stench of failure right to him.

  • "My uh.. Voucher? Oh, you mean Sharky? You know he didn't really- I really shouldn't be here, ya know, Mr. Uh.. Goldbloom? I mean like, I don't think I'm what you're looking for..." Maybe she could still wriggle out of all of this? At this point she had no idea what was going on. She had been expecting to come up here and be faced with a shady lounge full of drugged up gangsters but this seemed.. almost classy? She wasn't a ballroom dancer, but he had said tap? What kind of crazy mess had she landed herself into? Sure, this guy seemed like he wasn't half bad, but he was still a dangerous gangster. Right?

She was too worried about what was going on downstairs to actually focus on what was happening here. She wished she had actually been able to come up with some kind of plan. But that had always been Teal and Sova's thing. They were the planners, but she was a leader. She should know what was happening. She hated leaving things like this to other people. Especially when it involved putting herself into situations like this.

All in all, she was a cocktail of confusion and fear, and she just wanted to run and hide. But she couldn't. She had to be strong. She had a job to do. She had to investigate. This was just another stage, and she was a performer. Right? Deep breath. Take the negative feelings down to your feet, and dance them into the dirt.

"Yeah, no, Sharky didn't tell me anything. He was just being super creepy in that restaurant, and I didn't exactly know what he wanted, until you came in and took him away. I'm like, super nervous, to be honest, and I have like, no idea what's going on. Mind letting me in on the details?" She flashed an eager smile at him, putting on the attitude she hoped was normal for an eager recruit.

  • Eventually Ivory came back out, dressed in a t-shirt the was many sizes too large, and a pair of athletic shorts. "Who's Sienna?" She asked, flopping back down on her bed, and rifling through the pages of her book. She had a bad habit of losing bookmarks, so she'd just given up on them.
"We're not that bad, ya know? You might still be learning the leading thing, but Nyx and I are pretty ok, and if the three of us work together, we can keep Aqua under wraps. That girl gives us enough of a mutual cause, for fucking sure?" She then settled back into her book, slung across the bed in a most unladylike manner. "Just, don't worry so much. You don't need to be our mom. You just need to be our friend. We'll follow you naturally, once we like you."
Hazel smiled at Ivory's words of confidence, "Thank you, Ivory, you're such a sweetheart."

Hazel then realized that she has yet to answer Ivory's initial question.

"Also on who Sienna is, finish your book and come back to me."

She turned and started walking towards the club and managed to get waved to the front of the line for some reason. "Quick weapons search ma'am." The bouncer said and Beo raised her arms. She had left her axes at home of course but her slight paranoia had prevented her from leaving her wires, which were still spooled and wrapped around her arm. Besides, she didn't feel quite comfortable without the cold cord pinching her arm as weird as it sounded. She stepped inside with a smile and took a deep breath, there was dancing there was a bar. "This is going to be fun." She said.

"No thanks." Lilith said before the girls left, "As you said, not my scene." As Lilith turned and walked away she called out "Have fun" over her shoulder, before being swallowed up by the night.

Several minutes later, She stepped off the airship and back onto Beacon campus. 'Finally, some peace and quiet...'

Goldbloom chuckled, "Oh Ms. Kharabai, it is not so much of a complicated procedure we have going for us tonight."

The fact he'd known her name was apparently too unimportant for him to hold on, for he continued talking without missing a beat.

"Being in this little association of Rhythm often requires more than your everyday raver, darling." he said before waving his arms across the room to the dancers "And though we readily accept those who find true rhythm in the heavy pounding of a bass, it is those who have an appreciation for multiple or fancier forms of rhythm that find themselves becoming more... beneficial to our little group."

He motioned towards the civilians, who had paired up for ballroom dancing, "The people you see moving here are similar to you, they all have the ability to move their bodies according to the majestic guidelines of rhythm quite professionally. Treat them as equals, Dear Kharaba, for they have the potential to become some of the most powerful members of our little association. Much like you do in fact."

He pulled out a scroll as he spoke, "It is a habit of mine to second guess Jaws' pickings when it comes to members of my branch, I'm sure you understand why Ms. Kharaba. But after having our checker outside view you and get some backstory on this wonderful Ribbon Dancing of all things, I knew that my cohort's judgment had not failed me."

He looked over the scroll, locking eyes with Hansi with a small smile before he continued reading "What with X's enhancements starting to circulate within our faction, and the Gigglers becoming bolder and more organized with each passing day. We'll need more and more of your kind of recruits, there's simply not enough DJs to keep the battle going on their own."

"We will be changing music styles every six minutes darling, if memory serves correct up next will be smooth jazz followed by Tap, personal favorite." he stated before putting his scroll away and handing her a pamphlet "The objective is to keep moving in Rhythm for as many songs as you feel you can. No pressure, darling, there is no minimum number of styles you must be familiar with. Partner up with one of the other inductees if you must. After all..."

"... I'm sure a huntress in training such as yourself will find plenty of uses for social rhythmic movement."

Lazuli

Lazuli gave the lion faunus a funny look. Way to break the canon. She had already established that the dad was out of the picture. Ugh. Amateur. And a buzzkill it seemed as well, judging by how eagerly he was trying to poke holes in her game. "Stranger danger!" she shouted, pointing accusingly at Saffron before kicking him hard in the shin. "I don't want a step-dad! I only want mama back!" She promptly ran into the crowd after that, more than willing to shout "Bad touch" if any grabbed her.

Weaving between drugheads and sluts, keeping an eye out for that familiar head of blond hair. Luckily, Herb was fairly tall, making it a bit easier for someone of Lazuli's height to spot him. And soon enough, she did catch sight of him . . . And tackled him to the ground. "'Sup bro. Any luck becoming a man?"

@Bullet Tooth Tony

  • She gulped. Whatever fake cover she had was blown before she had even walked in here. She didn't know why she was surprised, but she was. But, she was surprisingly calm. This guy... actually didn't seem that bad, and any gang that involved ballroom dancing couldn't be that malicious, could it? After all, she hadn't actually seen them do anything bad. Maroon had said they wrecked shops, but there had also been mention of the Gigglers? Maybe this was a case of an actual gang meeting some kind of vigilante justice? Did the Riders just have a bad rap?

She was even more confused now. Had she jumped to conclusions here? She needed to know more, and she wasn't going to learn anything by sneaking.

So, she might as well just ask. "If you know all this stuff about me, and you're supposed to be a group of criminals, why even let me this far? You know my job is kind of to put a stop to stuff like this. Soo, why am I here? What if I already have the cops here ready to take you all out?" It was a stretch of the truth, but she didn't want to give away her team downstairs.

"And It's Voi dancing, thank you very much. Ribbon Dancing is for gymnasts with tiny strings on sticks." Why she had felt insulted by that, she couldn't say.

Herb was taken entirely by surprise, and fell on the ground, crushing a minute fox faunas under his ample girth. "Fuckin hell!" he grunted at Lazuli "What the flamming fuck is your problem?"

Nyx sighed as Hansi walked with the Rhythm Rider. She didn't care what the dancer was doing, but she was still kind of disappointed that her bit of real company left her. She shrugged and looked for somewhere to sit, eventually making do with sitting against a wall, after giving up trying to find people to hang out with. It's not easy looking for someone that you recognize through a huge crowd when you're only 4'9". If not everyone, almost everyone is taller than you and becomes an obstacle fore your vision. Nyx would have used her semblance again, but last time, trying to stay in the light was way too hard, and she didn't want to go through that again.

Lazuli

Lazuli laughed as she watched Herb take down a faunus girl. Cool. Two for the price of one. It'd be better if she got a strike though. Herb started yelling at her, only making Lazuli smile brighter. "You know girls don't like guys who yell a lot. Well, just wanted to let you know that the circus freak you said could take of herself followed a gang member through a closed off door to get initiated into the Rhythm Riders." She moved her hands in an arcing motion, as if to make an imaginary rainbow. Her voice obviously mocking.

"But you know, who cares about that, right? I mean she can obviously take care of herself. Alone in a strange place filled with possibly dangerous people. Just typical stuff for a 15 year old girl, right?"
