Lazuli

Lazuli was now in position, standing atop a large chunk of stone by the jagged pillar. The dust chamber of her weapon was already set to the dust Teal had given her, more than ready to be used. She watched Hansi's little "performance" as the girl lured the creep toward her. So this girl was part of the circus? That . . . that would explain quite a lot actually.


She didn't have much time to think on this as Hansi had already gotten the grimm into position. And once she had called out to her, Lazuli crouched low before kicking off as hard as she could. She jumped off the stone and up toward the underbelly of the creep, her fist glowing a bright purple. A wide grin appeared on her face. This was going to be fun. "Shoryuken!" she shouted, right before uppercutting the giant lizard's jaw. The impact fromt he dust was more than she had thought, causing both the creep and her to reel back from the kick of it.


Falling down, she twisted midair, and landed square on her feet before she immediately ran off toward another pillar nearby. She released a yellow dust from Apostle Sin and her feet began to give off a faint glow. Her speed increased drastically, and she zoomed forward and up the pillar. If she was to slam this thing down, she'd need higher ground. She just hoped she got the timing of this right as she didn't see anything immediately onthe ceiling of this place that she could grab onto if she was going too fast. Once she was almost at the top, she jumped off, now flying in the air above the grimm.


It was now or never. Either the boys would be able to do their part now or . . . She had no idea what would happen but it wasn't going to be good. But whatever happened to her, she would make sure the others had a very entertaining game to play.

"How old are you Lilith?" Mel asked her Teammate
"Because I might be as old if not a touch bit older than you!" Mel wagged her finger in front of Lilith.


"Plus just because I'm 4'8" doesn't mean you can treat me like that!"

Lilith just shook her head. "Age and size have nothing to do with it." she said calmly. No, she would never base her treatment of some on how old they were or how old they appeared. Her own sister was one of those people that acted older than they looked. She had even chewed Lilith out the one time she tried to coddle her. Just another thing Mel mirrored.


After a moment Lilith added, "I'm seventeen. Eighteen in four months."

Mel released Lilith form her embrace and said, "Now how's about we go meet up with Beo and Worzel before some other giant Grimm decides to show up!"

Next step, help Lazulii. If she needed it, which Hansi didn't really think she would, if this whole mess went off without a hitch. Of course, Hansi wasn't too big into the idea of taking avoidable chances. Luck didn't tend to work in her favour, so


She pushed off the ground into a backflip, carrying through and tossing her knives back up into the ceiling. She pulled them taut, increased the tension with her semblance, and launched herself at the ceiling. If anything went really wrong from here, she could catch Lazulii, and if things went really well, she could drop on the monster like a stone. A very light skinny stone.


But that wasn't what mattered now. She hung from the ceiling by using Baingani and its ribbon as a sort of sling, surveying the remaining area. There were still enough relics left for the lot of them, but.. was that the creepy knight guy? Was he just standing there? What was with people just ignoring this fight going on? Jeez. You'd think at least one would have checked on them.


Her other knife rested loosely in her right hand, ready to be tossed (so she could perform a rescue operation if need be) or stabbed (if things went well and they were actually able to kill this thing).

Herb chuckled and watched everything go down, "See you in hell fuck face!" Herb growled, slicing the creeps ankle with Envy, he began to watch the beast lose balance, and looked at Teal, "Alright, your turn now miamigo." he said with a chuckle.

Mel then muttered to herself, "Damn! I thought I was older but I'm turning Eighteen next year!"
"Look, Lilith I'm... sorry about what happened back there..." Mel then gave Lilith a warm smile and a hug.


"But thanks for keep me out of trouble, lord knows I need someone to do that when I'm caught in the heat of the moment."


Mel released Lilith form her embrace and said, "Now how's about we go meet up with Beo and Worzel before some other giant Grimm decides to show up!"

The hug caught Lilith off guard. Why was Mel hugging her? She barely knew her. Unsure how to react, she timidly returned the hug. Could she really just ditch this girl after that?


As Mel turned to walk away, Lilith put a hand on her shoulder to stop her. "Just... don't put yourself in unnecessary danger."

Teal watched as everything unfolded, damn they were already shaping up to be one of Vales top hunters....hopefully, he was watching the other team and they seemed quite weird and seemed to not have an overall plan to things, that would get them killed for sure. Everyone needs a nerd on their team, its the only way to come up with plans. Teal watched as the beast was falling back but it was not enough, then Herb ran forward and cut one foot, yeah one more heel and then the push would kill it. Teal's boomerangs glowed a bright orange as he readied he then flung them. "Hope you like it hot and steamy" Teal says.

The boomerangs turned into massive magma balls shredding the heel he was supposed to hit, then he flicked them back, they quickly cooled and the dust ejected being too hot to handle so he was forced to get rid of perfectly good dust. But that was how magma worked, it was pretty much a one time use. That's how it always would be, as was gravity and shield. Teal caught he boomerang and turned away from the monster walking towards the relic. As they say, cool guys don't look at massive grimm deaths. But to be honest he wanted to go analyze each domino and choose wisely. While walking Teal got another warning however it was warning about a creep, he got rid of it. That thing...was good as dead. But what he did not realize was that was not a warning for the creep they were about to kill.

"Wait!" Hansi fell to the floor in a spin, yanking her ribbon from the ceiling, the red ribbon landing in a pile behind her as she ran. She really needed to figure out a retracting system for these.


"You." She pointed to Tealiose, then Lazulii. "Names. I mean. What are your names? I never had a chance to catch them." She began to wrap the ribbon around her wrist, figuring they were relatively safe for now, and that she could fold them up nicely later.

Mel waved at Beo and WarZii, "So not bad for a new team, huh?" Mel said with a smug look on her face.


"Well then now we got the relics... what's next?"

"Hopefully going back to school." Beo said, "I need a long nap. Lets get out of this cave first though I need to stare at the clouds for like two hours then climb until I can convince myself there's no celing. Uggh." She slouched and waved them ll on and started walking towards the exit.

Mel gave Beo a curtsy and headed to the exit with the rest of the team.


"By the way, Beo... I'm super sorry about the Storm... I really wanted to impress you..."


Mel paused then shook her head then said, "Oh and the Professors, I'm sure they were watching."

Lazuli

As Lazuli began picking up velocity on her descent, she noticed the creep beginning to teeter before falling backwards. Yes! This was going to be epic!


Above her, a giant stone fist formed out of the dust from her bracers. Bright red cracks contrasting the dark of the stone. The back of the creep hit the makeshift spike and Lazuli made a punching motion, sending the stone fist slamming into the creep, exploding on impact to further push the thing down. The spike underneath it impaled the grimm, its body already starting to dissipate as it slid down the pillar. Lazuli landed on the creep, sliding down its underbelly until she was on the ground, now watching the results of what just happened.


That. Was. So fun! The one liners were rather creepy though. "Kinky"? "Hot and Steamy"? Did they really have to use those? Was she working with a bunch of perverts? Well, she could get rid of the circus giant and sir douchebag but she was stuck with Suzy Sunshine . . .


Circus girl came flying down asking their names and Lazuli jumped up. "Well, I'm Lazuli and this", she said, rushing to Teal's side. "Is Suzy Sunshine. Yeah, we go way back, like 2 hours."

The Castle...

As Grimm stalked the halls, and the battle concluded upstairs, three students ran though the building. Sliding at a corner, Maroon immediately took off as he tried reloading his trivolver while running. Following directly behind him was Amber, focusing more on dodging the Grimm they passed than on the low amount of bullets she had. Behind the two of them was Citrine, not because of her lack of speed but mostly because she was running backwards.


"Magnificent rage!" she said, snapping her camera as she ran "You are an unstoppable tank, now feel that fury and indulge in it! Darling, try hitting it some more!"


Russette waved in acknowledgement from the back of a significantly large Boarbutusk which was charging after her three comrades. Russ raised her shield and bashed it into the side of the creature's head some more while it just bellowed out more roars of anger. The Boarbutusk's armor was able to withstand the blows from the shield, but that didn't stop it from pissing the Grimm off.


Citrine's camera flashed several more times before a blinking red light appeared on it, the photographer whining as she realized she'd finally ran out of film. Sighing, she turned to run the proper way as the three of them finished ascending another set of stairs and weaving threw several confused looking Ursas which were immediately batted away by the Boarbutusk.


Citrine took several looks at the hall they were running through and grinned before saying "Ambie, an application of glyphs is necessary!"


Amber slid to a halt at the next turn as Maroon and Citrine leaped to the side, Citrine yelled out to Russ "If you would please place the brakeage upon your mount , Fraulein?"


Russ just waved a hand in acknowledgement before backing up on the Boarbutusk's back and leaping forward. Through sheer strength the impact was enough to cause the Boarbutusk to lose balance on its hooves, and slid towards amber right as a glyph appeared before her. Citrine let Golden Hour form into a sword as the Boarbutusk slid onto the glyph and was sent flying over Amber's head from the resulting explosion. Russ leaped off before the Boarbutusk crashed through the wall behind Amber and slid into the massive room where the Relics were being held. Citrine followed after it through the hole and buried Golden Hour into its abdomen as it fell to the ground. After some digging around, the Beast finally slumped and began dissipating.


Citrine hopped off the vanishing Grimm as Maroon and Amber stepped in to survey the scene.


He immediately ran over to the relics as Amber helped a slightly dazed Russ to her feet and Citrine took the time to swap out for a fresh clip of film.


Maroon completely ignored the other students which were already there, and only glanced aside momentarily as he felt the castle rumble a bit. When he reached the pedestals he found that they'd be collecting Dominoes, and was displeased to find that there were literally dozens of pieces already missing. It would seem that they wouldn't be one of the first teams to acquire pieces, but in fact would be one of the last.


He just rolled his eyes and swiped a piece, glancing back to see Citrine already shamelessly photographing the other students there.


"Well jeez," Maroon said with a disappointed tilt of the head as he gripped the domino in his free hand and looked over the rest of the assembled students "can't believe I have to be lumped into the same grouping as these simpletons."


He shook his head before shrugging, then stepping out of the way as a medium sized rock fell from the ceiling and impacted with the ground he was standing near.


Russ walked past him and stared at the remaining dominos, a look of silent awe in her eyes "Shiny!"


"Indeed" Maroon commented as Russ grabbed one


Citrine photographed several more of the nearby students before turning o Maroon, then her face nearly split from the smile she grew "Oh my! Darling, if you could get it to roar for the camera, please."


Maroon quirked an eyebrow behind his glasses and turned around just as the last Ancient Creep descended from the ceiling and landed extremely close to the remaining Dominos.


The gunslinger through himself back as the beast roared, landing near Citrine as the photographer's camera went wild "Yes, instill yourself as the Apex Predator, feel that unholy rage as your home is invaded by puny humans! Do not hesitate to release that anger in a roar of pure hatred!"


Maroon got to his feet as Amber ran over, Vector blades at the ready, along with Russ who still rubbed her head. He was about to open fire on the Grimm when he noticed something, it hadn't stopped roaring since it had appeared.


Looking at Amber in confusion, Maroon was given no time before a second loud smashing sound arose. The gunslinger turned around and watched as something's massive fist careened through the floor on the other side of the room. The fist opened up and tore several more yards of floor out as it pulled an even larger Grimm up out of the depths of the room below. As Citrine continued photographing the Creep, Maroon's eyes went wide as the massive bone-like mask on its face revealed two large red eyes, each about the size of his torso.


It resembled a massive Gorilla with fists of bus shaped bone, it was only able to raise its top half up to the floor they were in, and held its massive form there with its arms.


"Kaiju Kong." Maroon said slowly as he realized it must've been nesting in the middle section of the castle and the Creep's resonating roars in conjunction with the fighting must have awoken it.

Maroon looked between the massive Ape-Grimm and the Ancient Creep on their side, and could only sigh as the Kaiju Kong's massive hands lunged towards them and the rest of the students.


The four of them all dodged in different directions as the Kaiju Kong's fist careened through the air, the Ancient Creep leapt upon the larger Grimm and scaled its arm before crouching upon the Kong's shoulder as the massive beast went in for another swipe with its hands.

The Ancient Creep leaped at the would be Team.


Mel backed away slowly from the Grimm, "Worzel, if you have plans on being a hero... Now would be an amazing time!"


I just want to go to bed...

WarZii stumbled from the mini-quake from the giant Grimm's weight. "This can't be real," He muttered to himself.Popping his neck WarZii walked towards the Ancient Creep drawing Storm charger from his back in Sword and shield form. "Plan?" He looked back at Mel with a smile, "Simple, We kill it." He charged at the mighty beast before jumping at it slashing his sword in a downward motion.


Seeing WarZii preemptive assault the A. Creep reared back and swung it's hard head at WarZii. WarZii's blade clashed against the A. Creeps tough maskd and he was sent flying back.


In the air WarZii turned his body so his shield would collide against the ground. The impact sent a sharp pain from his shoulder down his arm. He slid several feet on his shield.

"I'm afraid Pretty Boy Herb here and I have got you beat. 2 and a half hours, practically our whole lives." She flashed a broad grin. "So, 'Suzy', Lazuli, let's say we go to that altar, grab some relics and part ways as unlikely-" she was interrupted by the smashing of the Kaiju Kong as it entered the scene.


She spun in the direction of the noise, "What the-" she took in the huge beast, standing almost a story above the lot of them. Frankly, it was terrifying, and there was no way she on any one of them could take it on alone. Heck, she wasn't even sure the roughshod team of herself, Lazuli, Herb and Teal could take it down alone.


That left.. she noticed Mel and some guy with a giant shield already attacking it. Oh god, really? She couldn't catch a break. And things had finally been looking up for her.


Hmm.. maybe she could just...


"Herb, let's just, like, take a relic and go, we don't need to fight this thing, and, to be honest, I'm not sure we can, we should just, I dunno, get the heck out of here?" In all honesty, she would rather be viewed as a coward than have to cooperate with Mel. The little blond would probably throw her to the Kong as a distraction, and while Data had done essentially the same thing, he also had an actual brain in his head.


She looked back at Lazuli and Tealiose. "You guys get in on this slaughterhouse if you want, but, ya see, I'm here to pass a test, not like, commit suicide."

Mel dodges the attacks of the two Ancient Grimm.
"I was hoping after nearly having the entire roof fall on us we can have... you know... a break!" Mel said in-between dodges


"Can this day get any worse?" Mel said under her breath


She then notices Herb charging at Kaiju Kong.


"I spoke too soon..."

Mel searched in her pocket for something... "Where is it?! I know I put it here!" She said frantically.


"FOUND IT!" she exclaimed with joy as she pulled out a vial of dust. "My old science fair project! Nearly blew up the whole school with this stuff! I wonder if that Grimm's hungry?"
