Roxy was awaken by a bright burning light piercing through her eyelids. With a grumble she sat up, rubbing her throbbing temples. Opening her eyes in a mere squint, she looked around trying to figure out where she was. By the looks of it she was in a bed chamber of a medevil castle. As she opened her eyes more, she noticed that the light that she had first mistaken as sunlight was not as it had first appeared. There was a more of a glow to it, a flicker perhaps. A light she had known all too well. She jumped out of bed, ignoring the soaring pain that surged through her body and stumbled to the window on the far wall. As she tossed back the satin curtains her eyes grew wide with disbelief. She stood, gawking at the view in front of her. What looked to be like a normal country side, with only one minor variant; it was surrounded By a ring of fire. She ran for the door in a panic, tugging on the door handle only to find it was locked. Pounding on the solid door with both fists, she cried frantically, "where the hell am I?! Let me out! LET ME OUT!" after minutes of effortless beatings, she backed slowly to the bed, her weight giving out on her as soon as the back of her knees touched the bed. She sank to the bed, the adrenaline had worn off now and the pain was more excruciating than before. Roxy gritted her teeth, holding her stomach as she rocked slightly back and forth. Just then, she heard the door unlock, and in walked a shadowy figure, hidden by a long hooded cloak. Staring in terror as the being approached closer, she could only muster up a whisper. "W-w-who are you...?" She stammered. The voice that replied was husky and aged.
"I was sent to bring you to the king. Come now" a cold bony grasp enclosed on her arm, effortlessly pulling her back off the bed. In a state of complete and utter confusion, she didn't object. She simply stumbled after the being. The halls were lined with torches hanging from the walls, the floor and walls made entirely of stone. Once again she summoned up her voice. "Where am I?" She asked, looking up at the being timidly. A low chuckle was her response. "You shall learn soon enough, child." But then she knew. The fire, the castle, the shadowy figure leading her down the corridors without so much as a single breath. She was in hell. Her stomach flipped with the realization, as a swarm of questions filled her head. Why was she here? Was she dead? If so, how did she die? What could she have possibly done to deserve this destination? Her thoughts were quickly interrupted as a dark deep voice called out to her from the room to which they were heading. "Roxanne Fierra " the voice chilled her to the bone, a deep gnawing fear festering in her soul as she recognised the voice without ever having heard it before. She was being beckoned by none other than the devil himself.
