It's been far too long. I don't have an excuse for taking this long to get back to this other than just having other projects outside of here and just having a writing block. I want to apologize for the delay in getting back on here. Admittedly the longer I took to get back the more scared I was to come back like no matter what I did it would not excuse the wait.
With that being said I concluded that I'm not happy with some of the ideas I originally had. The original plan was to focus on tensions between monsters and humans after Undertale. But iv grown to be unconfident in being able to tell a story like that. I also realized that I needed to make fights roll by faster to get back to the RP as trying to describe each attack took up too much time and was unnecessary. I would like to flesh out the combat system to be both fair and faster so we can get out of encounters quickly to move the story.
A part of me wants to reboot everything. I don't want to throw everything we've made out the window though. Thankfully the story is still pretty early in so it wouldn't be too much of an overhaul.
Keep the same characters and some of the plot I wanted to use. I can alter some of the villains I had in mind to work in a new setup.
I also admitly think I took too much under my control. I would like to split up some characters for other people to play with. Not only to take some of the stress off me but also so you guys have more control over the world.
I had some ideas to streamline the battle system that would be better explained later but I got some inspiration from Vagabond for a dice system to streamline taking damage in battle. Characters now have an evasion stat. the higher the number the more times you can roll for a chance to avoid all damage that round.
Lastly the plot overhaul. Iv been inspired by a fan comic I have been reading called Twin Runes. And a few fan games that were shown off in yesterday's Under Event showcase ( A video showing off fan projects for Deltarune and Undertale).
I want to include more Deltarune in this universe. Just alter it to fit Undertale's history.
This would include making the dark world (albeit a bit changed) a part of the storyline. And I would love to be able to use deltarune enemies so I don't have to stress about trying to figure out why we would be fighting any old undertale enemies as the war should already have ended.
In the end, I want your guy's opinion on the matter if you guys even want to continue at all given how much time has passed.

Hello, its-a-me, Vagabond Spectre. Happy Holidays, I'm always glad to hear from you. I'm also sad to hear about your state in the RP. :(

But my answer is always that I'm dowm for a continuation/restart. I wanted to rework more on my OC (Her geberal stats, personality and name) and handle a few NPCs if needed too. All to make the RP more flowing with content.
 
The website does allow for Custom sprites to be added. I just don't have the time to make new ones right now so I used the pre-existing ones.
While I'm here. Does anyone wanna weigh in on how to handle battles efficiently for the rp so we can get them out fast and back to the main rp.

I was thinking of the more traditional dice rolling or coin flips. Whether an attack hits or not, then add/subtract, according to stats. Thats how I operated my character's battle.

In a Ruinedtale scenario, my character just uses her defense and future evasion stats, and hope for the best.
 
I think the main cast so far does not usually commit to violence (At least not as a first option). So we may focus more on if it hits or not. Given that undertale uses high evasion. (Both Sans and Frisk alike especially)
 
tbf in the dark world characters get an HP buff as seen in Deltarune where Kris goes from 20 to 90. But Sans definitely should have a higher-than-normal evasion to make up for HP. But it's worth remembering that it's not GAME OVER until everyone in the party is downed.
 
I think when it comes to battle encounters. 4-6 rounds of total posts should do quickly when it comes to regular battles, (non-main cast enemies/not bosses) although would still depends on the flow of the battle.

Battles in game tend to be more social and cinematic.

But uh getting hit once doesnt just like down Sans he friggin dusts. I mean he gets knocked OUT by fighting too long and wesring himself out.

Lol would hapoen though if he doesnt care about the fight.
 
Do all bios need updated to meet new format or...
If you want to. we can deal with this another time. Its mostly just adding the new dark world info(if you going there anyway) as well as adding the Evasion stat. I mostly just did this since I'm updating Frisk's backstory a bit.

Well Sans as of now isn't even confirmed if he'd HAVE a Dark World form yet so idk it'd be relevant.
 
He did appear in deltarune in the flesh. Or in this case in the bones.
Ye I know but it's not confirmed yet if he will have a Dark World form. Aside from like the warp doors looking eerily like his room door. Lol. I mean, I could MAKE a Dark World form for him but yesh canonly we dont know if he'll have one.
 
The world of fan fiction has its advantages. I had an idea for sans unique hp situation. Instead of loosing hp when failing a coin flip he looses one energy point a stat unique for him. Since it takes about 20 turns to kill him in UT around 20 energy might be fair since he only loses 1 per attack he doesn't win a coin flip on. In universe he just always dodges attacks but on the failed flips or rolls he got a little to close and had to use energy to dodge. Energy can not be recovered by items so he would have to step out the battle to rest, literally just go. well good luck kids later, and just dip. But he can step back in the fight at anytime. There could be other ways to recover energy or armor to give a buff to it later.

Honestly that seems fair, so like he can only fight with them for a set time unless he sleeps for awhile to recover the energy points after. Since he has 20 I am thinking the 20 is what he has for the session so if it runs out he'll need to nap or otherwise recover the points outside of battle (however other ways you want to allow him to recover it). His other stats though would default be at 1 unless he gets any items to raise it. I suppose his evasion stat.would just need to be typed out uniquely that its an auto evade.
