Greetings, fellow adventurers!
I'm looking to create a high-fantasy roleplay set in the mystical land of Valdoreth, a kingdom where the long-forgotten power of Elder Dragons governs over the land. This world is steeped in dark themes, political intrigue, and moral gray areas, where ancient forces battle for control and power. The kingdom’s fate is teetering on the edge, and I seek passionate, creative players to join me in this epic tale.
Valdoreth was once a thriving kingdom ruled by five Elder Dragons, each overseeing one of the primary aspects of society through the Cathedral of the Wyrm. The kingdom has since fractured, and an Elder War rages across the land, each faction fighting to claim supremacy.
The Draconic Conclave of the Nexus is composed of ten powerful Elder Dragons, each leading a faction that reflects the ideals of that prospective Dragon. These factions now fight for control over Valdoreth, with each dragon aiming to reshape the world according to their vision of it.
Plot:
Overview
Once a kingdom of unimaginable prosperity and mystical power, Valdoreth stood as a symbol of balance and unity under the reign of five Elder Dragons. These dragons were not mere creatures of terror; they were revered as divine beings, each associated with a different facet of existence—Wisdom, Strength, Justice, Magic, and Time. The Cathedral of the Wyrm served as the heart of Valdoreth, its towering spires visible across the kingdom, where the faithful gathered to seek counsel and guidance from both the dragons and their mortal followers, the Dragonspeakers. These esteemed bishops were the conduits between the dragons and the people, holding the knowledge and power passed down through the ages.
However, that era of balance and divine unity was shattered by treachery. One fateful event—the Framing of a Dragonspeaker—triggered a chain of events that would plunge Valdoreth into the Elder Wars.
A Dragonspeaker, an honorable and revered figure, was wrongfully accused of a heinous murder—one he did not commit. This act was orchestrated by a rival member of the clergy, who sought to seize more power within the Cathedral of the Wyrm. Driven by ambition and a thirst for influence, the traitor framed the Dragonspeaker to incite chaos, knowing it would divide the faith and weaken the kingdom’s unity.
The accusation sparked an outrage. As the people of Valdoreth grew divided over the truth, the Elder Dragons themselves were dragged into the dispute, each one aligning with different factions of the Church. No one dragon could reconcile with the others, as each represented a different element of the kingdom's foundation, and thus, their loyalty to the Wyrm’s teachings was split. What followed was the Elder Wars, a brutal, centuries-long conflict that ravaged the kingdom and decimated the once-glorious Cathedral of the Wyrm.
The Elder Wars left the land scarred. The once-proud cities of Valdoreth are now ruins, with each faction controlling its own territories, war-torn and perpetually on the brink of collapse. The Cathedral of the Wyrm is in ruins, its spires shattered, and the once-sacred halls now stand as a hollowed monument to the kingdom’s fallen glory. The people are divided, their faith shattered by years of internal strife and betrayal.
The Dragon’s Prophecy
An ancient prophecy was discovered in the dying days of the Elder Wars, revealing that the final battle for the kingdom’s soul will not be fought with blades, but with the restoration or destruction of the Wyrm’s teachings. The Wyrm, it is said, has not fully departed the world and may yet return—either as a force of salvation or damnation.
If you're interested in joining this dark fantasy adventure and want to know more, feel free to message me directly or reply to this post! Let me know your preferred faction and what type of character you'd like to play. I do a good chunk of my RP's on Discord.

Kingdom of Valdoreth – The Ruin of the Wyrm’s Faith
Overview

The Fall of Balance: The Framing and the Betrayal
A Dragonspeaker, an honorable and revered figure, was wrongfully accused of a heinous murder—one he did not commit. The Aftermath of the Elder Wars
Plot Themes:
- Faction Politics & Intrigue: Power struggles, betrayals, shifting alliances, and diplomacy are central to the plot. Players can choose to be part of any faction, with the opportunity to influence its direction, challenge other factions, and vie for power.
- Moral Grayness: Each faction operates under its own set of ideals, and no faction is entirely "good" or "evil." Expect plenty of morally ambiguous choices, political schemes, and dark ambitions.
- Ancient Power: The Elder Dragons are ancient and powerful beings, and their presence is felt throughout the kingdom. They may offer blessings, magic, or perilous quests to those who seek their favor, but not without consequences.
- Personal Growth: Characters will have the opportunity to rise in ranks, develop new abilities, form deep alliances, or experience betrayal and downfall. The fate of Valdoreth is in the hands of those willing to take action.
- Epic Fantasy with Dark Undertones: Expect high fantasy themes mixed with darker, mature elements such as betrayal, political manipulation, war, and conflict.
What I’m Looking For:
- Players Who Love Intrigue: I want players who enjoy creating complex characters with hidden agendas and deep motivations. Whether you want to play a noble warrior, a devious schemer, or a dragon-worshiping fanatic, there’s room for all types.
- Commitment to Immersion: I’m looking for players who are invested in the world and willing to immerse themselves in the lore, factions, and storylines. Regular posting is encouraged.
- Collaboration: I want to create a living, breathing world with the contributions of all players. Your characters' decisions will directly impact the outcome of the story, so creativity and input are highly encouraged.
- Mature Players (18+): Given the darker themes of the RP, I ask that participants are 18 or older.
