Hi!! Formatting this post very casually- looking for a fantasy roleplay! I love worldbuilding and crafting a wider story and detail, but am also open to something more chill, I honestly just want to write- but just know I'm open to expanding story and stuff. However complex you wanna go is up to you!
Mostly just looking to play my oc. He's sort of a subversion of the faery prince trope and I really enjoy him. Most faery princes tend to be problematic and misogynistic which is sad because I like the trope!
I also take from my mixed experience- growing up in the pnw and being filipina. My oc Maia is a faery, yes, but I base him off of filipino mythos and their version of the fae- engkanto- particularly the unseelie sect- dalaketnon in my lore, but imagine the culture was in the pnw. Anyway.
I have no plots in mind. I just want to roleplay my character- and we can make a plot based off of our characters! Maia is bisexual so it doesn't matter what your character's gender is.

Maia is a flexible oc of mine- he has had several iterations of stories. But he has a core that remains- a strange faery prince (called 'datu' culturally), an unwilling hound to the hares, a man of the wood and dead things, beautiful masculinity- full title, Datu Maiasi De-La-Ka Kan.
As a fae, he is a shapeshifter- but typically retains traits of fungi growing from his body, brown skin, a large frame, long black hair- with a preference for fashion with dead things. Furs of animals, bones, even preserved taxidermy. In full magic forms, he may appear as a gryfaun. Typically, he's a bit more humanoid, with several irises and fluffy hair and elongated fingers and sharp teeth, fungi cordycep antlers. Sometimes, he appears simply human- making himself appealing to human gaze, but something is always a bit off. It's most important to note his true body is mycellium- shifting different forms. (In some iterations, he takes over the body of a dryad as mycellium and grows up as a dryad. Might be applicable depending on the plot we choose.)
Personality wise, Maia is an infj. Deeply instrospective, intuitive, quiet with a preference for pattern- at least, a pattern and comfort familiar to him, not humans. He enjoys animals, coming into the human realm to be in the woods, quiet, hunting, crafting. In a strange metaphor, a good way I could describe his personality is that if he was in a modern day school, his uniform would be oversize and unkept, his hair a bit messy, his face blank as he walks into class with twigs in his hair since he was outside doing weird things. He wouldn't get good grades, would hate schoolwork, but is intuitive when it comes to learning and intelligent in a different way. Besides that! Maia, despite his introversion, is not heavily insecure or awkward- if he is awkward, it doesn't come from shyness, but from a lack of typical social awareness. He says what he wants, and does what he wants.
Another particular aspect about him is subtley, trickery, taking everything literally...passive aggression, and extreme, quiet reactions. Very fae- and he is an 'unseelie' one afterall.
