RP Adventures with Devon and Daemon

Devon paced around the living room of his two-bedroom apartment, frantically running pale hands through bright red hair. He'd gotten there an hour before and set up his meager belongings in the smaller of the two rooms, closer to the living room. Now, he was waiting for his new roommate to arrive so they could finish filling out the paperwork and hand it in to the landlady across the hall. What he was really worried about, however, was how he was going to keep his secrets while living in such close quarters with another person...

Daemon tied his wispy, white hair back and walks toward the semi-ajar door. He knocks thrice and pushes the door open. "Hello? Is there anyone else here?" He calls out.

The redhead whips around to face the taller male, red eyes widened slightly. "Oh! Um, hello...!" He tries for a smile, but thinks he may have just ended up looking like he was in pain or something. Looking off to the side, freckled face tinged pink, Devon cleared his throat awkwardly. "Uhh... I'm Devon... You must be... the, uh... the other guy that's moving in... to this... apartment... I'm sorry, I don't believe I caught your name...?" Face no doubt as red as his hair, he glanced at the taller man shyly before turning his gaze back to the floor in front of his feet. Smooth, Dev, he mentally scolded himself. Now he's gonna think you're a complete moron that can't keep things straight... Idiot...

Daemon grinned at the smaller male. "Yes, I am Daemon. We have similar names, in a way." He gently tilts Devon's chin up so he can get a better look at his face. "Red as a cherry." Daemon chuckled softly.

The (gorgeous) white haired man's words only served to make Devon's face even warmer (if that was even possible) and the poor boy stuttered incomprehensibly, not even knowing just what it was he was trying to say. This is so embarrassing...

Daemon let go of his chin and tousled the blushing boy's hair, then went and dragged his suitcase inside. "So, where would my room be, Devon?" He said in an almost teasing voice with a slight smirk.

Swallowing almost convulsively, the redhead turned on his heel and, without a word, walked down the short hallway to the room beside his, closer to the bathroom. Thankfully, the apartment was already furnished with beds and stuff, so they wouldn't have to worry about most of the big furniture yet.

Daemon's steely blue eyes took in the room around him. "It looks nicer in person..." He mutters almost to himself. It looked freshly renovated, however his eyes kept drifting back to the fiery hair belonging to his clearly flustered roomate.

Devon just nodded a bit. After a few (long) seconds of silence, he mumbled something about paperwork and dashed back to the living room to go over the parts he'd already filled out himself. He just needed Daemon to read it over, sign his name in a couple places, pick what he wanted the phone number for the apartment's landline to be, and they'd be all set.

The silver haired man sat on the edge of the bed and twists his hair into a loose braid. He soon gets up to get a drink to quench his thirst, since he walked quite a few blocks to said apartment. "Hmmm... Devon?" Daemon peeks his head out around the corner. "A-are there any g-glasses?" He then mentally cursed himself out for letting his stutter out.

Devon flinched slightly, not having expected the sudden voice. Glasses...? "Oh! Uh, yeah... They're in the cupboard beside the smaller ones over the stove... Do you want me to show you...?" He asked uncertainly, not sure if he'd explained the location properly. His face was turning pink again, but he tried not to notice. If he didn't acknowledge it, then maybe it would go away faster...

Devon nodded a bit and set the papers down on the coffee table as he stood up. As he shuffled awkwardly passed the other, he ducked his head to hide his reddening cheeks. Shaking his head, he reached up and got one of the tall glasses out of the cupboard, handing it to Daemon with a shy smile. "Here you go."

Daemon locks his eyes with Devon's and takes the glass, returning the smile. "Thank you very much." He replies in a smooth as silk voice, keeping his eyes on blushing male's bright eyes.

Blushing deeper, Devon bowed his head and hurried back to the living room, quickly telling Daemon that he could do his part of the forms any time, but preferably by the end of the day. The landlady wanted it handed in by tomorrow afternoon.

Daemon chuckled softly "Anything you say, roomie!" He lets the water run cold, testing with his hand as his mind wanders elsewhere. What is with that guy? Why do I feel such a bond to him? We just met today! Daemon flinches inwardly, getting lost in his mind of tangled thoughts.

Devon flops unceremoniously down on the couch, letting out a sigh. What is wrong with me? He never acted this way around people he just met. He wasn't some blushing schoolgirl! (That term actually made him flinch violently, depressing thoughts and memories swirling like a black hole of horrible feelings inside him.) While he was staring blankly straight ahead, lost in thought, he failed to notice that his hands had started twitching and trembling, hist right knee bouncing up and down nervously as he spiraled further into the depths of his mind.

Daemon hisses, suddenly remember the cold water Ashe suddenly removes his numb hand. He then quickly checks over his shoulder before breathing out some steam onto his frozen hand, while his free hand gets the glass of water for himself.

Devon blinked a few times, slowly pulling himself out of his trance. Now was not the time to get all depressed on the couch! Shaking his head, he stood up, deciding to relocate to his bedroom before he did something stupid... As he stood Devon finally realized that his leg was shaking and bouncing, making the redhead frown slightly as he quickly made his way passed the kitchen door and to his own room, closing the door behind him. Did the meds wear off already...? He knew the medication wasn't perfect, and didn't always work 100%, but it had worked well for him for the last few months, since he'd been put on it...

Daemon noticed Devon walk by and decided to follow after him, while silently sipping water. "Are you okay there? You look like somebody died."

Devon jumped a bit, the twitching in his hands getting steadily more frequent, leg back to bouncing now that he'd sat himself on the edge of the bed. "What? ... Y-yeah... I'm... I'm fine... Heh heh..." His head jerked to the side, tilting at an odd angle before going back to its original, less awkward position.

Daemon frowns slightly and holds the glass close to Devon. "Drink this. Maybe it will help you? You seem t-to be sort of...jumpy?" He tilted his head to left, face clearly showing concern and slightly alarmed.

Shrugging a bit, he shook his head, the motion being interrupted by another weird-angled-nod-type-thing. "No thanks... I just..." His shoulder jerked up and smacked into his ear, making the redhead wince slightly. "... It's n-nothing..."

Daemon sets the water down and sits next to Devon and cautiously sets his hand on Devon's shoulder. "This isn't nothing, Devon..."
