Royal Aggression [Closed]

Zek blinked at first then when the comment of his small size was made he sharpened his eyes but it was a halfhearted glare. "As touching as the thought is I was thinking we could savatage supplies to the enemy. I'm small as you pointed out and i can slip in unnoticed... it would cripple them and strengthen us but your backup plan is a good one to have," the prince said "I will do the savatage I'm the only person who has so far done nothing it's high time I earn my birthrite,"

Leo could hear his heart beating in his ears and he couldn't stop himself from reaching forward and grabbing the prince's wrist. "With all due respect, sir, I don't believe you're ready for that. What if you get caught? How will you escape?" Leo exclaimed, speaking with urgency in his tone. He knew it sounded like he didn't want to lose the prince so soon, which was actually exactly what was happening, so he decided to hastily add a reason for his disagreement. "I'm not ready for the crown, you made that clear yourself!" He wrenched his hand away from the prince's wrist, realizing he may have crossed a line, and stood up to run a hand through his wet hair in worry. Things were moving far too fast for Leo, who enjoyed the snail-like pace his mind and whole being needed to run on when the kingdom was still theirs.

Zek looked at Leo "I am offended you think I would be captured by a suply caravan what do you think I am a child?" he asked looking at Leo "I have done nothing for my people it's high time I do something before I go mad," he crossed his arms. "as for leading you are too like my father to not be ready,"

Compliments were always the way to hit Leo's soft spot and he smiled inwardly. He was going to ask the prince if he really thought that he was like his father but more pressing matters pushed that down. "Well... I'm coming with you anyway. Just in case." Leo said. He kneeled back down and smiled at the prince, pain in his dark brown eyes. "I don't doubt you Zek it's just... what if you got hurt? I would blame it on myself." Of course from the prince he wasn't expecting a sympathetic answer but Leo tried his best to clear things up anyway.

"I am not afraid of pain, I am not afraisd of death either. Our enemies are. We cut suplies and risk only a my life then it is a win all around, they will weaken we will benifit," Zek sighed "I used to escape the palace and not once did I cry when I got hurt on the street's I broke my arm one of the gaurds had thought I was a theif... as you see I have m ore experiance then you think," he looked at Leo "and yes you are like my father,"

Leo smiled at the prince, admiring how proud and sure of something he could be. He was stubborn, but in a good way and not about the wrong things. Leo stood up and chucked his over-sized leaf into the river, watching it float downstream he sighed. "How do you want to do this? I'll bet you have a really cool plan." Leo could see it in his head already. The announcements, the sneaking around, the daring escape, a suicide mission perhaps to spice things up?

"You are overdramatizing this situation," Zek said with a small laugh. "We set a blockade and when they go to move it we steal and run," he shrugged "it's not a very noble thing to do but it will be a job very much needed. In case of my capture I forbid you to rescue me, the people are your first priority if you are captured I will not turn back either," Zek knew he would but he'd rather not let Leo know that.

Leo's brain practically yelled at every corner of his body to completely disregard the last thing that the prince had said. Even though it would be disobeying someone of a higher office than him, Leo just couldn't do half of what the prince was asking of him. He decided to nod out of respect and agreement anyway and considered crossing his fingers behind his back. "I'm sure your subjects will find it very noble, prince." Leo said kindly, smiling. "Do you want to let them know or should we not stir up any worry?"

"We wont tell them they may try to help and put themselves and us in harms way," Zek said he was glad Leo understood his order and didn't try to fight. "The next caravan... will come through either tonight or tomorow they'll want to avoid the heat produced storms," he said as he thought. "the suplies will be non parashable foods and equipment for protection both of which we need in abundance,"

"So we train now." Leo said, giving the prince a playful smirk. He wanted to have some training of his own and thought that the prince didn't need training from Leo of all people. He walked down the edge of the river and collected their clothing, holding out everything but his own shirt to Zek when he got back to him. "As handsome as you are, I think you'll be more comfortable with these on." As soon as the words left his mouth Leo thought he would need to regret it but laughed softly anyway.

Zek flushed and quickly dressed "handsome is a word used for men who don't look better in dresses then breeches," Zek mumbled taking care to get his wings safely through his shirt. "Ok since the swimming wasnt training what is?" he asked Leo turning to look at him. Zek had hoped Leo would forget this training business but he knew he needed it.

Leo pulled his shirt on as he thought. "Well, whatever people do when they sneak around. You have wings though, you hardly need it." He looked around desperately for something to talk about or something to do but he could find nothing. "I guess whatever you feel like doing goes."

"Just because i have wings is not why I am sneeky, in fact they get in the way," Zek said spreading them out he had a wingspan of at least 18ft when he spread them all the way. "Hiding these is not easy and they are useless and heavy when wet," he folded them back in and adjusted them lightly. "they are also really heavy when wet," he muttered to himself.

Leo looked at Zek's wings, amazed by how large they were. He certainly wasn't expecting it and nodded slowly. "I see. Well...no offense, my prince, but you're short. You can sneak past them that way anyway. If you think you need help in one specific area then let me know now." Compared to Zek, Leo could be considered very strong. Compared to any other full grown male out there he was probably not the kind of guy you wanted in the front lines of battle. Nonetheless, he would do his best to help the prince.

"I will grow," Zek said defencivly though he didn't think he was short for a young boy five foot six was a good height. His father was pushing six foot three so Zek was sure to hit a growth spert eventually. "I am good at hiding and sneeking because I do it often spend time in court you'll see what i ment," he straightened his clothes out. Zek's frame however he'd prolly never fill out he was just too small framed by nature.

Leo smiled down at the prince and ruffled his hair, entertained by how defensive the prince could get. He was heading towards one of the trees, where there was shade so he could sit down. Ever since he was a kid Leo had trouble with keeping his head cool and the sun brought headaches. He plopped down in the grass and squinted his eyes against the sun as he looked at prince Zek. "I think I'm going to nap while we wait for the sun to go down in that case. You should do the same." He shouted across the clearing and propped his back on the tree, leaning his head back and closing his eyes.

Zek sighed and laid in the sun on his stomach his wings partialy spread to dry and his head on his arms. "Even i can do this training," he mumbled to himself. The prince loved the sun though he never could get a tan,

Leo laughed in his spot. "I heard that! The art of taking a nap is something you need to master." Leo shifted a little and decided to lay down on his back, the grass was cool and it felt like he was back in the river again. He wanted, honestly, to just lay there and do nothing. Not have any raids or soon-to-be princely duties to worry about. Just lay there and do all the work. He decided to cherish this until Zek and he had to leave.

"the art of napping... goddess no wonder father liked you," he chuckled "such silly ways of thinking." Zek was a minor insomniac so he was unable to nap but the relaxing in the sun was nice. He was worried about the raid though he'd never show it.

Leo slowed his breathing and took his time to relax each muscle. He fell asleep on his arm and awoke a couple of hours later after a numbness in his shoulder shocked him awake. He groaned in pain and laid down on his back, rubbing his eyes. Just five more minutes. The king wouldn't mind, they didn't have much to do today. Last he remembered when he was awake was that he and the prince had a raid to do later on. Nothing too big...right?

Leo sat up with a start and looked around. He was disoriented until his eyes rested on the prince. The sun was going down above the trees and the sky was a pinkish-orange color. He took a moment to admire it and rememer everything that had happened before crawling to the prince. "Morning." He said to the prince, who was awake.

Zek had whatched Leo sleep and kept watching him wondering how he could sleep like that. When Leo awoke the Prince casually looked to the settling sun. "Morning indeed," he commented, your art of sleeping looks more like you are playing dead," Zek commented teasingly; as he sat up his wings drapped around him instead of folding in like they normaly did.

Leo's deep yawn was broken by a laugh and he rubbed his eyes sleepily. "That's how you know you're doing it right." He replied and blinked a couple of times, admiring Zek's profile and then the sunset. Playing dead, Leo thought, I don't look dead when I sleep. Do I? Wait a second. He looked at his prince and smirked. "You watched me sleep? Creepy."

Zek was looking at the sun "I had to make sure you were breathing," he said softly there was a bit of a teasing note in his voice as light as it was. "The sun setting is a beautiful sight however i beleive we must be on our way," he said with seriousness in his voice and eyes. "I will make them wish they had not crossed me," he promised more to himself then anyone.

Leo grinned foolishly and patted the prince's back. "That's the spirit!" He said a little too loudly. He placed his hands on his knees stood up with a humph, stretching more this time. As he twisted from side to side he sighed and looked around. "Lead the way, Zek." It was still surprising how he could throw around the prince's nickname so easily and not get scolded...or worse.

Zek folded his wings tight to his back and he nodded. "it may be best if we speak quietly." he said to Leo before leading the way to the roads. Zek was nervious very nervious if it was a large caravan there would be more problems and he would not want to risk Leo or himself so recklessly.
