Fantasy Rosewind Tavern (A walk in Roleplay, All welcome)

Shiki had already chopped off a head when Shozu came and gave some good hurting iron punches to the clone- monster thing
“Heh, Thanks!” He then stabbed a clone monster that was about to attack his companion in the face “Got your back too!”

Temota had already taken down some clones when the noise of a brawl, like the ones at a bar made her stop in her tracks. She then saw Aus struggling in his fight. With a sigh, Temota shot an arrow to the creature’s head followed by two on the neck. After making sure it was dead, she turned to Aus with both an annoyed and worried expression.

“You okay right? Learn to swing that thing around properly. It’ll do you good”

Arrow shouted a word of thanks to Ardyn and elbowed the thing behind him in the face. "Against a wall! Someone get on the stairs and lure them that way!" When Aus was sent flying across the room, Arrow sighed internally and hopped onto a table, running over to assist. He avoided a strike and picked up the sword, placing himself between the monsters and Aus and yanking him up. "Be more careful!" he chided. "You could have gotten killed." Based on the creatures' attack patterns, they must have been in a class similar to undead- claw, claw, bite, with no seeming strategy. Undead were easy because they were stupid. "Any guesses on intelligence level?" he shouted to the room at large, recalling his knife and waving Aus's sword. "Oi, healer girl, you got turn undead? Check if it works!"

"Wow, you ARE the oldest!!" Shozu exclaimed as he perked at Arrow's retort, unable to stop himself from turning his head to him in surprise mid-punch. In the midst of his incredulous glance toward the older man, his gaze fell on the battered Aus as he skidded to a hault from the blow he'd received. Shozu's heart dropped into the pit of his stomach-- he should have been paying attention to those in greater danger!! Stupid!

Any sense of fun or excitement drained from his face as panic for the boy's safety set in. The others had rushed forward to help, but the density of the monsters in their area worried him. Without thinking he grabbed a nearby tavern chair and let out a gruff snarl as he threw it with all his might toward one of the creatures stalking Aus. The seat creaked at the sudden movement and zipped across the establishment with breakneck speed, then meeting its mark on the other end. It splintered and fell to pieces at the force upon impact with the monster.

In his concern for the younger man, he neglected to keep his eyes on the immediate threat to himself and paid the price. The creature took an unexpected swipe and its claws bit into the flesh of his arm, leaving three thick gashes in his skin. He let out a pained hiss as the blood rolled down in red streams, but he stood his ground and used his uninjured arm to send a skull-crushing blow to the creature's head in retaliation. His new comrades wouldn't die here if he had any say over it. Whether by adrenaline, experience with battle, or otherwise, Shozu didn't falter or lose his grip from his freshly begotten wound-- but judging from his turn of expression, playtime was over.

((loool, I started working on this without realizing you guys already reacted to Aus falling rip. Just tweaked it a bit to post it anyway))

"I told you, didn't I?" Arrow laughed. "I'm forty-six! It's thirty years December after next!" He took advantage of a lull in his corner to test the weight of the sword, then switched it to his main hand and dug out a dagger. *Okay, I'm a short sword specialist, but longswords are slashing weapons. Heavy blows. Not quick, pointed strikes.* He took a test swing at a clone nearby, somehow impaled it, and stabbed it in the head, causing it to drop to the floor. He yanked Aus's sword out and grinned. "Nice!"

Shiki looked over to Arrow in surprise "That's..Still young to me..I think Miss Lily is the oldest, cause..You know, elves" He slashed a clone in half followed by a backward slash, slashing the clone behind him. Heeding to Arrow’s former instruction, he went to the stairs and waved.

“Heyo!! Over here! Come get some” He grinned and slashed through the clones that came for him.

He huffed. "Yeah, yeah, didn't take that into account. Still! Let me have my moment." Arrow nearly pouted, pulling the same trick on another clone with care. "Haha! Another, struck down by my hand!" He was actually sparkling while he smirked. "Goes to show how awesome I am!"

Temota facepalmed. This was a fight to the death and they acted like it was a game. With a roll of her eyes, she then focused on shooting the clones that were about to bite or claw her new companions. A movement nearby caught her eye and she moved. Too late, she now had a claw mark on her shoulder. Before the clone could do anything else, a familiar sword impaled it in the face. Temota looked over to her twin, who grinned at her and continued slashing through with another sword. Pulling out the weapon off the clone’s head, she offered it to Aus.

“Use this for a while” She then proceeded to shoot four arrows, with each one going for the clones next to her allies. She was going to run out soon, and until then, she should be useful.

"You guys make me feel young!" Shozu snorted, as he continued to shred his way through the onslaught of enemies... That is, until Arrow's bout of self-praise reached his ears. He smirked, a little amused at the older man's excitement as he muttered a soft "Never mind" under his breath. Usually he was the enthusiastic one, he couldn't help but find the other's comment strangely... Adorable? Perhaps that's the wrong word.

He cast a glance toward Temota just as the claw caught her shoulder. His concern was heightened, but she seemed like the type who could hold her own-- and would prefer it that way. Instead of rushing over and abandoning his space, he continued to keep the monsters in his area at bay. "You okay?" he shouted to her, just in case he had read her wrong.

He blew some hair out of his face and huffed. "You're no fun, Miku," he called, remarking on her being annoyed at his gloating. "Live a little! And, seriously, big guy, learn to live a little. I'm still in the prime of my life! Only the good die young! So I've got a good hundred thousand years!" Arrow laughed, leaping over a table with agility virtually impossible for a human and impaling another one in the head. He yanked the sword out. "Ugh, they still get stuck... why am I using a longsword, again? Why not! Wait, what am I supposed to be doing, again?" He zoned out for a few moments, before a clone attacking him made him snap out of his trance. "Oh! Yeah!" He laughed once more and elbowed it in the face.

Temota nodded at Shozu's concern. A claw mark wasn't going to stop her. Her eyes narrowed at the nickname. Miku? Seriously? Another arrow at a clone's head. The brunnete looked over at her quiver. Dang it. Only ten arrows left. She never though she was going to shoot anything when they arrived. Guess she was wrong. Clicking her tongue, Temota sprung foward with impressive, arrow in hand and begun to stab clones, and pick up already used arrows.

Shiki did an impressive jump-slash, splitting two clones at the same time "Did you guys see that?" His smile then turned into one of pain as one of those goddamn clones bit his arm. He stabbed the clone in the face and pushed it off him, before inspecting the wound. Not too deep, but damn, what were those teeth made of? He then noticed his twin right beside him, with an angry but concerned look on her face. No words were spoken as she put some herbs on Shiki's wound making him hiss. Soon, she was done and bandaged his arm with one hand and somehow stabbed clones with the other one, without getting injured, before she took one of Shiki's knives and begun fighting once again

He looked over and nearly facepalmed. "For real? An arrow- okay. Okay." He groaned. "You are, quite possibly, the luckiest person I have ever met- and I have known some lucky people." Arrow finished clearing the area around him, then stalked back over to Aus and dropped his sword on the ground. "You might want this back. I'm not going to scorn you for not being able to keep your head, that's just hypocritical. But I think you're going to need to develop the skill." He grinned. "Don't worry, we all do, eventually!"

---Aus-------
When he came to himself, he felt the world spin relentlessly, and all he could hear was a sharp shrill noise. Aus's hand gripped on a chair as he staggered to stand, but he was brought to his knees and hands as it toppled down. He hadn't felt this bad since he first snuck out to drink. It was a despicable feeling. As he licked his lips, a searing pain woke him up. His hands reached for his side only to find his sword missing. It was then that he heard the sound of metal clattering against the floor. He looked up and saw the knife twirler who had some gotten his blade. The smirk that he wore made his brow crease.

"He just... got... a lucky blow... was all," he spoke in between breaths.

Using the sword as a cane, he pushed himself back on his feet. Somehow he had ended up in the middle of the formation. He saw that the creature's numbers had dwindled, but he also saw that it was not only himself who had suffered a blow. Regaining his posture, he took a deep breath. His sword aimed towards the back of one foe. His muscles tensed as he leaned forward, then all at once, he charged.

"Die, fishmonger!"

It didn't take long for Lily to jump to her feet, staff in hand. She quickly used it to push back a few around them. "I am a healer" She told the group. "Where am I needed?" She looked around for any injured, but it was difficult. As they killed each of the beings, two more seemed to spring up in their place. "We need to find the real one!" She called out. Suddenly realizing the dangers they were in. Shifting from her left to her right, she moved with precision. It was clear that even though she was a healer, she was well trained in combat. From her fighting style its clear to see she served in the Kings Army at least for a time.

Seeing Aus struggling to his feet, she quickly moved over. Her hand was glowing green as she put it on his shoulder. "Are you alright?" She asked allowing her magic to flow into him and strengthen him. He would require more rest after, but it would stave off anything. Once he charged, she stepped out of his way.

"Hmm, how sad. This is who you chose?" The Woman asked, raising an eyebrow. Neither had bothered to jump in or help. "I thought we wanted to win?" She asked him.
"Patience, I have faith in my choosings. They will figure this out. Eventually" The man replied. Both of them were now sitting and floating above the bar counter. Just watching the battle. Every once and awhile a being would try to attack them. Only for it to disappear, no other re appearing. Perhaps there was a hint into how they were killing them?

Heat entered through his shoulders and flowed through the rest of his body. He was flabbergasted. He looked to the side and saw Lilith. He didn't quite understand what was going on, but he felt strength returning to his limbs. He nodded, "Thanks Lilliana," before dashing forward.

In a rush of adrenaline, his thrust led his blade to sink further than anticipated. The creature turned his way, and he was pulled forward until he could feel it's breath. He released his grip and slid with his knees. A second later, its jaws snapped where his face was. His face soured. Now behind the thing, he twisted and kicked it to the floor. He pulled his sword from its back and began stabbing its torso.

"Hey, can someone tell me what these things are."

Lillian Moonstone
Healer/Ex Noble

Gratefully she sat down. She had been travelling for days, and was exhausted. Yet, it was worth the gold. "Hi Auz, or Austin. My name is Lillian. However most just call me Miss Lily" She told him politely. She looked around to see who else was here, not many. Though she saw the glint of the moving knife and was impressed. She hadn't had to use combat skills in years, but she had learned in her time in the army as a healer. All military members were forced to learn combat. For their safety.

"I usually work in the Capital city, running a small little healers hut." She told him. "How about yourself?" She asked trying to be friendly. She always tried to be friendly to those around her. After all, it took just as much effort to be friendly, as to be rude. "I haven't been travelling in a long time." She laughed a little. "What brings you to this little town? If you don't mind me asking" She added.

[sorry so short guys will get longer as we go. Promise.]

The Story So Far
Chapter 1: The Journey Begins

You arrive at the Rosewind Tavern, if you have accepted the letter. Once there, a bar maid serves you any food or beverage you would like. The bar seems relatively quiet, though a few drunks sit in the corner gambling. The bar maid seems to be one of two employees on. The other looks like the Tavern owner. Both are of elven decent, though its hard to see through their hair.

They had opened this tavern centuries ago. So it was well known who they were to the locals. Normally the mostly human village didn't like outsiders. Especially elves. But these two had just kept to themselves, and created a tavern for the town and the surrounding area could relax. They were strong enough too, to throw out any riff raff that came along. So it was a nice, peaceful place.

As you look around, you see a solid wooden stair case leading to what is obviously rentable rooms upstairs. The loft hanging above the bar. The bard is playing light and quiet music in the corner. Not wanting to disturb the few guests. It is clear he is a novice, but he can carry a note. So many didn't mind him. You notice at the bar they have any of the top shelf spirits you wish, and the barrels of mead and ale seem plentiful. The fire place is roaring on the far side wall. Crackling, keeping the place a nice toasty warm. It was very inviting.

Chapter 2: A Shift Happens

The door of the Inn opens and in comes a cloaked man. It seems to have started storming outside, and he was drenched. Still he didn't show his face, but sat down in the dark corner and watched from under his hood. It seems like he is known to the Inn as they bring him a drink and set it in front of him. No order needed. However an aura comes from the cloak, that hints at something far different than a simple traveller. Perhaps this is the man that hired you?

The wind starts to pick up outside, making the windows shake a little. It was clearly too stormy to leave, and all would have to rent a room, or sleep in the stables. Something about this feels off, eerie. As if the weather isn't natural but a sign of whats to come. Lightning slashes through the sky, illuminating dark figures out in the streets. Until they disappeared, as if they were just figments of the imagination. Maybe there is more to this quest than you thought.

All the while, the tavern owner and the waitress kept working. Not at all disturbed by the rather abrupt weather change. Those with magic can now sense that the inn is shifting somewhere else. Its a small pocket dimension. Just to exist with the inn and town in it alone. Though the people who are citizens of the town have disappeared. Leaving only our hero's, the bartenders and the man in the cloak. The windows start to black out, and they were locked inside the Inn.

Her journey had been dull, by the standards her previous travels had set, though she had taken pleasure in the simple scenery. There was something peaceful about the unhindered forward motion. A simple potion had relieved of the burden of "thinking too much" while enroute. Now that she had "officially arrived", however, all she could do was think. Who would have written her? Who was in need? How would she know it was them? What if this was a trap? Damn her persistent curiosity. Crossing the threshold she was distracted, briefly, by the many choices of drink. Quickly, she shook of the notion. No, couldn't have another night like the last time...or the uncounted times before that. Air of casualty, she carefully selected a wall to lean upon. She wanted to take all in while having herself taken in as little as possible. Not being noticed wasn't her specialty, but she been working hard at it and was improving. Observation, on the other hand, suited her nicely - easily. As the weather and company shifted she noticed a lot she was anxious to share with someone. That wasn't there, and maybe was no one...as she struggled to reel her mind back to where it belonged the lights went out...and so out came both blades...she felt...disgustingly foolish and childishly excited.

//I think she hopped back to the beginning. Skimmed through the middle while doing some character exposition. Then finaly reacting to the current event. M Mellsplosion It might be a good Idea to split that into one paragraph per scene.

Aus fell down on his but. The pandemonium finally eased and he felt he could cut some slack. He did his part, or at the very least did the motions, therefore he cannot be blamed for doing nothing. "This guys are a crazy bunch," he whispered, drifting his gaze towards the blood thirsty party. He has been robbed and received an invitation from that same person. It is said that revenge is sweet, but the draft of blood tickling his nose says otherwise. He had been impulsive and he regrets this.

While the guys were relatively occupied with what remains with the rest of the rubles, he caught the smirking face of the bar keeper and that maid by his side. Shivers went through his spine. So he stood up, picked his blade, glanced toward his backpack at the far corner with an ugly face, and left towards the exit. He glanced back one final time before gently nudging the door, but felt that it was heavy. He applied more pressure, but it didn't budge. He started slamming at it, then hammered with his hilt but it did nothing more than cause a loud sound.

He turned back with fear written over his face, "Guys we're locked up!"
