His life used to be all about doing everything for himself, but now he knows that he has a child that needs him more than he needs himself. He no longer needs to be selfish, though he's still coming to terms with the fact that the world does not, in fact, revolve around himself.
    
    He's since cut down on the amount of drinking and partying that he was previously known for. All of those one night stands? Completely gone from his mind. Now, whether you buy into it or not, Owen Manning is genuinely trying.     Growing up without a father explains everything that you need to know about Owen. Jack Manning wanted nothing to do with Kristen Cooper after she told him that she was carrying his child. Jack had too much pride to possibly settle down with a one night stand and take responsibility for a child born out of wedlock. This left Kristen in a bad place. When Kristen's father, Victor, found out that his unmarried college-aged daughter was pregnant, he was absolutely livid. No daughter of his was going to shame the good Cooper name. Victor had worked hard to make a name out of himself, and he wasn't going to let Kristen ruin it.
    
    Now, you might be wondering...where is Kristen's mother in all of this? The former Theresa Davis was diagnosed, seemingly out of the blue, with a rare case of ovarian cancer, three years earlier at the age of 39. And although she had fought it valiantly, she succumbed to it after battling it for nineteen months. So perhaps her death also contributed to Victor's shunning of Kristen. Either way, Victor was furious, and there was no changing his mind about this. He swiftly kicked her out of the house, leaving her to essentially fend for herself.
    
    But not all hope was lost. Kristen had one last contact - that of her mother's older sister, Martha. Martha was recently divorced, had no children of her own, and had just moved to a small beach town in Florida. One long-distance call from Arizona to Florida later, and Kristen was on a flight headed to the Gulf Coast.
    
    Owen Patrick Manning was born the next April, and a normal childhood was had. But once Owen graduated high school, Kristen was gone, off to make her own destiny. She had done the hard part by raising him, now her future was hers to make. Owen was devastated - even more so when his beloved great aunt Martha passed away in her sleep. This left him to make the ultimate worst decisions of his life, including cheating on the mother of his child with her best friend and refusing to claim his child when confronted with a pregnancy. This brings him to today, where, after devoting himself to being better, he has started to become a proud father to a baby girl, Cora. Co-parenting may not be the smoothest ride, but he's determined to be the best possible dad.

    Maternal instincts and great cooking skills are two of the most prominent traits that Magnolia Kingston has mastered over the past year or so. A gentler soul than hers is hard to find in Rosemary Beach, but Nollie, as she prefers to be called, sees through all the bad attitudes and drama-filled lives that they tend to lead. It doesn't matter how harsh her early life had been - Nollie pushes on as if nothing had ever happened. When everything around her is thunder and rain, somehow, Nollie finds a way to shine through like a beam of light, lighting up the dark clouds.
    
    She's a people person, if you haven't already guessed by now. Nollie strives to make a friend out of every stranger she meets, and, quite honestly, has made a pretty decent success rate over the years. An extrovert at heart, her bubbly and outgoing personality is hard to ignore, especially when she's as nice as she is. She's not one to step on any toes, or get into any conflict intentionally, but even then, she'd never throw a punch or hurl an insult anyone's way (unless it pertains to her boys, but more on that later).
    
    Most importantly, she's a mother. She cares about all children, even those who don't belong to her - it's why she opened the daycare in the first place. Her son, Damon, means the world to her. Her husband, Carter, means just as much. Family is her number one priority, and she's thinking about expanding her family in the future. She's a big mama bear - mess with her Kingston boys, and you'll really see the beast come out. But other than that, she's a kind, generous soul with no thoughts of hurting anyone.     Emerson Hunter and Cassandra Young were high school sweethearts. He was the star quarterback for the football team, and she was cheer captain. Emerson could have gone on to bigger and better things, as he was being scouted by the top colleges in the nation - Florida State, Oklahoma, and Tennessee had all sent scouts to watch him play, and he was going to commit to one of those schools. But when Cassandra found out that she was expecting a child during the middle of their senior year of high school, all those hopes went right out the window. Emerson buckled down, graduated, and joined the army right out of high school, eloping with Cassandra the day before he left for deployment.
    
    Cassandra, of course, still graduated, but Emerson wanted her to be a stay-at-home mom. He wanted to be the sole breadwinner for their small family. And, when she gave birth to a healthy baby girl in July, everything seemed like it was going to be alright. But when the War on Terror began, Emerson was killed when his plane was shot down. When news of his death reached Cassandra, she lost it. She was determined to keep her little girl safe - and she was going to do everything in her power to make sure of that.
    
    Cassandra shut herself in, refusing to go out and face the world without her beloved husband by her side. She became a recluse, and by extension, her baby which Emerson had named Magnolia, like the flower.
    
    Magnolia was homeschooled as soon as she was old enough to go to school. Cassandra didn't want her daughter to go out and face that cold, cruel world that had taken her husband and her daughter's father away from them. Nobody came to check on them, because frankly, no one cared.
    
    That's how it came to be. Rumors about the Hunter mother and daughter spread around town like wildfire. And if they knew what was being said about them, they would have denied it tooth and nail because none of it was true in the slightest. Magnolia graduated a year early, but she still stuck by her mother's side because it was all she knew. Oh, she was book-smart, but she didn't have a lick of common sense in that thick head of hers. Well, three years passed, and so did Cassandra, from breast cancer, of all things. Her mother had had it, her great aunt had had it - and they had all survived because they had caught it early. With Cassandra being a recluse, however, it wasn't possible. By the time Magnolia convinced her mother to go to the doctor, it had metastasized to both lungs. Even with all the different treatments they tried, it just wasn't enough. Cassandra slipped away from this mortal realm into the next, leaving Magnolia truly alone in this world.
    
    Magnolia was devastated. But it was out of this grief that she met Carter Kingston and his young son, Damon. They quickly struck up a friendship, and that friendship slowly evolved into more. They married nearly a year ago. And, with the support of Carter and the financial aid from Gretchen Wilder, Magnolia was able to open her own daycare at the beginning of the year. She takes all children from ages six weeks to seventeen years of age, offering educational lesson plans, homework help, and free meals for the children. Nollie's Daycare is just another one of her pride and joys, and with the way the citizens of Rosemary Beach keep churning out kids, she'll be in business for a long time.

    Being a Haven child, Gabriel is expected to bring pride and respect to the family name. But somehow, every time he tries to make his father proud, he always comes up short. Still, he remains ever-so-loyal to his father, even if it comes at the expense of the happiness of his two sisters. He's consistently caught between right and wrong, between following in his father's footsteps and following his heart. He knows that his father is full of corruption and will never change his ways, but Gabriel jsut wants to hear those five words -- "I'm proud of you, son."
    
    Those words will probably never be uttered by Richard Haven, and everyone knows that. But Gabriel continues to foolishly hold out hope, even after he's been told time and time again that his father will never accept him for anything that he's already done or will ever do.
    
    Furthermore, Gabriel has been metaphorically poisoned by his father into believing that he cannot trust anyone but his family. This has led him to become closed-off, bottling everything inside. He has a strained relationship with his sisters, however. It is incredibly noticeable when it comes down to Sienna - from the time that they were growing up, barely a year apart, they never saw eye to eye. They often clash over their father, with Gabriel staying fiercely devoted to Richard and Sienna doing the exact opposite. Their younger sister, Claire, is also involved in the family politics. Claire is their father's favorite child, being the youngest. This just adds to the chaos in the inner workings of the Haven family.
    
    So yeah, Gabriel is a bit of a mess. But once you understand the dark nature of his family, you can start to understand why he is who he is.

    To understand where Gabriel Haven comes from, we must first discuss his father, Richard. Richard Augustine Haven was born on a humid June afternoon to Augustine and Rebecca Haven fifty-eight years ago. The only son out of a family of daughters, Richard was brought up tough and mean. Augustine was hard on his son, forcing him into a cushy law career as soon as he was able to. But when Augustine succumbed to a fatal heart attack at the age of fifty-two, Richard was finally free to do whatever he wanted to do. He began boozing and schmoozing with the wrong people, growing a vast empire even with dangerous creatures clawing at his back. But when his first wife, Nina, stabbed him in the back (quite literally), he knew that he had to get the hell out of Dodge, and quick.So he relocated to the middle of nowhere - Whitegrove, Connecticut, population 2035. From there, he was able to continue to expand his criminal enterprises under the guise of a law firm. It's where he met his second wife, the foreign Anastasia Rossi. But they weren't meant to last - Anastasia got pregnant, and since having a child out of wedlock was immoral, they quickly married. But a complicated pregnancy led to a stillbirth, which made the tensions between Anastasia and Richard even worse. He filed for divorce, but with the proceedings taking quite a while, it wasn't long before they reconciled. That reconciliation resulted in the birth of a healthy baby boy, Gabriel Matthew Haven.
    
    Gabriel was soon joined by two sisters, one after the other. Sienna and Claire were doted on by their mother, but Richard was cold towards them. He chalked it up to always being at work, but in all actuality, he wanted more boys. Girls couldn't pass on the Haven name, but boys could. This (rightfully) pissed Anastasia off, and rightfully so. She filed for divorce. But that didn't last long, and they were back in "love" in the blink of an eye. But no more children would be conceived, at least on Anastasia's end. Who knows, Richard might have other children out there...
    
    But back to Gabriel - the focus of this history. He was sent to the finest boarding schools and groomed to be the heir to the Haven throne once he came of age. Gabriel followed in his father's footsteps and became a lawyer, but he morally couldn't go through with the shady side of the business. This disappointed Richard immensely. He knew that he couldn't pass the torch to Sienna or Claire - what good did women do in this line of work? Gabriel did get hired to the firm after passing the bar, but he knows that his father might not be letting him take control once he's ready to retire.
    
    The kicker is that Richard could have been killed in an instant, had Gabriel not intervened. Imagine that. One of their former "clients" was furious that the Havens were no longer doing business with him, and decided to try and get some form of compensation...by holding Claire for ransom. Richard went in, guns ablaze, but when he saw Claire held at gunpoint, an uncomfortable standoff took place. Gabriel had been instructed not to go in, but he couldn't just stay put. So, he snuck in, getting a good angle of the situation.
    
    He locked eyes with his father, and both of them knew what had to be done. Gabriel aimed his gun at the criminal, shooting him directly in the back of the head, mortally wounding him. At the same time, Richard took care of the other accomplices, leaving only Haven blood still standing. Anastasia finally divorced Richard after that. It wasn't safe for her to be around him anymore. And Richard knew that he had to put his children in a safer place. So Rosemary Beach was the next place.
    
    The Haven law firm was reopened in Rosemary Beach once they settled down. Gabriel took the position as second-in-command, Richard being the only person with superiority over him. Richard also hired an assistant for Gabriel...which would soon lead to a drunken one night stand between him and Amelia Summers. Amelia, in turn, got pregnant. This was all revealed over Thanksgiving dinner last year. Amelia left town, and Gabriel put it out of his mind - until now, when rumors of Amelia's return have begun to surface. Is she really back? Did she have the child? Only time will tell.

    What is there to say about Cole Edison that hasn't already been said? Most people know him as that big ol' loveable goof, wrapping everyone he loves in the biggest bear hugs and lopsided grins. Some people know him as the college freshman who studies hard and strives to be the best student he possibly can be. And others? Well, they just think he's an airheaded, childish fool. But what we do know is that Cole's got a big heart and a chosen family.
    
    So it goes without saying that Cole is well-liked within the Rosemary Beach community. He has few enemies, if any, but if anyone even remotely looks at someone he loves in a negative light, then all bets are off. You simply do not mess with his adoptive mother, or long-time boyfriend, because he loves hard.
    
    He doesn't really get some stuff, if that makes any sense? Common sense for Cole went right out of the window when his dad began dragging him from town to town. Book-smarts are something that he's just now learning as a late bloomer, at least in the collegiate sense of the phrase.
    
    Cole plays guitar sometimes. He's got a good voice, too, but he doesn't want to be a musician like that. He doesn't want to turn into an alien (yes, he believes that pop stars and the like are all aliens). He can sometimes cross unspoken boundaries accidentally, but he's getting better at it. Surely with a good tutor/boyfriend wink wink by his side, he'll learn to get rid of that behavior. Only time will tell.
    
    So yeah, that's Cole for you. Take him, leave him, or ignore him completely, but he's not leaving. Rosemary Beach is his forever home now.

    It has been said time and time again that once a cheater, always a cheater. That may not be the case for some, but it's the cold, hard truth when it comes down to Garrett Spencer. When his then-girlfriend, Helena Brady, revealed that she was pregnant with his child, the first thing that he did was jump into bed with another woman...then another...and yet another. Garrett was not thrilled about becoming a father at only seventeen. He had his whole life ahead of him, and there Helena went, getting herself knocked up as a high school junior. Nine months later, when his and Helena's child, a boy, came into the world, Garrett was nowhere to be found. He hadn't bothered showing up for his son's birth. Helena was arguably upset. Garrett had all the fun making their child, and now that the hard part was here, he wanted nothing to do with the boy.
    
    Helena decided to keep her surname for her son, christening him Cole Weston Brady. After she recuperated from the strenuous birth, she took an infant Cole and went on the search for Garrett. It didn't take her very long to find him, either - Garrett hadn't fled the country, or the state, or even the town. Helena found him at his mother's house, hiding out from the parental duties he didn't want to take on. A years-long child support battle ensued, eventually ending in Garrett claiming full responsibility for the now-five year old Cole. It was now Helena who wanted nothing to do with Garrett or Cole. As soon as Garrett was awarded full custody of Cole, Helena left, leaving a young Cole heartbroken. He had thought the world of his mother, especially at his young age. Now, he'd probably never see her again (and he was right).
    
    Garrett decided to move to Seattle with his young son, looking for a fresh start. Jumping to the west coast after living his entire life on the east coast wasn't something that Cole was excited about, by any means. He had to go to a new school, make new friends, and adjust to his new surroundings. It wasn't long before Garrett and Cole packed up again, this time moving to Denver, then to Kansas City, then to Dallas. City after city, Cole started to get bummed out. Why did his father force him to move around so often? He was afraid to make friends every time he ended up in another city. Why should he hold on to the notion that he'd be there all school year long when he knew that Garrett would pull him out and ship themselves off to some other city somewhere? He started to lose his innocent view of the world, beginning to keep to himself rather than branch out and meet new people. After all, it wouldn't be long before he'd be whisked away to some other place anyway. Cole finally decided to stand up to Garrett after they moved to Boston when he was thirteen - he had had enough of this. It seemed like every time he started a new school year, he wasn't in the same town or city he was in the year before.
    
    But Garrett didn't seem to listen. After Boston, he took Cole to Buffalo, then Baltimore, then Pittsburgh. By this time, Cole was now sixteen and fed up. He turned to meaningless one night stands and weed - something to numb his inner feelings. Garrett was completely unaware of his son's increasing dependency on his vices - he was more concerned about making every new city or town work for them. Garrett and Cole were off to Charleston before finally making it to New York City, where Cole graduated from high school. Cole was now eighteen and finally able to make his own decisions, and he chose to stay in the Big Apple for a while.
    
    After staying in NYC for four years, Cole decided that the city life wasn't for him. So he pulled out a map and a dart, and decided that wherever the dart would land on would be the place for him. The dart landed on a small town in Florida. This shouldn't come as no surprise to anyone, but if you haven't already guessed, the name of the town was Rosemary Beach.
    
    He wasn't sure if he would like Rosemary Beach at all, considering that it was unfamiliar territory to him. But in no time flat, he had a surrogate mother, boyfriend, close-knit group of friends, and a kitten, all of his own, which he not-so-subtly named Baby Cat. (I mean, really - it's Cole, he's not that good at coming up with things!)
    
    It was through his boyfriend, Micah, that Cole finally got the courage to apply to college. And to his surprise, he was able to get in, though he'll have to take quite a few remedial classes first. Cole is starting college this fall semester. He's also about to move in with him.     Flash back twenty-five years ago, to 1998. The Denver Broncos won Super Bowl XXXII, Titanic won 11 Oscars, and President Clinton was denying having any sexual relations with Monica Lewinsky. And, in Tallahassee, Florida, two people fell in love. A thirty-year old Terry Hale locked eyes with a twenty-eight year old Nancy Foster from across a crowded coffee shop, and the rest was history. Their whirlwind romance culminated in their wedding a year and a half later, in January 2000.
    
    Their first child, Birdie Abigail, was born in December of 2001, and they became a happy little family. But they wanted more children...biological children which wouldn't come to them. So they saved up their money and had just enough to hire a surrogate to carry another child. Lindsay Claire was born at the tail-end of 2008. Their family was complete...or so they thought. Flash forward to 2012, where a now forty-two year old Nancy found herself pregnant yet again.
    
    Although it was a difficult, complicated pregnancy, a son was born. Prematurely, but healthy. Brett Daniel was the baby boy that the Hales thought that they would never have. And everything was perfect.
    
    That was, until Birdie's world came crashing down. At least, in her eyes, it did. To a thirteen year old, the world is out to get them. Change is hard for them to accept, and that rang true for a dramatic, angst-filled eighth-grade aged Birdie. Moving to Miami came out of left field. Birdie would be losing her friend group, her after-school activities...everything. A seven hour drive from everything she loved was utter torture. So, was it any surprise that once she graduated (as a junior, nonetheless), that she moved back to Tallahassee?
    
    But when she got back, everything had changed. Her friends, who were still in school, had gone off and made new friends. She couldn't take part in any of the activities she once loved because she wasn't in school. It was torture. So she enrolled at Florida State, getting her degree in communications. It was during this time that her goals of becoming famous emerged. She would never have to lift a finger again if she was an A-list celebrity. So, after graduation, Birdie moved to a little beachside town. She's just recently settled in Rosemary Beach, but she hopes she won't be here for long.     What do you think Zachary Foreman is like? If you guessed a flirtatious "bad boy", you were correct. He's an unashamed woman (or, more specifically, people)izer, using his charm and good looks to propel him forward in life. Being part of a band just adds to his ego. Maybe someone should knock him down a few pegs. Until then, good luck trying to bring Zach back down to earth, because there's no way in hell that he's leaving the stars that he's found himself scattered amongst.     Two junkies, one filthy mattress - what could go wrong? Everything, that's what. When Nicole Miller met Nathan Foreman, they were both addicts, living in and out of homeless shelters. Well, one thing lead to another, and soon Nicole was pregnant. That didn't stop her from using, however, and just thirty-four weeks into her pregnancy, she gave birth to a helpless, three and a half pound baby boy who needed the utmost care and attention. When Nathan was finally tracked down, the news of his son's birth was the motivation he needed to stay clean. The baby's mother, on the other hand, fell victim time and time again to the streets. She was clearly unfit to be a mother, leaving Nathan all alone to turn his life around for the better.
    
    And turn it around, he did. So much so that his estranged mother agreed to care for the child, Zachary River, while he worked on getting a job and finding a permanent place to stay. Nicole, on the other hand, would never see her son again, as an overdose took her from this world not even a year after his birth. Zach had lost his mother before he even had the chance to know her. But maybe that was for the best.
    
    Nathan tried to be a good father to Zach, doing everything he could to try to provide for his young son. But it was clear that there were cracks starting to form, and by the time Zach had started middle school, the tensions between them had become quite hostile, very quickly. And music soon became Zach's form of rebellion against his father. It became his escape, and he quickly formed his own band, Sleepless Daydream, as soon as he could round up a few other likeminded guys. Zach, of course, took the lead vocals, though his guitar playing was more of his strong suit.
    
    Unsurprising to none, Zach was able to emancipate himself in between his freshman and sophomore years of high school. He now plays basement gigs and underground shows with Sleepless Daydream as a pastime.
    
    He quickly befriended a "wise" older man, Walter Mahoney. But what Zach didn't know is that he was about to go to prison for embezzlement. Ten years, to be exact. Luckily for Zach, Walter was generous enough to pass the deed over to a run-down apartment complex in one of the worst neighborhoods in Rosemary Beach. In his free time, he enjoys plenty company at his apartment, if you catch my drift. It's where Zach's been since.

    for one, she's observant. with her being the daughter of some well-known people, she feels like she sort of... has to be? in order to spot out the 'bad eggs' and remove herself if she feels truly uncomfortable with something. it's work so far in terms of keeping out of harm's way. when you get to know her, you'll learn that she's loyal. if she's your friend, even if you're on bad terms, she's your friend for life (until you do something to truly hurt her). that's when she'll start distancing herself from you.

    they never expected to have a baby on a big holiday.
    
    their child was expected sometime between december 27th and the end of 2001. however, her mother struggled to go to sleep on december 23rd, due to stuff that felt a little off. so, as a result, her father brought them to the hospital where they were informed that labor seemed to be imminent. they would have the baby sometime within the next few days. she was released from the hospital. she was out of the hospital for the majority of christmas eve, part of her knowing that she'd be spending her christmas in the hospital. and you know what? she was right. on christmas day, december 25th, 2001, both her mother (natasha han) and her father (lee kibum) became parents to a little girl who they named ruby lee. she was born the only child of her parents and remained the only child, as her parents marriage continued to disintegrate.
    
    from the very first breath, she was somewhat of a big deal. she was her parents only child, meaning there were a lot of expectations riding on her. she was expected to be the 'picture perfect' child - well-behaved, talented, smart, etc. those expectations led to her growing up to be a little more on the quiet side. it was definitely not what her mother wanted, because she always dreamed of her daughter being outgoing. however, that's how things ended up.
    
    her parents separated when she was five, with former high school sweethearts falling out of love - this led to ehr being a little bit cynical when it comes to love growing up. they officially divorced when she was seven and her mother ended up with primary custody, her taking her daughter and moving to rosemary beach for a new start.
    
    she ended up joining a few clubs during her time in school. she joined the drama club, but worked behind the scenes as a scene designer (or someone who helps dress the set). in high school, she joined the cosmetology club and remained on the drama club. she was approached about joining cheerleading and the dance club, but turned them both down, as she didn't think she really had the confidence to go through with auditions. of course, the typical teenage stuff happened with her: she learned to drive, went to prom, graduated, had her first relationship and her first heartbreak (when said relationship ended because, as it turns out, she made him look good).

    a lot of people who know her and her family can say that she got a lot of her personality from her mom.
    
    one thing about her is that she is quite a humorous girl. she's the type of person to make tiktok skits, and likes to see the humor in everything. however, she does know that there's a time and place for certain things and she does know how to be serious. you can say that she's bubbly. she's not one to sort of hide away when it comes to talking to people. one of the things her dad is proud of the most (because she got it from him) is her wit. she can be witty with some of the stuff she says, and it has caught a few people off guard before.

  What Charlie wants, Charlie gets. She stops at little to reach her typically large goals and once she has something in her mind, it is difficult for her to change it. Charlie likes to have fun, it can be difficult for her to find the line before she's crossed it. Charlie is also an emotional girl who allows her emotions to completely rule her actions and can sometimes act very impulsively if she is upset or angry.

  Charlie isn't the best team player. She has difficulty working with others and much prefers to work on her own, to march to the beat of her own drum. There are a select few people that mesh very well with Charlie so when she finds them, she tends to work with them repeatedly to reduce the drama that can come with Charlie being overly independent.

  Charlie is known by many people for being smart, both academically and in general day-to-day life. Filled to the brim with wit, Charlie has a sharp tongue and an even sharper mind. Charlie prides herself on her 4.0GPA that she will do anything to maintain, partially because of the pride but also because of her scholarship. She is armed with clever comebacks for any insult or joke and has no issue saying them aloud.

  No one has bigger goals for themselves than Charlie. She's always thinking seventeen steps ahead, always ready for the possibility of a possibility. She's got goals that, for some, would seem entirely unobtainable. But no goal is too great for Charlie. In fact, the bigger and more complicated the goal, the better. Sure, she gets overwhelmed sometimes from putting way too much pressure on herself but with great goals comes great responsibility (or something like that).

  Don't let her small size fool you, Charlie far tougher than she looks. Charlie is known for calling people out on their shit and the threats she makes are followed up by action where needed. Piss her off enough and her bite becomes as bad as her bark (see: Chas's tooth, or lackthereof). Growing up with four older brothers has helped her become the sort of strong person she is, though being tough doesn't mean that people can't get to her. Petty comments usually aren't enough to get under her skin but keep at her for long enough and a comment can take over Charlie's mindset. She rebounds fairly quickly as long as guilt isn't involved in the situation.

  Charlie Howell, born Charlotte May Howell, was born in room 201B of the Brookhaven Hospital's maternity ward on January 24th, 2000. She is the only child of long time Rosemary Beach resident, Caroline Howell. Charlie, like many of the other residents, is Rosemary Beach born and raised. She attended the elementary school, played on the sports teams, became a beloved member of the Rosemary Beach community. Caroline, Charlie's mother, was a well known nurse at the hospital Charlie was born at and a member of the volunteer council at the school board. Wherever Caroline went, Charlie was right there in her shadow. It always just Charlie and Caroline against the world.
  
  As Charlie aged, it was clear that she was a gifted child. She regularly out performed her peers in school, eventually leading her to be officially labelled as gifted. As a result, Charlie was bumped up a grade from 4th to 5th grade during elementary school. Extremely talented in academics, Charlie also found a love of team sports during middle school. Her naturally competitive edge leant itself well to her schooling and athletic careers. She continued both well through high school where she eventually landed herself several scholarships to the esteemed Princeton University.
  
  Charlie moved away from Rosemary Beach after graduating high school, pursuing a degree in neuroscience at Princeton. She loved her work and fell easily into a rhythm of true academic success. She was on the path to great things, having a year on everyone else in her graduating class. Charlie knew what she wanted: she was eventually going to become Dr Charlie Howell, neurosurgeon. She'd study the brain, help people who felt hopeless and at the complete and utter mercy of uncontrollable conditions. She'd make a difference. That was her calling. Upon graduating with honours, Charlie accepted a position working for the school in hopes to fund her masters. Everything was working out as planned.
  
  The phone rang one evening, a call from the intake ward at Brookhaven. That night, Charlie hopped a flight home.
  
  Charlie's mother, having once been in perfect health, had fallen at work and had a seizure. It was then discovered, upon awaking the woman, that she had suffered a major stroke. It would be months, maybe even years, until her mother fully recovered, if ever. Everything about Charlie's life went on hold. They dropped thousands of dollars to set up the trailer they shared to be friendly for her mother once she came home. Charlie took the first available job as a waitress at a local restaurant called Oceania. Her hours not working were spent caring for her mother, helping her through physical rehabilitation.   Cadence Adams was born on a rather dreary evening in Dundee, Scotland. According to her record, Cade was an accidental pregnancy of a teenage girl and her ex-boyfriend. After her birth, Cade was handed over to the hospital and placed into foster care.
  
  Growing up, Cade moved from home to home, far less frequently than when she grew older. In her earliest years, people loved to have Cade around: she was cute, personable, energetic, sweet as honey. As she aged, the cuteness wore away and revealed a child scarred by constant upheaval, turning to causing trouble to gain the attention of several absent caregivers.
  
  By the time she was in her teens, her history of running away and being brought home by cops had caught up to her and she was placed in a group home. Life got no better, Cade even going so far as developing a minor criminal record over underage drinking and vandalism. The second she graduated high school, Cade hit the road and made her way to London, England.
  
  Throughout her life, music had kept Cade grounded. She picked up guitar and piano over the years. Her voice was unique but beautiful in a way, haunting as a siren. She fell in love with rock music and as soon as her boots hit London, off she went to try her hand at making a career out of music.
  
  Cade found herself a band and started off as a guitarist, eventually breaking out with a record deal as a solo rock artist. For the next few years, Cade began to rule the rock music industry. Perhaps never as popular as the mainstream pop artists, Cade’s fan base was strong and loyal.
  
  At the beginning of her solo career, Cade met and quickly fell for a drummer named Andrew. The two fell fast and quick and before she knew it, they were engaged. Being on the road was difficult and after two years together, their relationship was strained. Still, the two married and continued to tour together.
  
  Everything was good until Cade found out that her husband had been having affairs right under her nose. This broke her, to lose someone so important. Cade quickly filed for divorce but the break up threw her into chaos, turning to drinking and meaningless hookups and dangerous risk taking to cope with the loss. Eventually, it was recommended that she take a break from the spotlight.
  
  With her passport and visa in hand, Cade purchased a condo in the heart of Rosemary Beach. She’s just arrived and entirely not believing that this break is going to help her get over anything.   Daniel Ryan Murphy's story begins in the back of a taxi cab on the way to the hospital where his mother, a rather unsavoury character named Brittany Monson, aged seventeen, gave birth to the boy. Most of the details of Ryan's youth are hazy and unclear, mostly because Ryan has lovingly decided to block them the hell out for his own sanity. Really, all that's worth noting is that Ryan grew up in the streets with his mother, high school dropout and drug addict, and his step-father Matthew, criminal and deadbeat dad of the year runner up. When they were luckiest, typically when Matthew was doing court ordered rehab or some brief time in the slammer, Ryan and his mom would stay in homeless shelters for women and children. But the second Matthew was out, it was back on the streets again.
  
  When Matthew was out, life got harder. Both of his parents were frequently high off of who knows what, given to them by who knows who. The little cash they got from begging (Ryan's official position in the family was the family street beggar, no one can say no to a poor starving kid with a black eye) went straight to whatever his parents were fancying for. During these binges, Ryan would just sort of exist with whoever was sober enough to watch him. When the binges were over and his parents were coming down from a high taller than Mount fucking Everest, his life would play to the soundtrack of his mother's sobbing and promises that she'd do better by him. Matthew got particularly violent, taking out all of his frustrations with an angry fist or leather belt slammed into Ryan's body.
  
  Ryan missed a lot of school and for that, the rest of his academic career suffered. The only reason he even finished high school was his love of lacrosse and being known as the class clown of his grade. Popular enough with the students, Ryan was far from the favour of his teachers. Needless to say, he didn't get any stellar rave reviews from any of his teachers after he somehow managed to walk across that stage to get his diploma.
  
  After high school, Ryan took off. Why stick around for their bullshit when it was clear that, after eighteen long and exhausting years, there was no possibility that they were ever going to change. He did what any stupid teenager would do and stole what little he could from his parents before hopping on his motorcycle and hitting the road.   Everett Astor was born into a man’s world. The only child between his scumbag father, a well known Floridian senator, and his mistress, Everett had luxury from birth.
  
  Samuel Astor, douchebag supreme, was married and thus, when his mistress fell pregnant, an agreement was made: Samuel would take the child and the mother would have no contact. He and his wife would raise his child as theirs. Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, when Samuel’s wife found out about his affair, she left him to raise his newborn son alone.
  
  Everett was raised by a small army of hired nannies, chefs, and private teachers. With little family to call his own, and a father who really had no parental skills or any real desire to be a dad, family grew to mean very little to Everett. He spent a lot of time alone. He worked overtime to have the best grades, to participate in sports and be the leader of the pack, to bring home the most gorgeous woman he could find regardless of compatibility. All of that drive went directly out the window when he realized that no matter how hard he tried, Samuel would never want, love, or appreciate Everett.
  
  When Everett turned 18, he moved away to attend university in California. He studied political sciences in hopes to follow in his father’s footsteps. Upon graduating, he found that his passions fell short and he really despised politics. He moved back home to the ‘family’ home in Rosemary Beach that his father had moved out of and gave to Everett.
  
  Since graduating, Everett has been floating. He’s been partaking in hookups with whoever will bite, wasting the hush-hush money that his father gave him to keep his dirty laundry quiet on expensive alcohol and lavish trips.       Sarah was born Lady Seraphina Antoinette Keltine, eldest daughter of Marquess and Marchioness Keltine. To say that she grew up privileged would be a bit like calling someone falling from orbit “dead” on impact. She had everything that she could possibly want; tutors, hobbies, toys all provided at the snap of her parents’ fingers provided that she plays the part of the perfect Lady and doesn’t bother mommy or daddy outside of assigned times. The Marquess ran a profitable manufacturing business, Keltine Industrial (If you haven’t heard of it they make it), while the Marchioness was busy organising the hectic social schedule of the British Nobility, It would be wrong to say that they didn’t love Sarah but her birth and raising was definitely more of a duty than anything more familial.
      
      Home-schooled until she was 6, Sarah was then shipped off to boarding school only really coming home during holidays. It is not to be said that life changed much for her, Polo was one of the optional sports at her schools, but still this was her first exposure to people who didn’t go for several skiing holidays in the alps every year. The “joy” of this style of upbringing was certainly evident as to her nothing there was nothing unusual with the way that her parent treated her by loading on expectations. Frequently she was told how she was so lucky to have been born into wealth and prestige and so she felt that surely her life must be good. The first cracks in her perfect life didn’t start appearing until her last few years at school, as everyone started developing, and her friends regularly would leave for the weekend to go to various parties. She would never obtain permission from either her parents or the school as it was unbecoming of a Lady. The one time that she successfully snuck out the party was unceremoniously crashed by police accusing people of “kidnapping” the heiress. This issue was exacerbated by the fact that the only times that Sarah was allowed off school grounds, except for holidays, was when her parents needed her to attend a gala or ball.
      
      Having shown a remarkable lack of aptitude in an appropriate subject like law or politics Sarah’s parents begrudgingly gave her their blessing to study Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge. Her time at university was the first real freedom that she’d every had from her parents, even with their oversight and the weight of her name it was still possible for her to escape for periods and experience unfiltered life. Rather boringly then she decided that the thing to dive into wasn’t hard drugs and rock and roll it was engineering and actually being allowed to take non “feminine” subjects. Suffice to say that most of her illicit excursions ended at the college’s workshop and garage rather than the club. While life at Uni would seem to be perfect for Sarah, with nearly unlimited funds and the freedom to use them, it was just taking time for the other shoe to drop. While she was away from home her parents had been taking the time to begin vetting suitable bachelors, helped along by the still regular soirées that she dragged Sarah to.
      
      Her parents sprang this new situation on her the day after she graduated and she panicked. In that panic she decided to tell them that she couldn’t possibly commit to a betrothal yet, one of her professors had been so impressed with her that he had recommended her to a prestigious American university to further her studies. Despite her parents anger at her “acting out” Sarah successfully persuaded them that it was a good thing as she would get a chance to see more of the world and more education would surely only make her more eligible especially as people were marrying older now anyway, though she did have to agree to start attending various function with the men on the shortlist to get to know them. There was only one issue with her story, no such recommendation existed and her parents would definitely want some kind of proof of studies. What immediately followed was one of the most hectic periods in Sarah’s life where she begged, pleaded and bribed her way onto a postgraduate course in mechanical engineering at the California Institute of Technology.
      
      Caltech finally offered Sarah the complete freedom that she had been craving for the last 7 years, her parents were on the other side of the world and no-one here knew who she was. She revelled in her ability to let her hair down, gladly replacing her dresses and cardigans for trousers and jumpers and jumping into the more liberal atmosphere. Trying to not stand out Sarah jumped around several part time jobs, to keep appearances. She tried all sorts from store work, turns out acting like you know more than the customers is frowned on, to garage work, slapping one of your colleagues for insinuating that she should be bending over more than a bonnet is also discouraged, eventually she settled working as a tattoo artist in a small shop. While she possessed the creative talent of a chair years of stitching and painting lessons means that applying existing designs to skin is relatively easy all that is needed is a template and a steady hand.

      Pheobe stood on the side walk, key hanging loose in one hand staring up at the house she had spent most of her childhood in. It looked different, even beyond the overgrown front yard, it looked like all of the life had been pulled out with no lights on and a wedge of envelopes stuffed in the slot. After staring for a few minutes she finally opened the door and entered, upon crossing the threshold the sense of abandonment only grew. A fine layer of dust covered everything but it all looked like the owner had just stepped out for a moment there was even still change sitting in the small key tray by the door.
      
      Sitting at the table Pheobe sat staring at a photo of the three of them, the only photo of her that she could see in the house, it hadn't quite struck her until now what had happened it was so long since the death of her father she had forgotten that you can be as use to death as you want but your parents still seem to be immortal and larger than life until suddenly they're gone. She sat their staring at the photo fingers alternately rubbing over the figures of her father and mother before suddenly something snapped, she got to her feet in a whirl of action and finding the broom exactly where it always lived she got to work.

      Born to Colonel Steve Evans and his, at the time, Girlfriend Sofiá Barros it’s safe to say that Pheobe was an unplanned addition to their lives. Despite this neither of her parents were the type to turn their nose up at a challenge and so jumped into the process of raising a child feet first. Due to the demands of the service for the first year of her life she was mostly raised by her mother, in her small apartment in Anniston, but just before she turned 1 Steve managed to rotate back and took up a teaching position at West Point. About 4 months later Steve and Sofiá were married and moved onto “base”. Now that Steve was home to help with childcare Sofiá decided to go back into employment an she found work as a nurse at St Luke’s Cornwall.
      
      When Pheobe turned 6 Sofiá ’s parents died leaving an empty house in a small town called Rosemary Beach. As Steve was growing tired of teaching and was approaching the end of his enlistment period the family decided that it would be good to move down while the option was available and settle into the more regular domestic life. While it was, relatively, easy for Sofiá to move to a new hospital, Steve had issues after receiving his discharge papers but after a year of bumming around the house and a stern lecture from Sofiá he eventually went to college again and trained as an accountant before getting employed by a firm in Tampa.
      
      As Pheobe moved through schooling it became apparent that she was gifted, while a lot of her achievements can be traced back to her parents being there at every occasion to encourage and support her, some of them were clearly independent such as her grasp of language. Unlike her father and her mother numbers and science didn’t come naturally to Pheobe instead her brain processed languages much more easily. By 12 she was nearly fluent in Spanish, learnt from fellow residents and books, and she showed no sign of stopping in her determination to learn everything there was. Left alone she almost certainly would have fallen behind in her other subjects but her parents were there to always push her to focus onto her less liked subjects.
      
      Growing up in a military household, especially spending her early years at west point, she always wanted to join the military and used that as a driving force throughout her time at school diving into both her academics and as many clubs as possible to help support an application when the opportunity would arrive. This did however influence her social life, she was constantly busy and rarely had time to just socialise outside of doing some extra activity and so formed lots of surface level, but few deep, friends. She also was one of those insufferable kids who loved everything about the military and wouldn’t hesitate to take any opportunity to talk about it to anyone who expressed interest.
      
      Thanks to a mixture of her intelligence, her parents and her teachers she graduated High-school at 17 and immediately entered West Point majoring in Sociology. Her start at West Point was marred by tragedy as halfway through the first term her father died in a car accident, caused by someone running a red light. Pheobe took all her fury at the world and threw it into her studies, refusing to take any time off and pushing herself now with the pressure to succeed that can only come from a dead family member who expected you to succeed. Thanks to her drive and the ghost of her father pushing her on she graduated West Point in the top 2% of her class, joining the infantry as a 2nd lieutenant.
      
      2 tours in Afghanistan and 1 in Iraq later the now 23-year-old 1st Lieutenant Evans transferred from infantry to 5th Special forces group. Time on the field had changed Pheobe, gone was the idyllic view of the military as one massive family that stood unyielding against all odds, it had been made obvious how just like any family it is filled with loss but also how supportive this family could be. Her naive enthusiasm had changed replace with hard edges and a determination to stop at nothing to get the job done. Her time stateside during the infantry was characterised by very short trips home, just long enough to say hello before heading off to work at other bases.
      
      Pheobe served in the 5th SF for 3 years before her file changed from being white with black lines to black with white lines as she was transferred to ISA HUMINT. Her CO having been forced to admit that her skill with languages and intelligence was being wasted in special operations. The now Cpt Evans continued serving her grim determination continued as she got used to the darker side of “whatever is required”. Since her transfer out of infantry her visits home became even more sparse now that she wanted to catch up with old friends rather than visit her only parent and try and deal with the animosity that had grown between them.
      
      She’s served all over recently working strictly confidential details in intel and asymmetric warfare, the only advantage being that she has been getting longer rotations stateside to help deal with the increased mental load that these sorts of missions put on operators. Unfortunately, on her last deployment her mother died to a sudden stroke. Having heard Pheobe came home as soon as she could to oversee the funeral and dealing with the estate.       Pheobe is very use to working as part of a team or group and sometimes accidentally slips and starts referring to how we did things as a default. If you are willing to learn Pheobe is patient and will take the time to help and teach anything that she can but if people start being stubborn or just repeatedly failing to learn something then she will quickly loose her temper.
