Damien Tobiah Death
9da0822525f694c9601af307c6c7bf5e.jpg
Damien was definitely a sight to behold. A child of the closest thing this world had to a God, and the leader of souls. Well, an Immature one. He was at the weakest stage that a Shinigami could reach, due to him having a magic problem as a child, he progressed slower. But he grew now, and was progressing incredibly fast.

But, he was still at the lower ranks. He was the weakest Shinigami by far in recorded time, but was also the one who held the most potential. He was currently in a flying carriage, floating down from the Realm he was born in, with his father, Death, in front of him. They stayed silent as they rode, until his father finally decided to break the silence.

"Now Damien." he spoke with his commanding voice, "I don't want you to go all willy nilly, and start fights. You might get killed." Damien sighed, finally looking at his father. "One, I won't die. I may not be the strongest Shinigami but I have proven to hold my own. Two, father I'm not a complete idiot, I won't start random fights. And three, I'm immortal, I won't die."

"No, I'M immortal. You? You just age slowly and regenerate small wounds." he ruffled his sons hair, as Damien was still yet to know the price for having a successor as a Shinigami."Please Damien . . . For me? Just be careful." Damien blinked at his father, who never truly liked to share his emotions, and sighed. "Fine, fine . . ."

The Carriage stopped, opening up to the front of a forest. Death held Damiens shoulder, "Grow strong my son . . ." he muttered, and pulled him into a whisper, "And be careful of the 2nd Gate." Before Damien could utter a word, the man disappeared with the Carriage, leaving Damien by himself. He blinked, and shrugged it off. "No matter . . ."

Damiens turned, hands in his pockets as he simply walked into the forest.

Katerina sighed. Of course Siegfried had known she was following him; he had an inexplicable tie to the earth itself. Or, well, not totally inexplicable. He was an earth golem, after all. He paused to lean against a nearby oak tree, and she stepped forward lightly to stand nearer to him as he spoke. Her lips twitched in amusement at his dramatics, aware that there was no true harm done to his emotional state, and took a moment to debate the safety of responding vocally. Leonidas wanted her to push herself to gain more control over her voice, but the dangers of doing so... It made her nervous, to say the least. As she opened her mouth to speak, he called out to Chuck behind her, faint whimpers reaching her ears. Ah, poor freshman. Concerned for the safety of what was possibly a low-class yōkai, Katerina opted to instead flip her notebook open once more and write a response to Siegfried.

'And how is your emotional state? Need me to fix it? ' Her words were teasing, and the expression on her face said as much as she held the notebook up for him to read. Below that read a response to his inquiry about the warning he had given; she couldn't help but agree with him. 'Who knows what the academy lets run loose out here. Other than us, of course.'

Her shoulders shook slightly as though she was repressing a giggle, wary of the uncontrollable volume that laughter presented. Katerina lowered her notebook and flipped it back around to face herself after she was sure that the golem had read her message, casting a glance in Chuck's direction. Although not the only freshman this year, he was certainly the most concerning. No doubt that Siegfried - who was known for taking younger students under his wing - would try to look out for him, if only a little. Too much and it would be coddling; something she was sure that boy had had enough of for a lifetime. Somewhere, as well, there were the other freshman, although they seemed more capable than him. Once everyone was at the school, they'd have a better chance to size each other up.

'Walk with me? ' Katerina held up the question with an innocent expression and small smile.

Sure, her allure was the least likely to work on another S-level yōkai, but the earth golem was friendly enough, and in her brother's year. She could fight if she needed to, but after what happened in freshman year? No thanks. That harpy had been brutal. Until Katerina knew what the new students were, it was safer to team up with a somewhat familiar face, seeing as her own classmates were nowhere to be immediately found. That redhead from Great Britain in particular was concerning. Since everyone took human forms, there was no telling what anyone really was until a fight broke out.

Chuck S. Ward

Left Foot, Right Foot. Left foot, Right Foot.

Chuck looked down at the ground, posture stiff and sweating even more as he slowly walked through the dark forest. The one who founded this school must've had one...imaginative mind. He shook his head. O-Ok. Th-Think positive, Chuck! This is just like a video game! He felt a smile tug at his lips. Ye-Yeah! I-It was like he was the Hero! And he was walking down the final forest, about to head into the dark castle and-OH THIS WASN'T WORKING! He wasn't going to some place that was crawling with monsters who wanted to kill humans like him! He was just going to a really, really, scary school with people who were either equally scary or made him feel embarrassed.

He flinched when he heard Siegfried warn him. Yeah. Siegfried was definitely the second one...wait. Chuck felt his blood run cold when he heard a rustling near him, causing him to walk as quick as possible. NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE! "Thankyouforthewarning!" He said quickly the Siegfried as he passed the senior and Katerina. What they were talking about, Chuck currently did not want to know right now.

His arms crossed as he watched Chuck pretty much sprint past him and Katerina and he shook his head with a sigh. He looked towards Katerina, who had written that it was more than likely that there was something in here, besides the wild students who hung out here sometimes. He gave her a solemn nod, then looked the other direction as Rex stepped towards the two. He told Siegfried he ought to look out for Chuck for a while, as he might need it. Siegfried chuckled and nodded.
"Well of course I'm gonna keep an eye out for him. He'll learn to adapt soon. But you should help him out if you can too, you know."
Rex didn't say anything, but kept walking. An odd one, that Rex. He always tries to keep up that loner image, like he doesn't care what anyone thinks. It was even more odd to think that when he was able to sneak a peak at his phone when he was watching something last year and found out it was anime; but he kept that to himself. No doubt Rex would open up about that when he was ready. He turned back to Katerina, who was holding up her notebook again, asking him if he'd like to walk with her. He gave her a smile and stood up from the tree.
"Sure! I'll be your gallant escort for today."
He held his hand out in the direction they were going to walk in, inviting her to his pace, and began walking. He hadn't taken two steps before his whole body had a chill, and he shivered. What was that? This energy he was picking up...it was cold. Not the cold you'd feel when meeting a monster of ice or snow, but it was like a chill of...despair. Still walking, he felt around the earth for the source, and sure enough, it was behind them. Far, but still there. He turned to Katerina, buttoning up the bottom of his jacket as he spoke.
"Do you...feel that? Why did it get so cold all of a sudden...?"

Damien tried and tried to take his mind off of what his father had said, that it didn't matter. All Shinigami went through the 5 gates, heck, he was there when his older cousin hit the 3rd Gate. It's just a power boost, and one step closer to being a True Shinigami, so what was the problem?

Was it because he was apart of the main family? Because his father was the True Shinigami? Sure there were other Shinigami, but they were nowhere close to the main branches potential. But then . .. What was the problem?

Damien was so into his thoughts, that he let some of hi aura slip out. A cold, horrifying, freezing death aura that would set most things to stop in their tracks. He ran theories and ideas through his head over and over, imagining what the problem could be for awakening another gate. Or did his father just not think he was ready?

He had been so out of it, that he didn't notice the patch of students as he walked forward, accidentally bumping into the short dark skinned one. He stumbled a bit, being sent out of his train of thought and shocked back into reality as he slowly let his gaze fall upon the monster he bumped into.

Wait, scratch that.

It was a human.

He could see it almost clearly as day, his soul practically screamed Mortal. It was almost shocking, but that begged the question. How the hell did something as out there as a human get into Yokai Academy? And why were the monsters around him so calm about it? Or . .. Did they not know? But wasn't it illegal to have a human on campus?

He opened his mouth to speak, his dark cold blazing crimson eyes scanning them one by one, before closing his mouth. What was he supposed to say? Sorry? He let his eyes slowly gaze up, setting his eyes on the Siren, looking back to the human, to the golem, to the fairy to-

Wait.

He gaped, squinting with his red aye at the siren. "Kat?"

As he was walking down the path he paused and looked back. "Well that something... interesting another S class monster, a high grade one at that... I guess I should check on this... better to know the trouble before it starts. How many S classes are we getting this year?" Rex said with a sigh before walking back up the path to were the bus dropped them off. He then stood at the start of the dirt path in the woods and looked at the small group now forming with Siegfried, Katerina, and another student, a new one at that.

"Their is a strong aura, it also feels something like a undead but different... Well if I get chance to fight him it'll be fun little fight" Rex said lying on a tree watching them for a second. "Well I guess I got a face with the power. I'll tell the head of the committee later, they'll want to know about someone like this" Rex said finishing his thought before walking back down the path again.

The frightened freshman - bless his heart, her aunt would have said - passed the pair by, as though the gods themselves were at his heels. His jumble of English went in one ear and out the other, but Katerina waved politely regardless, unwilling to call out to him that he wasn't following the path very well. To her relief, quite happily Siegfried agreed to walk with her. That left her with one less thing to worry about, and someone that she could perhaps speak lowly to. By not using her vocal chords regularly, they were subject to the same risk as any muscle, and speaking to oneself at the end of the day wasn't an ideal exercise. So long as any low-level yōkai were out of earshot, they'd be fine. Probably. She'd just have to watch her words as well, just in case. All in all? Nothing too difficult.

As she stepped up to join his side, Katerina felt a shift in the air. Familiar, oddly enough, but no less chilling. The kind that sunk into your bones and was producible only by an aura, it could only belong to an S-class. But for what cause? There may have been a fight nearby, although she heard no sounds to indicate that theory, or a freshman was unaccustomed to what they were doing and had slipped up, perhaps. Regardless of cause, the source was not pleasant, and she kept pace with Siegfried as he closed his jacket in an attempt to ward off the cold. Her movements stilled, however, leaving her to fall behind the golem when her name was called. She turned, light green eyes widening with surprise.

"Oh!" she exclaimed, dropping her notebook as she covered her mouth to stifle the sound. Oops. At least it hadn't been loud, or anything that could be considered hypnotizing. Chuck was still nearby, not to mention other students.

Stooping over quickly to gather the notebook and its attached pen, Katerina racked her brain for the other student's name. He was wearing their school's uniform, and the familiarity of him - and his aura - wasn't lost on her. Who he was, however, escaped her. He knew her name on a familiar level, and he was definitely older than when she'd last seen him... But his name. When it didn't come to mind, she settled for a simpler message.

'It's you! What are you doing here? ' Certainly not the best way to start a conversation, but the red eyes and older appearance had her thrown. That was when it hit her. She turned the notebook back to herself, scrawling his name out in her sharp handwriting before she presented it once more. 'Damien? '

Katerina was, admittedly, a little embarrassed that she wasn't sure of his name. The isolation she'd gone through in middle school had muddled her memories, and she vaguely recalled her disappointment that he hadn't been attending the academy when she started her freshman year of high school. Now, though, their age difference was a little more evident. What was he doing on campus now? He must've been home-schooled, too, but this was high school. With a small frown, she pushed her thoughts aside, deciding that she'd just ask him later. There was nothing wrong with a couple of childhood friends catching up, after all.

Marilyn Drayton eyed the group behind her, the gust of death an interesting touch to her senses. Oh the days she met the leader as a young child, he was cool in her eyes but her father like any dad was protective as ever. Interesting to see his son though his aura carried little in the way of power. She remembered heading to Japan to meet Shinigami when she was mastering her ability to Soul Search, their tips were useful and they were surprised a dragon managed to be able to do it. Then again she was a Queen at that time.

"Curioser and curiouser, perhaps my next step would be strengthening the bomds to the Shinigami to the rest of our kind," she whispered as Marilyn saw the School ahead. It was huge without a doubt and the style was clearly Japanese. She knew the language of course, she knew most.

"Yokai Academy," Marilyn muttered before walking towards the school. They typically had initation periods, so she guessed they were to be led to the hall? Or amphitheatre? The dragon waited but something was bugging at her, her body hair stood on end as she watched many people crowd into her space. Marilyn backed away a little, standing apart from the crowd, she had an urge to fly, get her wings out but she knew it would be better to wait for when she was alone. Would she be sleeping in a dorn room as well? Or had they made 'special' arrangements for her?

When were they gonna get there?! If Chuck was here any longer, his heart was going to explode! Shaking, his walking had slowed, but he was still a bit fast in his pace, his fear causing him to wildly look around. The application never said anything about the school being in the middle of...all of this! And he should know! This only further added his suspicion about this place. When he tried to do research on it at home, there was no documents of this place at all other than the application! No results on google except some anime links and roleplay site forums, No books in the library, and especially no knowledge of it from his teachers. Was this even a school? For all Chuck knew, this could all be some elaborate ruse to lead him to his death at some creepy house.

That, however, caused him to chuckle just a little. No. That was silly...no one would go through all that effort just for some 5'4 ball of anxiety. He shivered, feeling the air suddenly turn colder. Maybe he had a jacket in his back? Setting down his duffel bag for a second, he looked around furiously before gulping and rifling through it. Lets see. Manga, laptop, a few novels, and some clothes to last him two weeks if he had a proper laundry schedule. But where was that Ja-

His train of thought was interrupted as something bumped into him, and the cold suddenly got stronger. Shivering even harder, Chuck slowly looked up at the figure and nearly jumped, catching piercing red eyes stare back at him. He opened his mouth to apologize, but the words were caught in his throat. What...What was it about him that made him so scary? Before he could embarrass himself further, however, the boy took his eyes away from him, causing a breath of relief to come out from him. Slowly zipping his bag, he continued walking, more sweat coming down his forehead.

Great. Another person to try and avoid.

Damien stopped moving, just looking at hi childhood friend as she wrote. His friend, his only true friend for as far as the Shinigami could remember. She pointed the book at him, as he read her words. But before he could reply, she came back with it, now his name in the center/

She remembered.

He struggled to keep his emotions in check. He wanted to hug her, cry, yell, hit something. He just felt so . . . Happy. Something he hadn't felt in what felt like a could decade. Of course it wasn't however. But, he couldn't hide everything, as his hand twitched, and he walked over and hugged her.

He held her in the hug for, what could be considered a cringe worthy amount of time, before letting her go and smiling. "The one and only .. ." he muttered laughing for a split second. He slowly turned, looking at the others, and then the human.

Just by looking at him he seemed anxious, and scared. He wasn't supposed to be here, he DIDN'T want to be here. Had he been dragged into the school by accident? But how? Wouldn't the bus driver have stopped him? But before he could continue his train of thought, that's when he sensed her. The dragon.

He had never met her personally, but his father had spoken of her. "A dragon Queen," he had said, "Surprising that she visited the Shinigami, and especially me. She wanted to learn our Soul Search ability. I told her sure, if she could do it. . . And she did." Death then shook his head, laughing, "First time anyone other than a God of Death was able to learn it without their Soul burning out, if you ever meet her Damien, be sure to be polite. And tell her Death said hello."

Siegfried Nadashi

Siegfried looked from Katerina to the boy in front of them. He shivered again just looking at him. That was definitely the source of the cold he was feeling. He wasn't sure why, but for the first time...he didn't like this person just by looking at them. Something in the back of Siegfried's mind told him whoever this was was dangerous. He stared at the boy, his usual cheery expression gone. In it's place was a scowl, one he hadn't shown to anyone during his time here at Yokai. It lasted a few seconds before Siegfried forced it away, turning his head to Katerina with a perplexed expression.
"You know this guy, Katerina?"
Now how on earth did she come to meet this one? He had to admit, it was probably a sketchy meeting at best. This kid, despite not even knowing him, made Siegfried feel...angry at him. It was an emotion he had always kept under wraps, letting no one see; how could they look up to someone who got angry at the tiniest thing? Trying to distract himself, he looked down at his watch...and nearly jumped five feet in the air. There was only ten minutes until his speech!
"No! Nonononono! I'm gonna be late! AHHHHHHH!"
It would also be prudent to mention that Siegfried had not been tardy a day of his life. He certainly had no intention of starting now, especially during today; the student body president, Siegfried, was required to give a small speech to the Freshmen at the Welcoming Ceremony, mainly just to implant in their minds that Siegfried and the rest of Student Council were here to help, not like the Student Council years before. He turned to Katerina and have her a quick bow, speaking faster than she had probably ever heard him before.
"SorrybutatthisrateimnotgonnamakeitintimeIhaveaspeectomakesopleaseforgivemebutihavetoleaveyouwiththeequivalentofahumanrefridgerator,bye!"
And as soon as he was finished, he took off in a wild sprint, going much faster than you might expect, already passing Chuck, who was about twenty five feet ahead of them, leaving a cloud of dust in his wake.

Frederick Gragos

suit_and_tie_by_marina_shads-d5xctrw.png

"I am not ravenous, I am not a beast..."

Frederick muttered this phrase ad nauseam as an emotional handhold, to assure himself that everything would be fine; mostly to keep his anger in check. Since the first day he started taking private etiquette lessons, his teacher gave him that sole phrase to control any barbaric outburst he may feel the need to have.

Currently Frederick was fiddling with a sheaf of papers which held the queue of speakers as he stood next to a podium in the Academy's auditorium. Giving occasional glances to the student body and backstage, his nerves began to tense up a bit. Frederick was the emcee for today's Welcoming Ceremony, he was to ensure that all the speakers were lined up, ready to go, and especially to ensure that everything was fine.

Everything wasn't fine. The ceremony was about to begin in a few minutes, and the head of the student council somehow was late. For the love of gods, it's so unlike him! Why today of all days?! Atop that, the public relations student council rep. somehow managed to not be picked up by the Academy bus, so OF COURSE she would arrive tomorrow. And yet again, another possible candidate for freshman class representative fainted from stage fright. I swear I'm going to ki-- Frederick stopped his thoughts. It wasn't healthy for his mental state, and it could just as easily end up not being healthy for those around him. Quietly, he went over these facts with a sneer planted on his face. Frederick slowly turned his head to the backstage area and whispered, desperately trying to act calm.

"We have five minutes until we have to start. Does anyone have an inkling as to where our poster-boy is?"

For all of the embarrassment that Katerina felt for not immediately recalling Damien's name, it seemed to be that he didn't really mind. After a moment's hesitation, he approached her, pulling her into his arms securely. The full foot of height difference made the hug feel a little awkward - more so than how long he hugged her - and she had to split her attention to focus on Siegfried's question.

"Yeah," came her muffled response. "He's cool."

Chuck had long since left, which assured the siren that if she did say something particularly swaying, her present companions wouldn't be affected like the freshman might have. As Damien released her from his hold, Siegfried let out an exclamation of upset. He'd be late? Late for- oh. Right, the "Big Bro" of Yōkai Academy was the president of the Student Council, which meant that he had start-of-term duties to attend to. The earth golem bowed in apology, words tumbling out of his mouth faster than Katerina could follow. What she did catch sounded like an insult to her childhood friend, but there was no opportunity to call the senior out on it. He was already off and running, out of sight and possibly well on his way to frightening any unwitting freshmen.

With a sigh, Katerina turned her attention to her surroundings, taking a moment to assess any yōkai nearby. Satisfied to find no immediate signs of anyone low-class near her, she smiled up at Damien. If the age difference wasn't enough, the height difference sure was.

"Finally joining the general populace?" she joked softly, trusting that he'd be impervious to her voice's allure. "New students are supposed to be at the Welcoming Ceremony. I can take all the time I want."

It felt strange to speak so much in one go, and Katerina tensed as someone else rushed by. High-strung and tense, she clammed up immediately. Perhaps some of her anxiety was unfounded, but that didn't lessen it at all. If anything, it made it worse, feeding into itself like the problem it was. Scratching her pen across the paper of her notebook, she stepped back a little from Damien to show him her question.

'Need an escort to the auditorium? ' Her eyes danced as she teased him, smirk on her face despite her unease at having spoken so much previous to writing once more. Of course, it was probably stranger for Damien to not hear her speak, since she'd only taken a vow of near-silence during her home-schooling for middle school. 'We can't be that far from the school now.'

Siegfried Nadashi
images-58.jpg

Siegfried's glasses twinkled in the daylight as he sprinted along. It was odd to see a Golem of all things move this fast, but Siegfried was giving it everything he had to get there. Soon enough, he was out of the forest, and running towards the front of the school. But as he ran up the steps to it, he tripped! His body went flying into the air, and thinking quickly, he stuck his hand out. As soon as he felt it hit the ground, he pushed off on it, turning it into a backflip, then another, then another, flipping his way up the stairs until he reached the top, which he landed on his feet at in a huff. The few late students around gave him a light applause, to which he smiled and gave them a small bow, adjusting his glasses once more. Slowing down now and taking a breather, he quickly walked around the side of the building that housed the auditorium, opening a door at the back and stepping inside, quietly closing it behind him. At this moment, he heard a loud hiss if frustration, to which a sly grin formed on Siegfried's face. That was most likely Frederick; the poor guy had his hands full today trying to manage the assembly. As he recalled, this was his first time doing so, and he remembered the faces of pity around the committee as they drew his name from a hat at the end-of-the-year meeting. Still, a job is a job. He took a step forward, his foot hitting something, and paused to look down. That looked to be another freshman, and Siegfried sighed as he called over two more student council members and asked them to please try to wake him up. The two boys shrugged and picked the freshman up, one lightly slapping him while the other searched for some water to splash on his face. Siegfried stepped towards Frederick, peeking out from behind the curtain to see the auditorium nearly filled with Freshmen and a couple upper-classmen. Breathing a sigh of relief, he greeted Frederick as he began taking off his coat to reveal the school's normal green blazer underneath.
"Morning, Frederick. Has everything been going according to plan, or can I assume that the passed out student over there has already answered that for me?"
Taking a peek back towards the student and the two councilmen, he saw that the one who left finally found a bottle of water, and had poured some on the kids face, who awoke from his stupor in a crazed daze, eyes darting everywhere.
Siegfried suppressed a chuckle as he hung his coat up on a nearby hook the drama club used to hang their costumes. He adjusted his red tie once more, then checked his watch. It was time to start, and Siegfried took a deep breath. He turned to Frederick once more and clasped him on the shoulder.
"Gods be with ye."
He turned around and marched onstage. The chatter in the crowd died down as he approached the podium in the center of the stage. There weren't any spotlights on, thank goodness, as it was bright enough already with the sun leaking in through the windows. He tapped the Mic on the podium to test that it was on, and cleared his throat before speaking.
"Good morning to you all! To all the first years out there, let me be the first to welcome you to Yokai Academy! And for all you veterans out there, why'd the heck you come back to this dump?"
A chuckle rang out from the audience as he paused for a moment.
"My name is Siegfried Nadashi, and I am President of the Student Council. If you should ever have any need for assistance here in your time at the Academy, please don't be afraid to seek me or any of the Student Council members out for aid."
He paused for another moment, taking a deep breath.
"Now, before I continue, I'd like to address something. Yokai Academy has been around for a very long time. It's been a safe haven for monsters and yokai just like you and me so that we can learn how to live in harmony with the human population. However, never has the school felt more like a prison than a place of learning than five years ago. Our Student Council and the Disciplinary Commitee were complete tyrants, and we acknowledge that. I know that some of you out there might've had brothers or sisters who went here during that time and were reluctant to come here yourselves. But I can promise you, as long as I'm your President, this will be a sanctuary where everyone can learn in peace, without fear of injustice and extreme punishments."
The audience gave an applause at this, to which Siegfried paused and took another deep breath, adjusting his glasses as he waited for the applause to die down.
"Now, with that gloomy business out of the way, let's get to the announcements. First, a recount of the school rules. This is mainly for all you first years out there. Rule number one: You may not share your monster identities. Remember that at this school, we're trying to learn how to fit in with humans. Introducing yourself as a bloodthirsty werewolf isn't exactly a normal thing to do.
Rule number two: You are not to transform into your monster forms. Unless it is a case of extreme self defense, you don't want to be relying on your monster forms in the real world. If you'd like to learn a form of human self defense while you're here, I'd recommend joining the Karate Club."
He gestured to a seat in the front row, where Hidetoshi, the Karate Club President was sitting. Hidetoshi stood up and gave everyone a wave to let them know he was there.
"Rule number three: do not attack your fellow students in any way, shape, or form. We will not tolerate any form of bullying here. Anyone caught doing this will face severe consequences."
Siegfried's face became oddly serious, removing the light hearted tone he had while he was speaking. Clearing his throat once more, the tense atmosphere removed itself.
"Thank you all for your time. Now, one of our staff members, Ms. Nekonome, will lead you out to the commons area of the school grounds. There you will receive your school schedules, and you'll have an hour to find your room at your dormitory where you can leave your things before the school day starts. Remember people, boys stay in the boys dorm, and girls stay in the girls dorm. If you get caught, please don't say you got confused as to which one is which, the girl one is pink, for goodness sake."
He rolled his eyes to emphasize his point and got another laugh from the crowd. The door to the auditorium opened, and Ms. Nekonome gave everyone a wave as she stepped through, her orange ears twitching in the slight breeze. As the students stood from their chairs, Siegfried stepped offstage to where Frederick was waiting and gave him a pat on his shoulder as he put his bomber jacket back on.
"I know some people are missing today, so we'll have them make some announcements tomorrow. Let's just try to let the freshmen have a normal day today, yeah?"
Zoltan Zoltan (And anyone else who was in the auditorium.)

Maxwell Bloodraven
As the current head of the public safety committee, he was sitting in the front row... Well he was more kneeling in front of the head of the cooking club and "confessing his feelings" to her as he was waiting for Siegfried to arrive and make his speech. "I would swim through an endless ocean, fight an endless army, and get stabbed by a silver sword, to just see your beautiful face." Maxwell said softly rubbing his hand on the student's cheek. The cooking club head blushed a little, before smacking Maxwell's as hard as she could.

"You do this every year! Just... Just go die!" The cooking club head said blushing a deep red and turning away Maxwell. At this point Siegfried got on stage. So Maxwell got up and gave the cooking club's head a smile and a bow before walking back to his seat just before the speech started

Maxwell gave a small round of applause as the speech ended. He then got out of his seat and walked over to where Siegfried walked off stage to. Maxwell was clapping his hands as he walked up to Siegfried. "
Excellent speech. Of course that would be expected from the student counsel president." Maxwell said smiling.

Siegfried adjusted and smoothed out his jacket, turning around at the sound of a familiar calm and suave voice. It was none other than Maxwell, the wannabe charmer Vampire. Siegfried raised an eyebrow as he approached, but still had his usual smile on his face. He pushed his glasses farther up his nose as he responded.
"That means a lot, coming from the Head of the Disciplinary Committee. Or should I say, the Head of the Getting Massively Rejected Committee?"
Siegfried stepped farther into the stage and looked out at the empty auditorium with a grin. This wasn't the first time Maxwell was seen hitting on someone in a public area, and it definitely wouldn't be the last. Siegfried had known him from his Freshman year; well, more like he knew of him. While Siegfried was still making a name for himself as the most reliable guy around, he always heard of another public antic made by a kid with fiery red hair desperately trying to hit on one of the upper-classmen. More often than not, the stories usually ended with Max getting slapped, hit, or kicked. It wasn't long before Siegfried was helping him clean himself up after a massive stunt to try and get a third year Witch to go out with him, and gradually, the two developed a modest friendship, revolving mostly around Siegfried being pulled into Maxwell's plans to hit on someone, then being around to clean up the mess afterward. He turned his head to Max once more, crossing his arms.
"You know, you aren't exactly setting a shining example to the Freshmen as Head of the Disciplinary Committee. You're not planning on adding a kiss to the list of viable punishments, are you?"

Frederick Gragos

Frederick's heart eased just a bit when he saw Siegfried's outline through the blinding light that led to the outside of the building. At least a few things were managing to go well in this hell-storm of an event.

"Oh that just sums up about most of this ceremony..."
Frederick gestured to the passed-out freshman who was being dragged away.

Frederick patted Siegfried on the back, blurting out
"Same to you, and just make sure you don't faint or anything," as he pulled his body off the stage with each movement of his legs. Frederick plopped down onto a metal chair and enjoyed the tone of silence and Siegfried's ramblings about school etiquette, feeling the tension of worrying about the day's events slip away down an emotional drainpipe. Frederick rubbed his hands about his face, getting rid of the annoyingly wet droplets of sweat that resulted from his extreme anxiety from planning. "Christ, this isn't good for my complexion."

As the audience roared with applause, all Frederick could think about was laying half-dead in that metal chair. His eyes were drifting shut closer and closer by the sec-- Ahh! ... Oh. Siegfried just gave him a little pat, that's all. Frederick darted up from his seat. "Yeah, yeah... I just ... I just wanted it to be a really good, normal first day. Well here's to next year, I guess. And here's to hoping that I won't have to manage this damn thing again." Frederick tried his best to chuckle away the anger he once felt.

Stepping out onto the stage after Siegfried, he spotted the most pseudo-romantic Vampire of them all: Maxwell Bloodraven. Chuckling at the remarks between the two of them, Frederick interjected as Siegfried finished talking. "And, by the way, Maxwell... I'd suggest not relying on your racial talent to deliver such vapid pickup lines. A pun or two can actually work quite wonders in winning a lady's affection!"

Ah yes, Frederick could feel himself getting back into the groove of Yokai academy. This first day would mark a whole new year of fun! (Along with possibly more anger or maiming, but that's not the point.) And, atop all, roasting his fellow students was something Frederick could always enjoy.

Maxwell Bloodraven
"Well with every rejection theirs someone excepting my offer. I believe I have held more girlfriends then you easily." Maxwell said with smirk. "And my work speaks for itself when it comes to setting an example. Sense I've been the committee head, the school has far safer... and to let you know, a kiss from me would do nothing to detour anyone. It in fact will just make the female student break the rules more" Maxwell said joking about the last part a little.

After commenting on what Siegfried said he turned to Frederick and listened to his advice. "
My methods depend on the lovely lady I currently have an eye for. Puns are helpful with some but other it takes sweet talk such as pickup lines. Each woman has their own route to the heart. Remember that when you find your chosen love." Maxwell said proudly and dramatically. Then Maxwell cough into his hand a little before moving on. "So have either of you see any freshmen of interest? Like S class or trouble makers... Maybe some new cuties to..." Maxwell asked Fredrick and Siegfried.

Marilyn Drayton stood at the back after following the gaggle of students, freshman, like herself into the Auditorium, the dragon listened intently to Siegfried, nodding along in agreement and gave a small smile at the end. When the auditorium emptied she titled her head from the wall, listening in on a conversation that was cringy enough to make her scales shiver. "Would you like to show me the dorms Siegfried? I've missed the large group it appears," the Dragon walked forward and up onto the stage where the two other boys were waiting. Marilyn looked at the auditorium. "How strange, what are you Siegfried? To these students? A leader?" she question her British accent thick as she did not understand what a student president was, a leader of the people? Of school? Schools in Britain did not have these so this was more of a...culture problem. Things changed a lot from when she was in Japan.

"Earthen one, how old are you?" she asked with a smile as she stood watching him though slightly positioned further away from the cringy vampire. Marilyn wondered where the Shinigami was but let the cold one drift out of her mind...for now.

"And are these your, deputies?" Marilyn questioned as her human form looked around at the layout of a Japanese school, she radiated power but her aura she did not care to conceal. But she was confident nonetheless.

...This was the school?

Chuck's eye twitched as he looked up at the building. It was bigger than every elementary/middle school he went to combined! But not only was it big...it was scary. REALLY scary. There was almost no color, the texture looked a bit rickety, and what was worse..the people. Looking down back at the entrance, he saw people, from freshmen to seniors alike, flood through, causing him to start shaking again. O-Oh noooo. What if he bumped into someone and they tried to fight him?! Or he said something wrong and made someone cry?! Or what if he took the wrong bus and this wasn't really a school?! Everything looked more like some kind of creepy cult then an actual school! He was rooted to a spot on the ground, just staring at the entrance in front of him, shaking and sweating.

"...Hey, Dude. Ya look like you've seen a ghost."

Shrieking in terror, Chuck quickly whirled around and held out his arms to defend himself against...a normal person. Well, as mean as it sounded, 'Sickly' seemed more appropriate then normal. He was a little taller than Chuck, but was also a bit skinnier too. His clothes consisted of a grey T-shirt that seemed stretched out to the point where you could see his shoulders and fading blue jeans. His skin was so pale that he could've been mistaken for a vampire, and his eyes looked...dead. Not to mention he had staples in his mouth, which made the nervous boy shudder. Realizing the guy was just staring at him, face tired and blank, Chuck jumped and cleared his throat, looking down at the ground and rubbing his head.

"O-Oh! Well, uhm...the thing i-is...uh-uhm..."

"...Oh. I get it." The guy droned, blinking slowly before pointing at Chuck. "...You're one of those nervous guys, eh?"

Chuck didn't say anything. He could only just purse his lips and continue to look down. He wasn't wrong. After a moment of silence, he felt something pat his shoulder, causing him to wince a bit. "It's no biggie. You must be a freshmen too right...?" No answer. "Hm...ya wanna go to this ceremony thingy with me, then?" This caused Chuck to quickly look up in surprise, the guys face actually remaining empty the whole time. Did...Did he ask if he wanted to come with? Chuck rubbed his arm and blushed.

"...Yes. I'd like th-that." He agreed. He could've sworn he saw the guy's mouth twitch for a second before he nodded and they began to walk.

"...Hey. The names Stitch."

"Uh-Uhm...Ch-Chuck."

...Maybe things were starting to look up for him?

-

Stitch, after watching the speech, nodded to the rules. Huh. Seemed like legit rules, although he could do without that guy telling it. He kinda sounded...annoying. This school had a bit of a dark history, and he shivered at the bloodthirsty werewolf part, but otherwise he understood.
"That speech was pretty okay...what do you think, Chu-" And when Stitches turned to his acquaintance, he was met with a twitching form on the ground, Chuck's eyes glazed and twitching along with his fingers as shocked grunts came from his mouth. "...Huh...Anyone know what to do?" He said, a small crowd of monsters watching this transpire shrugging. "Oh."

Siegfried turned to Frederick with a sigh and waited for him to finish speaking, a hand going up to rub his temples.
"Please don't give him any tips. The last thing we need right now is Max scaring all the poor freshmen girls."
He turned back to Max and crossed his arms as he listened to him speak, an eyebrow arching up as he finished. He rolled his eyes before he spoke.
"Max, you do know that this isn't a competition, right? Anyone would be able to have more girlfriends than I anyway; I've never had one. Makes it even more confusing as to why you constantly drag me into your 'love schemes'. And for goodness sake, leave the freshmen be. Honestly, sometimes I think you see them more as prey than people sometimes."
He held his arms upward and gave them a long stretch, letting put a satisfactory groan as he did so, when his thoughts were interrupted by a familiar, powerful voice. It was M, and she sauntered forward, questioning Siegfried. His usual smile returning, he adjusted his glasses proudly before adressing.
"Well, if it isn't the enigmatic M! Ha, yes I guess you could call me a leader, though probably not the type you're thinking. I'm Student Council President. That means I'm in charge in overseeing all club activities, school events, and anything else regarding the student body. It's a tough job, but I'm up to the task."
Then she questioned him about his age, and gestured to the two beside him, asking if they were his 'deputies'. He laughed, and shook his head.
"Deputies? No, they're not like that. Mr. Bloodraven here is the Head of the Disciplinary Committee, and Mr. Gragos was just helping out with the assembly. I curious as to why you ask my age, though. Still, I've nothing to hide; I'm seventeen years of age. Be eighteen in a couple months. I'd be glad to show you to your dormitory though; I need to drop my stuff off anyway before class starts."
He walked back over to the offstage coat rack and grabbed his duffel bag, flinging it over himself as he stepped back onstage with the others. He gestured for M to follow him, but as he walked down the stairs to the ground of the auditorium, he heard an eerie, soft voice ring out. He turned his head, and to his surprise, he saw an incredibly pale kid standing over someone on the ground. Immediately, this kid unnerved Siegfried; he couldn't feel anything coming from him, but his demeanor didn't give off anything that said he was weak. He called for aid, and Siegfried fast walked over to him and the fallen kid. He knelt down and rolled the kid over, and raised an eyebrow as he saw who it was.
"Chuck? Ah, poor kid. Must've finally passed out from the nerves."
He felt his pulse just to be sure; yep, nice and strong. He lightly tapped his face, trying to wake him up, but to no avail. He reached into his bag and dug around a little until he found a bottle of blue sports drink. Unscrewing the cap, he smiled to himself.
"This oughta wake him up. Or at least energize him with electrolytes."
He gently tipped it over and poured some onto his face.

Maxwell Bloodraven
Maxwell listened to what Siegfried said came to one conclusion, he needed to help Siegfried get girlfriend so he'll understand him more. ...But who through... He'll probably want someone in the same grade... Maybe that gargoyle from the judo club... Or possibly the slime in the tennis club... Maybe I should sneakily get his opinion on what girls he likes... Maxwell thought not noticing Marilyn at first. Then Siegfried said his name and Maxwell was pulled away from his thoughts. When he left his thoughts he saw Marilyn and began his usual method of meeting new woman.

Maxwell pulled a rose out of nowhere and bowed to Marilyn slightly. "
Such beauty with a voice of fine British heritage" Maxwell said standing up straight and offered the rose to Marilyn. "If you could do me a great honor and tell me what the name of such beautiful creature as yourself is?" Maxwell asked with a bright smile.

"Monster Forms."

"Monster Identity."

"Fit in with humans."

Parts of the speech echoed through his head as he stared up at the ceiling in a trance. His heart was near beating from out his chest, and he felt the stirring of a headache. Monsters...he was in a school...full of monsters? Bu-But it didn't make sense! Everyone here was human! But...that would explain why everyone seemed so scary! And based on what Siegfried said, they all could change into their 'Monster Forms' or whatever they called it! Di-Did they know he was human?! What if they found out he was human?! Would they suck out his blood?! Eat his brains?! RIP OUT HIS HEART AND-?!

"GAH!" Chuck exclaimed, sitting up as soon as he felt something wet hit his face. Rubbing his cheek, he looked down at his hand. What was this stuff? It smelled like one of those energy drinks his mom doesn't like. With a small look of disgust, he shook his hand to get it off before looking around...before his face drained of so much color he could've been mistaken for Stitch. Siegfried was right there...and Stitch...and a few monsters were looking at him.

"...Yo. Chuck?" Stitch tried to call, a small frown appearing on his face when he saw Chuck begin to shake, his breathing turning irregular. Slowly, he moved his hand toward the boy. "You ok-" Before he knew it, his hand was slapped away, causing Stitch to have a momentary look of surprise. And he couldn't even question why, because Chuck had scrambled up and sprinted out the exit. Stitch just stood there, looking at the door as his surprised look slowly turned into one of fatigue, causing him to turn to Siegfried.

"...Maybe you should try water next time."

PICK UP, PICK UP, PICK UP, PICK UUUUP!

Hiding behind a tree, unknowingly, a few yards away from the girl's dormitory, Chuck furiously typed in the number to anyone in his contact list, which was only his mom and dad. But he was continually met with no signal! This couldn't be happening! He couldn't really be stuck here, right?! RIGHT?!

Isabella had had a pretty relaxing mourning in her dorm. She had been laying around most of the day bored out of her mind till she had to get ready for class. Pulling on her normal black and white dress and completely forgetting about the uniforms she got dressed then shivered a little. Looking over to the opened window she started over to it to close it but before she could get there she tripped on a stack of books and stumbled to the window. Yelling and trying to keep balence as she stumbled to the window before she bumped into the window seal and fell out. Yelling loudly as she fell from her dorm and into a tree with a crash as she came down. Soon she found her self having landed in the lap of another student who was a guy. Groaning softly as she brought a hand to her head and rubbed a little red spot while her little wings folded to her back and her tail whipped around a little. She hadn't noticed that she had landed in the boys lap yet though so she was still baciacly in her full monster form with her horns and tail and wings as well as little fangs that she had.
