Personality:
Morgenstern, or "Morgen" (much to her displeasure), is certainly a girl you will only see one of. And, since she know she is unique, is not afraid to show it. Her typical attitude is one of an introvert, preferring to be alone, reading a book or with only a few of her friends.


No matter how much of an introvert she is, that shell is peeled off whenever she feels as if someone she cares about is in danger. (ESPECIALLY her brother, Ares. Her brother is the only relative that she has left with her at this point, and she's determined to protect him with her life). In this time, she becomes insanely violent. Her tongue becomes sharper and she seems to develop a feral instinct that makes her unafraid to tear her enemies apart.


She holds herself self with grace and poise, maintaining what she believeds the high standard of a proper meister is. She lives in the moment, not dwelling on the past unless she needs to. She pays no attention to people who have pointed out her flaws, much like the scars that cover her arms and legs, or the large one that cuts across the right side of her neck. Yes, it disappoints her that people feel the need to point it out, but she quickly gets over it.


She feels a great sense of pity towards people who believe that they are entitled. After all, the world is a cold and hard place. They fail to realize that once they reach the real world, everything will get worse for them. They'll have to fight, and won't have their parents to protect them.

There are some times when Morgenstern falls apart. Not including when her madness causes her to lose control, her most vulnerable state is in effect when she thinks of her past, which is actually quite often. Unless someone either talks her out of it or fucking slaps her, she tends to brood and dwell on her history, to the point where she is almost ALWAYS in a low point in her life.

It is because of this feeling that Morgenstern is externally hard and stern. She is not afraid to fight for what she believes in, and her personality is naturally one that tends to scare people off. However, the more she gets to know you, the calmer she gets, even though your head better be more level than hers, because she can make some pretty rash decisions.

She acts different around certain people. Those who have been with her the longest, that need to see her okay, receive the impression of a calm, happy teenage girl who is just living her life and doing what DWMA asks. But those that she really gets involved with, such as partners, see her darker side. They experience her low points, and can practically FEEL the dark and grieving aura emanating from her body.

Likes: Seeing as Morgenstern is an introvert, it is safe to say that she likes secluded areas where she can curl up in peace with a good book and a cup of warm tea. She loves cold environments, which is why her ideal living place is located in Russia. Her favorite color is black, and you will occasionally see her wearing it. She's not very girly, so she is most often seen rocking her favorite sweatpants. She also enjoys nature, spending time in forests and with animals, like her arctic fox Eidelweiss.

Dislikes: Morgenstern hates wearing dresses. It doesn't fit into her tomboyish nature, so she just doesn't do it. Makeup and boys? Not her favorite topic of discussion. She isn't a big fan of physical affection, and will usually shy away or punch you if you lay a hand on her without consent. She also dislikes overly bright colors such as yellow and pink.

Fears:
•Surprisingly, she's terrified of spiders. A few months ago, a tiny little garden spider crawled onto her homework and she screamed. Then, she made her brother kill it.
•She's afraid of being forgotten. Living in a world that's moving so quickly and having her jump from place to place, she's usually leaving behind many good friends. One of her greatest fears is that one day, when she returns, they will not remember who she is.
•Losing her family. Many people are afraid of death, but not Morgenstern. She could care less. Instead, she is afraid of her family's death, and knowing that she will one day see them die is too much for her.
Values: Morgenstern greatly values honesty. If someone is lying to her, and she finds out, that person will automatically lose her trust. She also values chivalry, loyalty, and trust. She believes the latter two are what true friendships and teams are built off of.

Strengths: Morgenstern is a very gifted fighter. She is strong and fast, and an expert tactician. She is a valuable team member with a strong will. She is also caring and kind, usually putting others above her.

Weaknesses: Her PTSD and Madness are easily exploited. After multiple accidents that occurred when she was younger, she was left with the disorder of PTSD. She has also turned into a total hardass because of this, and is the one to hold back those who are going to perform an impulse hunt that would not go well for the team.

Morgenstern's soul is very unique. It features a center blue soul, with soul fragments protruding from it, seemingly as ice it is very large, extending past her body, much like her Grandfather's.

ABILITIES

Forced Resonance: Morgenstern, once she gains a hold on a demon weapon, can use the sheer force of her soul and will to overcome that of any weapon, and force them into soul resonance. At this point in time, she can use this ability on any weapon she uses at one point in time. This exhausts her physically, and is usually used when she is on defense rather than offense.

Soul Menace: This is a hereditary trait, skipping her father's generation. Contrasting to the usual usage of a Demon Weapon to amplify one's Soul Wavelength to attack, Soul Menace is a attack which allows the user to strike their opponent by channeling their own Soul Wavelength without the usage of a weapon. This results in an electrical-like attack with powerful concussive force capable of even damaging a weapon in their weapon form. This technique can also be used underwater, which is more powerful to the point it's compared to shooting a laser from one hand if performed by a proficient user like Morgenstern and her father. The only negative side is that it can be counteracted by another if they are as proficient as her in using it, and it allows for another attack to be attempted on her.

Madness Overtaking : This is a self-discovered Ability. While young, Morgen discovered that she can use her own (rather large amount of) Madness to amplify the madness that lies in everyone, no matter how small. This, in turn, allows her to drive an opponent insane and use them to her ability. However, this ability is mentally and physically exhausting, as it lowers her mental stability for a time and is only used as an attack of last resort.


Madness Undertaking: This ability is also a self-discovered by Morgen. It is the exact opposite of Madness Overtakig. Rather than giving madness to a being, she can take it for a short amount of time to prevent a team-mate's madness from being exploited by an enemy. This, however, can have negative consequences as it has a possibility of driving her over the limit with her madness levels and can bring out a few rather murderous tendencies.


Soul Perception and Reading: Compared to her other skills, this ability is rather basic. Soul Perception and Reading allows her to see others' souls, and judge their personalities along with it. Not many meisters can read the soul, but she can thanks to her grandfather.

    Bio:
    Rodney's actually the youngest son of a family of renowned combatants, once closely associated with the DMWA and other various combative outlets across the world. From tacticians to battle-hardened soldiers, every man and woman in the Quinless bloodline acted as a great boon to whichever side they were on. With the horrors of war and battle etched into the very genes of this family, the explanation for how exactly Rodney was in anyway related to them would go on to become one of the world's great mysteries. Unlike nearly every single soldier birthed from his bloodline, Rodney seemed to retain his childlike state no matter how much he grew. At first his parents feared he'd suffered from some sort of brain disorder which stunted mental development, but oddly enough no medical expert could discover an explanation for his behavior.

    Without an excuse, Rodney's family quickly learned to hate him for his actions. He'd find increasingly creative methods to skip from training in order to go out making friends. His gluttonous eating habits would never allow him to have the picturesque body that one would expect of a warrior, despite his ever-growing belly never seeming to stunt his movement in anyway. He quickly became the black sheep off the family, and would bee viewed as a disappointment by all who shared his genes. Rodney's boundless optimism wouldn't allow him to feel bad about making his family angry, he'd go on to deepen that hate by throwing parties for relatives, giving small gifts and all-around missing the entire point of their dismissal.

    Then the war eventually came and, despite their sheer tenacity, it would proceed to claim the lives of nearly the entire Quinless family. All that was left were Rodney and his two older brothers, both baring different ideas for the direction they should go now as the sole owners of their family resources. Rodney's boundless optimism led him to the conclusion that this tragedy should be used to finally reconnect with the remaining family he had Despite the differences of the elder brothers, they could both agree on exiling their younger sibling from their home and disowning.

    Left without much clue as to what he should do, Rodney proceeded to live on his own for the next few months trying to make more friends. He would go on to make acquaintances in many places whilst keeping himself alive, his drive for constant friendship would eventually lead him to a nightclub where he would go on to befriend the club's DJ. She talked Rodney into becoming a bouncer for her club. It was through her that Rodney discovered he was actually fairly deadly, having nearly crippled the first foul-mannered attendant by accident and smashed another one through a door. Despite s hesitation at injuring potential friends, the DJ would eventually convince Rodney to use her and go out slaying monsters with her. Using his weakness for pleasing friends, she'd go on to use him for several years slaying monsters and such, until eventually she'd talk him into joining the DWMA by pointing out how many friends he could make there.


    Personality: Rod is extremely youthful for someone of his size and stature, acting like a jolly child for the most part. He's extremely optimistic to the point where he can spin almost any desperate situation into a positive experience in his own mind, as such its extremely difficult to dampen his mood in anyway.
    He's gluttonous indeed, and often carries large snacks with him wherever he goes.He's got this unusual obsession with friendship, where it drives him to make friends with as many people as he can and to be the best friend he can to them in the process. As unusual an obsession as it is, Rodney seems to consider it a divine rule what with how he goes about doing it. He will scour entire areas, and if he doesn't recognize someone he will immediately seek to make their acquaintance. Downside being that there's really no limit to who he will try to befriend, ultimately resulting in him trying to befriend even enemies in the heat of battle. Oddly enough, Rodney seems to follow his own very specific guidelines for handling friends, though not many would notice unless they'd spent enough time with him. This guideline is followed stringently, and may even lead the often lovable oaf to do things which many would never expect from him

    Soul: Rod's soul is green, and as plump as one would expect. Its fat cheeks often spread in the same excessively joyous smile which he always wears.

    Skills:
    Quinless Physiology- Despite not acting like it, Rodney still has the make-up of a Quinless. This provides him with the insane strength and durability one would expect from the family of warriors, and some suspect its what allows him to match other meisters in speed despite his size.

    Gluttonous Sod- Rodney's found himself capable of digesting various things, having trained his stomach from childhood to be near unrivaled in its ability to break down tougher materials. As such, Rodney is able to sate his hunger with random items if food is not immediately present. This may result in him gnawing on metal implements or even taking bites out of the architecture just to dampen his own unyielding hunger.

    Friendly Fellow- He's extremely companionable, to such a degree that it may be annoying at first for some. As its basically is his life long drive, Rod's become quite adept at befriending various people, and always delights the chance to learn new ways to make friends.

    Abilities:
    Optimistic Overseer- Rodney's sheer amount of optimism is so dense that it actually becomes a force in and of its own, when nearby it can reduce negative feelings in those around him, substituting them for a bit of the big guy's unending positivity.

    Final Depression- Rodney's optimism can also work in the reverse as well, though rare. In the unlikely event that somehow his positive mood is shattered, Rod will unknowingly begin siphoning positive emotions from those around him in order to reinvigorate himself.

    Weaknesses:
    Friendly Guy- Rod's determination to befriend others will often leave him holding back, Rod will attempt to spare most people and may even attempt to befriend them. As one might think, this often times leaves him open for betrayal.

    Untrained- don't expect tactics or advanced move styles from this guy, Rodney has quite a medieval manner of combat, which despite still being effective makes him less-versed on the battlefield.

    Big Guy- His sheer size makes him an easy target, and coupled with his loud and cheery personality makes him more of a liability if stealth is required.

    A Friendly System- Rodney's nonspecific system for deffering to friends is something he believes in whole-heartedly, to a flaw. Even if it may lead him to peril, and even if he knows it will, he will still follow it through.

    Biyu is a young woman of a significant tall figure, with a fit and well-built shape to it, most notably around the areas of her abdomen, shoulders, arms and arms. She has been told to have a pair of curvy legs, often accompanied with the word "nice" to the comment if the subject is bold enough to describe them that way. It is covered with scars from her past, some more noticeable and bigger than others, most of the time covered underneath her clothing. Maya is known as the silent samurai for a few reasons but most would guess the most obvious reason would be her lack of verbal communication. She doesn't speak very much and when she does, she sounds quiet, detached, and soft spoken. Her mind always seems to be elsewhere even if she's giving you her full attention. When it comes down to fighting and training, she's all business, completing each action without protest and consistently. In order to figure Maya out it would be easier to watch her rather than hear it from her. She gives a lot away with her eyes and actions. If she loves something or someone her eyes will light up like stars even if her expression doesn't change. Her tears are silent and her anger burns embers in the depths of her golden irises.

Maya is quick to her attach herself to others, especially those she likes a bit more. When she cares about someone she'll do whatever they ask without hesitation. She likes to see them happy and well and will do whatever it takes to make them that way, even if her ways may sometimes be eccentric. She's protective like a mother bear over these people and would step in the line of harm in order to prevent it from being dealt upon anyone she cares about.

Maya tends to be curious, often exploring things she doesn't understand in order to better understand them. More often than not Maya has unintentionally eavesdropped or trespassed without thinking. When Maya is wrong she'll admit it straight away and apologize. Her manners are pretty well considering her past and she's humbled and sweetened despite all of it.

H I S T O R Y
Maya didn't always used to be this quiet, introverted person. There was a time when she was aware, energetic, and quick to proclaim how she was feeling. Everything changed when she hit ten. Ever since Maya could remember, her mother had been sickly and weak. As far as she knew, her mother had always been like that. Despite that, however, the woman was loving and adored her child dearly. Maya's father tended to work a lot and remained distant but he was happy with his family of three. When Maya was ten, her mother caught a particular illness that she never quite got over. Eventually she became too weak and her fragile heart, faint as it was, stopped beating in the middle of the night.

The following day, everything shattered. The mother who had always taken care of her was gone. And her father was not happy. It was then the awful truth came out, slurred from intoxication the following evening and paired with a look of blackened hatred in his eyes, her father proclaimed that Maya's mother was dead because of her. Ever since she had been born, her mother had never been the same. There were complications with the birth and she had been weak and ill ever since. And Maya believed him. She hated herself for living because her mother couldn't. She hated herself for existing, for taking advantage of life while her mother had struggled to hold on. And she hated herself for making her father hate her so much.

She had originally decided to make it up to him. She worked harder in school and improved her skills in hopes of impressing him and making him proud. That was originally when she took up the sword and perfected her physical abilities. Every day after in the evening, Maya was kneel outside her father's door and apologize. Every day he would proclaim his hatred and send her away. Every day she would come back, with news of things she hoped would appease him and do the same. And so would he. This went on for six years before he himself grew ill and passed away. When Maya was alone was really when she shut down. For a year after she ruminated on self loathing and self hatred of things she could have done, should have done, and never had the chance to do. Finally, she decided, there had to be a way to either distract herself or make up for the wrong that she did. And that was how she found herself a Meister.

Weaknesses

- Maya is evasive for a reason. A few good hits and she's done. Her stature is made for speed and dodging, meaning she's a bit fragile than most and can't take as many hits before she's out of the fight.

- Gullible. Maya isn't exactly a ditz, but she tends to be a bit spacey and the gap between thoughts and awareness is a bit vaster for her than most. It's simply how she is and why she seems so airy. It's a good thing she's quick, because there have been plenty of times it's been a quick recovery that's saved her after a foolish mistake.

- Clumsy. Maya is both spatially aware and not at the same time. One moment she's about to trip and fall off a balcony. The next she's dipping to catch a tray of falling cups. Perhaps a better term for this weakness would be her unpredictability.

- Immune System. If there's a germ in the air carrying the common cold you had better believe Maya will get sick. Her immune system has always been poor and she's always getting sick. Her wounds take longer to heal and she's more likely to get an infection.


Skills

Stealthy - Maya is considered silent for more than just her lack of verbal communication. Preferring to attack her enemy in surprise, Maya sticks to the shadows until ready to strike and is so adapted to it, she practically melds in with them. It's probably the skill she prides herself most in. If she doesn't want to be noticed, odds are she won't be.

Steely Calm - It's important, especially when sticking to the element of surprise, to remain calm for numerous reasons whether it be to stay quiet, to move fluidly, or to strategize attacks and defense stances in the midst of a fight.

Fast - Maya's speed could win awards in any track competition. It isn't necessarily that she's a good runner but her reflexes are incredible and she has good moments through short bursts. Her stamina is only good if she doesn't put everything she has into it all at once.

Stamina - Speaking of Stamina, Maya's dodging and reflex capabilities have a lot to do with her stamina there. Her damage isn't usually that great and she doesn't pack too much punch with each strike so her skills rely on outlasting the enemy. A thousand cuts and no energy and you're as good as struck down with one big blow.


Nimble - Flexibility and ergonomics are important for an evasive fighter. Maya can move in many ways, some in which might cause someone to compare her to a pretzel, although she only really uses these skills to full potential when fighting.

Hand to Hand - Sometimes a nimble fighter requires a little extra training in case they lose their weapon mid fight. To be fair, Maya found it vital that she was prepared for anything anyway. When it comes to grappling and evasive attacks, Maya could certainly teach someone a thing or two.

Soul Menace - The ability to project one's soul wavelength directly onto another through physical contact... Or something like that. Maya definitely has potential but she needs training. When she manages to do it right, it usually takes a lot out of her.

Soul Perception - The ability to gauge one's soul. Whereas most people with this ability see them visually, strangely, Maya tastes them differently. A good soul is kind of like wine. It will leave her with a rich, fruity taste if it's anything impressive and usually the bad ones are tart like poorly made lemonade.

Soul Perception is a Meister-exclusive ability in which relates to the ability to perceive soul. While Conor has far from perfected this ability, his usage of it is more well-developed than most other One-Star Meisters. Furthermore, Conor has a unique attribute to his Soul Perception. His perception is most clear in an eight meter area around him. The clarity of his close-range perception allows him to even sense fluctuations in a Soul Wavelength and has aided him in developing his other abilities. The drawback is a drastic limitation in his long-range Perception. Described as 'fuzzy' and primarily only useful for differentiating Witches from Humans, his long-range perception is all but useless due to his specialization.

Soul Force is an advanced Meister-exclusive attack in which users attack with their Soul Wavelength. Conor has found himself utilizing this ability due to his Strong Soul, intense training and close-range Soul Perception. Considered the keystone to his stance as a weaponless Meister, the use of Soul Force allows Conor to fight alongside Meister-Weapon partners on equal footing.

Soul Force: Gauntlet is a variation of Soul Force that solidifies the user's wavelength into a tangible barrier capable of blocking or deflecting powerful blows. Conor created this ability to amplify his defense when the need arises alongside the need for low-level training techniques. This technique can block multiple attacks from enhanced Weapon-Meister partners before shattering, but cannot hold up to amplified techniques in its current state. While a hand is coated with a 'gauntlet', it cannot discharge a Soul Force empowered attack.

Soul Force: Static is a variation of Soul Force that coats body parts in contact with a surface to allow the user to adhere to the surface temporarily. This technique was the precursor to Soul Force: Gauntlet and is primarily a supportive ability. Its soul purpose was to prove Conor could manipulate his Wavelength in a way that allowed him to perform feats others could not. In this case, sticking to walls or ceilings.

Hand-to-Hand Combat is effectively the only means that Conor can fight. As of now, Conor has a heavy focus and idolization of Bruce Lee. This has lead him to learning elements of Jeet Kune Do and Wing Chun, however, his primary fighting style uses Chinese Kung-Fu and various boxing techniques. As one might expect from a fourteen year old, his fighting style is far from perfected and primarily modeled after what he perceives as the 'greatest ever' martial artist.

Strong Physique is what Conor is known for. After learning how to channel his Wavelength at the DWMA, he found that doing so passively can amplify his body. Due to his focus on himself and only himself in training, his body has adapted to using its Wavelength for itself, thus making him stronger, faster and more resilient than most other Meisters at his level.








Biography
Conor has been part of the DWMA long before he decided to become a Meister. At age eight, Conor was saved by DWMA agents from a monster called the Leperkahn. The monster was attracted to his Strong Soul which had gone overlooked by others until this point. At this time, Conor was part of child protective services to begin with and the DWMA decided it was unsafe to have him in the public, so he was handed off to them and put into their protective custody.

Prior to being taken in by the DWMA, Conor was effectively an orphan. He had spent most of his young life bouncing between foster homes, primarily due to his short temper and outbursts. His father was the victim of a drunk driver and his mother a mental breakdown. While she is still alive, she is currently in a New York State Institution for Mental Health and has been since her psychotic break. Conor never coped with these facts well growing up, but he was a bright kid. A read-headed star with brilliant blue eyes plenty of parents loved.

It was his attitude that ultimately left him alone. There was a reason for it, though. Conor never wanted to rely on others or be taken in by a new family. After the loss of his parents, he became attached to his friends in the first state ward for children he was placed in. Over and over, his heart was chipped away at seeing them leave, or stay, or even worse... when he had to leave them. At this age, he was moved around a lot in hopes that being around for more visitations with potential parents would result in adoption. While the tactic worked, it severed any comfort Conor ever had and lead to elements of Avoidant Personality Disorder. His behavior was chalked up to a Conduct Disorder brought on by his trauma.

If not for the DWMA, Conor might have just been another child lost in the system. Instead, the DWMA put him into a special protective services of the organization. There, he was allowed to be 'alone', but went to group therapies and had a personal councilor that helped work out his problems. Conor was never 'cured', not likely will ever be, but he became at least mildly more cooperative. The next big turn in his life came around the age of eleven when he began to display signs of Soul Perception early. An incredibly rare occurrence, but for a child with trauma and a Strong Soul, it made sense.

Conor was given a chance to join the DWMA classes a year early as an NOT student as to learn how to control his latent abilities. This treatment was used most often for children with the weapon gene that just wanted to live a normal life, but the principle was the same for Conor. Randomly seeing Souls or feeling the presence of others was quite troubling for an already troubled child. What was unexpected is how well he took to the school. After his first year of NOT, he requested to stay and become EAT. This is when he was confronted with reality...

...to become an EAT student, he would need to pair up with a partner. Conor rejected this entirely. He didn't 'need' anyone and he intended to prove it. Through rigorous studying and practice, Conor was able to perform the Soul Force, although dangerously uncontrolled, before age thirteen. At this point, it was considered more dangerous to refuse him further training than it did to just see how far he could go. It was no surprise that with his ambition and latent potential due to his soul, he tested into EAT and became a fairly prominent student. Never less than the top ten and only ever failing certain group studies or projects that required a partner.

Conor spent his next year in EAT, proving his ability as a One-Star Meister. Now fourteen, Conor has proven repeatedly that he can keep up to par with Meisters his age and rank if not surpass most of them, earning him a One-Star Elite Rank. While Conor is known to cause many problems, he is also known to solve them fairly quick. There is a lot of animosity aimed at him, primarily due to him being a 'Weaponless Meister'; and, quite frankly, he prefers it that way. Conor is exactly where he wants to be, proving he doesn't 'need' anyone.

Prima is probably the kindest person one will ever meet. She'd give someone the last of her food, the clothes off her back, and any money she had if it would make them happy and if they needed it. Her heart is golden and she rarely ever thinks of herself. The very idea of selfishness is lost on her and she doesn't quite understand it sometimes. It confuses her and is also one of her faults. Her selflessness is a double edged blade that is both one of her best qualities and her bane. She wants to help others and wants to trust people even if she can't or shouldn't.

Prima tends to be highly positive, a person whose glass isn't half full but overflowing. Everything has a silver lining, even if she can't find exactly what it is right away, she's certain that it exists. She loves to be around others, talk to them, and share their company. Prima seemingly lives for others whether it be to help them or simply because they make her happy. Loneliness affects her pretty drastically and being alone for too long will make her antsy and restless.

While Prima is kind and sensitive to others feelings, it won't stop her from her duty at the academy. In fact fighting others is one of the rare if not only times she can put aside her sheer kindness and instead prioritize fighting for what she believes is right. Prima has a good idea of reminding herself of the bigger picture and what's going to be important later on. It helps her make smarter and better decisions when she can take a step back and look at everything which has caused others more than once to ask her for her advice. Prima is actually pretty book smart, acing educational subjects like mathematics, literature, and sciences. Anything that can be studied, you can expect Prima to be good at.

Contrary to all of that, decisions not made in the best interest of morals or the academy are incredibly hindered by her selflessness. If faced with decisions, even as simple as what to eat or what to do, Prima will always be okay with whatever would make others happy rather than herself. If someone were to use her selfless to their advantage, it would be cake to manipulate her. Prima tends to apologize a lot, even if she doesn't exactly need to. Other people's feelings are her top priority.

When it comes to everyday Prima, you can expect that she dresses a little eccentrically, in pretty dresses and well, frankly in a style that just screams "witch". People have joked about it before, but it seems a little too obvious if "Prima happened to even be a witch". Normally nothing is ever out of place. She's usually clean, smells nice, and is prim and proper. Her manners are pretty astound, especially for a teenager. She spends her free time usually dancing, reading fantasy novels, or socializing with the other students. She prefers to cook everything she eats, like bringing food from home rather than buying from the cafeteria, and will usually have snacks and homemade treats on hand, in hopes of sharing with others. She makes it a habit to learn everyone's name and a little about them. She cares about each person individually.

Love can be overpowering. It can hinder people, like an anchor or like a blade hanging over one's head. It can leach from people, stealing either happiness or despair, until there's nothing left. It can lift people into the sky and drop them to the ground. It's love.

Love is what brought a weapon named Kalin and a witch named Astra together. Kalin was fairly young when he first met Astra. He was a boy in the EAT program, insisting on being autonomous and from the very day he came to DWMA, proclaimed he'd make himself a Death Scythe. His attitude was a little erratic and he tended to come off as egotistical and arrogant, although nobody could argue that he wasn't generous and kind to his fellow students and comrades. He was loud. obnoxious, and spirited. It wasn't long when instead of people chuckling at his proclamations, they cheered him on. After a couple years, just about everyone in school knew the name "Kalin" and he had a lot of friends.

Sooner than he realized, the day came when he had collected 99 kishin souls... All that was left was a witch. Her name was Astra and she specialized in "trickery magic". It was important that he kept a level head about him. Kalin went to Astra's home and had planned something of an assassination, opting to sneak and surprise her. When he found her in her garden, singing and tending to the plants, he found himself wondering if she was even the witch he was after. And then, the realization that he even had to ask. Witches were supposed to be vile creatures, bent on destruction and chaos, the very things they lived for. When one found a witch, it shouldn't even be a question if they were that... Suddenly she stopped singing and turned to look at him. Kalin realized he must have brushed up against something or made a sound and the two met each other's gaze. Her golden eyes, each orb shimmering as though a star was plucked from the sky for each eye and set in her face, bore into his own gray slate eyes. His face flushed and he immediately fled.

The next day, Kalin convinced himself he had to get over how normal she may appear and end this. One more soul was all it took and he'd finally complete his goal... Albeit one witch soul, it was just one more. He had to do this. When he tried again to sneak up on her, he found her sitting in her garden, apparently waiting for something. Kalin, with fingers turned each into razors and bent, ready to strike, he carefully made his way behind her, his eyes fixated on the back of her head and her short cropped silver hair. When he was only a foot away, hand raised to attack, he faltered... and she spoke.
"Go ahead. Please, make it quick."

Kalin lowered his hand, confused. Weren't witches supposed to fight, use magic, fling pumpkins? Did she not value her own life?

"This is it, isn't it? A student of the academy? One witch soul left, maybe? It's okay... If it comes to it, I'm proud to be the last step to making you a Death Scythe."

Astra turned then and smiled at him, her eyes filled with content and sorrow. She didn't make any move to attack. Kalin, who had been suspicious at first, finally relaxed his stance.

"I'm no executioner... Why don't you fight back?" Kalin said roughly, not really sure how to deal with this.

"My magic was never made to attack, kill, or destroy cities... It's pretty and maybe a little scary to some... But I won't hurt anyone... I'm still a witch though and you're a weapon on your way to great things..."

Astra stood from the chair and moved over to stand in front of Kalin and then, waited.

"I don't want to kill you."

"Please? If you don't, I'm sure some other weapon and meister duo will come and they probably won't listen to anything I have to say. At least I know that you had a kind heart and an open mind."

Kalin sighed and then shook his head. "It's not really fair is it?"

"I don't really have any right to say what is fair and what isn't. I'm just a lonely witch, after all."

"Witches aren't really like this though..."

"No, they're not. And students from the academy... they aren't all like you are they?"

Kalin, instead of returning to the academy for some time, had decided to stick around and protect Astra for a while. Every day he came and they spoke and he left. He didn't have to go back to the academy right away. Sometimes missions took weeks after all. Somewhere along the way, it went from Kalin visiting to Kalin staying in her home and the two grew to love each other. Kalin loved her gentle heart and lulling voice. Astra loved his open mind and protective and caring nature. The academy eventually deemed Kalin dead when he never returned and the team that went to Astra's home confirmed it when they found it empty and abandoned.

In truth, Kalin and Astra fled and had moved about from place to place ever since, leaving peaceful lives together. If anyone found out about their union they wouldn't be safe from witches or DWMA. Their union eventually led to a small child with a soft face, white hair and golden eyes. She resembled her mother in every way and the couple loved their child. After the baby was born, Astra swore off any use of magic unless absolutely necessary to protect their child. Not only did it draw attention but if anyone knew, even Nearly herself, that she was a witch, she wouldn't be safe. Thankfully in her adolescent age, Nearly began showing signs of a weapon gene inside of her. Not too long after the couple sent her to DWMA where they figured she would be the most safe. They tended to call her their little Prima Ballerina.

Prima hasn't seen or heard from her parents since she was fourteen. She looks back upon the memories with a sweet content and never has been upset by their absence. What Prima never found out, however, was that a weapon and meister duo had stumbled upon the couple and slain the witch, taking the soul for themselves. Prima's father, Kalin was left to wander for a while, brokenhearted and trying to come to terms with the world and its lack of love.

- Arc Slashes; Much like the energy from soul resonance during Witch Hunter, Prima has a much less lethal and smaller power that allows her to slash her fans and produce an arc of energy from then. This saps energy from her very soul and can't be used for high prolonged periods of time.
- Eclipse; A magical move, Prima expands and stretches her soul to fill an area. Somewhat like the properties of matter, if the room she was in was small, it would fill its container and only its container. If out in the open, it does have a limit and will appear like a large dome. Inside, it appears as though the occupants are in the void of space. There is no escaping unless you incapacitate her or she chooses it. It serves as a one way mirror. Nobody can see from the inside, out but anyone could see inside and could enter, although as soon as they were to enter, the same rules would apply as they are now an occupant. It's a closed space, seemingly, from the inside.

- Heavy Hits; Prima prides herself on her reflexes and quick motions. Heavy weapons are the most dangerous to her because a few good hits could take her out.
- Close Range; Prima is a primarily a close range fighter and has to be very close in hopes of slicing someone up with just her fans. She can't use her abilities forever.
- Defense; Prima can't stop too many weapons with her fans so she either has to dodge the attack or take the hit. The only things her fans serve to absorb damage from or deflect is bullets and projectiles.

Ikki stands about 5 feet and 7 inches tall, he appears to be underweight as he doesn't eat much even if he does he'll end up lose weight afterwards. Ikki displays some feminine, and young facial features, as his body seem to resemble a women's body. Ikki has light Brown round eyes, and long dark red hair that is kept in a bun.
For his wardrobe he wears a shirt that contains only one sleeve that is his right side, the shirt reveals most of his stomach. He also wears something that resembles a red dress. His thighs are rather shown as the rest of his lower body is protected with his dress. Ikki wears two bandages on both of his legs due to recent leg injuries.

Bio:
Ikki was found in the dumbs of death city, as he was abandon by his mother a human when he was only 10 years old. During the lonesome hours he spent stealing, and developing fear among others in the small parts of the city. When he was captured by a man who was protecting a witch, He to can detect a sinister soul wavelength coming from ikki. He was just a child so the male spears his life, much how mifune did to black star once. The gang agreed to let ikki go, as he didn't seem to worth much value despite having a witches soul.

Ikki wasn't a full developt witch. Not even a full blood, as he was born upon a human that was his mother. He wasn't aware of his father as he's been gone before he turn 9. When ikki turn 12, he wanted to be apart of the gang because he had no where else to go. He was then interrupted with a sudden voice that sounded like his father. This exited him, however his mood changed with sudden disappointment, ending up killing half of the mafia leaving the male, and the witch. Before the male could strike him, he was soon saved by his father and took him under his wing.

After adjusting to his father, he decided to want to learn more which his father undoubtedly agreed to those terms. When he turned 14 his father told him about the academy, however he declined the offer because he didn't like how they manage things. His father showed a darker side of him in the means to turn ikki answer into a yes, which like wise that happened. So that concluded, ikki had spent many times under the academy supervision from then to becoming a crescent moon rank student.

Personality:
Being born from nothing, ikki can get jealous and bitter when he's being compared to someone with a better life then him. He dislikes others using his personal life as a way to attack him, which he finds it rather weak for people to use personal information to bind them. As a street rat he was a thief, and very cocky often getting him into trouble. As seen when he ended up on the mafia terf, after slaughtering the mafia anyone resembles a connection with them is seen as ikki enemy. Ikki is very knowledgeable with acting, as to how he displayed utter suffering, and cold begging to be with the mafia. He never really cared where he go, and what situation he ended up in.

Ikki is a narcissistic person filled with confidence, which developed giving ikki a negative aura around him. Some thought he was a witch, others underestimated him and thought of as a rejected witch, but in all actuality he wasn't born as a witch to begin with. However his witch half is more strong than the human traits he as, he can utilize magic quite well thanks to his father teaching. Being under the son of a witch, he believes dominance and power is everything.

Ikki doesn't favor trying to get a relationship due to his dark sense of humor which other finds it very creepy. He'll say you're cute and say "You can rule the world with an attractive face, and throw away the ugly beast that stands on this world. Have people praise you, and worship you with your divine looks." Or if he's complimenting on their outfit. "You look as sharp as a sword that can deeply cut through a victims flesh." Which comes to say he's a sadist, and masochist.

As his many years in the academy he did show some sympathy, and kindness to a certain degree. He still shows caution to these new friendly feelings until they use it for granted. He is still seen somewhat crazy when displaying dark sense of humor. When ikki became a half moon student he displayed a calm demeanor when he wants to. He still show frustration and, anger whenever he fails to achieve something which will lead to rage and alternate to his old personality.

His soul resembles the same color as a witches soul, just like Blair. He is a witch but not a full blooded one due to having human traits inherited from his mother.

Skills

Acrobatic - Being small with an average height can mean something for ikki. He tricks, and body movement can get him out in whatever situation he lands in.

Agility - Do to his size he has quite the advantage towards anyone bigger than him who rely on strength. He can tire out his bigger opponents rather quickly.

Stamina management - As a half witch and human he is taught the important part of stamina management, as some witches are smart enough to control how much stamina they use if they're either using spells or moving a lot to avoid attacks.


Abilities​
Dark Divine Blade - This technique was taken under the use of magic, as ikki forms are dark pinkish purple which is a form of a blade on his right hand. The blade can take away the energy of other life force, and use it against them. If use during soul resonance the length of the blade becomes twice it's normal size.


Chain manipulation - With the use of his magic. Ikki can use chains in any shape, and form he can use it for offense, defense or, use it for trapping.

Dark Divine Scythe - Just like his dark divine blade except this one he can't drain any life source with it. The scythe has pink, and purple hue it is the same length, and shape like any other scythe. Once swung, it shoots out a dark purple wave of negative energy.






Weaknesses:

Do to his small body, he suffers greater weakness against people bigger than him. If he slips up, he'll have to pay for it.

Ikki can get easily angered, as he doesn't know how to control his emotions yet. Letting it get the best of him in due time.

Ikki isn't very well in the dark, and doesn't have much of a good vision.

If in his soul resonance for too long his personality changes in a wicked, and unstable manner. Becoming too dangerous for his own good, and will eventually break his body.​

Shape-shifting Before Eros became a Witch-Human Hybrid, he possessed the Weapon Gene and his weapon form was a spear. He has since lost the ability to shift into a weapon. With his new magic, Eros can shape-shift to appear as any human male or change particular physical traits of his--such as his eyes.

Soul Protect A common Magical technique that allows the user to conceal their Soul. Eros can take this ability a step further by choosing to express only the Human half of his soul, resulting in him appearing human. Only Super Soul Perception or otherwise extraordinary Soul Perception can see past this.

Enchanter Eros is an Enchanter. Utilizing a pair of white Enchanting gloves that possess golden gears and silver creases, Eros is capable of creating Golems. Eros is capable of controlling multiple Clay Puppets, but can also use substances such as sand or snow. Eros can also utilize this ability to bring Marble Sculptures to life with far more accuracy. Unlike Clay Puppets or recreations of himself, Marble Sculptures possess their own 'fake soul' created by injecting a part of himself each time Eros chisels away at a Marble blank. These Sculptures are lifelike and can even perform feats such as Soul Resonance. Marble Sculptures are entirely under the control of Eros and he can only control one-at-a-time. If Eros for any reason discontinues controlling a Marble Sculpture, they will gain free will (unless he places his hand upon them), however, their Soul will eventually fade as it cannot be sustained without Eros' magic.

Madness Wavelength Eros possesses the Madness of Desire. Eros' Madness is not a passive Madness like that of Lord Death nor is it an incredibly powerful Aura akin to Asura. Instead, it is notably weaker (in part due to not being a Shinigami like either of the aforementioned) and can be suppressed or harnessed. Eros uses his Magical talents to manipulate his Madness, resulting in a specific and powerful type of Magic that has a powerful influence on others as opposed to a powerful Madness or truly offensive Magic.

Desire Magic Eros' magic is centered primarily around his Madness of Desire. He can emit an aura that increases the impulses and urges of others--potentially weakening their resistance to other forms of Madness. Because Eros magic is directly tied to a Madness, it is not as easily restrained as some others. As long as desire exists inside any living being, Eros can utilize his magic on them. Eros can 'read' individuals to find out their latent desires and begin empowering them, in some cases literally granting them increased physical capabilities while indulging in their desires. Eros can give an individual immense euphoria or anxiety for indulging in their desires, giving him an immense ability to manipulate others. Uniquely, the effects of Eros' magic can persist for weeks to months after exposure, albeit in a weaker state.

The second facet to Eros' magic is a particular focus on two opposite, yet notably powerful Desires: Lust and Vengeance. At heart, Eros' is a scorned lover with a taste for vengeance. Because of this, his own desires manifest strongly as Vengeance. While Eros' other abilities are centered around manipulating the desires of others, he can also begin flooding their mind with ideas and urges of Vengeance. This differs in that these feelings may not have entirely been there originally. Eros can use this same ability set to a lesser degree using Lust. Just as Eros was a being of Vengeance, he spent a period of his life attempting to fill the void left behind with shallow Lust--and now uses that as his weapon.

Aura of Impulse allows Eros to amplify the desires and urges of all those around him to various degrees. If left unchecked, this ability can literally cause rioting. This ability grows stronger as people indulges in their urges and even more so as more people continue to, also increasing in range.

Eyes of Aphrodite is a passive ability that grants Eros' his trademark yellow eyes. Eros can see the greatest desires and urges of people. On further inspection, he can find their deepest, darkest desires and even their desires regarding others.

Seed of Desire Eros can plant a 'seed' in the form of his magic that will imbue whomever he touches with the Madness of Desire. At first, the Madness and seed will be weak, but once it sprouts, it will begin to feed off the hosts' desires while simultaneously making them greater. Eros can make this effect greater by planting the seed with a specific desire in mind, specifically (a) using a desire read with his eyes (b) selecting an existing grudge that individual possesses or (c) selecting an existing crush or lustful thought that individual possesses. Additionally, as the seed and thus desire grows stronger, the individual will gain a boost to their strength and power. If allowed to mature, the Seed will push an individual to a state of Madness.

Flames of Desire is an ability that is empowered by the strength of Desire around him. As those around him give in to their Madness, Eros can utilize more of these flames, have them burn hotter and even longer. When Eros is the only individual in his vicinity affected by the Madness of Desire, the Flames are exclusive to the size of a fireball and could sear skin accordingly. In the worst case scenario that Eros has an entire city devolved into depravity due to the Madness of Desire, the flames could potentially even consume Lord Death.

Arrows of Desire Eros is capable of conjuring a standard bow of red oak and furthermore conjure red, neon arrows that leave behind a pink trail. Each arrow fires considerably faster than an actual arrow, closer to the speed of a .38 standard. These arrows can be used either offensively or for utility purposes. Eros can imbue an arrow with the Flames of Desire or a Seed of Desire. Flaming Arrows have the same strength as if he were manipulating them, however, travel considerably faster. Seeded Arrows allow Eros the chance to implant a Seed of Desire without physical contact and in doing so hasten their effects.​

Weakness

Eros is not a close-range fighter by any means--nor honestly a fighter at all. In combat, he often uses a myriad of Clay Puppets to distract enemies while firing on them with Arrows of Desire. If forced into combat, Eros has a single goal: push his Madness to its furthest limit to amplify his Flames of Desire as that is his only true offensive capability--even his arrows are dependent upon it. In that sense, Eros' greatest weakness is that his strength is self-limiting. His strength is not determined by an internal factor, but by the desires of those around him and how well he has cultivated them. Because of this, Eros often plays the 'Long game' by infecting others with his Madness to let it build slowly.









Biography

Eros was not always the Mad, magical being he is today. At one point, he was a Demon Weapon in the DWMA. Although, Ethan was always a problem child. Not that he had poor grades or started fights directly, but more so that he enjoyed attention. Well, not just attention... particularly attention from his female classmates. The pretty ones. The preppy ones. The ones half the class liked. And, quite frankly, Ethan was good at getting it. Few girls escaped his wily charms even when his reputation would have burned the chances of others to sweet cinders; and, his reputation spread like wildfire.

As a weapon, Ethan performed up to par. He paired with a Meister named Darryl and made it to Two-Star Elite, having consumed 43 Kishin-Eggs and working his way up. Despite that, he was nothing special. Charismatic? Sure. He was far from a leader, however. He was too impulsive and flirtatious for that. In fact, the only time he excelled on a team was when it was specifically crafted to be all-male.

One might call his time at the DWMA mediocre. That didn't matter for long. Not long after gaining new freedoms from reaching Two-Star status with Darryl, the real excitement began. Ethan and Darryl began performing better and better, but primarily because their success lead to more successes for Ethan with his romantic interests. More to brag about. Darryl always attempted to keep him grounded; Darryl came from a small town in Tennessee and absolutely hated how Ethan treated women and his general lascivious demeanor.

What he couldn't deny is their raw spike in power since Ethan gained new ambition. One might argue that Darryl was just as much at fault for giving in to the new power they had. In the end, Ethan was the one to make the decision, however. A decision on one of their later missions hunting a Witch. The thing about Witches, however, is that they were... well... female. Not that the duo had never seen one before--in fact, they had encountered them in the past. This one was different.

This one was gorgeous.

Something about her stirred up Ethan. Something deep inside him. Not just her beauty, but the hunt. The duo tracked her from Philadelphia all the way down the coast to Florida and every step of the way, the two saw where she just was. Always some beautiful location even in the middle of nowhere--away from all the coastal cities or highways. Darryl had no idea. No idea what was coming...

The two finally caught up to her and cornered her. On a beach in Florida right as the moon was cresting. They fought. Danced, really. Despite how talented the two were, they couldn't land a blow on her. She was hardly strong enough to fight them, either. She was a newly renegade Witch, defected from the Order and allied with a coven of other rogues. Alone? Alone she didn't compare to them. All she could do was run. Dodge. Dance.

And, dance she did. Despite being mid-battle, Ethan was completely captured by how she moved. She was Avian in nature. She moved with the wind. Her magic had few offensive traits; a veil of dove feathers that blocked their way, bursts of wind to blow them back, but nothing strong enough to fight. But, she was so nimble. Her bright, blue hair seemed to float in the air--defying gravity. Defying all logic. She thought she was fighting for her life and Ethan still found her beautiful despite the circumstance. Even in terror, she was adorable.

She was losing. She cried out. With tears, she said it didn't have to be this way. She told them it wasn't fair. It wasn't fair to give them all these rules--these Witches--and expect them to live a certain way when Magic was so enthralling. Obviously, she was a victim of the Pull of Magic, but Ethan didn't care. She won him over. She touched that fickle part of his soul--that part that always had him doing precisely what he wanted to. Nothing less.

Ethan reverted to his normal form and left Darryl on that sandy shoreline. He betrayed his friend. His partner. The entire DWMA. Ethan left it all... for a Witch named Ophelia.

The two became a powerful duo. Ophelia learned how to use Ethan, but Ethan also learned about her lifestyle. She was frivolous. She was sinful. She did whatever she wanted. Sometimes that included killing random people. Sometimes, that was using her Magic to glide down the slopes of the Sierra Mountains before hitting up the clubs of Los Angeles. Sometimes it was a late night on a beach. Sometimes, it was a sunset after a long night. Sometimes, it was that long night together using every surface in whatever house they broke into for their own lewd desires.

Ethan gave her everything and she him. There were no limits for them. Ethan even crossed the ultimate line and consumed the souls of the innocent. It gave him power spikes like no Kishin Egg had before and he could do them back-to-back, just kill a dozen people and he could eat those souls right in a row. It was exhilarating. And, Ophelia? She found her ecstasy in seeing Ethan shed off his old bondage. There was no part of Ethan left that was chained to the DWMA. None.

It was this exact behavior that became their downfall, however.

Ophelia was part of a coven of rogue Witches that was now being hunted like few other threats in the continental United States. Their entire coven was the target of the DWMA and the Wicken Council. What they were doing just wasn't acceptable. So their Coven... lured them into a trap.

Even together, the two could not fight five other mature Witches. They tried, but Ophelia was never powerful to begin with. She was the first to die. Ethan would have likely been next, but something broke in him. Something broke in seeing his Ophelia die. They had spent the last year of their life together. Lovers. Before that, Ethan was casually in and out of relationships or having hook-ups with others at the DWMA on a weekly basis. His phone was always exploding with texts. Sometimes, it was so abundant it was boring.

But this last year? All he wanted was that one girl. She was his world. Sure, they abused a lot. Stole a lot. Hurt people. Killed people. Broke the greatest taboos in both of their respective cultures. But, Ethan fucking loved her. Seeing her die just broke everything in him. His desire shifted to one thing. Just one thing...

Vengeance.

Ethan was consumed by the Madness of his desire. His very soul, corrupted to begin with, began changing. With one arm shifted as the head of his spear and the rest of his body a monster of rage and vengeance, he tore through the Witches that just a moment prior were overpowering him. Soon, they felt the first touch of his Wavelength. A Madness Wavelength. An aura of desire. They began feeding him, making him more powerful. It only became worse when he killed them. Each new soul made him even more powerful, regardless of what it was from. And, all of them contained some level of magic. Soon enough, back-up came, but it didn't matter. The first five Witches were killed in the frenzy and the next dozen were, too.

In the end, there was just one soul left. The soul of Ophelia. Ethan had consumed all others. But for Ophelia? He just held her Soul in his hands. It was a corrupted little thing--just like his was. It was tiny. Fragile. It was the last he had of her. For a while, it was all he could focus on. And, ultimately, it was the catalyst for his change. While his body remained human, his Soul turned into a twisted amalgamation of a Human and Witch with every ounce of corruption one could find in a Kishin. Thing is, he wasn't. He wasn't a Kishin. He wasn't Ethan. He tried to eat her Soul, too, so it would never leave him, but he couldn't.

Ethan died that day. Eros was born. Eros, a being a step under a Kishin, but without the raw power or wavelength. Maybe, if Ethan had ate a few more souls, Eros would have been a real Kishin. But, Eros couldn't eat souls. Eros was hardly a human. Not a weapon. Not a Witch. Eros was something in between. Eros became an anomaly just as Crona did...

But, Eros had a new purpose. Eros had a goal. If the Dark Coven Ophelia was part of was so afraid of the compact between the DWMA and the Wiccan Council, he would dissolve it. He would return the world to a place where a Witch could be safe among her kind to practice her magic. That was his desire.

Theme


Physically, Eros is a human and has the weapon gene. His soul has changed to an incredibly corrupted Witch-Human Hybrid. Due to this, Eros cannot consume souls or shift into a weapon, but now has access to unique Magic and Madness.

While not stated in his history, Eros picked up his skill in Enchanting because without the use of Enchanting Gauntlets, he cannot use advanced Magic outside the scope of his Madness. The use of Golems in the form of Clay Puppets and Marble Statues are his method of using alternate forms of Magic despite his limitations. Eros also experimented with Calculation Magic, but failed, proving a device was needed to perform other schools of magic.

Eros is more pissed at other Witches than he is the DWMA.

Technically, Eros should be a Sorcerer-Human Hybrid, but his relationship with magic would remain the same.

The Mask of Eibon is is a metallic mask literally sutured into the face of Daisensei. Created to dampen his abilities to an extreme degree, the Mask of Eibon is the eternal punishment Dainsensei must face. Many abilities, such as Soul Perception and his Healing Wavelength, are not vastly affected by this mask. Instead, it hinders how much of his Wavelength he can utilize at one time and the length of time he can utilize it. The mask inhibits Daisensei to using only one-thousandth of his overall potential at any given time in terms of potency and furthermore prevents him from using his wavelength for more than a few minutes at a time. Notably, the mask does not in any way inhibit his precision or perception.

Madness Wavelength While not as potent as a Shinigami or Kishin, Daisensei possesses an uncontrollable wavelength that radiates as an aura around him that affects all sentient beings regardless of species. His Madness is the Madness of Knowledge and sparks ambition in those around him to learn and better themselves--at first. While the Wavelength has proven to drive students to achieve great heights, it has also drove many insane in their lust for knowledge--specifically furthering advancements or research in a particular field of their interest. In two cases, students have died while searching for ancient artifacts in forbidden places due to an uncontrolled intrigue in world lore. This effect is gradual, but can ultimately be permanent.

Soul Perception and Super Soul Perception are some of the trademark abilities of Daisensei. Noted by many as the only mortal to 'ever see more clearly than Death', Daisensei has mastered the ability to read souls to such a degree that no secret, memory or feeling can be hidden form him. More so, unlike his former student Joe Buttaki, his Super Soul Perception is effectively always-active with virtually no drain on him. He can identify the species, abilities and absolute potential of those around him and extend his visual field up to an entire kilometer with extended effort.

Daisensei possesses two subset abilities of Soul Perception: Precognition and Potentiometry. His use of Precognition allows him to perceive a specific Soul and see into its future. There is no limitation as to how far or how many times, however, Daisensei cannot entirely control this ability. He cannot initiate a vision if the connection to the Soul and a major event is not yet present. Furthermore, Daisensei has found that by 'perceiving' the future, he then possesses the potential to change it. Thus, while Precognition is an entirely useful technique, it is not reliable. Potentiometry is the ability to see the deep, inner potential of a Soul. Some souls have incredible intellect and wisdom, some hold a unique power within them. Daisensei used this ability to find the inner potential of Joe Buttaki and unlock his Super Soul Perception, providing one instance of the sheer effectiveness of this ability.​

Wavelength Manipulation Daisensei has mastered an ability thought to only be theoretical: altering the frequency of his personal wavelength to gain specific attributes. Most specifically, a healing wavelength, amplification wavelength, anti-magic wavelength, magic augmentation wavelength, anti-madness wavelength and anti-demon wavelength. While he can only use one wavelength at once and the transition between them takes a significant period of time in mediation, Daisensei is the only mortal to ever be able to shift his wavelength to gain the abilities of other wavelengths thought to require being born into.

Healing Mastery is the most advanced wavelength ability Daisensei possesses. While is other wavelengths are like tools in a kit, his healing Wavelength is the one he has spent a large majority of his life perfecting. Daisensei can regenerate lost tissue to such a degree he can reverse short-term brain damage and even bring the recently-dead back to life--if he has someone assisting him. In fact, his abilities as a healer are considered unnatural--especially with assistance. Daisensei is limited in his healing as the Mask of Eibon limits how much he can heal, but with assistance from a talented Soul, he can perform miracles. What he cannot do, however, is heal the chronically ill or long-term medical issues. For instance, he cannot heal his own severed nerves in his lumbar. He also cannot heal the blind or save a drunkards liver from cirrhosis. No healer honestly can. His most unnatural ability, however, is his longevity due to constant self-healing. Daisensei has stated that he is effectively immortal unless Lord Death (or Symmetry) takes it upon himself to kill him.

Soul Drain is a forbidden technique that disgusted Witches and Monsters alike. This ability, in combination with his Madness, is what brought about the Mask of Eibon at the request of Lord Death. Soul Drain is the ability to literally drain other living souls without killing their host body or consuming them for corruption. This grants the user immense power and is incredibly dangerous once mastered. This ability alone had many putting a death sentence on Daisensei only to be staved off by Lord Death at the time.

A subset of Soul Drain is Soul Transplant which allows Daisensei to place the soul of an individual inside the body of another as long as it has no soul. However, with the Mask of Eibon, this ability is impossible to utilize--even with the assistance of another Soul.​

Wavelength Mastery is the stepping stone for all of his other more advanced techniques. In his lifetime, Daisensei 'proved' several theories in the DWMA textbooks, causing them to be rewrote. Daisensei can manifest his wavelength as a solidified blade known as a Soul Scalpel which, while incredibly sharp physically, can also slice through souls. Daisensei can also create restraints or 'blocks' out of his own Wavelength and imbue them onto others, generally for training purposes. While his abilities are vastly limited due to the Mask of Eibon, he still has several feats he is capable of. However, there are even more he cannot due. Without the Mask of Eibon, Daisensei could alter his Soul Force techniques to utilize the cold, fire, electricity or even gusts of wind; he could create various constructs, like a whip and shield; he could create barriers and manipulate them after; and, he could launch his own wavelength out of his body as a destructive ball of raw kinetic energy.

Resonance is weakened considerably for Daisensei due to his mask, however, he is still quite capable. With touch, Daisensei can create a 'Soul Space' between him and another person. There, he can effectively act as God; he can change the perception of time and the environment to his whim. He often uses this to communicate important things or recreate visual scenes. Often, this ability is why most are instructed NOT TO TOUCH HIM at any time if they meet him. His precise skills in Resonance are unknown as he did not trained in it prior to the mask being placed on him and now he cannot muster enough of his wavelength to sustain a powerful connection--only the created Soul Space. However, he does understand resonance thoroughly as evidenced by his perception of it.




History

  • How does a man become a monster?

    For Desmond, it was easy. Then again, most things came easy for Desmond. Desmond with his partner Alphonse were the star students of his generation. Only outshone on occasion by their rival, Akiko☆Hoshi and his weapon partners Nagma and Istanbri. Desmond, mostly known as Desi' by his peers, might have been the prodigy of his generation; even Lord Death claimed he had never seen a human that could see souls like he could.

    Yeah... it all came easy.

    Except beating Akiko. Time and time again, the two faced off and time and time again, the two just barely ever inched out the other. Akiko was a student of the Old Ways and a utility Meister wielding two different style short swords. Desi' was a Perceptionist using a bo staff that always had an edge on sheer knowledge--he was the top of his class in terms of grades. The heated rivalry between these two drove the student body in the time they were there; Desi' was always looking for a way to innovate his fighting style while Akiko tried harder and harder to master the ☆Hoshi family ways.

    In the end, there was no clear answer for which was better. In the end, none of them were Meisters long. Desi' had already fought long and hard to make Alphonse a Death Weapon. So, when the two were on a Witch Hunt, Desi' refused to let Akiko get the soul for Nagma or Istanbri. The longer he could be the only one with a Death Weapon, the better. Conversely, Akiko was determined to bridge that gap. Their raw determination became their downfall. Ambushed, outnumbered and alone, the two fought hard, but were effectively massacred by a group of Witches and a few Enchanters. The only survivor being Desi', but he was forever changed. On that day, he lost his best friend, Alphonse, he lost his greatest rival, Akiko, and, he lost his legs--he would never walk again. He thought he would die, too, honestly. He did.

    The last words he recalled before he thought he would reach his Nirvana went something along the lines of: "the chance of this kid walking is about as low as those ones walking again. Forget it. Load'm up."

    Consumed with survivor's guilt and the desire to walk again, to achieve something again, Desi' drowned himself in the DWMA libraries learning all he could. He refused to accept he would never walk again. He refused to accept his friends were gone. He refused to accept there was nothing he could do. Every ounce of his ambition, his time and even his soul were dedicated to finding an answer.

    Desi' was no Eibon. When consumed by the Madness of Knowledge, he became an animal. He began mastering techniques, creating new ones, experimenting on himself and pushing the limits of what a Meister could do. Theories in books became realities. Principles taught in Plasmology and Wavelength studies soon were either proven or disproved. In ten years, Desi' made more headway than most did in their lifetime--and he did it all confined to a wheelchair. Yet, he did not find his answer.

    And, his madness grew. With his madness came a new idea. Something so heinous no book had ever wrote about it. Something so desperate only a madman eaten alive by guilt would do it. He would drain the souls of others. While weapons could consume souls, that corrupted them. His Soul Drain technique would give him the energy of souls without altering his own; and, he did this by simply not killing the host body. Leaving them in a comatose state and taking everything else they were.

    When he perfected the technique, he went on a rampage. He continued draining the souls of students and even teachers--whomever was close to him--with the singular goal of using their raw power to overcoming his mortal limitations. He would heal himself. He would walk again. This would be his answer. This is how he would repent.

    It didn't work. He had the energy of a small army--enough to even make Lord Death flinch. It wasn't enough. In the end, Lord Death quelled his fit of insanity by breaking the very laws of nature itself. Using the power and authority that only a true God of Death can possess, he allowed the souls of Alphonse and Akiko to return from the other world. He allowed them to speak to Desi'.

    Desi' found his answer. In doing so, he released all of the souls to their respective owners and bowed down to Lord Death, expecting his own Death. Instead, he was spared, but only because of the sympathy Lord Death immediately felt for his plight. In his centuries of life, very few times did he see a man so hellbent on something accept their fate and admit their wrongdoing.

    In the end, Desi' was imprisoned to the dungeons below the DWMA only to be released when a student with great potential could utilize his training or when his visions were pertinent to Lord Death. The cost of his transgressions, though, amounted in the creation of a Demon Tool by Eibon. A mask sutured into his face, permanently there, that suppressed his abilities. Over the years (of which he lost count), he has trained some of the most elite students to ever be part of the DWMA. His name has faded into existence, but those that know him refer to him as Dai-Sensei or simply Daisensei.

Weapon Transformation Mido is capable of transforming into a pair of unique twin swords that can be merged into a bow. Because of this, Mido can only be used by a Utility Meister. Because of the unique nature of his weapon form, he falls into a category between Shifting Weapon and Multi-Form as he technically never transforms a second time yet clearly has two different functioning forms of weaponry. Experience has proven his most powerful forms of Resonance are centered on his bow form. Mido is uniquely capable of taking on his bow form even if his Meister has one sword disarmed given he is within 3 meters of the corresponding half. His bladed edges are in fact retained in his bow form.

Old Ways is a Martial Way taught exclusively to the Hoshi Family and later to their Star Clan branch in which specializes in killing human beings. While Mido is not proficient in it, he has been taught and conditions for the Old Ways as is tradition for the Hoshi Family.

Autonomous Weapon Mido is not experienced as an autonomous weapon, however, he does possess the ability to consistently transform and use a single arm as a bladed weapon. He has claimed his training in Soul Resonance has been favored over this style of training.

Soul Resonance is the primary skill that has earned Mido his placement as a Two-Star Weapon. Mido is fully capable of Soul Resonance with a Utility Meister up to advanced Resonance techniques. As twin swords, he and his Meister can perform the Dance of Elusive Blades which greatly increases their speed and creates after-images of their bodies--including their Wavelengths. This technique does not bolster their offensive capability much further than a tier one Soul Resonance, but it brings ample utility. As a bow, Mido can infuse his regular arrows with one of three elements: fire, lightning or ice. The element chosen is determined entirely by his Meister and by their Soul Signature, meaning that the Meister nor Mido can choose which element and that they cannot change the element willingly. Mido has an advanced bow technique based on the element of his Meister. The color of his arrows are also determined by his Meister as it is their Wavelength he amplifies. His current most powerful Soul Resonance technique is known as the Starstrike. As the wavelength of his Meister is continuously amplified by him, time slows down to a near-stop and a perfect line for aim is created between he and his target. The blast fired is a spiral of his own silver wavelength and the wavelength of his Meister shot through a yellow star akin to the stars in the eyes of the Hoshi and Star clan. Starstrike is most powerful due to its penetrative quality as the spiral created between the two wavelengths and the hyper-resonance that occurs allow it to carve through almost anything.

Variety Arrows is one of the trademark abilities of Mido. While not true Resonance, Mido can work with his Meister to create various arrow techniques included guided arrows, tracer arrows, multi-arrow barrages, blinding arrows, so on and so forth. Also unlike the elemental arrow ability, these arrows require more training than simply merging his Wavelength and that of his Meister. These trick arrows were, at a time, one of the most useful parts of his arsenal with his previous Meister despite his more powerful resonance techniques.

Chain Resonance is one of the abilities that also earned his place as a Two-Star Alpha. While not particularly skilled at it, Mido is capable of Chain Resonance with a talented Meister and others.






Biography
Midori was born into the Hoshi family, but not a particularly central part of it. In fact, his family was an outward branch family that did not even possess the Star-eye of the Hoshi family. However, his mother was an upstanding member of the family and a lawyer that assisted with the financial situation of their dojo. His father was a dormant weapon and between his mother and father, Midori was born with an expressed weapon gene.

Due to tradition and by the acceptance of his mother whom wanted to be closer to the Hoshi family in general, Midori was taken in for training as were virtually all the other weapons. Despite being a branch family member, Midori proved exceptional with his transformation and using the Old Ways taught to him at his age. More importantly, his dual-form status made him a rarity among weapons in general.

More than likely, if Midori had any other weapon form or was a hair less talented, he would have been taught how to control his form, then pushed back into education. Instead, the Hoshi elders allowed him to stay in training. This did not come without a cost. Other clan members labeled him a half-breed and often referred to him as 'Dark Eyes' or 'Dark Eyed' in reference to his lack of a Star Eye. Instead of allowing this to push him off course, Midori continued on through the ridicule to enter the DWMA and outshine four other Hoshi members in his entry-level classes. Midori, plain and simple, was considered one of the top ten rookies of his class.

Midori paired with another talented Meister, Ao Mitsuki, in the East Asia Branch of the DWMA. Part of their dynamic was how Midori could never impress Ao. The other part was how Ao continuously stole the attention of others from Midori. She was, after all, the third of her class, four spots above Midori himself. Together, the two became the top Marksmen duo of their year within the entire DWMA. While they were not stars in any other right, they were given plenty of recognition. Ranged weaponry was a niche inside the DWMA, but within that niche, Ao and Midori were considered rising stars.

The two became a two Star pair and began fighting more and more powerful monsters. In fact, the two specialized as Monster Hunters. Midori became known as Mido the Dark Eye and Ao took on the stage name of Whistle--mostly because a faint whistle was all people heard before she took out her target. What happened to the two is slightly unclear. During a routine mission of an Evil Human turned Monster (that had escaped some lower class students), Mido and Ao were ambushed. The reports and Mido claims that some form of magic was involved in addition to something controlling the Monster. The specifics are unknown primarily because Mido and a handful of civilians are the only survivors.

Ao was killed and Mido was bleeding out. His abdomen has been left with a permanent scar from the side of his navel to near his spleen and half his abdomen and chest have been left with a permanent fish-scale like scar due to slit skin-grafts used to treat a severe burn. Mido was left hospitalized for some time. The turn out was actually quite significant. Plenty of his former peers, even those that once mocked him, visited him from time to time while he recovered. And, recovered he did. After a solid year of healing and reconditioning his body, Mido returned to the DWMA, but under the request he was moved from the East Asia Branch. Something was wrong about serving the same place he grew up with Ao.

So, Mido was moved to the America Branch. Primarily because English and Chinese were his only secondary languages, but also at the request he help guide some of the other ranged weapons that may find themselves at the central DWMA headquarters in Death City. Granted... Mido didn't come directly to Death City. He spent a few months forgetting his woes in Southern California. Adapting to the culture, trying out a handful of things he shouldn't, cleaning up his somewhat sloppy accent--now hardly noticeable. His near-death experience changed him. Mido is hardly the upstanding Hoshi elite he once was, but he is nonetheless a force to be reckoned with.

PERSONAL INFORMATION
Personality: Ares is considered to be of the "Consul" personality type. People who share the Consul personality type are, for lack of a better word, popular – which makes sense, given that it is also a very common personality type, making up twelve percent of the population. In high school, Consuls are the cheerleaders and the quarterbacks, setting the tone, taking the spotlight and leading their teams forward to victory and fame. Later in life, Consuls continue to enjoy supporting their friends and loved ones, organizing social gatherings and doing their best to make sure everyone is happy.

Discussing scientific theories or debating European politics isn’t likely to capture Consuls’ interest for too long. Consuls are more concerned with fashion and their appearance, their social status and the standings of other people. Practical matters and gossip are their bread and butter, but Consuls do their best to use their powers for good.

At their hearts, Consul personalities are social creatures, and thrive on staying up to date with what their friends are doing.

Consuls are altruists, and they take seriously their responsibility to help and to do the right thing. Unlike their Diplomat relatives however, people with the Consul personality type will base their moral compass on established traditions and laws, upholding authority and rules, rather than drawing their morality from philosophy or mysticism. However, his search has become obsessive since he heard of her growing sensitivity, believing that he was failing her and determined to set things right again.

Likes: •Ares enjoys socializing. If there was a party during his time at DWMA, he was there, most likely dragging his sister along.

•He also enjoys the arts, as he is quite creative.

•Even simply being with someone he cares about is enough to make him happy.

Dislikes: •Ares hates seeing what his sister is becoming. He has contacts within DWMA who keep eyes out on Morgenstern and report back to him when possible. Some things he hears makes him hurt.

•He's also not a fan of spiders. He's not deathly afraid, but like any sane person, they somewhat irk him.

•He absolutely despises idiots. While he may not be a scientist as much as his sister, he is still very smart. People who ask stupid questions are the rare ones he hasn't less patience with.

HISTORY

Before his transfer to France and Japan, Ares was a student at DWMA with his younger sister, Morgenstern. The two were partners, and very close to each other.

Always together, he was almost inseparable with "Morgen" as he called her. The two were the best of friends, and balanced each other out perfectly. Morgenstern, the hot-headed introvert, and Ares, the suave extrovert.

Ares was always pulling Morgen along with him to socialize, hoping to find her a long-time friend and maybe even a life partner -not the weapon type- to be happy with. Although, they were just happy being together.

Until that one day. Morgenstern had wanted to go on a late-night mission, asking Ares to come with her. After hearing his refusal, Morgen threatened to go alone, causing him to follow her for fear of her getting hurt.

Unfortunately, neither of them predicted that they would get grabbed by some criminals that very night. Filled with horror, Ares was forced to watch these criminals toy with his sister, hurting and hitting her among other things. They even went as far as marking up her beautiful face that reminded him oh so much of their late father and grandfather. He knew that the pristine skin would be no more.

But that same night, Morgenstern fought back without him. She fought her captor, but in the end she was detained, and their anger was taken out on Ares. He remembered one taking out a knife, hearing Morgenstern begin to plead "not him, please." And then, the searing pain came as the blade was thrust into his stomach. Before falling unconscious, he heard the slamming of a door, and yells. DWMA, if he had to guess.

There had been a thud, before he heard someone scrambling towards him. He still remembers looking up and seeing the tear-stained face of his meister, stroking his -at that time- long hair and begging for him to stay with her. And he fell unconscious.

That was the last time he saw Morgenstern.

As soon as he recovered in the dispensary, he was shipped off to France. After spending a year there, he was off to Asia in order to reach the Japanese branch.

There, he made contacts within the American ranks, watching over his sister from afar. He watched as she found a new partner, experienced her falling in love-happy that his one wish for her had come true. He was there when, after their long-time relationship had flourished, he had proposed to her, and she accepted.

And he was also there when she killed him. Accidentally, of course, during an episode. But killed him nonetheless. He saw how she collapsed by him, crying over his dying form, and it reminded him of then.

He wished he was physically there, able to comfort and hug her, but he wasn't. He was there through her mind, yet she did not know it. And she shut him out right after. He hasn't been able to see her since.

Now, he's determined to find her, to make good on the promise he gave Austyn Stein on his deathbed. And he will, whether Lord Symmetry likes it or not.

COMBAT AND SOUL ABILITIES

Combat Style: Ares is not very used to being the one doing the actual fighting unless being wielded by a weapon. Because of this, he relies heavily on his wits or diplomacy to get him out of a situation in which his sister or meister is near. When being wielded, however, Ares prefers to use his mind-games on others.

The downside to this is that his meister must be proficient enough in combat to get near their opponent and use their soul wavelength to connect with the opponent, as if implanting a seed within them allowing Ares to do what he must. While the ability is still powerful, outside of meister-weapon pairing, it is a bit harder for him to gain a significant reaction to his mind-games, as there is no meister to amplify it or weaken their guard.

Abilities
:
Cunning- Ares is very sneaky. His natural charm, good looks, and suave voice allow him to slip into the minds of others. Many do not see this coming, since he is a kind-hearted person.

Camouflage- Ares, going along with his sneakiness, is a very good hider. If he doesn't want you to find him, you won't, and if you do, prepare for the fun.

Extreme understanding- Ares is a very kind and empathetic person. Much like his sister, but not as surprising, he is very empathetic and can easily read emotions. However, he actually shows empathy easily, not having any guards up in front of it.

•Fiery Whip- Ares' resonance form as a whip grows longer, small spikes appearing. The whip then grows excruciatingly hot, only himself and his meister immune to the heat. His grandfather still has a scar on his hand from when he accidentally touched him.

Mind Games- Ares, in his human and pipe forms, has the ability to assist to implant a fragment of the soul of his meister or himself into an opponent, allowing him to connect his mind with theirs. After doing so, he can manipulate the senses, changing what you see, hear, smell, touch, and taste to whatever he would like. Though, let it be known that this is extremely dangerous, as he once accidentally drove a man to insanity by doing so.

Soul Spirits- In his pipe form, the resonance between he and his meister form "soul spirits." The smoke from his pipe (while unharmful to breathe in) expands, forming a series of guardian spirits to assist in combat. The shape of the spirit depends on who is wielding them. For example, Morgenstern's spirit took the shape of a large winged dog, as seen in the photo gallery. Should Lord Symmetry, however, wield him, the spirit shall take on the form of a single large, dark raven, an omen of death.

Werewolf Physiology "Werewolves are beings that are able to transform in between their human state and their wolf-like animal state, in which their werewolf form seems to make them exceptionally more powerful as well as boost their overall physical abilities. However, even in their human form, they retain some added ability that separates them from normal humans such as a keen sense of smell and awareness." -- Soul Eater Wiki

Alpha Form is the first and 'mastered' werewolf form that Apex has achieved. This form is considerably weaker than the average Werewolf form, but its true merit comes from the amplifications it grants Apex in addition to his base skills. While all of his physical abilities are amplified, his speed puts him in the top bracket of close combat warrior in this form. Considered faster than the Shinigami himself, he has thus far only been out-sped by two living beings: Black☆Star and Mifune in his prime. Notably, this form comes with the distinctive drawback of not being able to use a weapon and his Chain Resonance can only be used if those within his team have a 'pack' mentality wherein they accept him as the alpha. Alpha Resonance will be explained later.

Feral Form is the second and uncontrolled werewolf form Apex is capable of. This form is on-par with the standard Werewolf form, but is considerably more dangerous as Apex is considerably stronger than the Human Form of even the Immortal Clan. The physical capabilities this form grants are astounding and shift Apex up the ladder to paralleling other top tier Meisters and even Monsters. He is considered Mock Kishin level in this form. However, this form presents no Madness. Instead, this form is pure, feral rage. Because of this, this form is rarely used and is considered the 'potential' that Apex has, but no amount of training can thus far unlock.​

Soul Perception is a Meister-exclusive ability in which relates to the ability to perceive soul. Apex is highly skilled with Soul Perception, but more so, has a unique attribute to his perception: Soul Scent. Apex has a full 30 meter radius with defined clarity; the standard for elite Meisters. However, he can lock onto a Soul Signature via its scent and track it for up to fifty miles in a 24 hour period of time. Furthermore, this ability can be used to discern even the slightest of differences in wavelength variations. Most uniquely, Apex is capable of discerning the intentions of an individual by the scent of their soul, acting as a human lie detector and making it nearly impossible to betray him.

Soul Force is an advanced Meister-exclusive attack in which users attack with their Soul Wavelength. Apex is capable of using this ability in his Human form normally, however, the lightning from it is light green to match his soul. In his Alpha Form, he can use a variation of this ability by extending light green, electrified portions of his claws.

Hand-to-Hand Combat is one of the primary means of fighting for Apex. Because Apex cannot be synchronized with a weapon for very long, he must adapt constantly. In doing so, he must often go without a weapon. His general style of fighting is a culmination of mixed martial arts including boxing, Shaolin Kung Fu and most prominently Muay Thai.

Utility Meister Apex is a Utility Meister capable of using any and even multiple weapons. However, because of the sheer ferocity of his soul, pairing with him is incredibly difficult to maintain for long. Even Death Weapons find fighting with him for extended periods of time an exhausting, exhilarating and extremely intense experience.

Resonance Apex is capable of various tier two Resonance techniques, however, his most notable ability involves Chain Resonance. Apex is considered the foremost elite in Chain Resonance within the DWMA, using it over standard weapon Resonance. In his human form, Apex is capable of fighting at full force while maintaining a Chain Resonance of up to twelve people (Meisters and Weapons included)--double the norm.

Alpha Resonance is a unique and powerful type of Chain Resonance that is formed from a pack mentality and requires Apex be in his Alpha form. This Chain Resonance creates a 'battle mind' wherein each person in the Resonance becomes passively hyper aware of their fellow comrades and they share a subconscious perception of the world around them created by all of their visual fields and Soul Perceptions. Notably, there is little gained in regards to raw power in this form. Instead, the boon from Alpha Resonance lies in the submission to Apex: by giving in to his will, the entire team resonating works as a perfectly synchronized team without the years of training that normally accompany such.​








Biography
Apex is one of twelve living Synthetic Werewolves created by Rogue Witches whom disagreed with the DWMA-Witch alliance. The chance of success for the experience was exceedingly low at a rate of nearly 1:20. When the witch lair was raided, there were documents on up to 188 subjects all simply subbed Sxxxx followed by their numerical value. Apex was the second living subject and technically the second eldest of 12 brothers--all male.

While Apex is technically the son of Free, he is not an Immortal or part of the Immortal Clan. He and his brothers were considerably weaker and most were unable to achieve a werewolf form, or once they did, it was permanent. Because of this, many had their werewolf form magically sealed by the Wiccan Council to assure they never would, then were reintegrated into society by the DWMA. Apex was one of the four exceptions. At a young age, he proved capable of switching between his forms with relative ease--although his werewolf form was considerably weaker than his gene donor, Free.

Ultimately, Apex walked down the path of a Meister. He was high-energy and the normal life of humanity would never sate him. In fact, little did. Apex was one of the few of his 'litter' to be allowed to join the DWMA--mostly to teach him further control over his instincts and to keep a safe environment for him and those around him. What was never expected was how well Apex would thrive. While he was far from the top of any of his classes academically, Apex had a way of understanding things. A way to make the text on a page into an idea he could understand. Apex missed plenty of items on tests, but in the field, there was little he missed out on.

For his entire duration in the DWMA as a student and even until he became a Two-Star Meister, Apex was paired with two weapons: Garet, a lance, and Harriet, a large double-sided axe. Both weapons were two-handed and for valid reason: Apex had to switch between them consistently due to the fatigue brought on them by simply being his weapon. Apex has such a strong personality and soul, in addition to the ferocity of his predatory nature, that it wears down even his long-term partners. This ultimately resulted in the unique dynamic of a Meister with two weapons whom only used one at a time.

Before he was twenty, Apex managed to make both Garet and Harriet Death Weapons. Garet at this point his best friend, settled down and married a few years later. Apex was in fact the best man at that wedding, but it left Apex needing a new weapon. This created a new cycle of Apex getting new weapons and pushing them to become Death Weapons. By the time he was twenty five, Apex has successfully make six Death Weapons. And, why? His obsession with hunting. Tracking down and eliminating Mock Kishin, Monsters and even Mythics became the singular goal of Apex.

The reality that came after were Death Weapons that were not as experienced or effective as those that had been paired with a partner for years and struggled to gain their place. Lord Symmetry was forced to put a stop to it and in doing so, Apex went Rogue. For nearly six years, Apex continued his hunt and mastered his Werewolf form to make up for the lack of a weapon. He was one of the DWMA's most wanted targets until he turned himself in. He believed not only had he reached his limit on his own, but that the prey he was constantly hunting down was hurting entire supernatural ecosystems.

As he aged, Apex became more aware of nature. More aware of the balance between good and evil, or more so, that it wasn't necessarily good and evil. Just that for every action, there was a reaction. He hunted Monsters, but they still appeared. He tracked down mock Kishin--doing even the job of the DWMA--yet they treated him like a criminal and even then mock Kishin still appeared. He realized that the thrill he got out of hunting only led him in circles and the high he got off the hunt was becoming an addiction. He saw the path he was going down and rejected it. Besides, he still struggled with the question of did hunting mock Kishin like he did cause more to appear?

Apex returned within eighteen months to the DWMA as an instructor, generally teaching Two-Star or Advanced Placement classes. He has since been doing this for six years, most only knowing him for his assistance on large missions. Considering his classes rarely have more than ten people, he often provides specialized training and has proven that even werewolves mature. His high-energy youth has become a reserved and educated middle-age and his former notoriety as the Rogue Wolf has all but vanished.

Apex is not your regular Professor, however. In fact, he makes it a point not to call him such. His students call him Apex. Lord Symmetry calls him Apex. His targets rarely have time to call him anything.

When Aella is in the form and utilizing "Blades of Wrath" her Shotel splits into halves, which may then be connected at the handles to form a double-sided shovel standing at a shocking 6 feet tall. It is very light, but sharp enough to cut through the strongest of metal in one fell swoop. It is meant to be wielded with one hand, as Aella will assist her wielder in performing the movements they wish to do.

Have you ever seen a curved weapon straighten itself out? Probably not, as that would be the equivalent of a Scythe turning against itself. However, this death scythe can do almost exactly that AND manifest a horde of spears that, much like the name suggests, are made of solid steel.

While in this form, she stands out among them as she does maintain part of the curved blade found in her original shotel form, and she glows blue. So, all in all, her handle gets longer and she gets sharper and a bit straighter.

These spears are at her control, and hers only, however. This means that her wielder must be very communicative. Or she must be very honed in on the thoughts of the wielded to be able to follow orders on how to use them.

On initial contact with Aella, one may mistake her for a young woman with a typical upbringing in a small sector in Denmark, where she was born. However, there is much more to her than meets the eye.

Over 25 years ago,a baby girl Aella Ichinose was born into the life of an unknown mother and father within the boundaries of a small sector of Copenhagen, Denmark. The parents, who lived in poverty, fearing the worst for their daughter's life, had her taken from the city and up to the state of Nevada, located in the United States, after she was but a few hours old. She was taken in by the Hans, a family of high standing, located in New York City.

Aella was raised with love, and taught how to be a diplomatic young woman, a businesswoman in training. However, the family's efforts of controlling the young woman's wild instincts were in vain. While out of the sight of the public eye, Aella was a completely different person. Rather than reserved, she was outgoing and extroverted, making friends and having fun. However, she knew when it was time to restrain herself, and when it was time for her to join the realm of the upper class, she was ready.

Effortlessly, she could slip into the role of the graceful swan of the Han family. She drew like Michaelangelo, played the piano like Chopin, fought ruthlessly, and her dancing was comparable to the smooth gliding of the ocean waves that she dreamed of seeing oh so much.

At the age of 13, the Han father decided that Aella take a husband as soon as she turned of age. The girl had grown to be beautiful, with envious height and form. Many men had already offered to take her hand, yet she had declined them all. She did not want a husband to hold her back. What she wanted was to be free to make her own choices based on reasoning- the right kind, rather than the kind that maintained the family's honor and ruined her happiness.

No longer wishing to fight pointlessly with the man that she believed had held a part in her creation, she agreed. And within the week, she was betrothed to a man in his twenties, almost 10 years older than the poor girl, bound to be married when she was 18.

However, nothing could hold back the wild instincts of the girl from Europe. She ended up leaving her fiancé, effectively ruining her family's reputation. Upon her leaving, accompanied with the words "I don't," she heard the Han family's breadwinner exclaim that he never should have adopted her.

She ran almost immediately. Having discovered her rather odd ability to transform into a weapon, she took off without telling a soul, using her savings money that had stocked up from the moment of her adoption to fuel her trip. Eventually, she came upon a city in Nevada, where a lone soul witnessed her transformation and brought her to DWMA, where she was taken to a death god. A real god of death, much to her Disney. It was impossible. Then again, she could transform into a weapon.

She had been waiting her whole life for this moment. While she loved her family, the constant dress wearing and diplomatic events held every other day were just, unreasonable.She knew she had a true calling, somewhere that wasn't there. She belonged here, with others of her kind.

Upon arriving in the academy, the young woman was astonished at the difference between this world and the one she knew. Seeming magic, people with little to no manners at all, a purpose in life. And freedom from the chains of diplomacy. She knew this is where she belonged.

Her years of training flew before her eyes in a blur. One day, she was in the classroom to learn, the next, she was standing before the death god himself, presented as a young 18 year old girl who had assisted her partner in capturing 99 Kishin egg souls, and one of a witch. She was being presented as a Death Scythe

She knew that within a few years, the statistics said that she-along with most of her friends- would be dead due to the kishin if they did not improve her skills.

But that did not happen. Rather, over 5 years have rolled past since that day, and Aella is still going strong, although 2 of those years were also devoted to being a teacher-that may have helped just a bit. She has built up a reputation in the eyes of her family. Her best friend from back home presented as a weapon only weeks after she left, and she too was brought to DWMA. Aella, being the strong and determined soul she was to stay with her best friend, attempted to wield him during their time as students. And to her dismay, she could. Not well, no. Their souls were too similar, and resonance was very difficult, but she could use him as the normal sword he was. But alas, he died on a mission with a less than proficient meister, part of the reason she worked so hard to collect the souls she had needed.

That does not, however, mean that she is perfect. Rather, the opposite occurred. By one of her male counterparts in her former class, she earned herself the nickname of "Balls." Why, you may ask?

Because she once had the nerve to snap back at an old teacher of hers, calling him a "Low-life, tea-drinking midget." A big mistake on her part. She had then proceeded to have the living hell beat out of her by a student that happened to have been a relative of the teacher. Looking back, she now realizes that she deserved it, and has since apologized to her superior.

She holds a great respect now for both him and Lord Symmetry , both of them strong-willed heroes in her mind, as well as The shinigami that allowed her to stay at the academy rather than leaving her out alone. Working alongside both of them to help prevent a Kishin uprising again is a great honor, and she is proud to be able to say that she has. Especially as one of Lord Symmetry's personal weapons.

To this day, she remains in contact with only her older brother, Leonidas Han. When he does come to visit, she 9 times out of 10 gets roped into babysitting her 3 year old nephew, who is a ball of energy. (Meaning she drinks about 4 cups of coffee in the morning alone before she leaves.)

Unfortunately, she can't deny his request because 1) This child is adorable and 2) He is a human, and can't know the real reason why she can't.

She realized that her dream of seeing the ocean is little to nowhere near completion, and she has long since given up on it. She moved on, accepting her new life as a Death Scythe for the ahimigami, focused on keeping Death City safe.

Now, she works as a teacher at the Academy when Lord Symmetry does not need her services to defend. She hopes that, with her guidance, she will be able to help in preventing any further casualties to the young DWMA students that are under her wings.

She has hardened, realizing what her duty was, and what she needed to do to fulfill it.

Although, this doesn't mean she doesn't still pick at the since retired old man that she'd come to love as a father-like figure.

    Given his parentage, it was of little wonder that Kuro grew up to be quite a handsome young man. As of this moment, he stands just over 6 feet tall, adding a few inches if you include the tops of his ears. His hair is often pulled back in a lazy ponytail.

    Despite his laid back demeanor, he, much like his mother, maintains a great level of physical fitness just in case they ever get into any serious scrapes. As a result, his body is accented with a fair amount of lean muscle.

    Perhaps the most uncanny feature of this boy, besides his obvious ears and tail, are his violet eyes that seem to swirl with magic whenever he's particularly fixated on something. That and, of course, his dazzling smile.


    Personality: Kuro definitely takes after his mother. Like Blair, he is a free spirit, doing really whatever strikes his fancy at any given point in time, and stopping whenever it ceases to entertain him. In spite of this, he's been known to look out for people and try to cheer up those who are down, usually with some display of his unusual antics.

    Despite his usual carefree attitude, Kuro can get particularly protective of people that get close to him. As such, it is highly ill-advised to threaten anyone that he's attached to.

Personality:
Tau is very determined to make a difference with her life. She puts her all into what she does. Once she decides that she has a specific goal in mind she single-mindlessly pursues it. No amount of convincing will make her deviate from her chosen path, even if you manage to give good arguments of why she shouldn't. This is the reason why she doesn't usually have a lot of backup plans for the future. The biggest goal she sets for herself is helping others. Not in any grand way by far, she has no delusions about her own ability. She strives to be someone others can trust and feel safe enough around to confide in.
Tau is always under the assumption that everyone is good deep down. She tends to start every fight by trying not to fight, this hesitation has worked against her before but she never wants to learn from it. She's under the belief that so long as they're sentient and sane they deserve to say their piece. She has this thought that most people are defaulted to avoiding fighting as she is. To others this is the biggest evidence that she is a naïve child but in her own perspective this is the only way to live. She sees it as positive thinking, she's not stupid she knows that ever time she reaches out she's leaving an opening to use but she refuses to live her life any other way.
Unfortunately she doesn't tend to trust others. She has low self esteem which tends to hold her back. She stops herself from making true friendships this way as she never shares her problems with others. Usually this leads to bottling up his emotions quite often that tend to get released in bad times. She usually winds up heavily regretting these types of situations as she manages only to take out all his frustrations on a target that doesn't tend to deserve all the anguish.
She tends to over extend herself, she doesn't understand that it's normal to have limits. She would rather forego free time and see a list of choices as something that must be done, by her, right now. Often she needs someone that tells her to take a step back and that it's okay to take a breather. Or that not every failure has to be taken to heart and cause you to train yourself into the ground. She just doesn't seem to see all the other factors of life.

History:
Tau was born just a few years before the Rebel War as the sixth child of a rather plain family. Her family was a rather close knit one. The oldest was a full decade older than her, but still spent quite a bit of time with the family even after she moved out of the house. The one closest to her in age was her older brother Darian, who was a mere two years older, was the one she spent the most time with.
Her earliest memory is fear. If you had to ask the specifics, she’d never be able to answer you but as the world beyond your four walls is in a tense openly hostile situation no amount of pacification was gonna work. While it worked for the moment, there was always gonna be another shard of fear inserted to her life so long as her elder siblings refused to believe that pacification.
Once the war ended it left scars, funerals for relatives she had never met, days of watching her parents cry and not understanding why, a lingering talk wondering if it was finally all over. For her three year old mind it just couldn’t process the links between it. More and more she began to watch others, speaking less. It seemed it was a mystery that flew over her head in all the most important ways.
By the time she was four she saw her house put back up it’s shields, the family had the calming atmosphere back. Her siblings had even started to accept it. Her mother however seemed to not know exactly how to respond to the peace, one minute she’d encourage their kids to explore and the next she’d be panicked until they were once again at her side. While their father was the calming presence of the house, the voice of reason. In this type of atmosphere Tau had started to develop a hesitation, finding herself looking back for confirmation that this is truly what her mother wanted her to do.
For majority of her childhood she was a bit of a people pleaser. She was the one on the edges, the first to say okay, never giving suggestions but only following the crowd. She was working with the tools that she had learned worked the best. While this is something that worked at home, in school this made her the doormat. No longer was she simply waiting on a sibling or parent to turn the conversation to her opinion, in the school group she had it would never come. After a year of never expressing her opinions her self esteem had begun to fall. This didn’t mean that she wanted to stay that way for any foreseeable future, instead she became the questioner. Finding her place in a new way. In fact this started to solidify her as a searcher and a doer. She found the best way to approach a fear was to learn about it. The more you know, the more you understand.
Around the time she had become nine she’d had her first experience that led her on her current path. It was a shock to find one of her classmates had become a demon weapon. Immediately the girl had started to brag how she would be instantly accepted into DWMA. As much as Tau didn’t care about becoming a weapon, it had interested her. She wound up launching a barrage of questions at her parents. She learned that her family that she had a couple of relatives that were a part of DWMA before the war, who had died because of it. Apparently her family came from a rather weak line of meisters, but had shown some of the first signs of magic.
From that one afternoon Tau was on her path, she looked into the Rebel War as much as she could. After finding more and more information on the event, she expanded outwards and looked into the witches, as well as further back. Soon she was hooked on everything into the history of DWMA. She was impressed by the school, and at her relatives that gave their lives for it. She knew she’d planned to join, there would be no stopping her. Even when there was still a little voice in the back of her head screaming that she wasn’t good enough for it, she just wouldn’t allow herself to not try.

Can Fight Without Vision:
Tau has kept the focus of her training in the art of fighting while keeping up the Antára spell. Since it only provides and advantage if you don't rely on sight she's learned to focus more heavily on sound in a fight.

Control Under Combat:
Tau has trained in the art of controlling her breathing and keeping it low but strong. It takes her longer than the average person to get winded in battle as she is able to keep herself relaxed and suppress the natural tendency of allowing adrenaline to take over, since the addling effect in thought is deadly for a mage.

Abilities:
Aspida
A Elemental Water spell. It gathers water from the ground and surrounding plants to fill a one by one area full of water. As more is collected the shield becomes thicker and more useful. Quick to form but takes time to build up to useful levels. Because her spells are made to interact with wavelength if a soul wave length hits the shield it would break but that single attack would not reach unless they were a higher level than her.

Évrima
A locator spell that works like a map making in her head through the use of major bodies of water. By tracking the paths of the rivers,etc he's able to tell where there are cliffs or changes in terrain for up to mile away.

Antára
A spell that chills the water in the air making is expand creating a fog. This makes it harder for the both the target and the user to see and attack in the chaos.

Sýrtis
Water travels to fill the ground below the target’s feet becoming a sloppy muddy like surface that creates an opening for the user to attack.

Hypoize
Surround the target with water droplets, that cover any exposed skin of the target. The user lowers the temperature of the water, which immediately causes a numb sensation and eventually leads to clumsier movement.

Fysallída
Tau surround the target with bubbles filled with pressurized steam, when she releases her concentration the bubbles pop and cause loud popping from all directions. Usually this is pretty disorienting for the target.

Proothó
Tau is able to heat the water she summons and make it speed her movements, as well as allow her to jump twice as high as usual should she use it while jumping.

Unarmed Combat:
Tau never actively looked to training in any form of offense outside weapon and magic. As a result she has trouble in any exercises that require her to be cut of from magic or hand to hand combat.

Raw Power:
Tau didn't really have a lot of training for hand to hand combat coming into DWMA, or to be more specific she had none. She had an understanding that she'd need to train this up eventually, but outside the courses and mandatory requirements she didn't spend a lot of time training it. She put her focus into the magic and weapon training courses and understandably never excelled in it.

Personality:
Tau is very determined to make a difference with her life. She puts her all into what she does. Once she decides that she has a specific goal in mind she single-mindlessly pursues it. No amount of convincing will make her deviate from her chosen path, even if you manage to give good arguments of why she shouldn't. This is the reason why she doesn't usually have a lot of backup plans for the future. The biggest goal she sets for herself is helping others. Not in any grand way by far, she has no delusions about her own ability. She strives to be someone others can trust and feel safe enough around to confide in.
Tau is always under the assumption that everyone is good deep down. She tends to start every fight by trying not to fight, this hesitation has worked against her before but she never wants to learn from it. She's under the belief that so long as they're sentient and sane they deserve to say their piece. She has this thought that most people are defaulted to avoiding fighting as she is. To others this is the biggest evidence that she is a naïve child but in her own perspective this is the only way to live. She sees it as positive thinking, she's not stupid she knows that ever time she reaches out she's leaving an opening to use but she refuses to live her life any other way.
Unfortunately she doesn't tend to trust others. She has low self esteem which tends to hold her back. She stops herself from making true friendships this way as she never shares her problems with others. Usually this leads to bottling up his emotions quite often that tend to get released in bad times. She usually winds up heavily regretting these types of situations as she manages only to take out all his frustrations on a target that doesn't tend to deserve all the anguish.
She tends to over extend herself, she doesn't understand that it's normal to have limits. She would rather forego free time and see a list of choices as something that must be done, by her, right now. Often she needs someone that tells her to take a step back and that it's okay to take a breather. Or that not every failure has to be taken to heart and cause you to train yourself into the ground. She just doesn't seem to see all the other factors of life.

History:
Tau was born just a few years before the Rebel War as the sixth child of a rather plain family. Her family was a rather close knit one. The oldest was a full decade older than her, but still spent quite a bit of time with the family even after she moved out of the house. The one closest to her in age was her older brother Darian, who was a mere two years older, was the one she spent the most time with.
Her earliest memory is fear. If you had to ask the specifics, she’d never be able to answer you but as the world beyond your four walls is in a tense openly hostile situation no amount of pacification was gonna work. While it worked for the moment, there was always gonna be another shard of fear inserted to her life so long as her elder siblings refused to believe that pacification.
Once the war ended it left scars, funerals for relatives she had never met, days of watching her parents cry and not understanding why, a lingering talk wondering if it was finally all over. For her three year old mind it just couldn’t process the links between it. More and more she began to watch others, speaking less. It seemed it was a mystery that flew over her head in all the most important ways.
By the time she was four she saw her house put back up it’s shields, the family had the calming atmosphere back. Her siblings had even started to accept it. Her mother however seemed to not know exactly how to respond to the peace, one minute she’d encourage their kids to explore and the next she’d be panicked until they were once again at her side. While their father was the calming presence of the house, the voice of reason. In this type of atmosphere Tau had started to develop a hesitation, finding herself looking back for confirmation that this is truly what her mother wanted her to do.
For majority of her childhood she was a bit of a people pleaser. She was the one on the edges, the first to say okay, never giving suggestions but only following the crowd. She was working with the tools that she had learned worked the best. While this is something that worked at home, in school this made her the doormat. No longer was she simply waiting on a sibling or parent to turn the conversation to her opinion, in the school group she had it would never come. After a year of never expressing her opinions her self esteem had begun to fall. This didn’t mean that she wanted to stay that way for any foreseeable future, instead she became the questioner. Finding her place in a new way. In fact this started to solidify her as a searcher and a doer. She found the best way to approach a fear was to learn about it. The more you know, the more you understand.
Around the time she had become nine she’d had her first experience that led her on her current path. It was a shock to find one of her classmates had become a demon weapon. Immediately the girl had started to brag how she would be instantly accepted into DWMA. As much as Tau didn’t care about becoming a weapon, it had interested her. She wound up launching a barrage of questions at her parents. She learned that her family that she had a couple of relatives that were a part of DWMA before the war, who had died because of it. Apparently her family came from a rather weak line of meisters, but had shown some of the first signs of magic.
From that one afternoon Tau was on her path, she looked into the Rebel War as much as she could. After finding more and more information on the event, she expanded outwards and looked into the witches, as well as further back. Soon she was hooked on everything into the history of DWMA. She was impressed by the school, and at her relatives that gave their lives for it. She knew she’d planned to join, there would be no stopping her. Even when there was still a little voice in the back of her head screaming that she wasn’t good enough for it, she just wouldn’t allow herself to not try.

A Unique skill in which Tau Charges her soul wave length to slam into her shield. This gives high velocity to the shield effectively becoming a barrage of small water shards.

Periafísi
Tau channels soul wavelength through her index finger to create a thin high pressure water stream. The closer she is to the target the stronger the power behind the hit.

Can Fight Without Vision:
Tau has train extensively in the art of fighting while keeping up the Antára spell. Since it only provides and advantage if you don't rely on sight she's learned to focus more heavily on sound in a fight.

Control Under Combat:
Tau has mastered the art of controlling her breathing and keeping it low but strong. It takes her longer than the average person to get winded in battle as she is able to keep herself relaxed and suppress the natural tendency of allowing adrenaline to take over, since the addling effect in thought is deadly for a mage.

Abilities:
Aspida
A Elemental Water spell. It gathers water from the ground and surrounding plants to fill a one by one area full of water. As more is collected the shield becomes thicker and more useful. Quick to form but takes time to build up to useful levels. Because her spells are made to interact with wavelength if a soul wave length hits the shield it would break but that single attack would not reach unless they were a higher level than her.

Évrima
A locator spell that works like a map making in her head through the use of major bodies of water. By tracking the paths of the rivers,etc he's able to tell where there are cliffs or changes in terrain for up to mile away.

Antára
A spell that chills the water in the air making is expand creating a fog. This makes it harder for the both the target and the user to see and attack in the chaos.

Sýrtis
Water travels to fill the ground below the target’s feet becoming a sloppy muddy like surface that creates an opening for the user to attack.

Hypoize
Surround the target with water droplets, that cover any exposed skin of the target. The user lowers the temperature of the water, which immediately causes a numb sensation and eventually leads to clumsier movement.

Fysallída
Tau surround the target with bubbles filled with pressurized steam, when she releases her concentration the bubbles pop and cause loud popping from all directions. Usually this is pretty disorienting for the target.

Proothó
Tau is able to heat the water she summons and make it speed her movements, as well as allow her to jump twice as high as usual should she use it while jumping.

Unarmed Combat:
Tau never actively looked to training in any form of offense outside weapon and magic. As a result she has trouble in any exercises that require her to be cut of from magic or hand to hand combat.

Raw Power:
Tau didn't really have a lot of training for hand to hand combat coming into DWMA, or to be more specific she had none. She had an understanding that she'd need to train this up eventually, but outside the courses and mandatory requirements she didn't spend a lot of time training it. She put her focus into the magic and weapon training courses and understandably never excelled in it.

Soul Description: Garo's soul takes on a pale, porcelain-like white colour, streaks and thin black lines give the impression of a stiched, grinning mouth. His soul displays a set of beady, large circular eyes, black as well. As well as the eyes, a long, straight and slightly curved nose sprouts from the main 'body' of his soul, looking akin to the crow's beak of his mask.

Personality: Garo is quiet and reserved. Though he is generally rather cheerful, he often comes off as aloof; it isn't due to how he treats others, merely it is that he has a habit of investing himself to an almost fanatical, zealous zeal. His hobbies are wide and ever-expanding; but his attention span was the opposite, both narrow and short-lived.

History:
For years, Garo had lived his life as any regular human would, he'd grow up, his first memory that he can recall now was the look on his mother's face when she would read him a story at night; that voice, calm and soothing; yet with a strength that Garo knew he could rely on. His father was much the same, atleast, what Garo recalls of him. By the time Garo turned 11, his father was gone from his life; Rosa, his mother had never told him why his father was gone, always dismissing the topic or trying to change it.

Garo's father had always been kind, he'd supported his son no matter what he did, and always had, though his father wished that he get involved with sports, he always took an interest in the hobby that Garo would have taken up for the week, whether it was just playing with lego and toy soldiers, or drafting up plans to save the world from some nefarious cartoon villain Garo had seen on TV that week. And then he was gone. No more late nights watching old movies and bad british comedies with his dad, no more football in the park. Nothing.

At first, Garo was sad, it took him a week after his dissapearnace for the boy to realise his father was not coming back, he cried, and barely stopped for a month. But within that month, he had become bitter, he missed his father, but he was angry. He was just gone, no goodbye, his dad never told him why he was going or where, he just gone. No last words or final life teachings. Just gone.

Much like the sadness, that anger faded and shifted as well. Now it was nought more than a cold emptiness, a hole, a void so to speak. Garo became more invested in his hobbies; intending to fill that empty hole with as much random knowledge and entertainment as possible. It wasn't enough. A solution came to him at long last. Though, not a good one.

It had been two years since his dad left, the void was filling. His life was full of distractions. Friends, relationships, learning. It wasn't enough. It was too mundane. It would never be enough. He realised that now.

Something was bound to happen eventually. Something Did.

His biggest and most vital distraction began in crimson paint and roaring flame. Garo remembers this day vividly; late afternoon, a shopping center just outside of a large city. He was with friends, some movie was premiering in cinemas that night, he doesn't remember what it was, it wasn't important.

They'd just bought their tickets when it started, a chorus of screams ruptured the steady chatter of the crowds; that same disjointed chorus was drowned out by a violent howl. Within moments it was in the same room as them. It was horrifying, a towering form swung it's club-like arms into the crowd; bodies went flying like pins at a bowling alley.

Others saw it as a horror. Garo's twisted mind saw the rampaging monster as a distraction. The boy called out as he grabbed the closest thing to a weapon he had available to him, a metal stand that had a credit card reader attached, it was wired into the wall, but not bolted. "Oi you bloody bugger, ya want some ya prick?" The foolish boy closed the distance between him and the monster quickly, he swung the metal stand from overhead; his attack was met by a swing from the beasts; it's fists didn't have any distinct features, no indications of fingers or thumbs; the fist was no different than a boulder at this point; to Garo, it was no different than a meteor.

The fist collided with Garo's makeshift metal hammer. The thin metal crumpled like it was cardboard, but Garo held on. An unwise decision. The immense vibrations shook his bones; he felt his muscles ache, his bones creak and his arms go numb as he was thrown into the air, his head cracked on the carpeted ground, the smell of stale popcorn barely seeped through the thick stench of coppery blood. He could taste than same copper in his mouth, mixing with his saliva as he swallowed. There was a ringing, his thoughts were slow, he felt dizzy, slow.

A black, hooded figure moved past him, his vision was fading, his eyes felt sore, his body felt like it was going to shut down, it was a struggle to stay awake. But he had to. A second hooded figure came into his sight; the two hooded people let their hands touch, and with a flash of light, the second figure was gone, an ornate looking axe in their place. The fight was short, the beast howled and swung wildly; but it's brute force couldn't match the speed of this cloaked and hooded, walking embodiment of slaughter. The axe cut deep and easily, flesh and bone was torn through without effort, a combination of fancy footwork and deft movements let the figure duck around and deflect the beast's boulderlike balls of destruction.

It was an inevitability really, the beast's body seemed to fade away as a final strike decapitated the monster. It's towering mass was gone, with nothing but a small red orb left behind. The axe changed form into the black figure. The odd figure-that-was-once-an-axe gripped the glowing orb and swallowed it whole. The wielder turned and approached him, he could see her now... yes, her, it was hard to make out any distinct features, but the narrowness of her chin and thick blond hair atleast gave him the knowledge that the figure that approached him was not a walking incarnation of death. No, they were just an agent of Death.

The woman offered him her hand; Garo took it without hesitation, they had helped him... Well, not directly, but nevertheless her and her partners actions saved his life... And showed him something that made him completely forget about his dad... Dammit... That still sore memory ran through his mind and shook him to his core as he took her hand. The moment their fingers touched, his soul seemed to well up into a range; the woman pulled back, wincing as his mind when blank. Tired... Too tired... Garo's body was numb, his hearbeat was erratic; and after one more beat, his vision went dark.

When Garo came to, the two hooded figures had lay him down in the back of an old, classic car; the leather was cold on his cheeks. He awoke with a start, frantic and feaful; but they calmed him down, explained who they were and what they were to him; likely explaining more than they were supposed to. From their short contact, the Meister had figured out that Garo had some potential, a strong soul, albeit crippled by something unseen. That void. A thorough inspection revealed him as a meister; and they offered him a choice, go with them to DWMA, or go home. Considering where he is now, a student at DWMA; it was obvious what his choice had been.

He had chosen to go home.

For a few hours. He had to go, he could fill his empty void... Atleast he thought he could at DWMA; but he wouldn't leave. Not without saying goodbye. He was not his father.

Garo remembered holding his mother tight, telling her he had to go, but one day, one day he would could back; he opened up to her about the void inside of him, that empty hole in the shape of his father. He told her that once that had filled, once he felt whole; he would come back.

It's been 3 years since then.

Soul Perception Psi is a practitioner of Type 1 Soul Perception. As trained skill, Psi has learned to adapt his perception to either a close or long range, but not both simultaneously. The closer a target is, the more clearly he can perceive it, however, this clarity is still a step under more skilled Type 1 users and especially Type 2. The maximum distance he can perceive a Soul Signature is approximately 45 meters.

Soul Force While Psi does not specialize in the direct application of his Wavelength, he is capable of externalizing it even as far to create ripples in the air and crackles of electricity upon demand. However, his overall proficiency with the skill and its potency are lacking in comparison to more apt and experienced users.

Hand-to-Hand Combat Psi has been consistently successful in the generalized martial arts taught by the DWMA, but doesn't focus on or study one particular style. Instead, he adapts to several and more so adapts them to utilize his abilities. As a martial artist and duelist, he is not the greatest, but his fighting style shines when it is allowed to augment his abilities--or vice versa. Psi prefers to end a fight with a single blow if he can, and if not, wither his opponent down until he can land a finishing blow. His techniques and style are not optimal for longer fights as many of his abilities either have a high cost of mana or utilize a one-time element of surprise. His fighting style reflects this in that as one would adapt to him, the very core of his style begins to break down.

Soul Resonance Psi is completely capable of Soul Resonance with a weapon partner, but generally chooses not to. In regards to his Resonance and pairing abilities, Psi is a Utility Meister capable of easily pairing with most or even multiple weapons. The drawback to this, however, is that Psi cannot channel his magical properties with his wavelength while using a weapon. While some Dubious Mages can, Psi has never been successful. This does not weaken the overall strength of his Soul Resonance techniques, but it is a drawback. Any ability that would require channeling of his Magic using his wavelength, such as Spitha, also will not work while wielding a weapon. Most importantly, if Psi wields a weapon in his right hand where he wears the Band of Psi, he can no longer utilize it. For this reason, he prefers one-handed weapons. This also acts as a drawback to his status as a Utility Meister as wielding two weapons would stop him from using the Band of Psi. Notably, Psi capable of Chain Resonance, but has little experience in using it.

"The ring, also, is mightier than the sword."
Band of Psi is the ring Psi wears at all times. After studying various forms of alternative magic, including Enchanting, Psi appropriated the use of a magical catalyst for his spells. This ring, forged by him and imbued with part of his soul, assists in channeling his spells and acts in a similar fashion to a set of Enchanter's Gloves. Psi has reduced the need for incantations and further increased their potency when used with the aide of this ring. Furthermore, the ring reduces the mana costs of most spells and allows them to be controlled to a greater degree as well as even cast faster at times. As the ring is bound to him, if lost, it can be called back to him and will overpower most other forces due to this. The drawback, however, is the loss of all of these benefits without the Ring; Psi has trained the last 4 years using only the ring and is nowhere near optimal without it.

"No, I don't need a lantern. Why?"
Magical Constructs Psi spent a significant amount of time studying various alternative forms of magic. One of the types he emphasized was enchanting. While he is not an enchanter, he is capable of similar feats using light created from his ring. While he can create constructs of various sizes and even change their appearance to create life-like illusions, these constructs are significantly weaker than his channeled constructs which are tethered to his ring with a beam of light. The tether to his ring is a golden hue. More complex constructs, such as those of people or animals are considerably less durable than simple constructs such as walls or domes.

"The light of the sun shall be my blade."
Ilios is a branch of solar magic utilized by Psi. The most fundamental Ilios technique is a blast of solar energy in a straight line. The blast itself has no concussive force, but burns at a heat of 2,400 degrees Fahrenheit. If unfocused, this technique can instead create a wide-spread flare of blinding light.

Iliakí Aktína is a more powerful solar spell requiring incantation. The use of this spell results in an orb being conjured in front of Psi and after charging three concentric circles blasting a large beam with a radius of roughly 30 centimeters at a target. This blast actually has a force of around 20,000 newtons, or several punches, but more importantly is only 5 meters in length. However, each meter of the blast contains 100,000 degrees Fahrenheit of raw heat with the very surface of the blast being 10,000 degrees Fahrenheit--equivocally the heat of the surface of the sun.

Spítha is a spell that alters how Psi's wavelength is expressed. After this spell is activated, mana is merged with his wavelength at his palms and the result is a Soul Force technique that creates sparks and flashes upon each strike. The heat of each strike reaches 800 degrees Fahrenheit on its own, which is roughly the heat of 'cool' fire. The sparks can cause burns or set clothing afire as well as act as a distraction.​

"If the sun is my sword, the moon is my shield."
Fengári is a branch of lunar magic utilized by Psi. Fengári works by altering Magical Constructs created by Psi on a fundamental level. All light emit from his ring becomes a dull silver and he can no longer alter its color. However, he can now tether multiple constructs and the constructs are now considerably more durable. While the effects of Fengári are in place, Ilios spells cannot be used.

Katoptrízo is a spell that alters any surface created by Fengári to reflect a magical or wavelength attack back at its original user. There are limitations on how powerful the spell or attack can be and only one reflective area can be used at a time, albeit it can be activated last-second and deactivated at will. Any ability that would normally break the construct normally will also overpower the reflection entirely.

Moonwalk originally called me ta pódia, Psi renamed this for obvious reasons. This ability allows Psi to walk through the surface of any construct created by Fengári and reappear at another construct. The limitations of this ability are then obvious: he must have two constructs created and thus is limited to the range of his constructs.

Kerí Kai Ptósi is a spell that allows Psi to either "wax" or "wane" an ability if cast nearby one of his Fengári constructs. A waxed ability will have its strength amplified and a waned ability will have some of its strength siphoned. Waxing abilities are stronger if more abilities have been waned and Psi cannot wax his own abilities.

Eclipse is a spell that requires a specific incantation to cast and a continued on to channel. This ability creates a transparent, moon shaped dome around an area and absorbs the abilities cast within it to the absolute best Psi can do. This spell requires Psi remain still and if the ability in the dome is a spell, he gains mana back equal to what he absorbs. If the dome is overpowered, it cracks, breaking down and refunding Psi back with half of the mana he would have attained if he would have attained any. Once Eclipse is finished, Psi can not use Fengári for the next 5 -10 minutes pending on exhaustion.

Biography


Altair is the third child of what was once a fairly average family. They never had much. Even before their family became a litter of six kids and two exhausted adults. But, what they had counted and they grew up appreciating all of it. Probably nothing more than food. Sit-down dinners were pretty common and sharing all sorts of things at the dinner table became habit. It wasn't until years later and they grew older that the dinners became colder and a fewer.

Altair basically spent his childhood being sculpted by the Rebel War. He and the older of his siblings did their best, along with their parents, to keep their younger siblings from being flushed into a world none of them really deserved. The panic. The lack of security. Even a home was hardly a home. There became a point where no amount of support felled the fear. It was war. It was war and the only way to stop it was for one side to win.

That's what Altair grew up with.

Even with the war ended, it didn't end with celebration. It ended with headcounts. It ended with tracking down your loved ones to see who was left. It ended with bodies put in the ground and tears being shed you didn't understand yet. To be brutally honest, things that Altair to this day still didn't understand. His family just... stopped talking. Talking about the pain. About the war. It became a subject no one really brought up.

The adjustment was rough. Living in war and panic is what Altair grew up with. Those silent dinners didn't help any. His siblings finally started to return to normal school and that was probably the worst for him. All of these others just going about their day. Pretending it was fine. Acting they didn't just bury thousands of bodies and shed an ocean of tears for people they didn't know for reasons they didn't understand for a war they didn't even want.

It ate at him. A lot.

Among the struggle and conflict--the constant fighting--Altair found himself capable in magic. It wasn't unheard of in his family. The very core of his magic was light. At a young age, Altair was capable of conjuring bright, blinding lights and focusing it into magnified rays. All sorts of things were caught fire. Mostly accidental. Much to the disdain of their mother, Altair was given a chance to go to the DWMA to learn to control his magic. He could have went anywhere, but the post-war landscape pushed magic users towards the reformed DWMA as an attempted sign of peace.

But there. Oh there... Altair loved the DWMA. There were answers. There was passion. No silence. No one pretending the war didn't happen. He was eleven at the time and it was like seeing the world in color for the first time. Needless to say, he insisted on staying. It was as if he became a new person. He was curious. He was intelligent. He excelled in classes, he garnered friends. In the next four years, Altair blossomed into a Meister and Mage that his family could be proud of.

During his younger gears in the DWMA, Altair focused on being a Meister. He felt a lot of pride in working with others. Perhaps because his family quietly shut down, perhaps just because he became somewhat of a socialite. Either way, Altair became a One-Star Elite by the time he was sixteen. Then opened up a new door for him. Advanced classes. He had dabbled in magic for a while, too. He often used constructs of light or beams of light to augment him in battle with a weapon, and he honestly went through a fair set of weapons. His original partner went on to become a fully-fledged Death Weapon. Altair, however, insisted on training new weapons.

This probably came out for the best as once he achieved the rank of Two-Star Beta, he started focusing more heavily on Magic. Within a year, he forged the Band of Psi after researching enchanting. And, over the next four years, he continued to develop his style, branching out from the core elements of light and empowering himself with the solar light of the sun and eventually giving himself more utility with lunar spells. His large arsenal of powerful spells and his ability to perform well in a team with any weapon garnered him quite a few missions, many of which he became a leader in. His time as a leader and ability to shift from both being the star of a team to supporting stronger allies ultimately earned him the rank of Two Star Elite after hunting down Mock Kishin with successful hunting parties.

Soul Perception Professor Paul is noted to have one of the more powerful forms of Soul Perception beyond clarity and distance and into empathy. Paul has reached the point of Soul Perception that he can actively feel the fluctuations in a Soul to read emotions, detect lies, and even dive deeper into finding hidden elements to a person. His Perception has another notable feature in that he can perceive all forms of mana, not just a Soul Wavelength. This allows him to perceive magical fields, madness wavelengths, and even external wavelength projections.

Utility Meister Paul is a perfect Utility Meister in that he can utilize nearly any weapon that does not reject him and use multiple weapons simultaneously. This possibly ties into his unique Wavelength.

Musical Wavelength While Paul can utilize his wavelength in various forms, he possesses a unique perspective (not to be confused with perception) of Souls and their wavelengths as they would correspond with music and music theory. As each soul has a soul signature and a specific frequency, it would thus correspond with a musical note and its frequency. Not only it's frequency, but it's duration, intensity, peak and trough variations, so on and so forth. This perspective of wavelengths corresponding with what would effectively be sound waves created the model that Paul used to quickly rise through the ranks of the DWMA, learn new techniques, and adapt his own wavelength. The fruition of this ability comes in the form of his ability to "alter" his wavelength for certain purposes in a process he calls tuning. His attuned wavelength can take on the aspects of a Healing Wavelength, Anti-Magic Wavelength, Anti-Demon Wavelength, Anti-Madness Wavelength, Screech Wavelength, or Empowerment Wavelength; notably, his personal wavelength can only be attuned to one specific type of wavelength, and is generally weaker than what would be a "natural" wavelength with the exception of his Empowerment Wavelength. Some wavelengths cannot be replicated due to being "outside of his range", such as Madness Wavelengths, Alpha Wavelengths and certain Magical Wavelengths.

Soulwave Projection is a simple portmanteau of Soundwave and Soul Projection. Paul is capable of projecting his wavelength through sound waves created by an instrument. This phenomenon is not unheard of as a similar variation was possessed by Soul Evans (Eater). This ability is foremost useful when he Attunes his Soul, as he can heal or empower others, use it Offensively with Screen Resonance, assist with Chain Resonance, and give those receptive to his wavelength elements of an offensive wavelength, such as Anti-Magic, Anti-Demon, or Anti-Madness.

Martial Prowess Ten years ago, Paul might have been some kind of badass in that he met the DWMA standards for a Three-Star in the Martial Arts field. In the last decade, he hasn't been in an actual fight at... all. Hand-to-Hand combat has never been a strong suit for Paul, and since he is no longer tested in it, it's by far not one.

Chain Resonance Paul is a master of chain resonance and currently holds the DWMA record for the largest sustained resonance at fifteen people. Even without a weapon, Paul benefits greatly from and more so is a major benefit to those that resonate with him. While his Soulwave Projection is impractical due to not always having a musical instrument, Chain Resonance bypasses that and allows him to grant the benefits of whatever wavelength he is attuned to to every person in his resonance. This ability has been used to great effect with other similar Resonance abilities, such as the Alpha Resonance of Apex, creating incredibly powerful teams of Three Star Meisters if the need ever arose.

Wavelength Projection not to be confused with Soulwave Projection, Paul is capable of releasing small amounts of his wavelength in external, ranged bursts that take the form of small, blue orbs of varying sizes. These Projections are not intended to deal damage, but to interfere with the abilities of others. These Projections can possess elements of any of the offensive elements he may attune himself to, but more importantly, they can "unravel" or hit the weakspot in abilities. Paul describes this as the "most advanced form of rejection" possible. In testing, Paul was able to "shatter" the Resonance of a Scythe Meister using all but Kishin Hunt and has been able to force gun shots from Lord Symmetry to dissipate after hit despite a vast power difference. This ability is the culmination of his Soul Perception working in tandem with his ability to adjust his own wavelength. On a less offensive route, this ability can be used to shoot orbs capable of healing whomever they touch or empowering them, albeit to a far lesser degree than Chain Resonance.

Soul Force Paul is capable of using Soul Force and even Soul Menace, but rarely does so as it doesn't fit into any of his styles or desires. Paul can apply any of his attuned wavelengths to his Soul Force as well, but again, this is rarely done and is not a tenant of his abilities.








Biography
Professor Paul was obviously not always a professor. In fact, he started out like most: at the DWMA.

Paul was recruited at a relatively young age of just eleven. At this age, it was found that as he played music on the cheap, little, electric guitar he got for his birthday (and became decent), he could literally energize others unnaturally. It was found that he had a specific Wavelength called an Empowerment Wavelength; a rare wavelength variation, akin to a Healing Wavelength, capable of empowering those receptive to it. Not only that, Paul was capable of projecting his Wavelength through the sound waves created when he played guitar. This combination made him a rarity not seen since the likes of Soul Evans.

Paul took on a formal education with the DWMA from a young age in an arrangement where his mother tutored him at home for two weeks and he stayed in Youth Dorms at the DWMA for a month until summer when he had his standard break. This allowed the DWMA to help cultivate his talents--and they were aplenty. Paul was fairly capable in his standard classes, although he had a great disdain for history and math, but he excelled where he actually enjoyed the subject matters; which specifically encompassed music theory and the arts. This was such a prevalent theme that history was taught to him through the perspective of art, and in doing so, he became far more receptive to the teaching. Math still escaped him, but with enough effort, he was capable of scoring high marks in Geometry and Algebra. He opted not to take anything too advanced. Subjects like science and literature were hit and miss depending on the subjects at hand, but the DWMA youth instructors were trained specifically to handle tailoring an educational path for young minds.

In short, Paul was given every resource by the professional educators at the DWMA to embrace knowledge and apply it. He finished the equivalent of a real high school education by the age of fifteen and went on to take on additional classes in more advanced Music Theory and Plasmology. Prior to this, it was already understood that he had a unique perspective of Souls and his Soul Perception was quite powerful. Upon actually teaching these subjects and testing these skills, it was proven just how much. Paul was nothing short of a prodigy, but he lacked the ambition to do anything other than learn. Paul was never pushed to become a Meister and he stated repeatedly he had no real intention of doing so. Paul didn't like combat.

However, the there was a level of insistence that if Paul continue his education with the DWMA, he had to become a formal Meister. So, reluctantly, he did. Paul was not the greatest combatant. While he could fight and even wield multiple weapons, he lacked the actual aggression needed for it. His formal education and desire really only to advance his learning also gave him a pompous, airy attitude that frankly pissed off those around him. It was clear from a young age that his intentions didn't align with most others. It wasn't until truly advanced training that Paul stood out again, as all of his impressive feats didn't matter much as a One-Star Meister.

Paul learned about resonance. All of the different forms of resonance, but mostly Chain Resonance. And, when he did, he found his place in the team. While he could be used as a "support" prior to this, there was no real place for a musician on a battlefield, so his musical talents were lackluster. However, it was found that his empowerment wavelength could be spread far and touch multiple people when applied to a Chain Resonance. This created a powerful tool as Chain Resonance already increased the power of a team. However, it taught Paul one other skill that would become one of the most fundamental skills in his arsenal: the ability to actively change his wavelength. One of the most difficult aspects of Chain Resonance is attempting to connect with the various wavelengths of others, which itself requires silencing ones own soul and making it match others. Paul found it possible (and relatively easy) to apply this concept to more than just resonance.

Paul found that by studying individuals with rare wavelengths, he could silence his own wavelength, then "tune it" to theirs. By the time he was a Two Star Elite in his early twenties, he was capable of tuning his wavelength to more than half of the rare wavelengths in the American Branch and various other impressive feats. His lack of skill in combat, which at this point was relegated to weapons training due to having a dozen or more partners in his life and mixed martial arts training based on DWMA standards, became more and more irrelevant. His skill set made him an invaluable member of any team. Which is why the DWMA made a rare offer: to finance his education as far as he wanted in turn for him becoming a teacher of Plasmology at the DWMA. This led to Paul being the first and only recipient of a PhD. in Plasmology; a completely arbitrary feat that even Frankenstein didn't accomplish (primarily because it was so absurd).

Paul has since taught various classes at the DWMA: art history, music, and Plasmology primarily. His nonchalant and calm demeanor earned him the moniker "Professor Paul" as opposed to the more formal use of his last name. Some find Paul to be a waste of talent as his field experience was limited due to his own lack of ambition to fight. Others find him a pompous elitist due to his focus on education. Some find his lackadaisical method of teaching inefficient and ineffective for most students. Despite all of that, he has taught nearly ten batches of students in the DWMA up until now, and those under his tutelage tend to go on to become elites; feats that some of his critics can't deny.
