So What’s This Story About?
The year is x780. Guild life goes on as it has for the past years. Members carry out their missions with excitement or boredom depending on the mission - as they usually would. Tension between Fairy Tail and Raven Tail seems to have come to a momentary calm in which the two guilds have simply agreed to avoid one another.

Current eyes watch three primary missions. Royce Obertuck - an S-Class criminal and former Raven Tail guildmaster - is being transferred to a higher security prison after multiple escape attempts; this transfer is one giant opportunity though. The question remains… who is lurking in the shadows to take advantage of it? Liam Portian - a scientist working in magic expansion - seeks to study a meteor that recently crashed. People have been disappearing near it, though. Can mages help him get his hands on it? More importantly, what else will they discover? Last, but not least, a demon book has been stolen. That’s never a good thing. Who runs with Book of Vongraw? What might they unleash and who might also seek these treasures?

These fates all draw nearer.

Something is coming, though. Can the world really expect to stay this calm when a solar eclipse - the first in centuries - hangs overhead? One thing is for sure: villains are not planning on allowing this calm to last.

Most importantly, will Fairy Tail be strong enough to face what’s coming? And will the other guilds be ready to aid them? Can the other guilds even afford not to?

Fates are eclipsing. The moon could very well darken them forever.

Roleplay Overview
An Introduction
Fairy Tail. Raven Tail. Sabertooth. Lamia Scale. Blue Pegasus.

All five legal guilds invite you to come join us in a new story. It’s not a different chapter because the old chapters never happened. Everything starts new, the history starts fresh, and the world has been wiped clean for new heroes to leave their marks on the planet, on the world.

In an alternate universe, everything has been changed so that nothing leftover from canon remains. (Well, almost nothing… xD). Each guild was founded at a new time, and although the dragons disappearance is still oddly associated with x777, don’t think that you know why, because I guarantee you don’t. Fairy Tail is not the rambunctious guild you know it as any longer. Maybe the energy of their pride remains, but they have much to prove before they can be the top guild in all of Fiore. Raven Tail was founded in a different way, but that familiar tension they share with their Fairy counterparts remains… and it’s boiling. How hot will it get before everything explodes?

Rules
Fairy Tail: Eclipse of Fates
Rules

  1. Please follow all RpNation rules. Any member violating them will be reported to site staff.

  2. All decisions by GMs are final! Anyone arguing with a GM will face whatever consequence the GMs decide.

  3. GMs for this roleplay are Lady Warlock Lady Warlock and @CelticHero37.

  4. Character sheets must be submitted in such a way that all GMs listed in the above rule can see them. If you submit a CS via PM to just one GM, it will be automatically denied.

  5. You may not post in character until you have received a PM stating that your character is approved.

    • GMs have up to two weeks to PM you in regards to your character sheet. If you do not receive something within two weeks of submitting a completed character, you may PM them. Please be sure to include all GMs in your PM.

    • If you submit a WIP character sheet, it is your responsibility to tag all GMs in the OOC when your character is complete in order to let them know your character is complete. The two weeks for the GMs to look over your character do not start until you tag them in the OOC if you submit a WIP character.

    • A like from both GMs does not always mean you are accepted. You MUST wait for the PM that says you’re accepted before you can assume that you are.

  6. Overpowered characters are not going to be accepted. This is completely and totally at the discretion of the GM.

    • For the start of the roleplay, there will only be one dragon slayer per guild. This may change if the roleplay becomes big enough.

    • Each guild can only have two S-Class mages - of which the Guild Master is one - and three A-Rank mages. All others mages must be B-Rank or lower.

    • Spots will NOT be reserved for anyone as a dragon slayer or mage of a certain rank. Spots are awarded based on order of acceptance. If you submit your character first, but it has a lot of problems that we need to ask you to fix, and someone else submits a character who is also a dragon slayer applying for the same guild with a completely acceptable CS, they will be accepted into that spot and you will not.

    • Lastly, each character may have two magic abilities unless they are a dragon slayer. Dragon slayers are limited to just one magic ability and that would be their slayer magic.

  7. There is no limit on how many characters you may have. However…

    • You must ask for GM permission before creating any character beyond your second.

    • You may not hold more than 1 S-Class/A-Rank spot.

    • You may not hold more than one dragon slayer spot.

  8. Grammar and spelling count. If we cannot understand what your character sheet is trying to say, we cannot accept it. Please use a program with spellcheck if at all possible. Perfection is not expected, but a middle school B+ level of grammar and spelling is expected.

  9. This is a detailed roleplay. All posts must be at least one paragraph of a minimum of 7 sentences.

  10. Please put all posts in the proper thread. No ooc comments go in the character thread, no character sheets in the OOC, no ooc comments in the IC threads and so on…

  11. You must be able to post within two weeks of being tagged.

    • If you cannot post within two weeks of being tagged, you must notify the person who tagged you and a GM in the OOC prior to the date you are expected to post by.

    • Failure to post or notify anyone will result in your character being controlled by a GM.

    • Any consequences that your character endures while under GM control are non-negotiable.

  12. No one aside from a GM may control another player’s character without permission. A GM will only control another player’s character if they a.) have not posted for two weeks and b.) have not notified anyone of an inability to post in the OOC.

Guild Hall Rules
Guild Hall Rules
Despite seeming like potentially chaotic pages, there are to be some rules in place to keep the guild halls mildly controlled and comprehensible. Please read these additional guidelines prior to posting in any of the guild halls.
  1. The guild halls are NOT mandatory roleplaying. If anyone does not wish to partaking in roleplaying via the guild halls, they are completely within their rights to do so.

  2. You cannot post for your character in the guild halls unless by their name it says “In the guild hall.” If your character is on an active mission, they cannot be in the guild hall at the same time.

  3. As a player, you cannot write a post in which some random person walks in and attacks the guild hall. Only a GM can make things like that happen.

  4. You can, however, create NPC townspeople of a non-magical nature. They can be mean and they could try stealing something or do other things of that nature, but they cannot have magic and they cannot have weapons capable of damaging the guild hall.

  5. The flow of time will probably be a bit messy in the guild halls and that’s just the way they are.

  6. As a mage from a different guild, you are permitted to go and visit the other guild halls. However, you must inform a GM and wait for the pages to be updated before you may do so.

  7. If you have any questions, ask in the OOC.

Lore
  • Fairy Tail: Eclipse of Fates
    Magical Guilds

    Fairy Tail:
Currently the smallest guild, it is recovering from many losses still that occurred during the Black Magic Fiasco and isn’t the most renowned either. Those that are in this guild, though, are the ones with a lot of heart, a lot of pride and a will that will never die.
    Sabertooth:
Like the animal itself, Sabertooth guild members are those who invoke fear, not by intent, but by the fact that their strength is easily recognizable and unquestionable. Sabertooth mages are known to be among the strongest in Fiore and their strength is the kind of strength you see.
    Blue Pegasus:
Although many would call it “too feminine” or “just plain silly,” these guild mages know how to get their jobs done. In fact, not only do they get the job done, but they manage to look good while doing so. Mages in Blue Pegasus are the kinds of mages you look at and say, “Yep! That’s a Blue Pegasus Mage.” It’s said in a good way, though.
    Lamia Scale:
Known for their strategies and intellect, Lamia Scale - although it sprung up most recently - is already a guild to be reckoned with and they have quite a few numbers already. These are the mages with a mind that guides them while their heart drives them.
    Raven Tail:
Originally rising to power when Royce Obertuck left Fairy Tail to create it, their power has since waned because of a rapid change of leadership that was forced upon them when Royce was arrested. Since then, there has been internal tension among guild members as some don’t agree with those who turned Royce in within the guild.

Ways to RP
Missions
Part of the everyday life of any guild mage, missions are the lifeblood of the roleplay. It is within missions that main events are set up, that trails are created leading to larger conflicts and mysteries, and missions also give mages an opportunity to meet. Rivalries can grow in missions, friendships can blossom, ties can be made, promises can be started and broken, and betrayals can ensue. Missions are meant to breathe a basic layout of life into the world of the roleplay.

Each mission will have it’s own storyline. These can be completely separate from the main overarching story, they can all be connected, or they can be specifically established for character development relating to elements of a particular character and/or group of characters. Each mission will be led by a GM although players can suggest ideas for mission and even be involved in their planning if they’d like. Players can suggest missions using the Mission Prompt Application page.

Players are able to sign up for missions using the Mission Prompt Board and then each mission is carried out in its own roleplay thread. Missions will function on a smaller scale to keep things manageable and therefore, each mission does have a limit on how many people can join it.
Main Stories
These are the epicness of the roleplay in a nutshell. Details from mission prompts collide, connections are made, and the allegiances everyone makes in the missions are put to ultimate tests to see who really means what they’ve said. Here is the time to pull out all the stops and to turn Fiore into a battleground of awesomeness. Of course, no time is a bad time to meet new people and connections can be made here as well. This is where there is room for everyone to grow.

Main Stories are developed by the GMs and planned out prior to even the start of the missions themselves. Missions are intentionally created to have connections to the planned main story and each player in the main story is encouraged to have their character help bind those connections more fiercely. Each character will have opportunities to make choices within a main story and these choices could very well alter the course of the story. Choose your own adventure!

Main Stories automatically involve all active players in the roleplay and during Main Stories, all missions will close. As you can probably guess, main stories are important. Each will be carried out in it’s own roleplay thread.
Guild Halls
It wouldn’t really be a Fairy Tail Roleplay without the ability to roleplay out the casual events that unfold in the Guild Halls. These are settings and threads specific to each guild and it’s where mages hang out when they aren’t out on missions trying to save all of Fiore or out competing against mages from other guilds. More often than not, the guild halls are where members can interact with their guildmaster and mages can also train in their guild halls.

Although roleplaying in the guild halls is optional, it is a great way to develop relationships between characters and to get to know your fellow roleplayers. Feel free to use the OOC to plan out guild hall shenanigans as well! That’s always fun.
Side Adventures
Side Adventures are meant for roleplayers who tend to move more at their own pace or for roleplayers who joined at a time where all the missions were closed and still wished to roleplay their characters. Side Adventures are independently run, which means that GMs don’t plan them out and they don’t oversee them too much either. Instead, side adventures are meant to be created and written by players. They can be written in small groups or by single people.

These are great opportunities for members to contribute and build more lore onto the roleplay that ties in to their own character. Sometimes, side adventures might create villains who could later be featured in missions or main stories and sometimes side adventures are just meant to be fun in and of themselves.

They can be historical or current in nature. Please note that you cannot be in a current side adventure and simultaneously be in a mission or active in the guild halls. To start a side adventure, please fill out a Side Adventure Application.
