Realistic or Modern Riverbrook Insane Asylum

(Just an NPC anyone can grab councellor ms. sands)

Ms. Sands sat uncomfortably looking at everyone starting to get a little...on edge. She was the group therapist for the floor, not one of the fancy doctors here. And there were some...interesting....yes interesting people she had met over the years. Noella was seeing ghosts, Piper was spouting on and on about blood everywhere, one girl was demandng coats. It was all too much.

"Yes Christopher, I think that might be a good idea. Just remember, we are all special and unique. God Bless."

Piper was still rubbing the Purrell on her hands as she looked at Chris. "I didn't see anyone hurting people here. Are they invisible?" she asked taking what he meant about hurt as a literal statement....not what he meant that others had headaches as well.

Anderson just smiled as Ria spouted her nonsense. Her attention seeking really. He put the brief case on his lap, drumming his fingers on the lid. "Now, Ria. You and I both know I'm not giving you nail polish or any request you ask. You'd find a way to make something that's child proof cause you physical harm. I think you believe you're sane and all of us here at Riverwood are beneath you. To a degree. But I really want to hear it from you, why do you think you're here?"

"Next activity, Ms. Sands?" Annaliese looked at the lady, she looked extremely uncomfortable being in the room of weirdos like us. Anna agreed with what the tapper was saying, she wanted to leave this group, this room, this facility at that. There was an annoying buzzing noise in the room that wouldn't go away and had been there for the past hour that they all sat in quiet.

"You shouldn't self project, Doc. I know that you hate being here just as much as I do. You hate having to teach us crazies, to watch over us when mister big brain should be a head doctor at some research place. I am sane, dearest doctor. Sane as you are. I'm here because I like things other people don't like." She flopped back onto the bed, staring at the boring ceiling. "You always tell me 'You're here because you have no boundaries, Ria. You don't understand that the things you do for attention really hurt people." She quoted in a monotone voice.

Theodore looked at the wall. he felt it was getting close his break time and he felt the anxiety creep over him as it always did at this time. he prepared himself as he always did, he stuck his head in his pillow and hugged it tight to his chest and counted from 0 to infinity in his head until his visit from the nurse was over.

A loud buzzer sounded as one of the many gates form the offices and the recreation room opened. One closed then the other opened. Doctor jay walked through these many metal gates, walking into the rec room and hearing the statement "Next activity Ms. Sands." Dr. Jay took this opportunity

" Surprise guest!" he said in a light hearted and kind way

He pulled up one of the many chairs in the room and joined the circle of teens in the middle of the room. He crossed his legs and took roll in his head 'Ria isn't here. Must be acting up again'

"How is everyone today" he said knowing most wouldn't answer.

"cold." Annaliese said from underneath her sweatshirt, inside her bubble it was nice and cozy and there was no way she was leaving. Seeing Dr. Jay wasn't really a surprise, she always saw him at least once a day whether it be at group or walking down the hallway. Anna pops the bottom half of her face out of the sweatshirt and looks around the room, waiting for someone else to give an answer so she wasn't the only one. She could feel the anxiety building up of being the only person to have spoken up, and it wasn't a good feeling.

"What was that Annalises? Can you speak up?" he said knowing she said cold, but wanting her to gain a little more confidence. He reaches in his pocket and jiggles it a bit, making a static sound. IT was a piece of candy that he always carries around giving it to anyone and everyone

"You know I have a present to give to anyone who can tell me anything... just say something" He pulls out the piece of candy and holds it out for everyone to see. It was a peppermint, his favorite.

He knew he was treating them like children, but sometimes it works and 'who doesn't like candy' he thought

The tapping only seemedto excelerate when the man came in,Christopher's grip tightening on the metal chair even further."ssssir..."clenched jaw again,he barely got the words out."i...understand that we...are not the most adjusted teens you know...but i must ask that you...refrain from talking to us like...children!"ebery pause had chris containing himself with another jerk of metal.if there was one thing he could not stand,it was being talked down to. He may be cuffed, but he was starting to wonder how much damage to a doctor he could do with a folding chair...

Piper squirted more Purrell on her hands and rubbed them. SHe had more rubber gloves in her room...when she got those, she would feel more comfortable. Doctor Jay had come in taking a seat and began to talk, holding out a wrapped candy, the rapper itself probably containing so many germs...her stomach turned at the thought of what the candy was like then. And what kind of monster would give that to you to eat...

Moving uncomfortably in her chair she lightly raised her hand confused. "Sir....why does the word 'something' warrant you to give a dirty piece of candy to someone?" Now Piper wasn't being an asshole or a smart ass...this was a general question with earnest sincerity and curiosity.

(Trust me, Anderson would never be that sympathetic to a patient, he's a sadist at heart the cruel bastard, never would try to convince someone suicide was bad, in fact he might say shit to help stir you to do it further)

"On the contrary, Ria. I quite love it here," His smile would seem...normal to the average person. But there were twinges of something darker, malicious, as he gave it. He did love it here. He had free range to experiment on whoever he pleased and no one did a damn thing about it. It was his presence here alone that brought Riverbrook funding and money to keep its building running.

He also loved people like Ria. Ones that were so blatantly stupid and cruel....they were the perfect subjects. No one really cared if they got hurt, or even listened to what they had to say. They were crazy, and crazy and mean gets you no points in the friend department. You might as well be alone in the forest screaming for someone to help you as the axe murderer comes swinging. You and the murderer both know...no one's fucking coming. People like Ria...well they gave that opportunity to him.

He continued to tap on the briefcase. "I do agree. you're seeking attention. Never held enough as a child? Mother and Father didn't quite understand the concept of giving a child simple affection? I find these are common for people who act out like you do. It's funny, because honestly it's counter-productive to actually get what you want. What do you want out of life, Ria?"

This was like a tiger, playing with the lamb who believed herself to be a wolf.

"I said I was cold. Can't you feel it." Annaliese snarled at the doctor. "dumbass." She cursed under her breath. She wasn't speaking up because she wanted the shitty piece of candy, she was speaking up because someone else had also. It made her feel more comfortable, she looked at doctor Jay and spoke up again, "I'd be warmer as a dead corpse than I am right now." Anna snickered because it was partially true.

(Sorry if short on my phone)

Oli's wrists were rubbed raw from the tightened handcuffs. He woke to the sound of car doors slamming and opening. He was pulled out of the car, not forcefully, but more like helping him. He looked at the building in front of him and read 'RIVERBROOK'. Turn back. Run. Don't go in there. Not safe, not safe. Go. The voices whispered, he tried ignoring them. Once inside they dulled down to a small buzzing in the back of his mind. He followed, glancing through his hair at the halls he was walking.

"Attention seeking, yes, not from you idiots though, not from my parents. I could care less about them, or about the people in this world. Anyways, doctor, why are you here today? Why am I in solitary again? Please do tell me, all I did was ask to go to the bathroom." She said innocently as she scratched the bandage on her wrist; a little memento from the pen incident. "In fact, lately I've been behaving very well. I eat my meals, sit quietly during movie nights, even painted something in art therapy yesterday. I haven't bitten anyone in a whole three weeks, and I haven't suffocated my roommate in her sleep for snoring, and let's be honest; even if I do cause trouble I never seriously hurt people." Her eyes narrowed as she looked at the doctor with his damn arrogant smirk, like a cat playing with a mouse. "Unlike some people here."

Noella snapped back to her senses a moment later and stared at her hands for a moment. "Um, if I may....I-I don't think someone would t-talk just because of c-candy." She looked up and stared at the new person. "W-We're not kids after all!"

Don't speak, not a word. Quiet, quiet. Shh. They aren't like us. They hate us. Oliver started tearing up from the words, he wanted to scream. Worthless. Useless. Oli grabbed the sides of his head, quieting them. "Kids....?" He questioned. He found an empty chair and sat down, staring at the wall in front of him. "I don't wanna be here" he mumbled to himself.

Alice looked out the window of the car as they approached the asylum. "Alice!" Her mother yelled as she snapped back into reality. The car pulled into the asylum and two guards approached the car, opening it and escorting Alice inside. Alice kicked and screamed and struggled trying to break free and run but they overpowered her dragging her into the front room. "Fuck" She mumbled glancing. "Well I guess I'm stuck here" She sighed. A nurse then approached. It was too dark in the room to make out any distinct feautures in the nurses face but she had a calming voice. She quickly showed Alice around then led her to the reading room. Alice picked up a copy of The Scarlett Letter and sat down curling up into a ball in the corner and reading without a word.

Finn quietly walked out of his room in the asylum. He had just awoken from a nap. He gently rubbed his eyes looking around at all the patients. They were such a sad sight to behold, they were dull, lifeless almost.

Theodore heard people in the rec room down the hall. He wished he could see it. See someone. See anyone....but what would they think aboit him?... Theodore scootched over so he was just before the light shining through the high window. He raised his hands and began to make shadow puppets on the wall next to him. He made a story in his head to go along with his wall puppet show. He did this often to keep from goin mad in his silent prison. If he could just have someone... One person... He would stay in this silent white room forever.

Finn was lonely so he stopped by a room gently knocking on Theodore's door. Theodore was the only person who seemed a lot like him but they'd never really talked. "Hey Finn" He said softly through the door "Do you mind if I come in?". His voice sounded highly feminine when he spoke but it is was it is.

Theodore heard the knocking at his door. This gave him a bunch of confusion....and anxiety. This had never happened before. No one had ever tried to communicate with him. He quickly turned around to see someone at the window in the door. He coupdnt see this person well. It clearly easnt a nurse or a doctor . otherwise they would jave known the door was locked and that communication wasnt allowed between theodore and others. Theodore quickly walked over to the door and leaned down against it so he would be less visible. " wh-.......w-who are you...." He said clutching his pillow to his chest.

Emma was rushed into the asylum and placed in a cell. She was knocked out, and no one wanted to be around her when she woke up.

Finn heard a calm voice from the other side of the door and a faint smile grew on his face "I-It's Finn. I'm stuck in here too and it gets really lonely. The doctors and staff don't really like me communicating with other patients because I can be clingy.. but I don't care. You seem nice and I figured you probably need someone just as much as i do"

When Emma woke up, she started screaming very loudly."IM DEAD I'M DEAD THEY PUT ME IN HERE WHEN I'M DEAD! PUT ME BACK IN THE GROUND! THEY'VE COVERED ME OVER! THEY KNOW I'M DEAD! AHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Theodore slowly arose from the ground and came face to face with the person just outside his room. He had a sad look and didnt look whoever it was in the face. He just looked at the floor of the hallway through the glass. ".....you shouldbt be here... Its not safe....youll only get us in trouble.... "Theodore bent down and picked up his pillow and walked back to the center of his locked room and sat on the floor drain clutching his pillow. " the doctor says i shouldnt talk to people anyway...says ill get sick....

"Fine... If you want me to leave.. I'll go.. " Finn sighed "but this might be your only opportunity to make a friend in this place..."
