The best thing about Lucas's thought process that I like writing is that it never ONCE crosses his mind that "maybe Vernon doesn't know me and is just assuming things based off a bad experience someone else had and the fact that I don't really emote much"

It's immediately "I'M THE ABSOLUTE WORST AND EVERY CRITICISM I EVER GET IS 100% CORRECT"
