I am sitting astride the horns of a dilemma with this since I'm playing a minotaur. Ha!

Wonderblue Wonderblue Any ideas on a starting date? I understand that with the holidays coming up that things are probably crazy for a lot of people, so if its not for a while, I get it.

It primarily depends on when everyone gets their characters made. The holidays do offer a lot more computer access and less stress since I don't have many classes. I could start as soon as next week or wait a while. I'm fairly lax, if you can't tell.

Probably George Probably George
I hate to be picky, but how do you get the Artifice Domain?

The Domains and Subdomains for Sarenrae are: Fire, Glory, Good, Healing, Sun, Agathion, Day, Heroism, Light, Resurrection, Restoration.

Psychie Psychie you might want to list the base form of your Eidolon

I like your Eidolon, and I think he and Wildlimb, my Crawling Vine could get along well...
Had not thought to do that, but I'll add it to the sheet. Thank you.

Probably George Probably George I'd pick the Healing and Fire Domains. The Fire one gives you a fire bolt. I believe its 3 + your Wisdom modifier times per day, doing a d6 + 1 per two cleric levels you have.

Just make sure you keep the Healing Domain. Once you hit level 6, you add an extra 50% to the amount healed by your spells. A very handy thing to have.

Lol I've played DnD back in the day, but I've been out of that system for so long I am having to be coached in the tabletop game I'm in right now. It seems ok, but I don't see it as that much better or worse than Pathfinder.

I'm re-looking at my domain spells, and since I am going fire, wouldn't fireball be better than produce spell? It looks like we need more aoe than single target damage.

You won't be able to cast Fireball until 5th level.

Fire is a great offensive domain, but don't forget that both Clerics and Druids get some nice AOE spells at higher levels.

Glory and Heroism are great if you want to be more of a support character, Heroism more so, since at 8th level you can give allies in 30 feet of you the effects of Heroism for a number of rounds per day equal to your level as a cleric.

Sun is amazing if you think we'll face lots of undead. Your channels do more damage to them, and they do not add their Channel Resistance to save against it, and at 8th level, you get an ability that every undead within 30 feet of you when it is activated suffers automatic damage.

There is lots of great stuff for a Cleric in that role.

Clerics are amazing as support, though they can also be amazing as front-line fighters, but that only happens at higher levels, and with the right spells.
If you want a support role, then Heroism is amazing, in my opinion. Especially with Healing, as healing allows you to keep us in the fight, and Heroism allows you to help us through the fight. The Healing Domain Spells are less useful, since you can always change a spell you memorized into a Cure spell, so that leaves you with the Heroism Domain Spells, that are good for support.
You might also consider investing in Spell Focus (Conjuration) and Augment Summoning, and use such spells on occasion to add a combatant, especially if you can add flanking.

Augment Summoning is awesome. It adds +4 Str and +4 Con to every creature you summon for the duration.

Actually, for a Summoner it is less useful...

While his Eidolon is summoned, he cannot use the Summon Monster spell-like ability... and Augment Summoning doesn't even apply to spell-like abilities.

Sorry...

As a Summoner, you need to either invest in your Eidolon, the better to keep him alive as long as possible, or to ditch the Eidolon and invest in your ability to Summon Monsters.
If you want to invest in your Eidolon, you can choose Feats like Extra Evolution, Resilient Eidolon and Summoner's Call, or change your race to a Half-Orc or a Half-Elf, or an Oread. Each has an Archtype centered around the Eidolon.
The Half-Orc has the Blood God Disciple, which gains temporary power from eating the creatures it vanquishes.
The Half-Elf has the Wild Caller, which gains more Evolutions, but cannot make use of some of the more supernatural Evolutions, and you're stuck with Summon Nature's Ally instead of Summon Monster.
The Oread has the Shaitan Binder, where your Eidolon starts resembling more of a Genie as you gain levels.

If you wanna 'ditch' the Eidolon and focus on your Summoned Monsters, you can take the Master Summoner. your Eidolon will be half as effective as other Summoners, but even if you have it summoner, you can have one Summon Monster active, and you can use Summoner Monster 5 + Cha Bonus times per day.

I had not thought about the Summon Monster ability like that. That's food for thought for the future of my character.

Sherwood Sherwood

A few minor nitpicks with your sheet...
You have AC 24, because you have Shield Focus which adds +1 to your Shield bonus.
And I think you miscalculated your stats, because with the ability modifiers, your Int or Cha should be 6...

The Shield Focus Feat is on my 'to get' list, and is not yet purchased, but thank you for pointing that out. I will double check my stats now.

Wonderblue Wonderblue Any idea on when a IC thread will be up? It might help to motivate the stragglers to get their sheets done if they see some player interaction going on.
