Knott listened and watched intently, nodding when appropriate- sometimes to acknowledge and sometimes to agree. The new information was enlightening to them. They hadn't realized the possibility that plants did much more than grow places, let alone communicate with even a goddess of nature.
They had much to think of, not only of the present but of the future: A future where they weren't impaired in the least by sunlight, and where they had the power to raise an army, but most of all a future in which they didn't hate being what they were.
"You think we could lead an army?" They were beginning to believe that they were on their way to greatness, not merely doing what they were supposed to do, but excelling at it.
They looked around the room once more, this time as though they belonged.
