The city was so peaceful at night, yet it had a sort of life to it that made it seem like an entirely different place than what it was in the morning. Riku made her way to the local buffet, finishing up what was left of her frappuccino, she figured she could throw the can away once she got there when suddenly Bang! thr sound nearly made her jump put of her skin when she noticed one of the street lights had blown out in every since of the word, glass flew everywhere cauasing her to step back in reaction, a natural instinct to the avoid the dangers of sharp glass flying through the air. She'd known for it to happen a few times in her apartment but never once had she seen it happen to street light. Even when it happened in her apartment if the light had a cover, the bulb might shatter but not the cover. However here it all just shattered, cover an all...very strange indeed, but she shrugged it off as one of life's little surprises, one of those things you had to see to believe, but nothing that out of the ordinary, she was sure there was an explanation for it. Snbe saw a boy standing right next to the light so out of concern she walked over to him, slowly over the shards of glass, hearing then crunch underneath her feet, scraping against the sidewalk as she moved "Hey, are you okay, did any of it hit you?" She asked, tilting her head, trying to get a good look at his face to make sure the glass hadn't scratched him up.

Jo just blankly stared at the shards, which were once able to cut his skin, now laying on the street, immobile. He couldn't get that simple picture together - the lamp exploded right when he looked at it. The thought that he, in any way possible, influenced that was mad, so he retorted to logical explanations. Maybe the lightbulb was handicapped, or the sudden change of voltage caused the equipment to go haywire. It could be explained from the scientific point of view, but... somehow, the teenager right here was sure this wasn’t the case.
Did he really make it?

"Oh, no- no, I'm completely fine" He would quickly say something appropriate for this situation - which was, of course, very interesting - and would stare somewhere. In pitch black darkness of the far end of the street? Possibly. Just to avert his eyes from the woman.

Riku quirked her eyebrow at the man, not because she didn't believe that he was okay, but more so his odd behavior, he seemed to be doing hius his damnedest not to look at her for some reason. It was usually natural instinct to look at someone when they started talking to you, especially someone you didn't already know, or at least polite at the least. It felt kind of rude of him, not to look at her when he was talking to her, but she wasn't going to make a big fuss about it with a stranger in the middle of the sidewalk, especially not while she was still starving. She sighed and shrugged "Well, if you say so" she said and turned to walk away back on her way to the buffet, taking care not to step on too much glass as she made her way out of the warzone, she didn't want to have to pick glass out of her soles when she got home.

"Okay, yeah, have a nice evening" Jo pushed some words out of his mind, straight to his lungs, and out of his mouth. For some unknown reason, it was getting difficult to talk. As if his thoughts just vanished, or were dispersed like mist on some flat surface. Quickly, as if to check if she was still there, he would glance the other way and- Why was she going straight to the buffet he was heading to? This social interaction was already pushed to its limits of stupidity and awkwardness, but this?! If there is an algorithm which was a basis for all occurrences and events, then it clearly... doesn't work too well. One would say, that in this current state, it failed. Severely failed.

Trying to make little to no noise, the human made his way towards the buffet. It wouldn't actually alert this girl, would it?

Riku makes her way to the buffet, throwing her can in the recycling bin before standing in line to pay her fee. She never thought she'd be one of those people that forgets to eat all day, but low and behold here she was. It didn't much matter at this point. Once she got to the front of the line she paid her $9.95 and went to get her plate, cup and utensils before going to get something to eat. Trying to figure out what she wanted, there were so many options to pick from, the meat especially was smelling particularly good to her today so she started in that direction.

Johann, at last, chose a more neutral behaviour, looking as if he didn't know anyone from the current lot of people located inside the buffet. He took the utensils calmly, almost distantly, and then headed for food. Meat smelled funny to him, so he retorted to something more vegetarian, as funny as it may sound.
He almost felt relieved when he settled down, with a plate and fork by his side, and started to eat.

Crysta got her food, she got a few veggies but mostly meat, she then sat down and started to chow down. It felt's so good to finally have food in her stomatch, but she still felt hungry, but that was fine, it was all you can eat, so if she needed another plate of food, she was sure that wouldn't be a problem. When she finished her plate, she could swear she heard crunching at one point but honestly wasn't paying attention. Her plate was empty which she found to be weird, she could have sworn she got some drum sticks and ribs, both of which obviously would have had bones in them, but as he shrugged it off, maybe she wqws mistaken about what she actually got, she was so hungry she just wanted to get her food and maybe she did get boneless meat. She got up and noticed there was a family at a table not far from hers, staring at her, the husband nudged the wife, whispering something to her as he pointed to her.

"Did you see that?" She heard him say, he probably saw her wolfing down here food, she shrugged as she didn't care, she was hungry and she cleaned her plate, plain and simple. She went back to the buffet, got some pork chops and some more chicken and hell she picked up some meatloaf and a steak. She wasn't sure why she craved so much meet today, probably because of her lack of proteins in the past 24 hours. She was sure her eyes her being larger than her stomach and she'd be taking this food home with her in aq carry out but...she was wrong. She sat down to eat and she remembered tasting the food, she didn't remember how long it took her to eat it but she could swear she heard crunching again and her plate was empty.

Okay, this time she knew she had meat that had bones in it...or did she. If she had they would surely be in her plate right? Was someone playing a prank on her? She looked up and more people were staring at her seemingly in awe with their mouths hanging open, she even saw a few of the servers staring at her. She felt awkward, but was still kind of hungry so she went back, looking around at everyone as they stared at her "What?" She asked looking around at everyone.

"Doesn't that hurt?" a woman asked.

"Doesn't what hurt?" She said narrowing her eyes on confusion.

"Eating those bones" a man asked.

"Wow, you're hilarious" she deadpanned. She was hungry but she knew for sure she hadn't eaten any bones. She'd have choked on them for sure. She went back to her table with there third plate and started to eat, trying to ignore the people.

The reflection of the water lighted up the walls of the dimly lighted room. Piping, nets, buckets, boxes, and boots could be seen piled around and the side the backside of a humongous tank could be seen. On the top of a flight of stairs a young woman with dark chocolate brown hair, stood looking down, her crystal blue eyes matching the water below her. Placing her hand in the water, as her fingers touched the water spread outwards pushing the water away from her hands. Lifting her hand up the water followed, slowly moving it from one side to the other.

“What are you doing?!” a voice came from below the stairs, a man with dirty blonde hair.

“Nothing! Was just finishing feeding” the women said as she quickly stood up straight

“well make sure you finish up soon and lock up, I'm done for the night,” the man said as he walked out the door closing it behind him.

“Night!..” she yelled back before the door was closed, with a sigh she collected the buckets and made her way down the stairs to finish off her work.

An hour or so later the young women were closing up the last door and hopped on her bike. Now to get something to eat, well she could always make something at home, though it was late and she really did not feel like cooking anything tonight. But first, something to drink her favorite boba place should still be open. Sitting on one of the outside tables she watches the cars pass by on her table sat 8 cups five empty as she drank the sixed one. Tilting her head she wonders what happened out across the street as one of the lamps burst. Soon watching women interact with a man under the lamp then watched them go separately into the buffet across the street from her.
