So a memory trigger must either be an object or a specific person. However if it's a person they must have already regained their own memories before your character if that makes sense.

E.g. @LadyMasquerade is playing Nala and her memory trigger is Kiara ( deer ) however Kiara has to remember who she is before Nala does for it to work.

Another example is that your Lumiere's memory trigger could be his girlfriend the feather duster girl, but only if I had her remember herself first xD

The more simple option is an object

E.g. Jane Porter's is a yellow parasol.

Once the memory trigger has worked they start to regain all their memories ending with their name and the object gives them a magical power.

They don't have to be memory triggers of each other but it was a suggestion and yes they dated and forgot each other in our world
