Spring had arrived once more, and food was plentiful again. Almost every hunting party brought back at least a few pieces of prey.

Today was slightly more chilly than usual, but the warmth of the sun made up for it. The sunlight soothing his tired bones. A young man grasped his fingers tightly around the mane of his horse, taking a sharp breath of the crisp air as they galloped along the moor. Corvus silently admiring the new fields of flowers that had recently sprouted, in the distance was the pack’s camp, little stacks of smoke curling up into the air from it. His nose picking up the scent of fresh baked bread and vegetable soup that the Omegas had been working on all morning.

“Come on, girl. We’re almost home now!” He grinned, gently patting the neck of his grey dappled horse, the companion letting out a huff of sorts in response. Corvus glancing over behind him to make sure that the boar he had killed was still on the rear of his horse. Several others followed behind him on their steeds, the backs of their horses also carrying some form of prey. A couple were deer, some were rabbits, and others were squirrels.

A surge of pride overwhelmed him, at least he was doing something right as an alpha. His pack wouldn’t feel an ounce of hunger over these next few weeks.

Corvus tugged gently at the mare’s mane, signaling her to slow down. The two skidding to a halt at the entrance of the camp, at an instant, a swarm of Iotas surrounded them. All hopping up and down on their little feet, curious eyes wanting to see what the hunting party had brought back for them. A dozen tiny voices shouting, asking too many questions at once.

Location: Remaining Stars’ Camp Entrance
Interactions: Open

A young woman steps closer to the riders and the heard of small children. "Kids, did I not tell you do bother the hunters before they reach kitchen area!" She gently tells all the Iotas that gathered around. A small on comes on her face as the children run away squealing and riders follow the girl into the camp.
"Alpha Corvus, while you were away with the hunting party I set up the camp and scheduled the patrols" A horse pen comes to sight. In there are all colored horses and as the pen is opened all of the hunters ride in.
"Of course you can check it and change it if needed but other fighters agreed to the plan." the hesitation in her voice is obvious. "I've decided to but the kitchen on the south side this time to utilise the light. Your quarters are on the left and if you need to find me my tent is on the north side next to the zeta."
The woman gives a slight bow and leaves the hunters alone. Her breath is shaky and steps taken hasty. The girls mind is filled with worry and sadness. This is the first camp she ever planned and set up with no help from her parents or alphas. The thought of her family causes tears to roll down from her eyes but she continues on walking not to show her weakness to those from the hunt.

West Watchtower

Quill leaned over the parapet of the brick watch tower, cocking his head slightly as he watched a spider skittle around the wall surface. He hummed an old folk song to it as he reached his hand over the ledge and encouraged it to climb aboard his fingers. Out of the corner of his eye he spotted the returning hunting party and lifted his head to watch them approach. Only when they stopped to talk to the lotas and another did it occur to him that he had to inform.

Yes of course he could get to that. He stood and stretched out his back before walking over to the small bell on the other side of the watching platform. There were watch towers at each of the corners of the territory, each only standing about 6 metres up; and he had been assigned to this one. He loved his watch tower. It faced west out of the territory, so each day he was able to watch a beautiful sunset and watch as the sun came over the town for a new day from the East. No one else usually came up here so he made it quite homey, complete with snacks and soft articles, books, as well as carving knives and some wood. Now technically he was supposed to be on watch and on alert all the time but when he knew that no one was out or it was raining that chances of threats were minimal. Perhaps that is why he was demoted.

He rang the soft bell by striking it with a wooden mallet, sending out a soft and low tone to alert the pack the hunting party has returned. Quill opened the small trap door that lead down the stairs and went down a couple to sneak to the kitchen, before scrambling back up and remembering to stay at his post until dismissed.

Winter had been harsh this year. Gabe had caught pneumonia late in January, and a lot of the time that Deno usually spent hunting had gone into helping nurse his sick partner back to health. It had taken over a month for him to fully recover, and by the time that February was over and March was on the way, most of their food stores had run low. Normally a few days of hunting and stalking would make up for that, but the deer herd that lived near their home - an old abandoned factory from wartime that they'd brought back from ruin together - had come ill as well, and there was no way that Deno was going to take a chance on tainted meat.

Locke and Gabriel may have been able to survive on the vegetable garden for a few more weeks, but Deno couldn't. He needed meat, and unfortunately, with their usual sources contaminated, that meant traveling a little farther than he'd normally like to, a little closer to another pack's territory than he was necessarily comfortable with.

He traveled at night, mostly, hunkering down in his wolf form during the day to keep from drawing attention to himself, and before he knew it, he had ended up in the forest where the nearby pack hunted. He had considered avoiding them, taking down a deer to replenish his strength and then taking as much meat back with him as he could, but it was when he was hidden away in an old burrow, watching the hunting party go by in the distance, that a better idea came to him.

Horses. They weren't as common wild these days, and they were fast and difficult to hunt. But if he managed to sneak a tamed one away from this pack, which honestly seemed to have more than they could possibly need, he could easily get it back home and slaughter it then. That way none of the meat would go to waste, and while it was more dangerous, he also figured he had a better chance of slipping away in the night if things went awry. Maybe. Maybe he was just really, really hungry and wasn't thinking straight, with the only thing in his belly being a squirrel he'd caught the day before.

Those horses just looked too good to pass up, honestly, so he ended up following at a safe distance behind the hunting party as they passed, lurking just behind the treeline as he tried to map out from sight where the entrances to the camp were, and which ones were the closest to the horse pen.

» JONAH;
Upon hearing a soft chime, the Zeta awoke, sluggishly, sitting up and rubbing at his face as he attempted to make sense of the images he had seen in his sleep. To anyone else, the jumbled contents of one's dreams may have seemed like just that--dreams--however, the things he saw, more often than not, ended up being relevant, and if he kept them to himself, the consequences could be dire...

Three strange, human figures were approaching, from what he could tell, but he had no idea what it could mean. Exiting his own tent, he considered telling the others to be on guard, for his dreams had left him with a feeling of apprehension. As he wandered toward the source of commotion resulting from the hunting party's return, he considered, and while he was so lost in his own thoughts, animal reflexes be damned, he collided with another.

Startled, Jonah stumbles back, looking to see one of the Betas, whose names he can never remember. A girl, younger than him, as far as he can tell. He's about to continue on, hands quickly wrapping around himself, when he hesitates. She looks... upset. Head tilted, his posture slowly relaxes, and, after a moment, he gestures to the faint traces of tears on her cheeks. "... you alright?" he asks, softly, his voice quiet from disuse. Despite his fear of getting too close to the rest of the pack, it seems in poor taste to just leave when someone appears so upset like this...

The Remaining Stars' camp came within sight of the black-and-red wolf, who clutched a dark leather carrying bag in its jaws, full of fresh medicinal herbs that had been found with Spring's return as well as a couple of old medicine bottles. The bag, bearing a small red cross as what would perhaps be seen in human hospitals, hung from a strap that had seen better days. Exposure to the wolf's sharp teeth had worn out the strap, but despite all of the wear and tear, it still supported the weight of the bag and its contents.

It was then that Vincent heard the soft sound of the bell signifying the hunters had returned, his ears twitching as the bell made its noise. "Excellent," He softly said to himself, "not a moment too soon." Vincent moved closer to the camp's entrance in a brisk trot before stopping behind Corvus and his caravan.

Setting down the bag and shifting back to human form in order to collect it in his hands, Vincent said, "Do pardon me, Alpha Corvus. I have supplies to deliver to my tent." His attention was briefly turned to the meat the hunters had brought in. "It would seem Spring has been kind to the hunters, as well. My typical scavenging grounds have begun to replenish now that the snow has receded. I had the most luck with Ruewort and Asphodel this time around."

Vincent, while he waited for Corvus to respond, turned his attention toward the Beta that had greeted Corvus first. He was a bit too far away to speak with her at the moment, but he could see she did not seem too pleased. As for the reason, he would perhaps have to find out later.

Then, there was the one named "Quill", a Gamma who had been assigned to the west tower. Vincent could have sworn he saw him slink off to the kitchen at one point, but elected to say nothing of it. After all, Vincent realized the Gamma had lost his sister, and that this had affected him.

Nora being consumed by her thoughts decided to go to her tent to calm down. The camp seemed joyful and beaming with rays of light. While many here had suffered a loss. It seemed that the spring represented to them new beginning and hope, while she was stuck in shadows. The death lurking in her mind had distracted Nora so much that right before reaching her tent she bumped into someone.

It's was a young man with black hair. It took her a second to remember that the man before her was the zeta, Jonah if she remembered correctly. He was also abashed by the situation but seemed to quicker get hold of himself.
"...You alright?" the zeta asked while indicating to my tear streams. "Yeah...Yeah,I am fine just past catching up the present" I nodded to him as I walked away to my tent at which point tears broke free completely.
I sobbed and cried there what seemed as eternity until the small wooden gong ringed indicating a mealtime.

She wiped away her tears and washed her face with in the water basin she held in her room. The water was cold and crisp. Perfect to wake her from her thoughts. She head out from her tent to the kitchens if she had any luck she can just avoided other high ranking members and start with fortification to the camp. There is no need for them to see her weakness because that can't end well for me.

The kitchen area was filled with people and aromas of food. There could be seen old and young, high and low people. I was one of the last to arrive if we exclude the patrolmen. The system allowed children and their mothers get their food first. Both the Alphas were there and the other Beta and the Zeta as well. I guess my life is not going to be that easy.

Corvus slid off of his horse, gently soothing the young mare with a soft hand, scratching her neck slightly and guiding her inside the camp towards the horse pens. “Thank you, Nora. I appreciate the time you put into organizing the camp for us all.” He offered a gentle smile towards the Beta, the Alpha already knew she was having a difficult time adjusting to the new pack life and wanted to be warm and welcoming as possible.

After placing his horse within her pen, the young man dug a small carrot out of the pocket of his coat, letting her tongue swoop it out of his hand.

Corvus slung the slain boar over his shoulders, holding each pair of feet in hand. Turning, and striding off towards the kitchen to where the delicacy would be gutted and cleaned. He gave a quick nod to the pack’s Delta as he passed by, shooting him a kind wink as well. “Good afternoon, Doctor. Ready to take those stitches of mine out after lunch?” He chuckled, glancing down at his bandaged arm.

» JONAH;
Jonah, a bit taken aback by the girl's hasty retreat to her tent, finally nods to himself, content that she'll be alright if left on her own. Now there's only the matter of his dream, which, at this point, he's almost certain he should tell the Alphas. It was better to tell them and have it be insignificant than to keep it to himself and be blamed when something terrible happened. And he would never let anything terrible happen to this pack.

He was only aware of one of the Alpha's whereabouts, so he slowly made his way toward the horse-pen, spying Corvus on his way to the kitchen area of camp. He approaches the Alpha, his own typical nervous energy pouring off of him in waves as he waits, patiently, for the other man to finish up with his conversations.
"S-sir?" he interjects, disregarding the fact that the Alpha is only a few years older than himself, "I need to speak with you." The Zeta fidgets with his own hands, hoping the two of them could possibly find a less populated area of the camp to discuss his premonition.

Quill, Gamma
West Watchtower to grounds to horse pen to tree line

Quill sighed reluctantly and sat back at his post along the wall. He folded his arm and rested his chin upon his elbow as he looked out below at some of the pack members congregated down below. He could hear their conversations of course, but none really interested him, he so didn’t pay attention; wasn’t his business anyways. Although he was the eyes and ears of the pack, that discluded personal relations.

Quill took a deep inhale as a waft of food came over from the kitchen area and stood as he tried to justify leaving to go snag some delicacies. He skipped down the stairs and swung around on the pole railing as he pushed the wooden door open. Even though the watchig platform was exposed to sun, the brickstairwell only had two oil lanterns; and opening to door allowed the bright sun to flood the stairwell.

He hummed to himself and looked around for anyone else that might be watching him. As much as he watched other people, he hated others watching him. He knew he was perceived as a ditz, and without his other half he always felt lost. He was dumb not ignorant. He dragged his hand along the coarse brick tower and started to walk his way towards the kitchens. He stopped when he saw one of the Elders mingling outside the door and decided to walk the other empty direction.

He ended up walking towards the horse stables, still relatively close to his tower. Quill aways admired the horses, but hated riding them. He preferred o be his own transportation and since he was quick and agile he didn’t mind his sprinting. Plus it was odd sometimes.

Quill entered the barn, the smell of the animal’s sweat and dropping overwhelming him at first. He took a moment before pursuing one of the recents foals and her mother, greeting the mother with a dried apple chip and a pat on the nose. After saying hello to each of the horses, Quill began to walk around the perimeter, figuring he could watchguard while he wandered.

Quill stopped with his hand along one of the wood window sills, looking towards the woods. He thought he saw some movement but perhaps it was simply a woodlan animal. Just to be safe he kept staring at the place he saw movement within the shadows of the trees. Mikotsuhime Mikotsuhime

The spring truly is a beautiful time. The trees nice and light and pastel buds all over the flora. Birds awake and returnt from their journey. Quill began to walk towards the tree line, watching the clouds roll above him before he looked back to a bird on a close branch. His keen ears picked up movement again and his reality was brought back to earth as he met what he thought to be the shadow of a creature within the trees.

Deno crouched low to the ground, a low growl coming from his throat instinctively as he realized that one of the pack members was staring right at him. His muscles twitched with the desire to run, but the desire for one of those horses kept him in place. He couldn't fight a whole pack, though, and there was no way he could sneak in in the middle of the day, right after the return of a hunting party. He was so hungry that he was pretty sure he couldn't even fight one on one right now.

But maybe he wouldn't have to. He didn't have anything physical to trade, but maybe he could come up with something else? Information maybe. He knew his old pack was starting to move closer to this area, and while Joseph was a reasonable and kind alpha, Montre was not. Were they close enough for that to actually count as a fair trade? He didn't know. He could always make something up. All that mattered was getting food, and hopefully not getting killed in return. He may have hated the traditional pack dynamic and everything it stood for, but sometimes groups like this could be more reasonable than trying to barter with single travelers.

He hunkered down for a moment, considering his options, before he realized that the other wolf was getting pretty close to his position. Deciding that it was now or never, he took a deep breath and shifted forms. It was a bit embarrassing, considering he didn't have any clothes on him, but he didn't like being seen by strangers in his wolf form, and communicating like that was always more difficult. Placing one hand over his eye to replace his missing eyepatch, he raised the other in an obvious sign of surrender as he stepped just barely past the treeline, close enough to be seen but also far enough away that he could run if he needed to.

"Hey," he said, his voice a bit scratchy from disuse, and then winced at how dumb he sounded. "I mean, uh, I come in peace. Or something, something like that. I mean, I'm not an enemy, or out to hurt you guys, or anything, I just, uh, I have... information, and stuff. I wanted to barter? Or--" He broke off as his stomach rumbled something fierce, and he tried to fight the flush off of his face.

Ravana| Sigma

Ravana pulled the reigns back of her chestnut gelding. She'd trapped several rabbits during her time hunting, but missed the buck. She'd have to practice with her throwing knives more because failure was not an option. The pack needed meat and this time they'd gathered quite a bit, but what about next time? She couldn't let them down. She slid off the gelding and led him to his stall. She stroked his face before taking the reigns and saddle off. He was by far her favourite horse. After she put his tack away she grabbed an apple she'd brought for the hunt and brought it back to him. He nuzzled her face before taking the apple from her open palm.

"Good boy," she spoke quietly before grabbing the rabbits she'd caught. With her haul, she headed toward the kitchen.

The pack seemed delighted by the successful hunting trip and she looked forward to a warm meal. She passed the delta on her way. He was kind and she was always curious about healing herbs, which was something her mother was skilled at, but she didn't have the chance to learn a lot about. When she entered the kitchen it was rather full and she knew she wasn't alone with her hunger. She smiled when she saw the Iota's; they giggled and wiggled as they waited for the meal to be prepared. The mother's chastised them when they began to banter.

She brought the rabbits back to the cook and placed them with the other kills from the hunt. When she walked back to the dining area she looked over the pack. Everyone seemed content and she was grateful for the chance to contribute. She was grateful for the pack that willingly accepted her.

Lunar Moonshine - Sigma

Lunar came back to the camp from hunting, along with many others. She was riding her cream-colored horse. She pulled on the reigns and hopped off the saddle, pulling her bag filled with bodies of dead deer and rabbits. She had a successful hunt, and managed to get some practice with her Katana. She refrained from using her moon dust, because, well, she learned not to use it the hard way. Lunar thought about that time. She ended up getting sick. Thank goodness she was the only one who ate that rabbit she used her moon dust to kill.

Lunar was quite young, to be honest, but she was great at hunting, so she was allowed to start hunting when she turned 15, which was a couple months ago. Since then, she’s improved at her hunting skills dramatically. She led her horse to the stable before taking off her saddle. She put her in her stable. She looked at Ravana, who was also a Sigma, and smiled. She then tied up her horse and walked over to the kitchen.

She placed her bag down on the counter and walked over to the dining area. She sat down, and looked at everyone there. She was quite happy that she was willingly accepted into the pack, 2 years ago. She recalled the time her home pack was attacked, just 2 days after she turned 13. She missed her sister. Lunar never knew if she survived or ended up killed. Well, she was excited about the meal ahead. This year had been a harsh winter, but she was happy that spring had come once again.

Vincent returned Corvus' chuckle with one of his own. "Why, certainly. It's a very simple procedure. While I do not question the state of your arm considering how bountiful your hunt was, I will still have to take one final look at the wound site, as per the regulations. Until then..." He paused, giving a nod of his head toward Corvus and the rest of the hunting party. "...I will see you in the kitchen. Perhaps, even, I may light some incense. Something to... shall we say, ease the spirit and mind." Vincent passed the party and crossed the threshold of the camp, his ponytail blowing slightly in the breeze.

Two Sigmas had passed Vincent as he made his way toward the kitchen area, and he took it upon himself to offer a non-spoken greeting to both of them.

The aromas of freshly prepared foods floated in the air as the Delta strolled over to his tent to briefly drop off his collection of herbs and medicines. With his bag delivered, Vincent cupped his elbow with one of his hands as the other came to rest under his chin while he pondered what he wanted to eat. "Perhaps some deer would be nice, with a bowl of soup on the side. The Omegas are quite good at putting together a nice meal..."

Vincent was next to visit the kitchen, and saw how populated it was, with wolves of all ranks awaiting their food. He decided to patiently wait for his turn, since it was custom to permit mothers and children to sup first.

It was here that Vincent noticed the Beta that he had spotted earlier, the one who seemed quite dejected, or perhaps overworked. He considered sitting next to her in order to discuss the idea of speaking with her in private, so as not to compromise her pride. Vincent did, after all, understand the damages that could occur should someone not have anyone to properly speak with.

Quill, Gamma
Ground perimeter

Quill slightly recoiled as figure stepped out, only because he was expecting something like a deer or a raccoon. He examined the figure with a quick glance; obviously a were because he had just shifted. Or perhaps it was a naked human spying on them. Perhaps they came to conquer and here was the spy sent on them and has been watching them for several days. Maybe the humans were finally repopulating but not advanced enough to wear clothes yet. Did this human know about were wolv-

Quill just seemed to stare at Deno while these thoughts went through his head, then he blinked when his train of thought came onto the tracks of reality. "Uh, what?" he had to think back to what the other just said. He was still wary of this figure, but he didn't have any weapons. Oh Perhaps he should've brought his bow. What if this man tries to run away or into the camp and Quill needs a quick attack? Oh well then Quill is a fast runner perhaps he could catch him.

"A barter? You said?" Quill put his hand to his forehead, his mind was all over the place today. He had been so bored. "For- for information? uh I mean I dunno. I'm only a watchdog," he shrugged. "What type of information?" He crossed his arms, trying to seem a bit more intimidating. "Are we under attack? Are you attacking us?" Quill began to look around further into the woods, eventually walking past the figure to where he was hiding.

"Wait hold on. Perhaps I have- yeah. I need to- uhm.." Quill turned and scratched at his head, "I think I need to bring you to see one of our Alphas... Technically you are trespassing... You can talk more about the barter you propose with the information or whatever..." Quill started to walk back towards camp.

He glanced back to see if the other was following, and nodded his head forward to indicate to do so. "They're friendly. I think. I haven't had many encounters with them recently. Not since my sister and my demotion. I stay up in my tower a lot. I don't get around the grounds often." He pointed to his tower, "That's mine."

Mikotsuhime Mikotsuhime

"What? No, I'm not attacking anyone. If I was going to attack you I would have waited until you were asleep or something," Deno pointed out, then inwardly cringed at his choice of wording. He was not doing a very good job of appearing non-threatening and trustworthy. "I mean, I'm not attacking. I was just traveling and I ended up in your territory, and thought that I could, you know, make an exchange that'd work out for both of us." That sounded a bit ominous, but he supposed it was better than nothing.

He made to follow after the other, before he stopped and shifted awkwardly.

"Do you, uh, have like a coat or something?" He asked, feeling a bit ashamed. "I didn't really anticipate being in this form so I didn't really bring any clothes with me, and I don't really want to meet your alpha naked." In his experience, alphas usually fell into two categories: aggressive and proud or nurturing and overprotective. Neither of those types were quick to trust strangers, and he wasn't planning on staying long enough to actually win trust.

He glanced up at the tower and nodded his head.

"It looks nice. From the outside, I mean. This whole camp seems pretty... quaint," he mumbled, cursing the fact that he had never been better at talking to people. He considered asking about the other man's sister, but then decided against it. They had just met, and he didn't want to pry too much, or make them too suspicious of him. "Sorry, I'm not really, I mean. It's been a while since I talked to someone. I'm kind of out of practice."

Besides Locke and Gabe, of course, but they were family, they didn't count.

The line for food decreased rapidly as hungry wolves grabbed their food from friendly Omegas. It was my turn to choose. Today's menu was filled with all kinds of food starting from sup and ending in just a piece of meat. I decided to just take the sup and a bun. The eating area was set up nice with tables set on the field next to kitchen. I chose the one in which I had a good view of the camp but not so in open to draw attention. The food tasted wonderfully and the fortification plans averted my attention so much that the hot body sitting to my table made me jump up from my seat.

At first I thought it was one of the Iotas or Omegas, who helped to set up the camp. But turning to him I found out it was the Delta. Now that was odd. I didn't mention being ill nor was there shortage of sitting spaces in other tables. So what was the reason he would sit with me.
"Hello Delta Vincent, what brings you to me on this beautiful day" I added a small smile to it.
"If you need another visit to the forest I can arrange it to be in tomorrow morning or maybe you need more space for your sickbay" I blurted the text out and unfortunately the last part came out hushed and sad. Almost like a whisper. The current situation had really truly pushed me out of my element.

Lunar Moonshine - Sigma

The bell rang, signifying that the food was ready, and Lunar took her place at the back of the line. The food disappeared fast, being taken by werewolves who were hungry after their long day of work. She grabbed a piece of meat and a roll when her turn came, trying to save some food for the others. She then went over to her usual table, alone, (unfortunately) and ate her meal.

Corvus gave a nod towards the Delta’s words, giving a smile in exchange. He was certainly thankful to have such a devoted and caring doctor in the pack, without that, many numbers would have been lost during the winter.

He strode silently into the kitchen, grinning as always and smacking the large boar down onto the cleaning counter. There, the omegas would clean prey and prepare them for either storage or immediate meal prep. They were certainly skilled in their roles, and the Alpha admired them a lot for that. To him, no one was inferior. Every single one of them was the same, and all belonged to a big, joyous family. Such mentality was much, much different compared to his ancestors.

His father, grandfather, and even great-grandfather lead in brutality. But he would be the end of such an era, and bring about a new one of support and prosperity.

Corvus took is place in the very back of the meal line, as he always did. It was imperative that children, mothers, and elders were to take part in meal first to ensure they were well fed. They were the future of the pack, and keeping their bellies full meant less sickness. Picking up a wooden bowl from the stack of handmade dining ware close to the entrance of the kitchen, as well as a tarnished spoon. Soon enough, he received his soup, a omega ladling out a serving or two into his bowl. The two exchanging a few kind words with each other before Corvus went on his way, looking for a table sit down at and enjoy his meal.

His eyes caught sight of one that was fairly empty, only one other pack member sitting at the table. Corvus plopped down on the bench seat of the table, the old wood creaking beneath him slightly as he took his place across from her. “Care to tell me why you’re sitting here all by yourself?” The alpha chuckled, his eyes crinkling up slightly.

Corvus had thought he had caught a strange, foreign scent in the air. Something didn’t quite belong. Perhaps it was maybe the prey they packed in? He’d be sure to check it out after his meal.

Mama, Omega
Kitchen

“One at at time! One at a time!” Mama grinned at the hungry Iotas as they hurried grabbed at the food with greedy little paws. She had been helping in the kitchen all day prepare the food, but of course that didn’t account for the fresh game the hunting pack brought back. Some others receded back to take the meat and to smoke it, freeze it, or prepare it for today.

Mama counted everyone as they came in, making sure they were all accounted for and fed. She smiled at Vincent, Lunar and Ravana, gave a smile and head nod to Corvus as they all came into the mess hall of sorts. She spotted Jonah outside and what appeared to nervously waiting looking inside for something. Of course everyone wasn’t here yet, but hopefully they would be before the Iotas tore through everything.

"Hello Corvus. Looks like Spring is finally upon us," Mama smiled to the alpha as the omega next to her dished out some soup to him.

Quill, gamma
Grounds to kitchen

Quill watched his tower as they approached, his thoughts in other places while the other talked for the moment.

He and his twin used to play hide an seek all the time. This was of course before Quill discovered he had his heightened ability of senses. After he developed more of a body for running and senses for seeking then it became quite unfair to play games like tag or hide and seek. They turned to wrestling, and Kai was more built for that, but it was still equal. Quill seldom won, but it was more fun that having an advantage.

"Yuh-huh..." Quill said absentmindedly, before he realised he was asked a question. "Oh what...? my bad." He looked at the other while he repeated it, his yellow eyes piercing into the other all the while being sort of carefree and wondrous. "Oh jacket. Shi- shirt yeah... uhm..." He patted his waist to see if he had a jacket tied around before looking and seeing there was none.

"Here. How about this.." he slipped off his shirt. It was oversized for him so he had the sleeves rolled the bottom tucked it, so it was quite enough to cover. He handed the flannel to the other, leaving himself bare-chested. He shrugged in response to an inquiry about being bare himself. Quill didn't mind too much about the lack of covering; he liked the wind on his chest especially when he ran. He was quite fit too, but not muscular.

"One of our parties just returned from their hunt- what's your name?" He asked when they started walking again, interrupting himself. "Everyone should be in the kitchen so you could ask the alph- you could also get something to ea- Mama doesn't mind strangers she was once a stranger her- She takes care of us here." he seemed to speak in an entire breath.

They entered the camp and went over to the kitchen were the smell of cooking food seemed to heave itself out in waves. Quill stood in the doorway, "uhhhh yeah." he pointed to Corvus, sitting with a sigma he hadn't seen much of. "Hi Alpha Corvus!" He waved enthusiastically to get his attention. "That's Alpha Corvus. He can help you."

Deno took the flannel gratefully, turning around to slip it over his shoulders. He had to move his hand away from his face to do that, and he didn't want to gross anybody out. He was happy to finally have some clothes, even if it was still warm from the other man's body heat and that was kind of weird, but he wasn't as crazy about germs and hygiene as Gabe was, so it was fine. He looked around the camp as he followed the other, both eyebrows rising slightly at his rapidfire talking pace.

"I-I see. I'm Denatro, and you?" He said when he was asked his name, then frowned at the offer of free food. He was hungry, he really was, but...

"I don't want handouts, I want to barter," he said firmly. He wasn't even sure if that would work or not, but he did not want to be treated as a charity case.

He stood up straight when the alpha was pointed out, squaring his shoulders and puffing out his chest a little. He was used to being underestimated because of his size and his abnormalities, and the last thing he was going to do was let an alpha from a strange pack walk all over him. Despite his earlier awkwardness he was all business now, and while he wasn't quite issuing a challenge, he wouldn't back down from one either. His free hand curled into a loose fist as he took a deep breath.

"My name is Denatro Mosk," He introduced himself, but didn't offer a hand to shake as he stared the other alpha wolf in the eye. "I have inside information about the pack that skirts the northern part of this territory, stuff that could help you and yours if they decide to invade. I want to trade for a horse. And a meal, maybe," he added at the end as his stomach growled again, ruining the serious image that he had been cultivating.

Vincent made eye contant with the Beta as she spoke to him, slightly tilting his head as he responded to her. "Beta Nora, was it? I must say, you're doing a fine job despite your recent adoption of your position. As for what I need, allow me to explain." His mouth slowly began to crease into a frown as he uttered his next few sentences: "If you wish to talk about something, you know where to find my tent. While I mainly deal with surgeries and medicines, I realize that holding in something painful can cause damage that bandages and sutures cannot fix. Once Alpha Corvus' stitches are removed as he has requested, unless there are any others that require my help, you may visit me so we can have a discussion in private. Alright?" Standing up, Vincent added, "I will return."

As Corvus had done, Vincent assumed his place in the back of the line and collected a bowl as well as a spoon. In due time, it was his turn to be served. He took notice of the Omega referred to as "Mama", and returned her smile with one of his own. Once Vincent was given his ration of soup, he returned to Nora's table as he had promised.

His attention, however, was then drawn to an unfamiliar werewolf, or so he presumed, that the Gamma named Quill had brought in, wearing... was that one of Quill's shirts he saw? It had to have been, judging by how Quill was now visibly topless. As it was a bit difficult for Vincent to hear what the newcomer's discussion with Corvus entailed, he elected to wait and see just what the outcome would be, later.

For now, he would eat his soup, and he did, savoring each flavor with each spoonful.

Ravana

Once Ravana got her food she neared the other sigma, Lunar. Her eyes traveled over to the alpha, he was sitting with her. She froze. An unpleasant odour filled her nose, someone else was here. Her eyes traveled over the different faces until she saw one she didn't recognize. He was approaching the alpha. Ravana moved closer to Corvus. What news could this rogue have? Losing a meal and a horse wouldn't hurt them...much. The stranger looked like he could use the food and his grumbling stomach was a testament to that obvious fact

Still, she was wary of him. She looked him up and down. He wore an item of clothing that did not belong to him. She glanced over at the entrance of the kitchen and saw Quill, shirtless. That was a respectable thing to do. Her focused returned back to the stranger. Despite her dislike of him, she was curious as to what he could provide. Slowly she walked around him and sat across from Lunar.
