Reinner Academy for Gifted Trainers

-only use base stats for calculations, (Seriously guys, you don't wanna mess with EVs, IVs, and Natures. It's a pain.)

-use dice to calculate moves with less than perfect accuracy. (ex if it has 80 accuracy, the dice must land 1-80.)

-use dice to calculate secondary effects. (ex, flamethrower's burn effect. Same way with accuracy. If it has a 25% accuracy roll 1-100 and hope for 1-25. If 10% chance hope for 1-10 out of 100)

-STABS are important.

-dice for paralysis, confusion, ect.

-standard 5 turn weather effect

-speed decides which rper can move first. (Have to balance ultra bulky types somehow. The exception to this is priority moves.)

Technicalities are beyond important in competitive battling.

I'll handle damage calculation and hp calculation.

You wanna just have it go until one rper quits? Seems like a bad idea considering no one likes to lose.

Airagog, this is not necessary. This is a roleplay, not Pokémon battling championships. We DON'T need all this, because this is all just for fun and the love of writing. Everything doesn't need to be overcomplicated like this, and we all should just battle and have our Pokémon faint at our own discretion.

Cause you're not keen on losing and neither am I. I wasn't going to use Slaking anyway since he's broken with the rules you gave if we battle with standard Pokemon rules.

Again. It's a freaking roleplay. Honestly, I don't give a damn if I win or lose. Your calculations will just suck all the fun out of this roleplay.

It's just standard Pokemon rules, a lot better than people yelling over what hits and who's dead.

Just saying, having a very heavy combat RP that the two rpers decide amongst themselves who wins doesn't usually turn out great. Take it for what it's worth. If we aren't using calculation I'm redoing my team entirely.

I'm out, that ruins my entire team.

Really? Leaving a roleplay just because you planned something overcomplicated and it won't go your way? You sound like a child.

Don't complain and do the roleplay like it was made for: to write and have fun.

Okay, look at it from my perspective. I spent two days thinking of my team going "Okay, serious Pokémon RP. Time to be serious." I carefully selected each Pokémon so I could keep up and win, (no I haven't used that team before. I made it up and did my research.) now I'm discovering my entire team is USELESS and that whoever wins the combat isn't who actually works out the best strategy, it's whoever you decide.

You are flipping off and throwing out all the preparation and strategies I came up with because I assumed since it said gifted trainers I'd be against seriously strong people and I didn't wanna disappoint y'all and I wanted to show that when I care about something I actually bust my ass and check everything, now that's thrown away.

... I-I just... I'm just trying to have everyone's best interest in mind... I just think the calculations seems needlessly complicated...
