"The Red Zone" is the name for a region of space where civilisation has sprung forth once again, for now, it is out of range of the Grand Fleet, and so close to the edge of existence that it's scent hasn't been picked up by the Huntsmen, yet. But, unknowing of the danger surrounding them, the people are relaxed and fun-loving, this region's culture is dominated by high-impact entertainment, namely, it's Immortal fan base. The Immortals here are embraced as celebrities and on occasion, worshipped as gods. Often, the region's Immortals take part in battle tournaments, the most popular event in the Red Zone.

In a large space station, full of arenas built for Immortal fighting tournaments, a battle has sprung forth between Artificials, Immortals and Demons. What began as a tournament that a group of Artificials planned to sabotage, has now devolved into complete chaos. To make matters worse, a high-level Immortal from the Grand Fleet has arrived, with plans to destroy all the Immortals and Demons in the area.

After sealing the large crack in his chestplate, with a flick of his hand, Salegg summoned a massive spear, spinning in the air in front of him as he charged it with Aether energy. Turning his head to face the oncoming demon, he gripped the weapon in both hands, thrusting it forth, attempting to catch his attacker out of range. He laughed in the face of the Demon in front of him. "You think i'm weak, now of all times? Ridiculous. It should be more than obvious at this point, the difference in power between I, and all of you here." He shouted under his helmet, though the metal didn't muffle his voice, it still resonated loudly through the space around him. As his spear pierced further into Nanautzin's body, he kicked the demon away, motioning with his hands to form small waves that tossed him away towards Gabriel. His attacks had no intention of damaging Nanautzin, as he trusted Gabriel to do her job well. His spear then dissipated and he continued repairing his armour, filling in the chips and cracks along his limbs. He enjoyed the brief clash he had with the Gravity Immortal, and he showed this by not immediately finding his body and executing him, his hope for a challenge was diminishing by the second.

Gabriel chuckled at her superior for trusting her. She didn't have enough energy to summon anything, but she still had enough fighting force to do her best. Officer raised her left foot, a boot with a metal tip off the dusty ground, waiting for Nanautzin to appear close enough for her to kick him across his back.

Nanautzin cursed as he was forced away from the powerful artificial. He was hoping to infect the the high level officer while his armor was damaged, but that was obviously not going to happen anytime soon. He would need to thing of a way to counter that water.

As Nanautzin was swept towards Gabriel he turned towards her to block or at least see any attack until he could get his footing again.

@Gabriel Forfax

It was too late to stop with the attack when Nanautzin swiftly turned to block. Officer kicked his hands that endured the hit, breaking the older man's bone or two, but with consequences. Gabriel was balancing on one leg, as Nanautzin held the leg she kicked him with.

Alex's body was vibrating in the void of space, as if his form couldn't hold itself together. His arms were still gone from his final attack against Salegg, his body and energy incapable of restoring them at the moment. Even Alex himself wasn't completely there. His soul was cracked and damaged in every spot, only a fraction away from being shattered. At this level of strength, he wouldn't even be able to defend against a Mortal, let along another Immortal.

Deep inside of his mind, Alex was sitting in a meditative position, barely awake, even in his own mind. His teeth were clenched tight in pain as he struggled to gather his energy. Every time he did, it seemed to slip away before he could repair his soul. He wondered what to do. If he even relaxed for a single second, his soul would shatter. He needed some way of gathering the energy to heal his soul from the outside. Something like a...shell?

The idea sprung into his head and he reached out his hands. Around his body on the outside, a hard gravity made shell formed around him in an egg shape. Inside of his mind, he made sure that this shell was tight and complete, where none of his energy could seep out. If his soul couldn't hold the energy he was absorbing, he needed something that did. Quickly, Gravity energy began to flood into the shell, causing it to grow denser and denser until not even light was capable of escaping.

Then he began the slow process of healing his soul. He started from the outside, healing the smaller cracks and slowly working his way inward. It was during this process that he heard something. It didn't come from his protective egg, but inside of his mind. Something large swirled around him, hot breath covering his body.

Opening his eyes, he was facing a large and powerful Dragon, barely visible, almost ghostly. It's scales were cracked and damaged, as if it'd been in a mighty battle. However, it's eyes were deep and full of live, completely overbearing.

Alex knew what this was. It was instinctive, like something he'd known forever. It was his Soul. More precisely, the Manifestation of what his soul was. It was terrifyingly massive, it's head filled up his entire view. Only by looking around did he notice that it's mighty body was wrapped in a tight coil around him. He was the core of his soul and the Dragon's scales were like Armor, protecting it.

"Lets heal you" he said softly and began pulling the energy into his body even faster. In this space of his mind, he pulled that glowing black energy and wrapped the Dragon in it, starting from the base of the tail and working upwards. The beast made a soft sound, as if sighing in relief.

In reality, this entire process took less than a few minutes, but to Alex, he felt as though time passed extremely slowly. Centuries passed by for him. Eventually, the Dragon looked new, it's scales lustrous and shining with energy.

Slowly, he opened his eyes in reality and smiled with relief. He frowned when he realized that his physical body hadn't been repaired. He'd been so focused on repairing his soul that he hadn't taken anytime to repair his physical form. He began to focus, drawing more of his energy into his body. Starting from his shoulders, a crystalline version of his energy began to form, slowly growing into new arms.

He was surprised when he finished. His arms weren't as they had been before. They were covered in a tough scale like armor, as if he were wearing Gauntlets made from Dragon Scales.

The Dragon that was his soul made a soft growling noise from within him. Alex grinned and immediately spread his arms out. With a shattering crack, the egg that surrounded him exploded outward before quickly absorbing back into his arms. The armor quickly began growing across his body from his arms, creating a powerful armor that encased him perfectly.

Waves of gravity rolled off of him as the Ghostly image of a Dragon formed behind him. It stretched it's head out and gave a powerful roar. Despite the fact that he was in a vacuum, this roar seemed to echo. Alex flexed his body, testing himself. This felt amazing! He felt like he was overflowing with energy. His energy bubbled up from his soul and constantly strengthened the armor he wore.

Alex wondered if he could create a weapon to go along with this armor. He focused and let his soul do the talking. Energy gathered around his hands as he brought them together. It glowed and stretched into a blade like object before solidifying into a sword that matched his armor in beauty. This blade was incomparably heavy, though he could tell that it didn't have any actual substance. That was fortunate, no one would be able to take it from him.

With a single swing, the sword vanished in a flurry of energy. It was interesting. He took a few minutes to practice creating and dispersing the sword. Oddly enough, he couldn't get rid of the armor. He supposed that it would vanish on it's own after his energy returned to normal.

He sighed as he looked towards the direction he'd flown from. Good thing about space was that there wasn't much to slow you down or change your direction. He knew where the Station was. His hands balled into fists "Time for a little payback" he said softly and shot forward, rushing towards the station at near lightspeed. He felt wild, like the energy inside of him would never disperse. He even felt like he had even better control over Gravity than he had before.

In mere minutes, he could see the station...or what ever was left of it after his attack. More importantly, he could see Salegg "Lets see how easily you defend against this" he said. A single ball of gravity formed in front of him, minuscule but incredibly dense. Even more importantly, the ball was overflowing with his soul energy. With a flick of his finger, the ball shot forward towards Salegg. He wasn't going to to use his sword yet.

He wasn't extremely confident that he could win. Salegg already had his own armored form and looked like he knew how to use it. Alex had only recently achieved this form and didn't know everything about it. However, he did have some confidence that he'd be able to force Salegg to retreat, or possibly even give someone a chance to take him out while he was distracted.

@Rurnur

As Salegg completed the finishing touches on his armour repairs, he felt the oh so familiar pull of gravity on his soul. "What.. " He raised his head, focusing his attention outside of the space station, where he felt a sudden build-up of energy. He failed to notice beforehand, but it had to be the Gravity Immortal. "Impossible, what is he doing..?" The Captain once again brandished his spear defensively, sensing the energy drawing near. He knew what he could feel, but didn't want to admit it. This was Aether, in it's purest form. Soul Armour granted naturally to an Immortal. "This is ridiculous, hard work, training, who needs it? When you can luck out with 'destiny'. I'll show the universe who's deserving of the status 'Immortal'." He snarled under his breath, charging up the energy in his spear.

He grinned under his helmet, advancing forward as Alex came into view, covered in his new soul armour. The difference of power between the two had definately been reduced, but even if the odds were against him, Salegg's confidence would not be damaged in the slightest. As Alex took the first move, Salegg quickly decided on his counter. It'd be a difficult attack to simply defend against or absorb, he'd have to deflect it out of range. "Oh allow me to show you how to use that, boy! Class is in session." He laughed and tightened his grip on the spear, and then with one intense motion, he flung the spear with both hands, like a spinning top, releasing it so it would spin in a circle in front of him. Then, with both arms out, he used the momentum of the spinning spear to manipulate his water energy, motioning with his hands to transform the spear into a spinning wheel of water blades. As the ball of gravity came into range, Salegg tilted the wheel, catching the projectile and tossing it away using the powerful momentum, allowing the ball to swerve off to the left, escaping through the station's wreckage. With that, he halted his spear's motion and allowed the remaining water to lift him off the ground, dashing towards Alex.

"Don't get too confident now! Your precious 'god' didn't give you this second chance for nothing, don't waste it!" He shouted angrily, mocking his opponent. Salegg believed in nothing like a "god", the Sentinels were the closest thing to that, in his mind. He continued riding the waves, up and around the station's remains, before he dashed backwards upon entering Alex's range, sending a series of huge tidal waves crashing towards him, from all directions.

@Seraph Darkfire

Acantha neared the station watching the spectacle that is the two soul clad immortal and artificial duking it out. She grabbed a hold of the station with her strings and pryed her eyes away from their fight to take a look at whats going on in the station. Flesh guy was still fighting and Otrovs colleague is fighting nanautzin. She looks like she needs help. Acantha ballista-ed her way into nanautzin at rediculous speeds,

Alex chuckled and clapped his hands together. Black energy burst out, covering his armored fingers. He rushed the tidal waves, trusting his armor as he pushed forwards with his hands "Repulse" he growled as the gravity altered, shooting outward and blowing the water away. Then he rushed Salegg, spreading his hands open as his Gravity covered claws rushed towards him. As he gripped towards him, several claw like blades of Gravity Energy appeared around Salegg, rushing towards him as well.

With this Armor, Alex had a much better control over his Gravity Spheres, capable of changing their shape into more usable forms. As he attacked, the image of a mighty dragon appeared behind him and roared. This was the pressure of his soul bearing down on Salegg.

@Rurnur

He frowned as his waves were pushed back, with his free hand, he made a spinning motion, drawing the water back closer to the fight. It was as expected, his abilities had the greatest physical force, and would require more than a few waves to penetrate his defenses, doubly so with this new soul armour. While floating back from the confrontation, he detected Alex's counterattack, energy forming all around him. "What are these? Puny blades? You think you can afford to hold back, against me?" He yelled and gripped his spear, charging the tip with an aura of super-dense liquid and slashed with it over his head, twice in order to knock back the blades of energy.

After defending against the initial danger, he held out his hand and called forth the water from his previous attack, quickly forming large bubbles around Alex's hands and feet, holding them momentarily with their massive pressure. "Show me your new power. Let's see who's superior." He couldn't stop Alex for long, however. His power wasn't to be underestimated. Holding his spear in a defensive stance, he prepared to take the attack head on.

@Seraph Darkfire

Gravity Spheres spun around Alex, pulling the water off of him forcefully. There were a few light scratches on his armor, but they were quickly repaired. He wondered if he was so durable because this was his first time using this form. He flexed his arms and looked at Salegg "Very well, I myself am curious as to what I am capable of now" he'd been using a powerful enemy like Salegg to test his newfound strength. He could understand the man's confidence.

He swung his hand out as his sword formed in his grip. He was familiar with various weapons, though his gravity energy was useful enough that he never required a weapon.The sword was beautiful "I would like to thank you though, without you I would have never been able to achieve this form" he grinned. Then he rushed forward, his sword slashing downward towards Salegg. The sword was pure soul and gravity energy and didn't possess an actual physical form. If Salegg couldn't match him with equal energy, this blade would pass right through normal matter.

@Rurnur

"I would hope so, as this is your one and only chance to show it off, before I put an end to you." He chuckled and gave his spear and twirl in his hand before charging towards Alex, weapon at the ready. He would have to spend much more energy than what was originally intended, he wouldn't be able to elimate the remaining demons after this fight. Should he call the Fleet now? Or was this bunch trustworthy? Gabriel was a good soldier, but with so many enemies, she may become overwhelmed. The new arrival was a wildcard, and the returning rogue agent couldn't be trusted. But, he tossed this thought from his mind, he had to fight now.

Salegg slid his hand across the spear, forming a protective barrier of water, to fend off the enemy's attacks. Then, as Alex attacked with his sword, he pushed his spear up against the blade, producing more and more water to deflect the attack. All the while, more waves were forming at the Captain's feet, raising him higher and higher above Alex, until he had the height advantage.

@Seraph Darkfire

Alex flexed his free hand as he flew up, doing his best to keep level with Salegg. He continued to slash at him with his sword, at the same time, he continued to create the gravity blades from before, attacking him from all sides. This was fun. He was pushing himself to new heights. He wondered just what he could reach if he kept doing something like this.

His body created a gravitational pull, tugging at Salegg, trying to bring him even closer, keeping him too close to actually attack him with anything stronger. With this new strength, he felt much better as a close range fighter, different from his previous combat style. It was a comfortable feeling applying pressure to Salegg. Before, the man had kept him on the defensive, now it was the other way around.

@Rurnur

Salegg fought to parry all of the sword strikes with the length of his spear, using the extra weight of the water to bounce them away. As Alex attempted to pull him in closer, Salegg pulled back his spear and allow the waves to throw him backwards, evading the blades of Alex's energy, except for one, which left light damage at the back of his armour. But Salegg knew he wouldn't take any more attacks from the back, before his armour would be completely repaired.

Then, he slashed at Alex with his spear, not directly attacking him, but manipulating the waves with great strength. He followed up with a hand motion, causing the waves to swiftly circle around Alex's armour, once again forming bubbles of dense energy at key points, his hands, feet, attempting to weigh them down while he gave in to the gravititional pull and charged back towards him, hastily thrusting his spear forward into Alex's core. He knew he had to be intelligent, and patient, in order to break through his defense, he was trying to put his enemy off-balance, and then use his gravity to his advantage, hopefully being able to land a powerful strike while Alex's guard was down.

@Seraph Darkfire

As Nanautzin crashed into the Officers attack he would feel the sharp pain of the bone in his arm breaking. The injury was so severe that the flesh was rended and the bone was sticking out of the injury. Thankfully even with the sacrifice of his arm Nanautzin could make use of the situation  by catching her leg. Nanautzin held his injured over the leg he held, dripping his infectious black blood onto her leg. His blood so powerful that a viral membrane began spreading over her leg as soon as the blood touched her.

Acantha slamed the two sending both flying, she made sure to grab Otrov's colleague with her string so they fell down within close proximity to each other where as Nanautzin flew in the opposite direction. As she landed on the ground she quickly got to her knees. "Otrov wishes good luck!" She winked to the Artifical and gave a small salute.

@SleepyBuddha @Gabriel Forfax

Gabriel gasped as the hard landing kicked air out of her lungs, taking her few more moments to actually sit up. Then, it was the turn for Officer to screech in agony as the black membrane began eating her leg away and she kept holding for it tightly. She exhaled and weakly saluted the Spider Queen "I think I'll need more than that..."
@Petroshka @SleepyBuddha

Unfortunately for Salegg, this wasn't a two dimensional fight. For Alex, one didn't have to dodge right or left, they could dodge in any direction. With a single expulsion of energy from his body, he created a small enough window of opportunity and used his gravity at his feet. Like a pendulum, he swung backwards and curved under Salegg. He was standing like a mirror reflection of the man. He held his sword between his hands and a single drop of gravity energy rolled down the blade. When it reached the tip, it hung there for a second before dropping toward Salegg.

Then, several spheres of gravity appeared next to Alex and propelled him away from Salegg. For a single moment, the drop did nothing, then a powerful suction force pulled on Salegg.

"Gravity Urchin" Alex snapped his fingers. The force pulling in was suddenly redirected. The single drop rapidly shot out in all directions, sharp needles of gravity filling an area of good size. This attack was named on the fly, but it served it's purpose. When the attack was finished, it did indeed look like a large urchin had sprung up in the middle of space.

However, just because this attack went off didn't mean that Alex let down his guard. He readied his sword, rotating black spheres of gravity around him in preparation of Salegg's retaliation.

@Rurnur

Salegg grimaced and pulled back from his attack, unable to react quick enough, he was met with intense pain from Alex's needle attack. He hastily formed a wall of water in front of him, catching the remaining needles in space. The gravity created small dents and warping across his armour, with some small cracks. Damnit, he was the first to recieve damage? Salegg could feel the rage building inside him, he couldn't hold back on using a lot of energy from now on.

He coughed and held a hand against his chest, quickly fixing a large dent in his armour, before turning his attention back to Alex. "Impressive, Immortal. That armour serves you well. But, let's see how you fare against the true weight of the ocean." He shouted and relinquished his spear, instead dramatically raising his hands into the air, which in turn, raised enourmous walls of water around both the Immortals. What began with foaming and bubbles, was now a giant tidal wave, which took up the entire view of both Salegg and Alex. With the movements of Salegg's hands, the water twisted and turned, gaining increased mass and momentum.

"Grand Tide!" He roared, as the walls began to crash down upon Alex, some slamming left to right, some falling from a great height, and some rising from below. He began to laugh, pouring more and more water into his attack, in an attempt to overwhelm Alex with immense force.

@Seraph Darkfire

Alex grinned. This was certainly exciting. He definitely couldn't defend against an all out attack like this. At most, he'd be able to hold out for a little while, but the energy drain would be enormous. He pointed his sword towards Salegg "Then I won't defend!" he pushed forward and his gravity propelled him faster and faster. Around him, the gravity twisted and turned, turning his momentum into a drill that pierced through the waves of water towards Salegg.

Of course, this wasn't without its risks. He could feel the water slipping through sections where his gravity was weakest, striking against his armor relentlessly. Fortunately for him, Salegg didn't seem to have perfect control and couldn't continuously hit one spot. The armor that was dented by the attacks slowly repaired in between strikes. It was interesting. He'd never thought that he'd be able to defend against this sort of attack in the past. This armor was amazing.

But his ability to attack was more amazing. His control over his gravity had never been so perfect. Before, he'd never been able to turn his gravity spheres into blades or attack with them. Now? He was fighting toe to toe with someone who'd previously wiped the floor with him.

@Rurnur

Salegg chuckled at Alex's courage, amused by the newfound determination. "You'll regret that!" He shouted with great intensity, manipulating the waves towards him, and the oncoming opponent. To not take a direct hit from Alex, he'd need to redirect the energy, pushing him out of range, becoming vulnerable to a counterattack.

The giant waves followed Alex through space, gripping at his feet in an attempt to decrease his speed. As Alex and Salegg drew nearer to eachother, the waves condensed, creating a super-dense barrier between the two, which Salegg swiftly broke. With a motion of his spear, the waves forced Alex out of his intended path. After this, Salegg was tossed in the same direction by his waves, preparing to strike the "drill" which was quickly losing momentum. Focusing his energy, he tossed the Aether-imbued weapon through the air with a flash of white light, aimed at the space where he prediced Alex would land.

As his weapon travelled through space towards his target, the "Grand Tide" surrounded Salegg's armour, forming a large, protective sphere of liquid, that would slow down any projectiles that would enter it, allowing for a quick evasion.

@Seraph Darkfire

Nanautzin breathed deeply and barely winced as his broken arm already began fixing itself. The black membrane quickly spread over her legs and was climbing up to consume the officer whole. Nanautzin took the opportunity to take a breather and let the virus do what it was designed to do.

"That doesn't look good" Alex took his sword and quickly swung it around him, several small droplets of gravity energy floating out around him. He clapped his hands together and brought them apart just as quickly. Several Gravity Urchins exploded around him, their various spires forming a latticework of needles surrounding him. He frowned. This took more energy than he'd original thought. He focused and slowly twisted his hands around. The large structure created out of his gravity energy began to spin.

The momentum easily picked up and once it was started, it was hard to do but would provide a decent defense for a time. He needed time to repair his armor and regenerate his energy. Making sure the structure was at a decent speed, he sat in a meditative position in the center. Slowly, the dents and cracks in his armor repaired themselves. If Salegg couldn't burst through his new defense, he'd be back at full strength in no time.

@Rurnur

Acantha stared at the officer's leg that doesn't look very good.. she got up and walked to her quickly. she then extended her heands with a string held between. "your leg might need to be amputated, or would you rather i try to shave it off with the high possibility of skinning your leg? or, well maybe? tie this string tightly where the membrane is about to spread? your choice."

@Gabriel Forfax @SleepyBuddha

"Hm, you think you're safe there? I'm offended." Salegg smirked and allowed himself to be pushed towards Alex, using the bubble of water around himself to bounce closer. He reached out and caught the deflected spear mid-air, and dashed forward, still within his protective bubble. He struck down using his spear, clashing with his opponent's blade, stopping the momentum, and allowing the surrounding waves to encroach upon Alex.

Salegg refused to give Alex a chance to regenerate, he instead struck him with concentrated blades of water. Keeping the protective sphere around himself, he thrust his spear forward, manipulating the waves to surround Alex's soul. He was using a lot of energy, but his habit of constantly re-using energy allowed him to regenerate at the same time. Tightening his grip on the spear, he applied more and more pressure on Alex's armour, forcing the weight of an ocean down upon him, while attempting to resist the force of gravity.
