THE BEGINNING
"The Children" is a collection of boys and girls that had been experimented on and injected with test serums before they were even born. At birth, they had been ripped away from their mothers and were immediately sent to a laboratory where they would continue to be experimented on, observed, and taken care of. This operation would come to be recognized as "Project Bluelight".
From the devious mind of Dr. Otto-Schmidt, the father of Project Bluelight, "The Children" would train to become some of the most prestigious covert operatives in the world. The boys were organized into the Sparrow academy, whereas the girls were placed into the Widow academy. When the time came, Otto-Schmidt would employ their services to an underground organization known as the International Coalition of Assassins, or ICA for short.
These experiments have been ongoing for thirty-some years now, and Dr. Otto-Schmidt has crafted three generations of enhanced operatives. Little do they know, there's more to the story than they think.

THE SOLDIER!
The role of The Soldier is that they are physically enhanced beyond peak-human levels. Their skin, muscles, and bones were genetically modified to be much denser than an average person's. This, in turn, enhanced their strength, speed, durability, and endurance. And while their body is much denser than a typical person's, it's also very flexible, allowing them to be much more agile and bend in uncomfortable ways easily. In addition, their lactic acid build-up is much slower, and their bodies don't require the same oxygen levels as other people, which gives them greater lung capacity and lessens the need to breathe just as frequently.

THE CYBORG!
The Cyborg is, in a sense, the predecessor to The Soldier. The serum administered to The Cyborg was a prototype version of the serum that would later be issued to The Soldier. There were a few complications with the prototype drug, though. One major birth defect was that The Cyborg had an arm growing at a decelerated rate compared to the other. Because Dr. Otto-Schmidt couldn't use that, he decided to amputate the faulty arm and replace it with a cybernetic prosthetic. The prosthetic is made up of a vast collection of metals and alloys. And, in addition to the cybernetic arm, The Cyborg is slightly enhanced beyond peak human levels in similar regards to The Soldier.

THE SCARECROW!
The Scarecrow is a unique rendition of enhanced killers' lineup, as their special enhancement is a unique psychological attack. Their special ability is to secrete a pheromone through their dermis orifices, which become airborne and induce terrifying hallucinations on a target. The hallucinations are so surreal and have been known to cause the victims to even take their own lives sometimes. It's worth noting that the hallucinations caused usually stem from the targets' trauma and/or phobias.

THE BIOHAZARD!
The Biohazard, like The Scarecrow, is practically a bioweapon. Their unique ability lies within their own bodily fluid, specifically their saliva. In their saliva lies a deadly paralytic toxin that—if left without treatment and the proper remedy—could cause death. The toxin, however, does not affect themselves, as their body produces antitoxins. This keeps them from reacting to the paralytic poison.

THE HOUND!
The Hound is the subject with enhanced senses, particularly their sense of smell, sight, and hearing. Their senses are so acute and precise that it's comparable to that of a dog. What's also unprecedented is their memory. They can distinctly remember and associate certain sounds, frequencies, scents, and colors with people or events.

THE SHARPSHOOTER!
The Sharpshooter is precisely that: a sharpshooter. One of Dr. Otto-Schmidt's early works, the serum that would create the Sharpshooter, enhances the synaptic firings between hand and eye coordination. In doing so, the Sharpshooter is quick to aim & shoot and misses seldom. This also enhances their basic reflexes, giving them ample time to respond in hand-to-hand combat scenarios.

THE SCHOLAR!
The Scholar's abilities are rooted in unparalleled cognitive enhancements. Their mind operates like a hyper-advanced supercomputer, allowing them to process, analyze, and recall vast amounts of information with flawless precision. Not only do they possess a perfect photographic memory, but they also have the ability to learn new skills, languages, and complex systems in mere moments. Every piece of information they’ve ever encountered—whether seen, heard, or felt—is stored and accessible in an instant. The Scholar’s intelligence extends beyond raw data recall; they are capable of analyzing and predicting outcomes with terrifying accuracy, often seeing several moves ahead in any situation, whether it be combat, strategy, or social manipulation.

THE CHAMELEON!
The Chameleon possesses the unique ability to manipulate the pigmentation and texture of their physical appearance to blend seamlessly into any environment. They can alter their facial and body dimensions in minor ways; the color of their hair, eyes, and skin; and can even alter their voice. This goes far beyond simple camouflage—it extends to becoming virtually invisible in any setting, from crowded city streets to dense jungles. The Chameleon’s adaptive body also allows them to alter the texture and even temperature of their skin, making them undetectable to advanced thermal imaging and tactile sensors. Their abilities also grant them subtle psychological and behavioral mimicry, allowing them to adopt the mannerisms, voice, and behavior of others for infiltration purposes.

THE UNDYING!
This subject's blood clots and heals wounds at an accelerated rate. Small cuts heal in seconds, while deeper wounds take minutes to hours. The character can push their body beyond typical limits in combat, knowing that injuries will heal faster than normal. However, this rapid healing requires immense caloric intake and energy, and overuse of the ability could lead to exhaustion. Their body is able to absorb kinetic energy too, and redirect it to their muscles for an additional push of force.
1.CHARACTERS
While the characters possess extraordinary abilities powers should not be overused or treated as the end all, be all. In dangerous or tense situations, creativity and strategic thinking should guide how characters wield their abilities. Limiting powers in certain contexts keeps the narrative balanced and realistic within the world. The roleplay prioritizes character growth, relationships, and personal struggles over simply showcasing abilities. Characters are more than just their powers, so motivations, fears, and personal dilemmas must play a significant role in their development. Show how their mutations affect their psyche and interactions with others, especially as their abilities develop further.
2.DYNAMICS
The dynamics between characters should be fluid and complex. Trust and betrayal, loyalty, and suspicion can shift as characters form alliances or rivalries. No character is required to be strictly a hero or villain; moral gray areas are encouraged, especially as characters and their personal motives, the academy’s expectations, the world around them, and their evolving powers.
3.COMBAT
No character is allowed to control the outcome of another player’s actions or dictate injuries without consent. Power-playing (forcing actions on another character without allowing them to respond) is prohibited. Psychological warfare and stealth tactics (such as the Scarecrow’s fear-inducing pheromones or the Chameleon’s camouflage) can significantly impact combat. However, these abilities require careful planning. Targets of psychological attacks must react realistically, experiencing fear or confusion, but they can overcome these effects with strong willpower or preparation.
4.STORY
As of right now, there is only one GM for this story (me, lol) and I will do my best to drive the story for the group and for teams—if that occurs. However, subplots are welcome and collaborative worldbuilding is encouraged HIGHLY. For example, creating new locations, factions, or minor NPCs that fit within the established setting would be appreciated and welcomed. This will help everyone feel more connected to the world and give them a sense of ownership over the unfolding narrative. Just run your ideas by me and we can talk further!
