Just for funsies, and it’s probably horrible inaccurate since it’s just the vibes I get from the other characters. I just picked out some music I thought fit them.
Boone - One
Boone has this angry young man vibe which instantly drew me to think of Metal, but more than anything, Boone feels sad to me. So a more downbeat song, that has a feeling of isolation considering how he’s cut off from others physically by his abilities. The twangy tone to the guitar also feels a little humorous, considering how dour the rest of the song is. Covering up his own pain by being the problem child.
Maera - The Calling
God, poor Maera, rough initial showing with her. A more dramatic feel than anything frantic. Soft female vocals echoing a past that was better when she was an obedient dog. Chorus to show her initial part of something, it was euphoric but she’s in the midst of a crashing drop back to reality. The song has a feeling of the past slipping away to a new future that could be better, but just keeps dropping out of reach.
Camilla - Ammunition
Camilla plays almost like a ditzy, softer feeling being the Scholar, you don’t consider her as dangerous, but once she’s in her element it’s these hard beats and lyrical threats that align with her fragile feminine appearance. She rides the line but still relies so much on other people and things, otherwise without alignment she’s a ball of anxious energy just cycling inside her head. Someone just needs to set her off and she’s a force of nature.
Kyomu - Bad Company (Ffdp)
Kyo is dangerous, it’s right there on the surface but he’s quiet. A threat to breathe around him, even to be on his side, he’s dangerous. He’s not even bothered much by it much, more so how he just seems to dislike himself. His thoughts have been mostly of others with a minimum of effort put in to think of himself. Despite how much he doesn’t like himself, he just doesn’t quite want to die but to be labeled as a danger. He’s wearing what the ICA has put on him. But he wouldn’t go down without fighting, lyrically I think it’s a close feel on how he sort of operates on a level of fairness with his own wellbeing minimized.
Sera - Remedy
Sera is soooo analytical of every situation and everyone. She’s been put through a ringer and used and left to be nobody while seeing everyone. Her clubbing and lifestyle in line with the pop techno beats that bring up images of alcohol and drugs to handle the mental damages. Plus, she knows better than most because she’s just been lucky enough to choose the wrong option most times in life yet survived. It’s given her a ‘I know better because I’ve been there’ feeling with an air of escapist hope that it’ll be better in the end when she can get free of everyone else and really start to love the person she wants to make herself into.
Conrad - O’ Death
Initially Conrad was making me feel like a military march, considering how practical and regimented he is, especially with how martial he is as well. But it made me think he’s less military and more an inevitable force and what kind of force is it that strikes us all, slow or fast? Death. Conrad is a reaper, an agent of death. He’s not shooting you as an act of survival, he’s a planned, readied death. Instant, over, and cold. Yet he still has a a warmth denoted in the warm vocals, a care for his kingdom of life that he rules over.
Yalena - The Beginning
Alas, poor Yalena, we barely knew ye, but she had a cold (under the mothering aspect) exterior that meshed with the vocals. She was also the impetus of this whole affair, a beginning and an end from her.
Silas - Simple man
Mommy issues~ but seriously Silas is a simple man, his wants and aspirations are the same as a 1940s 18 year old soldier draftee. He cares about those under and with him, he wants things to be happy and simple but knows the mountain to climb between then and know is a Herculean task. He’ll get there or die trying or kill anyone in the way of his golden goals.
