Fantasy Reaper: Reboot

Leah glanced lazily past each person as they spoke, but hid a bit of discomfort when the very-well-armoured person very insistently mentioned her joining them to train. She was almost painfully aware of the torn jeans and worn sweatshirt she wore. She did agree very much with the idea of using no firearms, but still disliked blades as well. In fact, to her 'likeable weapon' was almost an oxymoron.
'Why keep swords, too? We're weavers, not a militia. If a reaper happens to take your knife or whatever in combat, what would you do about it?'
"Honestly, I don't know.. hopefully our threads can work on their own or there's someone to protect us?"
the men led Scourge into a large throne room. Upon the silver throne sat a tall man. Long, snow white hair draped over his shoulders. A flowing black coat gathered under him. His silver eyes piercing right into Scourge as he entered. The scar over his left eye that stretched all the way down his face crincled a little as he squinted his eyes at the aproching man.
Scourge smiled behind the dark gray mask, his own silver eyes meeting those of the same hue. "Its a pleasure to meet you after so long. I've always admired your tactics." There was a look in his eyes that showed mischief.

For a moment, the black-haired girl had to slap a hand over her mouth in order to surpress a fit of laughter.

'No. Nobody can hope that their threads can do anything on their own! You're the weaver. Now, worst case scenario. You're on your own, you've lost your weapon and there's a reaper standing two yards away. What're you gonna do?'

Leah's careless air fell away again, and her posture straightened from its vague slouch. She was actually rather amused at how clueless Jack seemed about the concept of weaving. Brawlers rely too heavily on weaponry, she decided.

Jack knew he made a fool out of himself as she put her hand over her mouth. It was rather clear he hadn't been in for Weave long.. no one had decided to properly train him either so he had to figure out most of the basics by himself. "Well, I can't really punch a Reaper to death.. so I guess my only option is to run?"

@Spazzycat101

'Threads. A weaver uses threads!'

Leah herself was little more than part of the batch of new recruits, but she had still grown unused to battle without the skill with a quick grasp of new abilities. Her expression was a blend of amusement, and perhaps a bit of... pity? No, more amusement.

'You can't punch a reaper to death without threads, and you'll still find it difficult to chop one to death too, without threads. Do you even know how to use them?'

Her intention wasn't rude, nevertheless rude is what seemed to come out of her mouth. Bad, bad first impression... she reprimanded herself mentally.

"Well if you look over at those dummies there, you can see one is burning slightly. Why do you think that is?" Jack replied with a hint of anger, he took her question as an insult; and Jack didn't like being insulted.
"Why is this Weave not dead already?!" Aura demanded.
"You shouldn't be so quick to kill, Tsukiborodo. After all, the Weaver you so badly want to kill has your son and came to give him back to you. The least you could do is show some gratitude, or are you as uncivilized as the wolf so many affectionately named you?

Aaron walks outside and sits with his back against a wall and begins playing with a kunai, he envelopes his shadow thread around the his hand and kunai and smiles "If my mother could see me now, she'd be proud of me" Aaron sighs and draws his name in the dirt
"My.... Son?" Aura asked. A hush fell over the room.
"Yes. Your son. Now, let's speak as grown men rather than feral creatures. I'm not here with your son to chat about the weather, you know."
"So what do you want of me for my son's return?"
"Your cooperation, but it won't be like so long ago. You won't be the subject this time, the needles will be saved for someone else." Scourge gently lay Aura's son down on the ground, but his gaze never left the silver haired man.

Aaron walks back inside and sits down "I'm still pretty new here, I haven't made an effort to make friends" Aaron puts his arms behind his head and sighs "I still need someone to help me learn to use these threads properly"
"Explain." Aura said calmly.
"We need as many talented hands for what we're planning. I'm sure you remember the doctor from before, yes? He will help you with whatever you may need, and you do your part by acting as our army. I'm well aware that you have many under your control, who are all highly skilled. We'd love to have you as a part of our little... 'Family'."

"After what you did to me? To all of us hear? Take a good look at your failed project hybrid! Why should I not kill you now?" Aura demanded

"Because without that blood inside your veins, you would be no better than the civilians that come knocking on my door for shelter every day. You would be helpless without the Reaper's blood."

Aaron plays around with his thread and sighs "I still don't know how to properly use these things. It's weird though, all of us here are just like the reapers in a way, we just use our powers to fight back" he thinks about his mother and then shakes his head

Before the conversation could escalate, he decided to butt in and move between the two. He was much larger than both of them, standing at a solid 6'2" and he hoped that his reputation as the 'mysterious armored man' would intimidate them both into submission. He looked at Jack first, who was beginning to seethe with anger.

"I may not have Threads, but I'll teach you that you do not need them. If you know how to use your thread, fire Weaver, show me. Then maybe I can teach you some things about CQC. How about it then?"

With that said, he walked away from the center of them, taking a trek to the far end of the room. From there, he reached to his side holster and unsheathed a large tactical knife, its steel a carbon black and the hand guard reinforced by the same steel despite the main body of the blade being a dull gray. It was obvious that it was battle-hardened, just like the man in the suit, and the stance he took with it was low and careful. Both hands were forward and his feet placed quite a spacing apart. It was a battle stance, one that would need to withstand a large amount of strength. He would need it.

"Hmm, this should be interesting." Cam muttered as he took a few steps back to the side, getting a pretty decent view of the overall training room.

Aaron hears people talking and gets up "Guys!? Anyone around?!" He goes from room to room looking for someone, anyone. "I just wanna introduce myself and train with my threads"

"Oh, I'm sorry. You created us against our will. We should thank you for this! Praise be to Isaac FUVKING Fitzbach!" Aura yelled with a deep sarcastic inflection. Each word bringing him a step closer untill he towered over the masked man.

"Would you rather I had left you and your children to die? Would that have allowed you to seek revenge?" Scourge was getting tired of this. Even if he was rather short compared to the tall man, he wasn't intimidated. "Better yet, would you rather I had killed you myself? Then, you'd be able to feel what it's like to be worthless, weak, and unable to protect those you love. Yes, it was against your will, but would you rather be a mere human than what you are now? I mean, come on, it helped you see how great coffee is."
