Satan's Little Angel
Catherine puts the now empty bottle on the desk and looks at the door, her vision was blurred but she was determined to guard the office, there was no one to guard it from but still, she acted as a guard dog and stayed in the room, watching the door and occasionally looking around. Scourge was taking a while, she imagined he would have come back to his office to grab some things and then go again but for the moment it was just her, no one else had entered. Catherine was starting to get worried but then shakes off the feeling, Scourge...No Aaron ran this place which mean he was powerful so he'd survive whatever was thrown at him...right? She wanted to believe it and yet something tugged at her, it gnawed on her rationality and caused her to worry. Even the most powerful of men can be killed. No one was completely untouchable and she worried that somehow Aaron had been hurt.
The alcohol in Catherine's body made her feel sleepy and she had to fight away the urge to fall asleep, her heavy eye lids persistently tried to close. Aaron would be back soon and Catherine would be there to greet him. He was coming back, she had to remain positive, lack of confidence in one's superiors could lead to doubting them and therefore undermining their power and leadership. She rests her head against her arm which is on the desk and looks at the computer. She tries to turn it on with her voice, her mind obviously forgetting how they work due to copious amounts of alcohol "computer on...activate...abra kedabra...power on?" she sighs, the computer wouldn't tell her where he was. There was a small chance this place had security cameras and even if it did it was unlikely that Aaron was still on base. Then again he probably would have come back to the office to grab some things if he was venturing out into the waste so that suggested he was still in Weave. Maybe it would be better if she went to find him. Catherine tries to stand but her legs just wobble and she falls back onto the chair and sighs, the whiskey didn't want her to go, it wanted her to relax and feel it's warmth in her stomach and hell, her body complied. She would just wait for Aaron to return
