It's basically a fox in the body of a human


Primarily in Japanese folklore and anime


The more tails a Kitsune has the more powerful it is


In certain forms of media it claims that a Kitsune has to be at least another hundred years to get another tail


Believed to possess superior intelligence, long life, and magical powers


Usually shapeshifts into a human when it learns to around 100 years of age


Supposedly brilliant and mischievous tricksters


In some stories they have a hard time hiding their tail in human form
