Reality TV on Prime-Time

Alexander hesitated seeing the mask, but then frowned. "You changed your mask?" he said, frowning. He thought he would only have to grow accustomed to the one mask. I wonder how many masks this guy has then... he must really go to extreme lengths to hide his face." he thought to himself. He found himself approaching the kangaroo-headed man, deciding he needed to get over this strange fear already and start making some friends.

"Eh? Yeah, not intentionally though." Benjamin cleared his throat, looking over at Alexander with a sigh, "You wouldn't understand, and I honestly would not expect you to." He chuckled, standing up a bit straighter and looking out at the ocean, the city on the skyline, "It's really nice out here... But I suppose a celebrity would be used to it, huh? It's fine, I wouldn't treat you any differently... Even though I am pretty sure we both have pretty bad opinions of each other already, s'only natural." His bright eyes glowed through the eyeholes of the mask as he turned his head to look at the famous person who seemed so casual at the time.

"I may see the same view many times, but I've never gotten over how beautiful it is." Alexander said, sitting down beside this masked man. It was true: for him, it was impossible to simply get over how wonderful the world was. When he turned to face the guy he was surprised to see the brightness of his eyes even through the small holes of the mask.

Benjamin was a bit surprised that Alexander responded so honestly, and felt a bit guilty for being so... 'Rude', "Sorry, I shouldn't assume... I've just learned to think everyone's a jerk right off the bat..." He forgot that Alexander couldn't see his face and smiled a bit, "Er... Sorry about the mask... I have a few..." He sighed and turned back towards the water, hands on the fence, gripping the painted-white wood and cracking it just a bit, drawing a small amount of blood from the tips of his exposed fingers and letting both the awful pain of splinters and the pleasant ocean's spray flood beneath his skin, "Insecurities... In public... At least when people know who I am..." The man released the plank from his grip to examine his hands before he glanced over at Alexander, "If people knew my true identity they'd tear me apart... It's happened before and I've already had personal experience with the types of people my fans and haters are... That, I do suppose you'd understand, though I don't believe your endangerment is to the same degree, no offense meant... You should be really glad you aren't me... People will kill to learn secrets..." Sadness laced his smooth voice as he spoke, the sound slithering out through openings in the mask, slightly muffled but clear enough to comprehend.

"I understand, I think," Alexander said, turning back to the sea. He didn't notice kangaroo man hurting himself by squeezing a splintered plank. Instead, he was more contemplating the brightness of his eyes. He hadn't been able to get a good long look at them, and the color was a bit too hard to make out. He wondered what dark secrets and possible insecurities could hide behind such a bright set of eyes. It was I that moment Alexander decided he was going to do whatever it took to become this guys friend and see what his face really looked like. "What was your name again?" He asked, not really remembering it from when he said it before... If he said it before.

The man gazed out at the city a moment before Alexander spoke up and caught his attention, "I'm Benjamin... Though I suppose you could call me Ben... You don't seem nearly as bad as I'd thought you were but... We'll see... Reality shows bring out bad sides of people and I'm really no exception, to tell you the truth." Benjamin cracked his knuckles, Maybe the others aren't actually going to be awful people either... Hopefully. His gaze drifted up to the sky, more vibrant than his eyes, but the blue reflected made them seem much brighter than they already were, though by nature he wasn't the most positive or the most energetic outside of the internet, and it showed plenty about him... Though plenty wasn't quite enough.

"Let's try to keep civil in front of the cameras. I know this is a reality TV show and it really runs on drama, but we don't have to be part of that noise." Alexander said, getting up. "I'm a little hungry now," he said as he heard his stomach grumble. He really was in the mood for pizza; he wondered if he could order some for the house. "I'm gonna go inside. Are you coming with?"

Benjamin chuckled, he wasn't usually the starter of drama but he sure as hell kept it going, that was his problem, the Internet had corrupted his tolerance for drama and so he always lashed out once discussions truly became heated, "Eh? I guess... Not like I can feel much air through the mask... I should probably take care of my fingers too... Yikes..." He laughed, after he'd started down the road to CIPD a few years back he was slowly losing his ability to feel pain, the stabbing in his fingers didn't feel much like pain anymore, though he kept in mind that these things came and went in waves so before long he'd feel it, though delayed the injury would be a burden for about a day and disappear again like it'd never truly been.

Alexander didn't know about Ben's inner turmoil. He offered out a hand to him, just wanting to be polite. "I'm thinking of ordering pizza," he sort of mumbled. When a few seconds passed, he wondered if Ben was just lost in his own sea of thoughts, so he just let his hand hang limp by his sides. "I'll... See you inside."

Ben glanced back over, "Sorry... I'll probably be in... In a few minutes." He signed and looked around to see the direction the cameras pointed in to find that they had this place within perfect view and pressed his tongue against the roof of his mouth. "Tch" Before long he made his way to an area just out of the cameras' viewpoints, and slid the mask off of his head to feel the breeze on his face, exhaling a sigh of relief for this moment of what was the closest thing to comfort he'd felt in a year or maybe two, either way, the smell of the ocean was soothing compared to the smell of the rubber kangaroo head, which was warm with insides thinly layered in pure sweat and maybe a few tears from his allergies.

(I'm cool with that, but I'm just getting to the dentist so I might be a while, I have an hour app, ugh.)

((Hey no problem. I'm going to skip to when the pizza arrives, alright? The fourth person could be arriving too. That would be you, by the way, since I'm playing Peter the drama slut. Haha.))

Alexander paid the delivery girl for the pizza, who seemed to have won some bet because she looked like she was about to explode where she stood. Of course, the girl asked for Alexander to sign a poster for her - which he happily obliged, throwing her a sparkling smile. He had ordered two large pizzas, just plain. He didn't know what to get for everyone, since Peter had locked himself in his room, loudly talking to one of his friends on the phone, and he hadn't seen Ben come in.

He served himself two sliced and plopped on the couch in front of the TV. Maybe he could get away with just doing nothing but eat and watch TV. he looked up at the ceiling, where he saw a couple cameras at each corner, wanting to get the best angle for each moment of drama. Sighing, he reached for the remote to watch whatever was on.

It'd been a loooooong day, and having just finished a tour, twenty-three year old super star Robin Matthews, aka "Ron Star", was a bit frustrated, still maintaining his friendly smile, though inside he felt as if punching through the window of the limousine he rode in, Ugh, so much traffic... And my throat feels like shiiiit... He waited for his door to be opened, what with his sprained wrists and heavy eyes he couldn't do much on his own, and he had been getting a lot of hate before he notified the media of his driving incident, and they were more than apologetic. "Mm, I forget who's here..." He threw his loose scarf over his right shoulder to hide the burn that crawled up the crook of his neck and descended down his back to his rib cage from a mistake with pyrotechnics on a small-scale performance in Maui, that day had been the same time he'd broken his collarbone, sprained his ankle, and busted his kneecap, he was known for his clumsiness and innocent behavior, though he did explode from time to time, and it'd saved him more than once so for his rage-strength, he was grateful.

He approached the door and the same man who'd opened the car turned the knob and swiftly opened it. "Sir." Robin smiled and nodded before he walked in, placing his hands on his face to magnify his youthful voice, "Heigh hooooooooooooo~!" He called out to notify the others to his presence, his blue eyes sparkling and bright though the pain in his throat still lingered and his eyes were lined with darkened circles from his fatigue, he hopes to seem sociable before shit inevitably hit the fan.

Alexander, still in the living room, shifted his gaze from the TV to the newcomer - well, Ron Starrrr, who he knew was crazy famous, even more than him. He didn't like affiliating with other stars too much, because he thought they were all too dramatic. All the media coverage of his injuries just made him seem a little too clumsy, or at least attention-seeking. He didn't seem to have a real personality, and since sincerity was very important to Alexander, it just made him dislike him already. However, he did want to make some friends; maybe the media just made him seem attention-seeking and in real life he was a relatable, reasonable guy. "You want some pizza?" he offered.

Robin flinched at Alexander's presence, "S-Sorry, I didn't-SOOOOO, yeah... That'd be cool... Yo?" He laughed shyly, not really used to seeing people due to the bright and very hot spotlight that baked him like a cake in an oven, though he was glad he didn't see the faces of his many... Many fans. He couldn't handle more than a few people, honestly, but perhaps he could come out of his shell a little during this show, and hopefully he wouldn't lose his temper, but with his apparent bipolarity, his calm might become difficult to maintain. He hesitantly approached Alexander and looked at the television, "Whatcha watchin'?" He asked with an almost child-like curiosity before the back door slid open and a man with the head of a kangaroo walked in. "Ha-ah, ha ha, what's... What's that?" He pointed, only hiding most of his face behind the side of the couch.

Benjamin looked up, Ron Star... Lovely... The corners of his mouth turned down beneath the mask and his narrowed eyes glowed in the dark, "Alexander, you know this guy?" He spoke with muffled irritation, eye twitching ever so slightly.

"Who doesn't?" Came Alexander's terse reply. He just wanted to have a calm early dinner with some pizza and Hell's Kitchen. Was that really too much to ask? He was already putting s slice of pizza on a plate for Ron. He smiled at seeing Ron's expression upon seeing the kangaroo mask. "Yeah, you'll have to get used to that. He dons a different mask like every few hours," he said, recalling how quickly he was able to change his mask before.

"N-No no no, no no, nuh nuh no no no!" Benjamin rested a hand instinctively on his him, "No. I do NOT, it was a mistake!" The ears on the mask flopped around ridiculously as he spoke, and he put a hand up, 'just stop', he headed up the stairs, fingers wrapping around the snout of the mask and as he reached the middle he started running and slammed the door behind him once inside, throwing something over the camera near the front and ripping the mask off of his face, a large spider crawling out onto his arm and eliciting a less-than-manly scream from him, "Oh god oh god oh gooooooood!" He threw his jacket off and ran face first into a wall, causing quite the ruckus.

"W-well... I suppose he has a reason to dislike me... I trashed him on live television a few days ago when I lost my temper... I apologized I don't know how many times but..." He reached out and quickly took a hold of the plate as his jacket slid off of his wrist, dropping to the ground beside the couch, "I tend to do that... But I'm sure you know, everything I do," He continued speaking as he took a bite of the pizza, not truly having manners, he didn't really think to wait, "It's all over TV, it drives me NUUUUUUTS." He chuckled and swallowed, "Can't do anything without the media making a big deal of it. Like my wrists and my... Car accident... Last time I try to drive, lemme tell ya!" He stretched his rather long legs out in front of himself, looking around, "This is a cool house!"

"Shut up! I can't fucking hear my friend on the phone!" Peter banged on the wall in response. He apparently had the room right next to him, which meant that he could not only hear whatever Ben did in his room, but also that Ben would be able to hear everything that went on in his room too.

"Yeah..." Alexander said awkwardly, trying to focus on the TV. He didn't even care that Ron was talking with food in his mouth, he just wanted to kick back and relax like he did at home, when he had the spare time.
