READY RANGER ONE
Fiction... that's what many presumed the Power Rangers to be. Just a simple children's television series based on an original Japanese show (using stock footage to create an Americanized version of it). Several years ago, with the constant advancement of technology, a video game company called Genesis began the developing of a virtual reality helmet that would allow any user the ability to be mentally transported to an artificial digital world that would allow them to live out the childhood dream of being a Power Ranger. The project itself was christened "Project Arcadia," a nod to not only the gaming term "arcade" but also the fantasy of a paradise.
Designed to allow users to customized their avatar and their specific difficulty levels, Project Arcadia receive an immense amount of buzz from the public with several sponsors feeding money into the creation of the game. As such, momentum for the game was an all time high, elevating the egos of those who were on the production team of the game. The excitement of seriously being a Power Ranger outweighed the financial expenses that were to come with it. Soon came advertisement for a Beta with multiple people wanting to get their hands on the game before anyone else. Unfortunately for Genesis, they didn't realize that the electrical energy and digital power from the games creation would create a real life morphing grid that would cross over into the real world. Project Arcadia's game was now present in our own world with multiple villainous threats plaguing the streets. But with the release of numerous monsters and aliens alike... so were several "betas."
Unlike most video games though, these betas weren't hand selected by Genesis. Nor do they know if the new owners of these spheres desire to be beta testers. Regardless, destiny has chosen these individuals to be the saving grace of the world from this strange but serious threat that will soon terrorize the world. They come from all walks of life (some good, some bad), but the rangers ultimately must come together if they want to sustain the world as they know it. With a click of their spheres into their morphers, they will hear the words "Ready... Ranger One!" and spring into action!

Hey all that are interested! This is a little idea that I've been floating around for quite some time. The plot itself is still up in the air, but I thought it'd be a cool idea to blend some Power Rangers and Ready Player One concepts together to make a fun game. Not sure if this RP will take place on RPNation or perhaps via Discord, but it truly depends on the audience. If you are interested, let me know here so that I can get a feel for who all would play. As far as the number of rangers, I'm not sure honestly, but I don't want to manage 20 people (not without a co-GM at least lol!). So maybe 8 total? I'm even open to the idea of people playing multiple characters if it comes down to it. Okay, I've talked enough. Let me know if you're down or not!
Edit: Also, roles/colors are not gender specific!
