Starting your new life in Neolithic Times...
Gaia
Have you ever despised your current life in the modern world? Ever wondered what it might be like trying to survive in an actual jungle instead of the concrete Jungle? Do you want to kickstart civilization by your own hand but also want to use magic? All of those things are possible, but be wary other-worlder, this world is just as ruthless and cold as your old one, predators and the elements forcing you to always risk your new life.
Gaia at first hand looks like a young planet, unscathed by civilization. Large forests inhabited by giant mammals in the colder climates and huge reptiles ruling closer to the equator, the two clashing near the tropics. The sparse amounts of sentient tribes that you might recognized won't be too friendly either, for they also act wary of new people. But at least they are more willing to conversate than the beasts solely focused on survival.
However, you might sometimes wander upon what looks like the ruins of an ancient advanced civilization, giant arcane monoliths now depowered lay dormant. But what might you find inside? Possibly something to help you in your new life or deadly magical traps designed to catch foolish interlopers like you?
The Ruined: Humanity. The largest in terms of sheer population of the different races and also the most decentralized and least technologically advanced. Most of them gathered as tribes of dozen hunter gatherers, a few cities forming around rivers focused on farming. Human Elders and Shamans tell of times when they used to rule the world, in unison with the other races, but the great cataclysm obliterated their great empire and their knowledge lost to time. Luckily they seem to be endlessly adaptable, so they persist.
The Stone-kin: The common nickname given to all of the mountain dwelling races, dwarves, gnomes and their crazy cousin the duergar. If it wasn't obvious enough these hardy folks enjoy living in homes dug out of mountains and other rocky formations. They aren't particularly populous, but they make that up by gathering together in their mountain-side strong holds. These people seem to be naturally acclaimed to order, like a group of ants with a clear hierarchy. There's always a monarch, workers, soldiers. Unfortunately, they lack the touch of magic, but make that up with their runes and stone crafts.
The Wild-kin: Call them what you want, elves, pointy ears. No matter what you say everyone can agree that they are loved by nature. There are many types of elves, sea elves, wood elves, night elves, snow elves. But what they all share in common is their affinity to their environment and magic, that and their isolationism. More often than not Elves prefer to cover their homes in magic and keep to themselves, extremely distrustful of outsiders who they think want their secrets and their bodies, elven meat apparently capable of permanently increasing one's magic.
The Beast-kin: The newest and most varied race, each one related to an actual animal spirit guardian. Like humans they are spread out and tribal, but unlike humans they all share in common their extreme physical aptitudes. Their attitudes vary from tribe to tribe, so it isn't easy to narrow it down.
The Green-kin: Monsters created in the aftermath of the cataclysm they say, savages and barbarians intent on feasting on all the world. However those are just rumours, people don't really interact with the green-kin and when they do is usually fighting. Safe to say, not the best reputation.
The others: There are many other races in the world of Gaia, to the Dragons who's species are barely in the dozens, capable of domaining over entire islands and forests. To nymphs and sirens, who lure fools to feast on their essence.
If it wasn't clear enough I plan to run this game in 5th edition DnD. Mostly because it's what I'm most familiar with and it's like the skyrim of systems, very easy to homebrew in.
The players will spawn in the world as level three characters, equipped with what they had in the modern world pre-transpiration. You will also get your choice of uncommon item to spawn in. I'm open to allow homebrew for your character and I even welcome it, we just need to discuss it first.
A few new additions to the game I'll make. Due to the state of the world currency that goes everywhere obviously doesn't exist and to simulate survival I'll replace the usual rations and water sacks to a food and water point system.
Your character needs 1-3 (Depending on race) points of water and food per day. Every day where you didn't eat food or drink water the day before you gain a point of exhaustion, which only reverts back by one after eating, drinking and long resting to simulate recovery.
"First rp I've actually put effort in, hopefully birdsie's curse doesn't afflict me." - Me, just now.

Look fellas, I'll allow like 6 people at max in this campaign. People tagged above have priority because I might have a crush on them, but don't tell anyone hehe.
Funfact: The first rubber balloons were made by Professor Michael Faraday in 1824 for use in his experiments with hydrogen at the Royal Institution in London. `The caoutchouc is exceedingly elastic', he wrote in the Quarterly Journal of Science the same year.
