    In a sense, Angel's name was born of a single solitary wish her parents made deep within their hearts- one that she at least would be not like her older siblings. She came to the world the only daughter among 5 siblings, and they had but one thing in common- an utter disregard for hygiene. Her mother and father ran a coffee shop with aspirations of growing into a full-fleshed restaurant, one which thanks for their effort and dedication had come to know a degree of success. However, when they were just starting out the family lived through hard times, in which time, money and stress had to be saved to the utmost extent. Refined dinners around candle lights? Regular baths? Making sure your kids were keeping up their grades? Those things weren't realities within that household for a long time, skipping baths and eating fast food was the norm, and Angel's father's drinking problem sure didn't help. Fortunately he was the kind of drunk to do embarrassing stuff or pass out after a good dose of puking rather than anything more drastic. When he wasn't drinking his brains off he and his wife were focused on the coffee shop instead, which while this helped them elevate their service enough to properly grow as a business, had less than pleasant consequences in their son's upbringing. They found a sense of comraderie and care in one another they didn't find in their parents, and soon enough they'd barely listen, they'd give themselves to every vice, and barely bothered themselves or after themselves. Too late did their parents realize their mistake, and as they had their first daughter she was a hope for them, one that they could raise at least one child right yet.
    
    She was raised with utmost care and attention, and with constant vigilance to ensure a proper upbringing. By now, her parents had wisened up to many of their former faults, her father was even undergoing therapy to help with his drinking problem, and though Angel would still see him drunk and covered in puke now and then she still admired his struggle. She was always the type to want to help out, even her brothers who perhaps out of jealousy perhaps as another symptom of their usual behavior, either didn't pay her any mind or outright took joy in just teasing or pranking her. Their behavior, appearance, and seeming continuous ways of finding new lows to sink in grades or otherwise, scared the little girl from the possibility of growing up to be like them, but what really sealed the deal was a certain potted plant. She was given a seed by her school, as a sort of symbolic project where she would help to "raise the flower", which would grow at the same time she went through primary school. She was proud of herself, as she poured heart and soul into caring for that little plant. At the time, yet another of her siblings had been born, and unlike Angel who felt othered by her older brothers, this one was welcomed by them. She attempted to scold her brother's behavior and shield her little brother from their influence, but this only led their mood to worsen. They had no more reservations about bringing a party into their shared room even when she needed it to study, and soon enough she found alcohol ruining the smell of her flower, the ashes ruining how it looked and one finally, they accidentally dropped a lighter on it and set the plant ablaze.
    
    That was the moment went Angel snapped, heartbroken. Her parents agreed to give her her own room, and one would proceed to seal herself and her stuff away from her siblings. From that way onwards anything her siblings wanted, liked or were, she would strive to be the opposite. In many ways, this was a good thing, exactly what her parents wanted. She had better manners than ever they could've hoped for, she studied like her life depended on it, and outside of anything pertaining to her siblings she had a healthy social life. The last of her brothers was born when she was undergoing highschool, and she decided she would be the best she could be as an older sister and as an example. She would frequently play with and stay with her youngest brother, helping and pampering them and teaching them, all the way keeping an eye out to ensure those bad influences couldn't get to him. The boy grew kind and loving to help, but quite careless and naive. The day came, when a certain client had a bad allergic reaction, and among other symptoms had a bad case of nausea. Angel had served him the plate, but her major aversion to such gross things had her arguing with one of her brothers over who should clean up the mess, and in the meanwhile her little brother decided to help by going to the kitchen and getting the stuff to clean himself. Little did he realize the closet was actually still locked, and he kept pulling and pulling, until his hand slipped and he was knocked against a table behind him, where a knife was put down near the edge.
    
    Angel barely had time to react as she entered the kitchen looking for her little brother, and saw the knife wobbling, slowly turning to fall off the table. She lept to him, covered him, and felt a sharp pain as the knife went through her skull.

Effect:
Your Strength score is 19 while you wear these gauntlets. They have no effect on you if your Strength is 19 or higher without them.

Curse: When this item is attuned to, it merges with the user's hands, making them become dragon-like, and reveals its curse. The user's mind is clouded, creating an aversion to civilized behavior over animalistic one. The effect is normally small, restricting speech to a degree and altering some of the user's senses, but using the item's power such as during combat will increase the effect, such as by giving them a great compulsion for brutality or fighting using one's own body as opposed to tools. The user cannot have a greater intelligence score than 10 by any means, and after combat or succeeding a strength or athletics check they have disadvantage on all intelligence checks for an hour. Over time, the draconic influence over the body will continue to expand.

Backstory:
Vanessa was always an imaginative one. Always the one with an imaginary friend wanting to throw plays and entertain others. She saw a certain degree of responsibility that she should work hard to bring happiness to others and make the world a better place. She always had a sense of charisma about her making her somewhat popular getting along with everyone growing up though despite it she tended to only have a few real close friends. For those who were close the term 'quirky' wasn't unusual to explain her tendency to act though she was very quick to try and make people around her happy. She experimented with many creative endeavors. She wrote, sang, danced, and performed. For her acting she felt was her call. To become a star people could admire and to bring happiness to the world.

Vanessa's career in acting was... not quite what she expected. Getting into acting wasn't as simple as she had hoped. While she had a certain degree of charisma it wasn't so easy to find your way into the industry. She managed to nab small gigs as little short background roles. Her first chance of being a 'starring role' being in a rather sketchy horror movie as one of the first teens to get offed by a comically dressed killer monster. It was a role many would of avoided though she saw it as an opportunity no matter how humiliating most considered the role to be. While the role didn't go far for her career it did at least get her work on another horror project once again baring all for the camera and getting killed off. Despite it though she found little extra opportunity and found herself only more ostracized by those she called friends and her family distancing themselves a bit further from her in shame despite her using an alias.

Her acting career seemed to be sputtering in place with the little work she did get only bringing her dirty looks and little in terms of a check. While dedicated to the craft she found herself working as a waitress doing her best to make money barely scraping by rent living with someone else and spending much of her free time trying to find a part. The few who seemed to recognize her rather then show admiration seemed more content on crudely flirting with her or verbally degrading her. While it wasn't a pleasant experience she felt confident that what she was doing right and the voice in her head only encouraging her to tough it out that in the end she would manage to make it big. Unfortunately a chance encounter with a delusional fan in an ally on her way home from her nightshift at the restaurant ended her first dream in red as she was whisked away into a much deeper dream.

Backstory: She fell over, hit her head on the edge of a desk, and died, an unremarkable way to die, a fitting end.

Eva was exceptionally ordinary, upsettingly so, and while she was told it was fine by her loved ones and companions, there was very little to be considered unique or interesting about her. She had friends but nobody that close, she'd tried romance but never made it past the third date, busied herself with her work as a receptionist in a hospital and overall lived a uneventful life, settled in a small home of her own but with no one to share it with and always feeling lacking, but never sure how quite to get there.

Her life was lacking, and she was always stumped on when her big break to a more fulfilling life was going to come, which is why it came as such a shock to suddenly find herself not existing. She might've cried at how lackluster her life had been if she'd been given the chance, but in the same vein, she might've laughed morbidly at living a "perfect" worry-free life.

By the time she died in her sleep, she had 26 grandkids (and great grandkids) and she knew everything about each of them.

Waking up as a cat isn't what Catarina expected. But these things happen, no one likes a fuss.
