Other Random question of the day

Probably not, but language diversity & evolution + dialects exist. The debate over how to say 'gif' is another can of worms though.

Within reason. As mentioned, different dialects mean various words have different pronunciations already.

The English pronounce lieutenant as left-tenant
American English pronounce it as loo-tenant.

There are myriad other examples as well! I definitely don’t think we should throw general conventions out the window but there’s definitely a middle ground. (Though ofc if everyone pronounced everything however they felt like, we would have a hodge-podge language that few would verbally understand lol)

That's a fair point. I mentioned dialects and variations because there is a tendency to believe that there's only 'one correct way' to pronounce a word -- but of course, conventional pronunciations exist for a reason.

Yup!! Not for years and never finished them, but I've dabbled for a fair few fandoms. The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Warrior cats, Star Wars... among many others. I spend a lot of time daydreaming alternate endings/plotlines/scenarios for my favourite pieces of fiction and sometimes I like the idea enough to write a bit of it down.

I have a couple but I prefer to keep them to myself, even though I try my best to not make them cringey. They're mostly sequel ideas for some of my favorite games and shows, but I'm working out the plot. Maybe someday!

It's how I got into reading and writing, in fact. I've plenty of WIPs though, since none of them are finished . . .
