I think some classic animated movies did really good job at that. Like Bambi, Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Kung Fu Panda etc. They're made for kids but they introduce serious topics very naturally, even if kids may not grasp them right away.
For example, Bambi shows death and Human vs Nature theme, Lion King shows that avoiding problems doesn't really help to solve them, Beauty and the Beast shows how caring about someone else can change a person for the better, Kung Fu Panda shows that hard work pays off and so on. There are plenty of other animated movies that show serious topics without too much moralizing.
