Other Random question of the day

I think some classic animated movies did really good job at that. Like Bambi, Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Kung Fu Panda etc. They're made for kids but they introduce serious topics very naturally, even if kids may not grasp them right away.
For example, Bambi shows death and Human vs Nature theme, Lion King shows that avoiding problems doesn't really help to solve them, Beauty and the Beast shows how caring about someone else can change a person for the better, Kung Fu Panda shows that hard work pays off and so on. There are plenty of other animated movies that show serious topics without too much moralizing.

Probably the latter. I'm not good at controlling finances. 10k a month would be more than enough to live comfortably for a long while

Inflation I think would hit both types of income here, since they are both fixed, but there’s also definitely a lot more uses you could have for the money right away that would not only potentially further increase the amount, but indeed act as an additional security to get money over time as well as immediately. Take about 10% of that initial money (already nearly 30 times the total amount you’d get over all the months with the monthly type) and invest in big-name brand stocks and government bonds. Relatively safe securities like that may not give much profit, and in the former case you may even lose money due to the price of the stocks, but you still get money on a regular basis. Put a lot of it in different banks to reap more interest also, and you could invest in things the government is giving big subsidies to, because governments are have a very hard time admitting they made a mistake in subsidizing something - even if it means continuing to put more money on it under the philosophy that if it didn’t work the first time it was because you didn’t do enough of it. Whether the cause is public perception or corruption that kind of investment has some artificial stability, though whether one can in good conscience put their money into that kind of investment is a more personal morality question.


One thing I would have to be very careful with though is not crashing the economy. That amount of money presumably magically produced or something doesn’t seem healthy for the existing problems of inflation. I guess I would try to put some money into a place to live and ammenities with durability and quality in mind, price be damned. Aside from that I would mostly focus on saving for a rainy day and minor personal uses. Either way I would probably try not to make too much of a display of wealth outwardly. That kind of money would be sure to get a target on my back after all. But still, I think so long as I maneuvered with care, I could enjoy things and if nothing else the stress of not having enough money would be a thing of the past.

Pffft. Too many times to count. On too many things to count. Starting in Highschool, actually. But most of my "wild years" were in my twenties and early thirties. I was a big party girl for a while, but I cooled my heels about five years ago. But yeah, it was quite a ride. Went dancing, went driving, went to festivals. Sometimes would just go hang out and do everyday things. Sometimes I'd wake up and it would take me a minute to figure out where exactly I was. Sometimes I'd wind up branching off with groups of people I'd only met that night and wake up back at their place on a living room couch. Sometimes, I'd be having conversations with people that weren't actually there!

Ahhh.... fun times.
 
Never have done drugs and don't ever plan on it. I have consumed alcohol before just not enough to get black out drunk. This was in my twenties. I don't do it anymore nowadays.
 
I can see the argument either way.

On one hand, it’s undeniable that some people’s expectations of things can be to an extent shaped by media. Rather than affecting people’s perceptions of the baseline though, I think it affects mostly people’s hopes and what they think of as the ideal situation (or alternatively, what they think of as the way others perceive them). Sometimes a person can get so distracted by how they hope things would be that they forget to look at how they are- dismissing what’s right in front of them or even rejecting it in favor of something they simply hope for.

On the other hand, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that the actresses in a movie roll partially or even specifically chosen for their looks aren’t exactly an accurate representation of the female population. There’s a bit more blurring of the lines lately as calls for diversity and representation have indeed added at least a partial goal to utilize a wider variety of looks, but in general I don’t think it’s gone so far that people would take celebrity looks as the metric of measurement, or rather, not setting them as the default on that metric.
