Random overly-detailed linework

Hello, this is my first time posting my art here on this site. I've been drawing for quite a while, so when I'm making characters, I tend to end up drawing them. I'm posting these two, because they kind of evolved away from their original inspiration, and have become entirely new characters. In consequence, neither one currently has much of a backstory. feel free to leave any critique or comments, or feel free to make suggestions about backstories. They are nicely detailed pieces. I believe a lot of reference and research went into creating the attire.

I intend to share more the problem lies in scanning and cleaning up the sketches. I've also been experimenting with color. I'm new to digital, but my attempts at scanning my watercolors have been less than satisfying, so we'll see where I get with that.
