Futuristic Rage on the 7 Seas!

Hanz entered the submarine and looked at the controls. Pipes, wires, cables, gauges, and valves filled the walls of the submarine. He walked to his quarters and picked up a photo. On it was a picture of his grandfather and his crew on the top of the submarine all smiling. "I love you grandfather." He said in his German accent.

The girl on top of his sub continued to make repairs, as she tracked the antiquated technology the sub was made of, looking for any other fsults

"fine then! " She shouted not caring anymore. She kept walking.

The men walked away furiously, determined to get Kit in prison for her insulance, hoping that the world doesn't find out what they did with the Dauntless

Kit didn't look back at the men. She decided to head back to the ship, she was going to grab her things.

Suddenly lights on the submarine began to flash red. The throttle was flung foward by no-one in particular. Then the rudder moved up and down and the propellers turned once then began to spin. The moorings that held the submarine in place snapped and the dry dock gates opened on their own. Through the radio Hanz yelled, "Captain!! My submarine is jumping it's moorings!!"

Before the sub could move much, alarms went off and the gates closed, as mechanical arms formed from the dry dock and locked the sub in place, the mental model in control keeping the sub from leaving, incapable of being overridden

The subs 88mm flak gun turned and began to shoot the arms holding it down with high explosive. Hanz heard the gun going off and added, "you forgot the flak gun captain." Soon it was pummeling the gates with high explosive as well. One shell hit the wall every 3 seconds.

The mental model retaliated and the flak gun was shredded by a hardlight dome that encased the gun, causing its rounds to bounce around shredding itself to pieces

"As Admiral of the Retribution, I'm ordering you Hanz! Shut that boat down, or evacuate everyone on it, now!!" Jason demanded

"Are you sure? Was it because of those men?" He asked curiously before alarms started going off at the dry dock where Hanz's sub was
"Yes. They are going to send me to prison so I'm going to get a head start." She looked around. "Whats with the alarms?"

"I can't!! It just took over!! What...." what was heard was the sound of programming hacking other programmingand shutting it down. The submarine wasn't hacking the a.i. But it was overriding the subsystems and turning them against the dry dock's a.i. . He then said one thing that was a shock for everyone. "I forgot to mention... The submarine... It's alive."

As the sub tried to override the dry dock, it failed and received a massive electrocution "the ship is attempting to cut itself loose, prepare for imidiate termination" the mental model stated as she jumped from the sub back to the dry dock

Defensive turrets swiveled and aimed at the sub, the mental model made precautions that if the ship tried to override a system again it would be fired upon

"Listen girl. They just want to help." A text appeared on all dry dock control screens saying. "Why should I let you repair me if your just going to strip me and scrap me like the rest of my bretheren!?" Over the radio the Hanz said, "It's just scared. Don't shoot it. Would you shoot a puppy because it is scared of something?" Hanz exited the radio and types into the console, "Power down and let them repair you. They are here to help." The submarine's propellers slowed, turned once and stopped. The sound of dying turbines made the submarine sound like it was crying.

The mental model doing the repairs and approached Hanz "where is the AIs core?" She asked

"That's the problem. The submarine IS the A.I." He wasn't sure if the model would understand so he continued, "The submarine was built so that even if the entire crew was dead or just not there, the submarine could operate 100% on its own. Now it would be a lot slower at things such as fighting etc., But it could operate by itself. That meant that the only way to access the A.I. was to completely dismantle the submarine and risk the A.I. being corrupted by exposure to the air."

"Then by authority of Brighton Beach, I'm placing you and your crew under protected survaliance, and your submarine and AI are under lockdown until it can be dismantled and repurposed" the woman stated with authority

"If you have a problem with this, you can take it up with the admiral, but now you can leave willingly or be forcefully escorted off the vessel" she added as a couple other mental models, coupled with some armed soldiers entered the vessel

(I have my reasons, don't worry, shes not going to be destroyed or anything)(also you forced my hand when she went rogue :P )
