I like your feedback. Honestly, though, I am working with a fantasy setting with sci fi elements mixed in. I've put three years into this project and am finally making it a reality. I figure if I work at it, I'll come up with something good.

Considering that you are a very imaginative writer, I know you will come up with something good.

I don't think there need to be "humans" per se. I like what you've shown me so far.

For a story to really work, it needs to have characters with human-like intelligence, but other than that, they could be aliens, animals, or even plants. As long as they have conscious thought, you're good

In my mind, the difference between a "person" and an "animal" is that animals do not have the same level of thought as humans do - or at least not the same variety of intellect.
