Futuristic Rabbit Doubt - A Murder Mystery RP

mauvexkitteh

Sugar Coated Psycho Lover

One day...

A wolf snuck into a group of friendly rabbits. As others fell asleep, the wolf appeared in its natural form. Day by day, the wolf killed the rabbits. The rabbits, not knowing which one of them was the wolf, arranged a meeting. The tribunal decided on the one among them that they believed to be the wolf and killed it. If they choose correctly, the rabbits win. If they were wrong, all the rabbits would be killed by the wolf.

This is a story of such a game.

Now...

A group of people from all over the world, of different ages, of different occupation, find themselves in a strange room with the sight of a murdered corpse. The people do not know why they are there or how they got there. All they know is that they are in danger. They need to escape.

"WELCOME TO RABBIT DOUBT"

"Please! Don't do this!" The girl screamed out, falling to the floor. She immediately began to slide herself closer and closer to the corner with a look of terror that only could come with the fear of death. "I'll give you everything!" Her words sputtered out as she felt the wall against her back. "The fame and fortune! You must understand! Just don't kill me! Please!" She screamed louder in hopes of someone to hear her, of course however, there was no chance. Tears washed over her face as it became known that her bargaining was doing absolutely nothing to stall her oncoming fate. "Please!" She held out the word in a final plea. There was no more time for her to speak. Her eyes widened. She couldn't breath. The life faded from her eyes. Blood began to drip from her neck.

Dangling from the ceiling, there she was.

The first victim.

RABBIT DOUBT is now OPEN.

The room stood with the lingering smell of blood. The girl's body remained hanging in the center as her blood pooled below her. The many other alive bodies were scattered around with newly printed barcodes found on different areas of their skin. The only light came from the blurred windows and the eerie blinking from the red light found by the door. On the floor written in blood, a message read:

"The Liar Must Die"

Sitting by the message, a note read:

"Get to know the last faces you'll see. Opening the doors will require the hidden keys."

Fai woke up in a unknown area and started to squirm a bit. He sat up against the wall frightened and looked around the room. As he saw all the people he grew more scared. "H-hello?" No one responded. He got on his feet and walk towards the door. As he looked at the floor and on the note he grew more terrified. He opened the door cautiously. Followed with the creak of the door a loud shriek slipped his mouth. He fell on the floor sobbing. "What's going on here!?"

Ryan begins to awake. His vision blurred and his mind dazed, he can faintly see a pool of blood forming next to him, and a stockinged foot hanging from above. He begins to moan, trying to gather himself. His vision begins to clear, and he finally realizes what he's seeing. A dead body, drenched in blood, hanging from the ceiling. He jumps back and hits the wall behind him, trying to scream, but unable to get his voice together. Looking around, he notices 8 other people scattered on the ground, unsure if they're dead or asleep, he tried to get their attention. "Hey," he whispers, "Hey, wake up!", this time shouting. He begins to scream "Where the hell am I!? HELP! HELP ME!" but to no avail. He loses his voice again. Tired and weary, he feels like passing out again, but he's strong willed. Too tired to stand, the only thing he can do is wait for something, anything, to happen. Staring up at the ceiling, he simply waits.

"Whoa whoa whoa calm down a bit there, bud. No need to be so loud." Angelique responded to whoever was screaming. This was before she opened her eyes and saw exactly what the situation was. "Ok, I'll take that last part back." She sat up and looked at the dead body across the room. She had read enough books to know that this wasn't a good sign. She stood up, maybe a bit too fast, and started to pace around the small area. Her mind was racing with thoughts, but none of them made sense, and only caused a headache. She really couldn't believe that this was a real thing, and that was the only reason she didn't scream like the others."So!" She said in a loud voice, hoping to wake more people up. They can't all be dead, can they? She then turned to the guys who had shouted. "I have no idea what's going on and it seems like you don't either. There is at least one dead body in this room, which I really don't remember ever entering, and it's all very unnerving." She paused to take a breath, "I'm Angelique, nice to meet you."

Ryan stayed silent. After several moments, he begins to shout. "Fuck, fuck, FUCK, this is all FUCKED!". He gets up too quickly and attempts to walk, but promptly collapses to his knees again. Much more quietly this time, he whispers "What is this place...". He looks to the other people scattered around the room. "Maybe," he began, "maybe we should check them. See if they still have a pulse, ya know...". Ryan begins looking around again, this time much more rapidly. He eyes the door at the other end of the room, and the small device attached to it. It looks like a laser. Like the kind you'd find in a clothes store, where you'd scan the bar codes...

Fai looked at the two people who awoke and backed up to a wall. "S-someone did this! I can't trust any of you!" And with that he clutched his head and curled into a ball. "God. Help me. Help me. Help me." He rocked back at forth and tears started to form at the corners of his eyes. A while later he went into a calm state and and wiped his tears. As he stood up he faced the two humans and smiled. "I apologize! My name is Fai!" He said in his adorable Australian accent. He looked around again at the unconscious bodies and saw the bar codes. "So what's up with all the prices tags? Are we for sale?" He pointed at asleep person who's barcode was noticeable.

In his superhero dream Connor was flying above London, the skies were clear and blue and the streets were once again safe to him. His crimson cape fluttered against his back and of course, his white underwear was on the outside of his black uniform. His brown hair was slicked back over his skull and his brown eyes sparkled happily, knowing all of London's criminals were behind bars. Someone, somewhere in the city began to scream in terror, calling for help. He stopped and hovered in the air, his superhearing listening out for which direction the sound was coming from. He flew forward quickly, trying to discern the location of the cries for helps when another scream from his right stopped him.

"Fuck, fuck, FUCK, this is all FUCKED!"

The shouting was loud and ripped him from his dream, the child sat bolt upright, his chocolate brown eyes wide as he looked around quickly. It was then he saw her, the girl, bloody and hanging with a pool of blood growing beneath her.

"DADDY?!" He screamed in terror and scooted backward away from the woman. "DADDY WHERE ARE YOU?!"

He was shaking like a leaf, he just couldn't look away from the dead woman. He'd never seen a dead person before. His eyes filled with tears and he got to his feet, still just staring at the dead woman.

Ryan looks back and forth between Fai and the kid, unsure of how to respond. Suddenly, he notices what Fai meant. Everyone had a barcode stamped somewhere on their bodies. He thought back to the laser on the door... Still having trouble speaking, he slowly stood up, and simply pointed at the laser device on the door. Once he was on his feet, he began feeling queasy once again, and stumbled into the corner of the room. With his palms against the walls for support, he vomited, then stumbled backwards and put his back to the wall, wiping his mouth on his sleeve. "Shouldn't," he began "shouldn't we start-" he paused for a moment. "We have to wake them up..." he said, looking at the rest of the bodies on the floor.

"You're right, we should get everyone up, and then have a group meeting. Someone should know what's going on. Even if nobody does, we can figure out what to do then." Angelique said, calmly, although she wasn't calm at all. There was literally a dead body hanging from the ceiling in the middle of the room. But she refused to look at it, she wanted to avoid getting a front row seat to Dead Bodies: The Musical. So when she moved, she looked the opposite way. She walked over to the young boy, standing right in front of him, trying to block his view of the dead girl. He had looked absolutely terrified, and she had to do something about it. "Hey, it's gonna be ok, alright? We'll be out of here soon." She said in an optimistic voice, hoping that maybe some positivity, no matter how much of a lie it is, might be good for everyone.

He stared up at her, his lower lip trembling, his hands balled his little fists by his side as a feutal attempt to keep himself calm. Connor threw himself forward, pressing his face against her body as he clung to her. After a few moments he tilted his head up to look at her, his hands still clutching her clothes.

"W-where are we?" He asked. "Who... who... hurt that lady?"

She hugged the kid back, an automatic reaction. She thought for a minute, creating the best way to answer him. "Right now, I don't know the answer to either of your questions, to be perfectly honest," she said, "But we'll work it out, I promise. We just need to, uh, do some detective work." Yes, you know exactly what you're saying, don't you? She mentally mocked herself. She didn't say anything else, knowing that it wouldn't come out well.

Constantine slowly opened his eyes, the screaming and talking doing their job to wake him up. Once his eyes were open, his vision a bit blurry, but slowly getting clear, he stood up. Still under a state of sleepiness, Constantine rubbed the bridge of his nose, then his face, then rubbed his eyes before looking straight at a female body, hanging in front of him. Scanning his surroundings, he noticed that there are more people in what seemed to be a dark room. Some were asleep, others were awake. But either way, Constantine ignored them. The body in front of him was far more interesting for him than the others.

He slowly walked towards the body, casually. Once close enough to her, the first thing he noticed about the corpse was that, despite the fact that she was hanged, there was blood all over her neck and down her body, her clothes, filled with blood and it's stench. He stepped aside, beginning to encircle her, like he was admiring a piece of art in a museum, round and round, looking at every detail, at every line and curve. There was no remorse on his face, no disgust, nothing to show his mood, his thoughts about this. His face was, expressionless.

Only after he encircled the body at least four times, he noticed something on the floor. Carefully analyzing it, that something was a sentence. It read, the liar must die, in blood, which Constantine presumed to be hers. And now, that he has analyze everything he could about the body, he turned towards the little group of awake people that was formed. He opened his mouth, ready to speak, but he was quickly interrupted by yet, another scream, forcing Constantine to turn his attention towards the source of the scream.

She was feeling uncomfortable. She switched her position tons of times, trying to find a proper position to sleep. Until she got completely annoyed and rose from her laying position, resting her body on her posterior and two palms. "Edik, I swear, if you stole my pillows again, I will--". Anka stopped from her babbling in Bulgarian, as she noticed a woman hanging on the ceiling and a man next to her. She screamed, from the bottom of her lungs. She curled back, into a ball, against the wall, eyeing the man. "By the love of God, would you please stop yelling. I do not quite believe that I am able to take it anymore." the man spoke. In English. If Anka was confused earlier, you could imagine her state now. "D-don't g-get close!" she yelled. "I-I'll...I'll kill you! I"m a medical student, I-I know where to hit!" she tried to scare him.

"Please, miss, stop it. If you haven't noticed by now, please do. We are not alone and there are children with us. For their state of mind, do not make this any worse.". As his words came out, Anka looked around the room, getting a grip of her surroundings. He noticed bodies spread out around the room. Some seemed dead, others, alive and scared. "I-is anyone okay? Anyone hurt?" Anka tried to get a hold of herself, trying to be strong, but deep inside of her, she was probably more scared than the little boy inside the room.

She pushed herself up and with the help of the wall, she got her body up. "Come here." the man said. "You mentioned you are a medical student, yes?" the man asked. "I want you to diagnose the cause of death and time of the body." he added more. "Hey! Just because I'm a medical student, that doesn't mean I can do that! And not without equipment!" she yelled at the man. "I thought you, wannabe doctors, can do that, without equipment. Well, I have never studied medicine, so I am completely clueless about it. Either way, please do come here. You might learn a thing or two." the man continued. He ignored the man and turned towards the group next to them. "I'm Anka. I-is...does anyone need medical care?" she asked, her voice shaking, as she walked towards the group.

English. English...language?

Alfonso snapped awake, his hand felt wet and his nostrils were filled with the smell of copper. He fumbled for his glasses and was eerily shocked that he was actually wearing them. He remembered, when he was about to sleep, he placed his glasses on his lamp desk instead of sleeping with them. Alfonoso's vision instantly cleared, though they weren't even blurred in the first place, and to his horror, he saw his hand was dipped in blood.

"Qué coño!?" He screamed as he flailed his bloodied hand, watching the blood splatter on the concrete floor.

His emerald eyes widened in fear as he screamed "Qué coño!" repeatedly. Where the hell was he? This wasn't his home. Quaking in fear, he glanced upwards and the horrible corpse that was hung on the ceiling burned into his head. Alfonso grabbed at his hair and nearly tore it out, his panting was getting worse.

But wait, he swore he heard people talking. Not in his native language though, in English. Still shaking, he forced his legs to move and he stood up, his hands slowly coming down by his sides.

"H-hello..? I know I heard english here..." Alfonoso stammered, his gaze reluctantly travelling across the strange room.

'The Liar Must Die.' was written in blood on the floor and it intensified his shaking. 'M-mierda...English people are nuts..' He thought.

"¿Has dormido bien, princesa?" Ryan said, glaring at the guy across the room screaming in Spanish. Ryan slowly stood up, clutching his stomach, his knees wobbling. He steadily walks towards the door at the other end of the room and grasps the handle, attempting to force it open, but to no avail. He begins to look at the laser device implanted on the door. Turning to Fai, he says "Hey, remember what you said about the bar codes? I think you all oughta come look at this..."

Someone screaming in... another language made Connor jump and he turned to look at the people who had just woken up. They were all as confused as each other and seeing them scared made the child feel less alone.

"I want to help." He felt a surge of bravery as he pulled back from the woman. "I can be a great detective! Like uhm... uhm... Sherlock Holmes! Do you want to be Mister Watson?"

Angelique smiled as the boy became less afraid. "Alright then, Sherlock. Looks like we've got a case. What do we do first? Maybe question everyone? Or inspect the room?" Or examine the corpse, she added mentally. Although she really didn't want anyone to, somebody would have to take a close look at it.

Connor put on a fake hat, (of course it's a Deerstalker), and he looked up at Angelique with his hands on his hips. "We should question the people first." He nodded decidedly. "Make sure they're ok and stuff. Come on Watson, let's go!"

He marched toward the guy who had been screaming in a language he didn't know. "So, what language were you just talking? And why?"

@VolcanicMagma

Alfonso heard his native language but the response wasn't what he wanted nor expected.

Scrunching up his face in annoyance but still shaking he responded.

"Lo siento por tener miedo, seas quien seas!"

He shivered and silently regretted for saying such a thing, thinking that the boy who replied with such rudeness would KILL him. Well, on the bright at least someone knew his native language. Before Alfonso could do anything else, a young boy walked up to him and asked a question what language he was talking in.

Slightly jumping at the sudden question, he pushing up his glasses slightly as he stared down at the child. 'Oh my god...even a small child is involved in this?' He thought.

"W-well I...I'm speaking Spanish, joven amigo. Because i-it's my native language, like English is yours."

@Solitaire

Thomas's eyes slowly opened as he heard the screaming and talking around him. He slowly sat up, groaning and rubbing his head. He looked around the room at the other occupants, wondering what was happening. Then he noticed the that he didn't recognize the room, or any of the people. He looked around frantically, trying to understand what was happening. He reached into his pocket to see if his glasses were still there, and pulled them out of his pocket, hastily putting them on. He stood up and saw a couple people standing together, so he walked over and tapped a girl on the shoulder. "Uh, sorry to bother anybody, but can someone explain wh-" He noticed the corpse hanging from the ceiling and froze. He turned away and shook his head. 'No, no, no. You're gonna turn around and everything will be fine. There will be no corpse and you'll be home with Dad and everything will be fine. Just turn around...' He slowly turned back around and almost retched at the body. He took a few breathes and looked around at each unknown face. "What is going on...?" He adjusted his glasses on his face so they wouldn't fall off.

"Nobody knows," she said in response to the confused face and words of the guy that just stood up. "I mean, that's something, right? Mass amnesia or whatever? But otherwise, nothing." After she spoke, she thought she might have come off as a little bit rude. But she was just telling it as it is.

"So, you're a... Span... uh... Spanish person? Make a note of that, Watson." Connor tapped his chin thoughtfully. "So, that other guy... he is one as well. Does that make two? What about you, Watson? Where are you from?"
