Ashley
'Ash'
Stevens

\/—\/
Ash listened to all the people around him. He was surprised he hasn't met any of them before in that... place. Maybe they could become closer friends outside in the real world. Looking at the different people there was certainly a variety around him. He felt as if he'd be a lot more closer with the nymph and mermaid than the male werewolf. Ash wasn't one to live up to stereotypes but he looked intense.

Ash was about to talk about their next move when they hit something. He was startled for a few seconds before being shook back to reality. Did they kill someone? He wasn't looking forward to see what they had hit but this didn't make him unconcerned. He actually felt more concerned than he thought for what had happened. Swinging open the van door, he clambered out and looked around the front of the vehicle. There was nothing there, just a small spatter of blood on the van and road.

He turned to the driver. "What the fuck, dude," he exclaimed, his fangs clear to see, "What the hell did you just hit?" He didn't care that the driver was a girl or a werewolf. He was about to throw down on this brunette bitch who couldn't drive. "You could've fucking killed something! Why didn't you watch where you were going?"

Emilyn Raines

Emilyn sat quietly in the back seat of the jeep, watching the forest line as they drove farther and farther away from Hell. She had memorized the faces in the vehicle. Friendlies, for now. However, she knew none of their names and none of them knew hers. It was an interesting acquaintanceship.

Em jumped when the jeep came to a halt after hitting something. Drops of blood had flown up to the windshield as proof of the event. Emilyn was jostled into hitting the back of the seat in front of her with a thud. “Ow.” she said, her voice laced with annoyance at this new predicament.

Just then a man, all fangs and anger, bagan yelling at their driver. Emilyn wasn’t happy about what happened either but he was obviously being a jerk. “Hey, you need to calm down. We’ve all been in that prison for a long time. Who knows when the last time she has driven was? If you thought you could do better you should have grabbed the wheel.” She spat angrily at Ash.

Forest and hills for miles. Deep within the sprawling green of the woods, Remi knew the facility lay. A facility that many viewed as a personal Hell. Captive, starving, mistreated... so many poor souls lived within those walls. Remi only felt guilt as they drew near, wide eagle wings gliding effortlessly on rising hot air. There was no way they could possibly break in and get people out, not without at least sacrificing themselves in the process. With a heavy sigh, Remi scoured the small, winding road that led to and from the facility. A semi full of supplies should be arriving sometime today.

But... what's that? A white shape moving on the road, going at absolutely the wrong speed only to break suddenly. New or inexperienced driver. Dead giveaway. Tilting their wings, the feathers shifted to form that of a falcon's shape as the nephilim made a dive for a clearing close to the road. Diving the road will only put the facility right on their tail, so landing close but not on would give them a bit of wiggle room, just enough to get in the van and help what was clearly an escaping group fly under the radar.

Trotting up to the road on foot, Remi splayed their wings lightly, approaching the passenger side of the van and making their presence as a non-human being very evident. Truth be told, they hadn't considered what to do if the van was full of facility members, but there was very little chance of that happening, so they took the risk. Seeing the blood on the bumper, and sensing the body-less soul on the ground - a ghost, more like - Remi walked over to the approximate area they sensed the invisible being, looking in their dircetion, and then into the wind shield of the van. Sure enough, they were escapees and not employees. Their wings splayed further, the tips of the primaries now arched high over their head almost as if defensively for the ghost on the ground. Remi gave the group of escapees an incredulous look, shaking their head. Hopefully the ghost could manifest themselves long enough for Remi to pull them into the van. Remi didn't want to drive, but would be more than willing to do so if the driver didn't want to or couldn't.[/div][/div][/div]

ESME CASTLE
Esme breathed a small sigh of relief, the pain in her shoulder getting easier with every one who said they were okay. Knowing she got them out of there, mostly, unscathed, eased her conscience about the brutal manner in which she was forced to go about it.
Her conscience began slipping however, the pain in her shoulder very quickly becoming harder to ignore. The road was started to melt, and her vision blurry. With a shake of her head, she snapped out of it. If there was one thing she learnt in the facility, it was endurance. She grit her teeth and kept her eyes on the road.
Behind her, the discussion continued. She smiled upon hearing the chances they had of surviving out here. Wherever here was. She hadn't even seen signs of life so far. "She's right," Esme added to Ayla's resolve. "This thing is way too conspicuous to continue using~." Another sharp pain came from her shoulder, and for just a moment, she closed her eyes. "If we can't-." Her eyes suddenly opened wide and her feet fumbled for the breaks. She was too late to avoid hitting the boy in front of them, but it very quickly came to a complete halt when her foot found the break and the car came to a violent halt. She gasped in pain when her seat belt smashed against her shoulder, and cursed out loud, at the sight of a body in front of the car. "Fuck! I'm sorry!." One moment he was there, then he was gone again. The blood on the windshield convinced her she wasn't losing her mind.

From behind her, one of the male's began screaming in her ear. Her head whipped around to face him, and immediately she reacted to his fangs with her own. Her eyes changed to their werewolf red with a deep growl. "He came out of nowhere!" She was ready to shout again when the pretty red head beside him spoke up for her angrily. She was surprised to hear it from her, and turned her head further towards the girl with an apologetic face, then back to the Vampire with a quiet growl."Thanks..." She moved back, her eye colour fading when she made out a figure in her peripheral. Esme returned to her seat to inspect the winged individual outside of the car. Her mouth went agape as she watched, what she made out as a her, move to the front of the van. She snapped her mouth shut as they raised their wings, almost defensively. Esme suddenly noticed whatever she hit wasn't in front of them anymore. Strange to think this angel like creature did. The werewolf brought a hand to her shoulder over her bullet wound, her brow furrowing at the look the winged female gave her. "Who did I hit? There was a boy in front of the van." She spoke out loud, eyes still on the other escapee. At least, she assumed they were one. With a dissatisfied shake of her head at herself, Esme put the car into park, tore off her seat belt and opened her door to climb out. She was going to tread carefully. Esme stayed at her door.

Sirena

Sirena glanced up at the nymph as she spoke, then glanced down at herself. She was relatively clean compared to some of the others, but she still had blood on her from all the death back in the facility that she'd had to crawl over. "That's a good point." She scratched at some dried blood on her arm, giving up after a few seconds with a sigh. Another girl spoke up, saying that she knew how they could get gas, and Sirena looked up to see her looking at the mermaid, saying that she was right. Sirena sent her a grateful smile.

Then it happened. One minute they were escaping, the next, the van lurched forward and there was a dull thud as it collided with something. Someone, actually. Sirena's head jerked towards the front of the van, where she saw the blood splatter and gasped, her hands moving to cover her mouth. "Ohmygod." Her voice was drowned out by the vampire up front, snapping at the driver. Sirena narrowed her eyes at him, lowering her hands, but before she could say anything someone else did.

Sirena had hit the seat in front of her as well when the van hit the person, and she'd crashed back into the guy beside her, though she'd quickly moved away from him. Now she cast him a sideways glance, and it was then that she saw the winged person outside of the van. "What the-?" She stopped herself, hearing the drivers door open. "What are you doing?" Sirena called out, but she was already gone, out of the van to inspect the scene.

"What do we do?" She asked no one in particular, feeling small cramped into the vehicle with everybody.

Branch quivered, looking toward the vehicle as he heard the shouting, the blaming, the arguing. It wasn't the drivers fault. He wanted so badly to tell off this vampire, tell him that it wasn't the werewolf's fault at all. The ghost wasn't too surprised though, with the sudden blaming. Vampires and werewolves never did get along. It's been that way for generations, everyone knows that. Branch swallowed hard, turning his attention on the winged individual who approached him. He scooted back slightly, letting his body fade from view as he watched the person, his eyes looking over the wings.

Branch watched the person move in front of him, raising their wings defensively before Branch slowly relaxed. He closed his eyes, breathing out a shaky breath before he slowly pushed himself to a stand, wincing at the pain. This was the worst part of being a ghost. You could feel all the pain in the world, but not die. You could survive with 100 broken bones... it's horrible, really. That's why it was important for Branch to stay in his transparent form... but he had yet to learn that. Hell, he was only a free ghost for 3 days before those employees had found him and had taken him to that facility, trapping him and forcing him to stay in a solid form.

Branch blew out a shaky breath, letting his solid form take over as he turned visible to the others. Blood ran down his legs, along with a few scraps on his arms and face. He licked his lips, looking at Remi and giving them a small nod. He turned his attention on the vehicle once more, tensing when the werewolf suddenly approached them. He took a step back, flickering out of view before coming back. "I-I'm sorry... I-I didn't mean to. Is everybody okay? Nobody got hurt, r-right?" he asked, his heart pounding in his chest as he looked from the werewolf toward the van. "I-it was an accident," Branch said, meeting the wolf's gaze once more.

They looked between the two, before flipping the hand extended to the ghost over in an offer of support to the partially insubstantial being. Dealing with ghosts was trickly - they survived anything because they were already dead, but they still felt pain, so sometimes recovering from certain accidents was harder, depending on how old the ghost is. With a reassuring smile, Remi beckoned the ghost closer.

"What are your names?" Remi asked, looking from the ghost to what they could only assume to be a werewolf, given the display of power in the van. "My name's Remi. If you're escapees, I can help." Silently, Remi hoped this wasn't some kind of elaborate trap the facility had put together to get them back into a cage. Remi would sooner die than go back to that place. "Ghost, if you can walk, we need to get you into that van. If you don't mind," Remi turned back to the werewolf, "I'd prefer to drive. It's not because you hit a ghost, but rather the way you were driving was way too suspicious, and if you're going to make it out, you need to slow down a bit."

Taking a moment to collect themselves, Remi looked between the two of them, and their wings folded neatly on their back, not quite tucked up against but still held upright so as to take up less room. "I have a place all of you can stay at. It's something of a halfway house for our kind. Let's get in the van, and I'll tell you all about it more on the drive."[/div][/div][/div]

AYLA HEBERT

The beautiful blonde sent her a grateful smile and Ayla was just about to return it with one of her own when she was sent flying into the seat in front of her. Of course, they weren't cushion like she remembered so many other car seats being, but instead a firm black leather that collided with the left side of her face.

Ayla vaguely heard the sound of the impact but it didn't quite register. She could hear the voices of those around her, concerned, but couldn't make out what they were saying. Her left ear throbbed with each beat of her heart and she instinctively lifted her hand up to inspect it. Thankfully, everything seemed to be in working order.

Her attention was drawn to the blood splattered across the windshield, still wet and leaving long streaks down the glass, then towards the figure just outside of the car. Had they hit them? She leaned in for a closer view, trying to ignore how close she was to the guy next to her. She could feel the warmth of his skin, hear the beat of his heart. The girl next to him called out as the driver opened the door and exited the car. Ayla hadn't even noticed her until now, but as the girl stood to her full height, she realized she had to be around her own age. In fact, they all seemed to be.

"What do we do?" The blonde asked no one in particular.

Through the window, Ayla could now see the partial shape of a person with icy blue eyes and magnificent wings that towered far above the car. With the door open, she could clearly make out some talk about a ghost and driving them all to some supernatural-halfway house. Absolutely not. That sounded exactly like an experiment or trick the assholes at the facilities would come up with.

"Excuse me," she said as politely as she could to the others in the backseat as she forced her way out of the car. She left the door open for all of the others to hear the conversation that was about to ensue. "No way. How do we know you're not from the facility and you won't drive us right back to the hell hole we started in?" she asked the figure incredulously, finding it difficult to stare into those icy blue eyes, which were staring at a mangled, bloody mess of a person in the road. Well, that explains what they hit, but it sure didn't explain some savior with wings arriving in the middle of nowhere with promises of safety. Perhaps it was natural instinct or merely the years of abuse she suffered at the hands of her captors, but Ayla wasn't convinced of anything they had said.

Ash rushed over to the guy. He was strange. There weren't many ghosts at the facility that Ash had ever seen and he certainly never met one; the same thoughts were also directed towards the Nephilim but they weren't as important right now. Attention needed to be directed to the boy on the floor. He didn't even really care that the girl driving yelled back at him.

He spoke, "I'd try to carry you but I'm not that strong and you're taller than me." He hummed and thought to himself for a second, "Where's that tall guy werewolf," he asked. "He'd probably be able to get you to the car. Someone get him. He's ripped." He knelt down and put his hand out for the ghost to grab. He hoped he had the strength to keep his physical form otherwise this would be an awkward situation.

PRIYA
I am most alive amongst the tall trees.

Priya turned her attention the dark-haired girl sitting in the back with her. She’d been silent up until this point but Priya had took notice of her when she entered the car like the rest of them. The young nymph nodded in agreement. She was willing to listen to her or anyone who knew more about this vehicle. “Yes stopping would be best. Surely we’ll be stopped if we continue to drive. With so many beings inside of this car and some covered in blood we are bound to stand out.” She said.

“And-!” Priya was going to speak again but was interrupted when car came to a sudden halt. The ebony skinned beauty was prepared this time. Instead of flying into the seat infront of her she braced herself, she grabbed onto the headrest and held on tight. When she looked around the driver’s seat Priya let out a shocked gasp. Blood was splattered against the windshield. She had heard the sound of something hitting the car. Priya was more than sure that it was a body.

She watched as the vampire shouted at the werewolf and the sound of the werewolf’s defensive words. It wasn’t long before the werewolf stepped out of the car to see what had happened. Instead of leaving Priya stayed put. Attempting to save something had gotten her captured . She watched as the werewolf spoke to someone with white hair. She then watched as someone else left.

Emilyn Raines

Emilyn watched, quiet otherwise the words she’d said before. A lot was unfolding. They’d hit someone, which she’d gathered by the references of ‘him’ instead of ‘it’ as some of the crew had got out to investigate. Furthermore, there was an interesting figure in front of them. Emilyn rolled down her window so she could hear what was going on more.

“Let’s just get the hurt guy in the car and get out of here. Asylum sounds pretty good to me.” she said to no one in particular. She didn’t completely trust the idea of the asylum. Being hunted, captured, and tortured makes the idea seem pretty unrealistic. However, they had no where else to go and the creature suggesting it was obviously supernatural himself.

MENTIONS
Might as well be all [/div][/div][div class=Scroll][div class=Text]Remi watched as two more jumped out of the car. Amatures. The driver should have just rolled down the window, and pulled up one side of the car next to them. Keeping themselves and the group mobile would have been ideal, but the fact that more people were jumping out of the car only meant that the group was now a bigger, more stationary target. One of the people who jumped out, a girl, spoke up and stated how Remi's offer was possbily a trick, and the nephilim pinched the bridge of their nose, sighing heavily in response, before turning their icy blue eyes onto the girl. "If you were so concerned about me tricking you, don't you think you should have stayed in the car?" they asked. "After all, that van provides you with mobility and defense, if not a quick escape route, worst case scenario. If this were an ambush, whoever's closest should jump in the driver's seat and take off, regardless of who was inside or outside the van. Getting out assures that you're prepared to stay out and fight, or at the very worst, get left behind. And given how all of you apparently just broke out, I doubt you're prepared to do any of those things. So, if this were an ambush, I'd already have you re-captured and sent back to where you came from."

A second girl with fiery red hair rolled down the window and shouted that they were okay with the plan, and Remi pointed in the girl's general direction. "She has the right idea." Remi turned back to the ghost, who now had a vampire attempting to help him. "Let's get everyone in the van. If you want to continue driving," Remi stated towards the girl who had been driving, "you may continue to do so. I'll just help navigate towards my house. Or if you'd rather I drive, that's fine too, though I suspect some people might not be all for that idea."[/div][/div][/div]

Branch turned his gaze on the winged individual, swallowing hard as he held his hand to the wound on his leg. He blew out a shaky breath, looking at Remy. "I-I'm Branch," he responded softly, looking at the werewolf before looking at Remy. He nodded slightly, "y-yeah, I can walk." Branch looked at the others approaching and scooted back more, flinching slightly at Ayla's words, though he quickly learned they weren't targeted at him. He looked at Remy, shaking his head, "h-hes one of us....he wouldn't hurt us..." he said timidly before falling quiet. Could they trust this guy? Hell, could they trust each other? Who knows if anyone is an enemy here.

Branch looked up at Ash, the vampire who had moved in front of him. "Woah..." Branch bit his lip, a light blush growing on his cheeks as he listened to him speak. "I-I can walk, it's okay," the boy said softly, reaching up and taking Ash's hand, He stood with the mans help, wincing as he put pressure on his leg and he leaned into the other male. Breathing out a slow breath, Branch hesitantly put his hand on Ash's shoulder and used Ash to help him stand up straight. "Th-thanks..." he said softly, the blush growing before he turned his transparent form to hide the color on his cheeks. He averted his gaze, wrapping his arms around himself. Attractive men had always been Branch's weakness...

Looking at the werewolf and the winged man once more, Branch had found the Nephilim stating some very important points. He bit his lip and looked between them all, turning his gaze on the fiery redheaded woman in the car. He nodded slightly in agreement, "lets just...get out of here, please? W-were...we're not far from the facility. We need to get out of sight. You two can argue later..." Branch said softly, glancing at them all before looking at Ash once more. He looked down and limped over to the vehicle, glancing at everyone. "I...uhm. I can stay transparent, so I'm not taking up any room..." the boy said softly, climbing into the vehicle. He sat in the floorboard, knowing it was the best place for a ghost, like him to sit, so he wouldn't sit anywhere near people and make them cold.

AYLA HEBERT
"I am prepared to stay and fight," she warned. Although the winged individual had made a valid point, Ayla wasn't happy about it. She gave those icy blue eyes one last, heated glance before her attention was quickly drawn to the road where Ash, a guy she had vaguely remembered pushing past in the car, was helping a mangled, bloody mess of a person stand. She could just make out a face full of freckles and vivid green eyes before he almost seemed to disappear into thin air.
The young shapeshifter watched skeptically as the ghost limped over to the open car door. No one voiced any dissent. She eyed him as he settled onto the floor of the car before turning transparent once more, leaving enough room for her to get in.
With a huff she hauled herself into the car, squeezing past the other occupants and being careful not to step on a ghostly arm or leg. She took her place in the backseat in silence, averting her eyes when anyone tried to meet her gaze, instead focusing on the dozens of trees that line the side of the road.
The promise of asylum seemed like a good one, most likely too good to be true. Despite the fact that everyone else seemed convinced and more than happy to travel with their new "friend", Ayla couldn't shake the feeling that something awful was bound to happen. She would keep her mouth shut for now, though, as long as she wasn't stuck sitting next to Remi for the duration of the trip.

Ash smiled and wrapped an arm around Branch's torso. He seemed uncomfortable in a way but Ash didn't dwell on it. He said he was fine so that was what he wanted him to think. Branch seemed sweet and Ash didn't want to question his supernatural self. They could easily be friends and he wanted them to start with a level foundation. Ash wondered what music he listened to, probably something unexpected. Branch gives off this vibe of difference and abstraction.

"Don't worry," he stated, "You can sit between me and the door. I'm Ash by the way." He began to direct Branch to the vehicle. "Sorry the werewolf hit you by the way, probably not the best first impression of us." He gave a kind and genuine grin. He hoped this time would help lessen the ghost's anxieties.
