Hi! I've been told that I should post a thread here to introduce myself to y'all, so here it is! I'm spooderman, but you can all call me Spoods if you wanna be a whee bit less cringy. I'm 17 years old, and have been roleplaying for almost 2 years now, though I've never been on this particular site. I'm here to write, create and (hopefully) make some friends with similar interests to my own.

I'm a massive fan of superheroes. I adore all things DC (except some of their writers' choices recently let me tell you) whether it be comics, cartoons or an idea of what their Extended Universe could become with time and better business choices. On the Marvel side of things, though, I'm a bit less knowledgeable. Though I love the MCU, I've really only read a few select titles of theirs and I'm not fully adept with all of their history and lore.

I also love Sci-Fi! I'm happy to talk Star Wars, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica or any other star related title. Also, Doctor Who should go without saying, as should Rick & Morty.

A few other misc loves of mine are: Harry Potter, Camp Camp, B99, Parks and Rec, HIMYM, ok any Sitcom ever except for Friends, PJO, Hamilton, Buzzfeed Unsolved and Ruining History. If any of you are fans of any of these things and are prepared for violent ranting about every small flaw and fanatic praising of everything else, then hit me up.

I'll probably be most active on the fandom side of role play, but I'll still definitely check out original ones every now and then. I'm very happy to be here, and I look forward to talking with all of you!

Hey Spoods! Welcome welcome welcome~ Now I have to ask since it's out there.... what's your favorite DC comic? And as far as Sci-Fi, have you by any chance ever gotten into the Dune series?

I think that's all I have cooked up for my little interrogation~ Waiting patiently to judge you based on your responses. lol

Thank you very much! As for the ‘interrogation’:

My favourite DC comic is the 1998 Young Justice. It’s childish in the beginning, sure, but the characters are all incredible and so iconic, and the storyline grows darker and more important as time goes on while keeping the lighthearted feel they have going. Also, I’ve always appreciated a bit of meta humour.

I’ve read the first half of the first Dune book, as I have a friend who’s fanatic about it. It was interesting with a good set up and strong writing, I remember, but I was distracted and never ended up finishing it. I’ve been planning to for while. Sorry bout that; feel free to judge lol

jdsfhuisdhuifuih Ahhhhh, Young Justice so good. Did you enjoy the Cartoon Network series at all? I remember being super into that. I think Flash is my favorite of the group haha.

LOL. It was the same for me. I think the writing is pretty good and it's so different and interesting but somewhere along the line something happened to pull me away from it and I never finished but I let my friends borrow it. (Unfortunately, after the author passed away I believe the son took over and it was never the same after that. Sad times.)

Yes omg I loved that show! It was actually what got me into DC in the first place, so there are some pretty good memories there. Are you aware that there's gonna be a season three released later this year?

Myeah it was a great book but didn't do much for keeping your attention. It sucks about the author though; I would have been so upset if I were part of the fan base. And yess I'm a pretty cool dude my aspirations in life are complete lmao

SEASON 3?!?!??!?! REEEEEEEEEEEE. I hadn't heard that yet oh my god. It was like pulling teeth to get a 2nd season. YAYAYAYA!

I've read LOTR and the Hobbit, because how could anyone calling themself a lover of books have not? The movies, too, were great. Even the Hobbit ones. I've never read anything else from Middle Earth, though.

As for super science friends, I'd never heard of it before but I just checked it out and god if it doesn't look right down my alley. So thanks for that, too!
