Prophecy of End

"The people who were chasing you... they were.. kind of bounty hunters." Hiro started. He took a few bites of his food before thinking how exactly to proceed. Chemi finally sat down as well, cuddling up to Chengo. It was still rather cold and she loved his warmth.


"Fredrick and Garth. The Vampire and Drider.... they are mostly evil and are wanted as well. Though... not as much as you are. You are by far the most wanted person in the world." Hiro continued.


"But you are wanted for a good thing!" Chemi told him, almost in a reassuring manor. Hiro was hesitating now, like he was not sure how to say the next part.

Cross put his head down again, remaining silent for a little while.


"Gigi told me that the only people who are wanted are those who have down bad things. How can I be wanted? I haven't left that mountaintop once in my entire life . . ."


He had cursed that fact once, reviled it. He wanted to go and see elsewhere, see what else was in the world. Now? Now he would give anything to go back and remain on that mountaintop as long as he lived.

"It's not that you have done bad things... it is just people think you were born to do bad things." Hiro tried to explain. He didn't want to lay it flat for Cross... in fear that he might withdraw or even worse, try and kill himself. "But, we don't believe you did that."


"That's right! We believe you are going to be doing great things!" Chemi told Cross.

Cross turned his head sideways so that he was looking at Hiro


"Why do they think I was born to do bad things? How do they even know I was born? I already told you I haven't left that mountain . . ."
