Scarlet Company
A freelance trading company that employs a diverse cast. Founded by Lord Marlowe Scott after the conclusion of the Seven Years War to create jobs for his men, most of whom had little work at the time. Initially, the Company had started out as a fur-trading company in Canada, but had proven themselves to be unfamiliar with the mercantile etiquette there. When Lord Scott had taken up residence at Red Meadow Mansion in Pennsylvania, the company would turn to lend its land for profitable crops and plantation partnerships - one of which includes the illustrious Mistress of New Essen, Charlotte von Hohenzollern. The company's range of work eventually grew, including, but are not limited to: short-term indentured servitude, market surveys, plantation investments, security details, and intelligence gathering.

    General Thomas Gage
    British Officer, 45

A veteran of the French & Indian War, serving alongside George Washington under General Braddock initially, Gage had his fair share of war and administrative duties thus far in life. Gage was later acquainted with Scott after the Battle of Carillon in 1758, forming an unlikely camaraderie with General James Wolfe as their bridge. However, he did not distinguish himself entirely during the war, as opposed to his counterpart - George Washington, of whom would later become his rival.
After the war, Gage was made the Governor of Montreal, and was well respected as a competent administrator there by its inhabitants. Perceived as a gentleman officer and a benevolent figure. He had recently taken up the role of Commander-in-Chief of the British Army in North America after General Amherst left for Britain. He is now residing in New York, overseeing military operations to put down Pontiac's uprising on the frontier. Gage had recently commissioned Scott, now headmaster of his private Scarlet Company, to engage in diplomatic resolution with the Iroquois, in hopes of quelling the uprising via diplomacy.
