It was the year 2053 when a crew of astronauts discovered life in the vacuum of space during an expedition near the dwarf planet Pluto, 'aliens' we call them. These extra-terrestrial beings were no thin green creatures with gigantic heads and bulging black eyes that try to kidnap humans to experiment with, instead, they took an almost human like form(there are still obvious differences,of course), they were beings of order and peace, atleast that's what we all thought in the beginning.
The more we interact with them, the more we were able to learn from them. They were light years before us in agriculture, economics and technology; more important, their bio-weapons were out of this world(pun intended). However, their planet was dying just like ours, but much, much faster. We then saw something in their eyes — the hunger to conquer, they wanted our planet, because Earth shared many similarities to their own planet. Us humans are greedy animals, we didn't like sharing, so we forced them to get off our planet.
With the fear of the aliens returning, our government began a secret project — Project Super. The formula for a serum that could grant you incredible abilities, becoming a superhero was no longer impossible. The government selected eight candidates from the military forces to undergo the experiment, four male and four female, who all possessed natural skills of their own, whether it was strength or speed or flexibility. The experiments went smoothly and each candidate was granted superpowers they could only dream of before.
The Great War did not happen as soon as the government had predicted, instead, the aliens were only seen again 10 years later. Within these 10 years, The Super Eight gained the public's liking, recruiting young, energetic soldiers were no longer a problem as most of them grew up admiring The Supers. Man power alone was not enough and The Supers were only able to realized that when it was much too late, they watched as a whole city full of civilians and soldiers evaporated into thin air in mere seconds of the alien aircraft's appearance. One city to another, one country to the next, by the end of the war, humans surrendered with only five cities intact — Seattle in America, Osaka in Japan, Shanghai in China, Saint Petersburg in Russia and Plymouth in the United Kingdom.
The aliens, being quite aware of the existence of The Supers, forced the government to hand them over. No amount of negotiation can't change the aliens' minds, The Supers were soon captured and taken away to be locked up in a escape proof prison all the way up in space, where they will spend the rest of the days living with torture and misery. Months after months, and there were no signs of help coming their way, but they understood why, the entire world was under the control of the Alien species. Since no one was able to help them, they can only help themselves; and once they get out, they'll surely unite the humankind and take these bastard aliens out one by one.
There will only be eight slots for The Supers, however one can choose the role of an alien: perhaps helping the humankind, perhaps playing the villain role.
Each Project Super member will only possess one superpower, and as mentioned in the story, they'll possess natural human skills as well.
The appearance of an alien is much similar to a normal person, except they do not have ears, they're much taller and they have a rather blue-ish skin tone.
Romance is allowed, the aliens don't like it, but it's allowed.
The main goal in the beginning will be escaping the Space Prison, and then the story progress from that point onward.
