Fantasy Project God Killer

Though everyone was giving their best attempts to protect the adepts fleeing, it was to no avail. Even if some troops made it to the escape shuttles in time, they would be massacred before they could all put in their identification and get the hell out of here. Only a select couple were able to make it, an older crew, and two younger crews. Everyone else was either dead or still attempting to flee still.

As Siren gently let Naoki’s head rest, he stood up and turned to see Fen arriving. Listening intently to her instructions, he didn’t say much in return. Although the look of pure anger and hatred in his eyes was more than enough. Reacting just in time to catch and hold Fen up, he stabilized her until she was ready to stand on her own. “We need to find Cedric and get the hell out of here. There’s nothing more that we can do. More and more heat sources are dropping like flies. We’re some of the very few left in this compound.” With how vital their crew was to the project, they couldn’t afford to lose another member.

Just in time, Cedric rounded the corner. As his greeting fell and he questioned what was going on, Sirens faze fell as his fists clenched. His body felt like it was boiling, and his mind was festering in a pit of confusion and rage. How could Ashimov have done this? If he was able to get himself out in time then why didn’t he help the rest of them? “I wish I knew, Ced.” Sirens voice was a hushed whisper. “I wish I knew.” Straightening up, the pyro let out a long and drawn out sigh as flames sparked and crackled from his breath. “Cmon, we don’t have much time.” With that said, he began leading the way and called back to Cedric. “Where’s Eden’s electric source coming from?” Once he got the answer he needed it was a full sprint to their destination. Along the way they ran into countless guards, to which Siren began pelting them all with huge blasts of hellfire over and over again. It was quite the spectacle seeing the purple flames rolling in mass projectiles as they incinerated their targets. It wouldn’t be good for him to keep this going but frankly Siren didn’t care at this point.

Eventually the three arrived to where Eden was. An amassed amount of corpses having been ripped to shreds littered the ground. “Looks like you’ve been keeping yourself busy.” Siren said rather blandly. Looking toward the shuttle bay he turned back to the others and shook his head. “It won’t be a good idea to take the shuttles at this point. They’ll just be able to track us down to where our we were taken and hunt us down from there.” Slinging off his backpack, Siren grabbed one of the few books he had in there. Flipping through the pages and eventually stumbled upon a picture of the Piazza San Marco in Italy. Holding up the picture for Fen to see, Siren have her an earnest look. “Do you think you’ll be able to transport us here?”

Thanks to Siren, her fall wasn't that bad and he even loaned an arm for her to lean against. The woman was still incredibly weak and depending on their next jump, she would probably sleep for a day when they were safe enough. Safe, she laughed internally as she felt a bit of strength return. We'll never be safe. Not anymore... Fen bit back some bitter tears upon remembering Ashimov's cruddy announcement. He could have let them know sooner. The children could have evacuated with the employees quite easily, so what was the problem? Shaking the tears that threatened to fall away, the peach blonde seemed to regain a bit of her strength back when Cedric appeared.

"Cedric," Fen sighed in relief as she stumbled over for a quick hug, "I'm so glad you're okay!" Cedric was as livid confused as the rest of them were, the woman biting her lower lip to keep from expressing an nonsensical emotions. It wouldn't help anyone if she were to completely lose herself then as she had only moments ago, especially when she knew she'd have to teleport their crew at some point. Siren quickly changed the subject, causing Fen's heart to drop. There weren't many people left in the facility according to him. Most were dead and only the hand full that she managed to teleport out could be considered "safe". Even then, she didn't know if the children she got out actually got away...

Following Cedric as he used his ability to track Eden's electrical wave, he and Siren played offense whereas Fen played mostly defense. They'd told her to save whatever juice she had left for an emergency, so she'd stuck with forming an ice barrier to guard their backs. The other two blasted what was in front of them like hysterical ten year old boys.

When they finally reached Eden, Fen noticed a trail of bodies around the older woman and some very realistic hellhounds. They were always a bit scary in her opinion, but she knew they'd never "hurt" her. It was all an illusion... sort of... Eden's powers still confused Fen at times, so she always chose to not think about what could be real and what's not. Regardless of Fen's worries and thoughts, however, she knew Eden was perfectly capable of protecting herself, which was something she was grateful for.

Do you think you’ll be able to transport us here?” Siren had asked, thrusting a book towards Fen's direction. She scrunched her eyes as she quickly scanned the photo, tilting her head with slight hesitance. Her teleporting ability had great limitations to it and seeing a picture wasn't normally enough for her to jump. She usually had to have been to the location at least once or seen it in person from afar. Jumping based on a simple photo was extremely difficult and she'd only ever done it once... and she was alone then. Whether or not she'd be able to teleport there with three others was the real question.

"I-I can try.." Fen stuttered as her breath picked up. Taking a few deep breaths, she forced herself to calm down and began telling everyone to hold hands. Taking the hands of two of her teammates in each of her own, she trusted them to hold onto the other. Her eyes closed as she envisioned the picture, every small detail flipping through her mind like a computer. She even thought to imagine what the possible smells were in hopes of making a more accurate jump until finally...

Silence.

There was no more screaming or gunshots. The air didn't feel as artificial and it was warmer--much, much warmer. Fen slowly opened a single eye in hopes of seeing what she'd imagined, a sigh of relief escaping her body as she tried not to let out a sob. And that was when she realized that instead of four people, there were five.

'Yuma! Yuma! I gotta find Yuma and the others!' Kemeno hurried through the halls of the facility in the commotion and the huge crowd not to mention the hell fire of bullets and whatever the adepts of the facility could throw back. All of it had caused Kemeno to become separated from her friends when she finally was able to push through the crowd she hurried past fallen adepts rushing through the halls on all fours. Each adept she passed her heart skipped a beat as her mind played tricks on her making her stop a few times to make sure they weren't Yuma or Rei or Gonta. Each time she stopped and it wasn't them she felt relief but at the same time was annoyed she had to waste time checking. Turning the corner she spotted a group of the armed men as they cornered an adept Kemeno would've turned and found another way but she caught sight of sparks flying from the adept. Kemeno peered around the corner to see that it was Yuma his back to the wall riddled with holes next to him lay a girl with fire red hair. Kemeno recognized her as Rei she could now see a large man laying against the wall as well a bullet hole through his head no doubt Gonta. Before the men could fire again Kemeno sprinted down the hall leaping onto the back of one of the men. She quickly bit down onto his neck tearing the flesh from his body. The other men turned to fire but she was already leaping toward another grabbing his gun she bit into the metal a bullet bounced off her arm. She wrestled the man whose gun she had taken a bite out of to the ground and began punching the bullets the others fired had no effect on her as she laid into him. When she finshed she turned her eyes full of bloodlust as she pounced onto the others like a predator finishing off its prey.

When it was over she rushed over to Yuma who gave her his usual smile. "Thanks Kemeno I always thought you were pretty strong." He looked to his two fallen friends tears swelled up in his eyes. "I'm sorry I couldn't protect them Kemeno." Kemeno shook her head she opened her mouth but the words didn't come out. Yuma smiled petting Kemeno's head she could feel him growing cold already. "You gotta live Kemeno we'll all be cheering you on so go on and get out of here." Kemeno struggled to get out the words she knew she wanted to say to tell him what she thought. She looked around for something anything some way to tell him. She wiped the blood from her mouth using it to write on the floor. I'll miss you all. Seeing the bloody message Yuma chuckled smiling like he always did and nodded his head. "Yeah I'll miss you too." Kemeno held his hand as she watched the life fade from her best friend she grit her teeth. 'That wasn't it I had so much more. I wanted to tell you how awesome you were how smart Rei was how brave Gonta was. I wanted to tell you all how special you are to me I wanted to tell you three how much I love you!' Kemeno cursed the men who killed her friends cursed the men who killed her parents cursed the fact they were left behind. She even cursed her self for being able to speak a single word.

The tears that ran down her face weren't there for long as she wiped her eyes quickly. She wouldn't ignore Yuma's final request she would escape and live. Turning hurrying Kemeno found a trail of corpses many of which were the armed men following the trail Kemeno figured she'd find someone who could get her out of here. What she found was a group of adepts standing in a circle holding hands she recognized them most importantly she recognized the peach haired girl. Not her name but her ability the reason they held hands Kemeno lurched forward and charged towards the group. She knew this girl could teleport leaping Kemeno grabbed hold of the girl's leg. Suddenly they were no longer in the facility and Kemeno collapsed a mixture of being tired and relief and the grief of losing her second family.

“Please try, I know you can do it.” Siren said with a hopeful and yet sad smile. As the four of them linked hands on the circle, Siren held Cedric and Fen’s hands tight in his own. Shouts could be heard behind them before they were whipped away from the facility. They would be the last ones to make it out.

In an instant, Siren’s surroundings changed and breathed out a heavy sigh of relief as he saw the man standing in the Piazza San Marco. There was quite a few people moving about and touring the plaza, but it didn’t seem like anyone had noticed the groups sudden appearance. Everyone was continuing to bustle about doing their own thing. Children ran around and played with one another, and parents admired the architecture of the plaza. Turning to face the other, Siren saw that everyone had made t okay. But there was a fifth member with them, luckily enough it was a familiar face that he had seen enough of.

He looked down at the crouching Kemeno, eying her suspiciously at first before kneeling down and snapping to get her attention. “Well, I’m glad to see more than just our crew made it out okay. Whatever happened to the rest of your crew? Unless.” He sympathetically patted the girls head with a sad look in his eyes. “You’re the last of your crew then aren’t you? It’s okay, we’re all here for you. Are you injured at all? Anything you need help with?” He asked before looking back at Fen. “Same question for you.” The pyro knew full well of how much strain she had put on herself, and after a feat like what she just pulled he knew she was drained.

Everything had happened so fast. After leading the group to Eden in the facility, Siren asked Fen if she could had enough strength to apparently teleport us to Italy. Cedric started to worry as he could see that Fen was exhausted and barely could stand on her own, let alone take us to a different continent. Being as stubborn as she was though, she agreed to give it a try. We all formed up in a circle and joined hands. Everything watched Fen as she concentrated. Cedric closed his eyes as well as he was just trying to calm down himself. Next thing he knew, it was quiet. No alarms or gunfire, just crowds walking around. Apparently, Fen was successful.

Taking a look around, Cedric was still on guard a bit as he wanted to make sure no one saw what they just did or any local authorities came running at them. It had seemed, however, that luck was on their side and no one had notice them porting in. Cedric looked over to Fen and noticed she was barely standing. Cedric walked over to here and kneeled down, facing his back towards her. Gesturing with his thumb pointed at his back he said, “Climb on, Fen. We can’t have you collapsing here in the street. Take a rest, you have done enough.” With a small smile escaping his mouth to reassure her that it was alright for her to get on. As he waited for her to climb on, he also took notice of the hitch hiker they had apparently picked up as well. Siren was already calming her down though.

Fen looked down at the girl that was holding onto her leg. Her long black hair was a mess and her green eyes looked like she'd lost everything she'd ever known. A feeling of empathy washed over her as the twenty year old bent down to get a clear look of the stranger, realizing it was Kemeno. While Fen didn't speak to everyone at the facility, it was hard for her not to notice the adepts that stood out the most. Knowing others in the program were different like her probably comforted her in a strange way. "I see you've decided to tag along," Fen muttered as she forced a weak smile.

Noticing blood covering the lower part of Kemeno's face, she immediately went to wipe the liquid away with her sleeve. It took away most of the blood, but red still stained the girl's face. That made Fen remember that none of them really looked in top shape and she only prayed no one took notice of their appearance. "Could you make us blend in until we find some shelter?" Fen asked as she turned to Eden, thanking her quietly upon receiving her request.

Siren addressed the girl first and from the look on his face, he probably felt the same sadness Fen did. Her smile faltered slightly as she stood up, her posture seeming to slacken. She took a step back to balance herself as she shut her eyes briefly, hand moving to the side of her head. The fatigue was beginning to hit her hard and she knew it wouldn't look good if she just passed out right then. "I don't feel so goo-" Fen moaned in reply to Siren's question before she was cut off by quick movement. Her free hand reached out and felt a wide, warm back.

"Climb on, Fen. We can’t have you collapsing here in the street. Take a rest, you have done enough.” Cedric had said as he was crouched over, arms pointed back so he could help her on. While she'd normally refuse and go on some kind of banter, but he was almost like an older brother figure to her. She ended up smiling weakly and complying almost immediately. Fen climbed onto Cedric's back and instantly fell asleep after mumbling a quiet "Sorry", her light snoozing only audible to those around her. The woman's light body went limp as her head rested against the back of Cedric's shoulder, the exhaustion from the day finally knocking her out.

Kemeno's eyes darted around at the new location there was so much to take in and she was only just now noticing it all. She let go of Fen's leg getting on all fours she backed away slightly but bowed her head to thank her for wiping some of the blood on her mouth Kemeno licked up the rest with her tongue as if it was just some ketchup on her mouth. Siren's snapping caught her attention her head perking up like a dog being beckoned the look in his eyes put Kemeno on edge a low growl escaped her. Her eyes stung when he mentioned her team bearing her teeth Kemeno prepared to shut him up until he patted her head. Looking at him she couldn't hold back a small whimper her eyes getting misty. She shook her head at his questions she was perfectly fine just a bit tired though it was clear she had been shot at considering the bullet holes in the back of her wrinkled shirt. Yet none on the front of it considering she was able to deflect the bullets that were fired at her.

Kemeno took a bit to look at everyone. 'The nice peach haired girl looks tired must be cause of all the teleporting she did. The guy carrying her seems nice too.' Looking at Siren and Eden she gulped. 'Something about those two feels weird.' She didn't really get it but her years spent in the wild had sharpened her instincts and right now those instincts told these two were two people she'd do well not to challenge. Without out even thinking about it Kemeno grabbed the bottom of her shirt and lifted it to show her stomach to Eden and Siren a sign in the animal kingdom that she understood the unspoken hierarchy.

Nodding his head to the both of them, he stood up before feeling a head rush shoot up through his brain causing him to stumble slightly before catching himself. Taking a deep breath, he looked back at Cedric. “We should find a place to settle down so we can all rest up. It’s been a long morning.” It was quite unthinkable that the crew had all been awake for such a short period of time only to be already this drained and tired. Checking his data pod, Siren looked at the time and saw that it was currently 1:17 In the afternoon here in Italy. Meaning this place was an hour behind wherever it was the facility was located.

Looking around the plaza for a moment, Siren eventually spotted an exit and led the way out of the crowded area. It took some time, and a hell of a lot of stops for Ezro to ask in broken Italian where the nearest hotel was. His data pod had an good translation appliance, but he couldn’t quite get the pronunciation and as good as it was the function still made grammatical errors. Luckily though it was enough to find their way to a small motel. It looked to be in great condition but didn’t seem to have many residents. It would make for the ideal spot to lay low and plan their next move.

Siren had planted their arrival in Italy due to how close it was to the groups first targets. They were dubbed ‘The Romans’ and consisted of an emperor and emperess that ruled over what used to be the majority of the European continent in conjunction with a triplet unoriginally dubbed ‘The Greeks’ (map of their province shown below). Their adopted names were Pluto, the goddess of death. And Mars, the god of war. Pluto being the god of death much like Siren was able to control hellfire except she had mastered her craft. She could also teleport and had the ability to ‘control souls’ which was actually simple mind control. Luckily enough it only worked on non adepts but it allowed for her to command mass armies alongside Mars. Mars’ first ability was that of immeasurable strength, able to lift objects that weighed several tons effortlessly. His second was that of controlling the very earth beneath his feet (think earth bending). Their image will were also displayed in the mission file that could be viewed on all of the adepts data pods (pictures will be in the OOC).

Leading the way inside, Siren approached the front desk and requested to book two rooms on the top floor. One room for the boys and one for the girls, for privacy reasons of course. Once everything was taken care of, the crew made their way upstairs and for the time being settled into one room so that they’d be able to talk for a little while before getting some rest. “Just lay Fen on one of the bed Ced.” Siren said before throwing his bag to the ground and slumping into one of the couch seats. The room was like any basic motel room with two beds, a couch, and a small sectioned off area for a bathroom. Silence filled the space, and the pyro tried to think of something to say or lighten the mood but nothing came to mind. So he kept his mouth shut.

It took a while fun Fen finally agreed to get on Cedric’s back. She fell asleep hard after that and the only thing Cedric could make out was “sorry.” He didn’t mind. She wasn’t that heavy and she needed the rest. He secured her by putting both hands under her thighs and pushing her up some.

Siren was already thinking of the next moved. He looked at Cedric and suggested we look for somewhere to stay. Cedriced nodded in agreement. They ended up making it to a hotel where Siren got two rooms for them. One for the boys and one for the girls. Before entering the boys room, he took Fen into the girls room and laid her down on the bed. He made sure the covers were pulled over her and he brushed some hair from her face. Giving her a smile, he left the room and rejoined Siren in the boys room.

He threw his jacket off as well as his gauntlets and found a chair to rest on. Now that he had calmed down, he realized how tired he was. He looked towards Siren and asked, “Alright, boss. What do you want to do now?”

"You really thought you did well, huh?" A voice echoed. All around Fen was pure darkness. Every direction she turned was as black as an onyx, and it felt like she wasn't moving at all. Her body felt heavy, weak, and defeated.

"Huh?" Fen replied as she took a few steps forwards, turning her head from right to left to see where the voice was coming from. "Who are you? What are you talking about?"

Womanly laughter filled the place as confusion continued to grow. Was she dreaming? It seemed like she was, but it felt too... surreal for it not to be her reality. Who was the girl speaking to her and why did she act like she knew her?

"I bet you were so proud of yourself when they congratulated you for getting them to Italy. Did you really think you got there yourself through a picture of all things? Please, even you know you don't have that much control over your abilities. You're deluded. You've been here before and what a sight that wa-"

Fen's body shot up as if an electric bolt had traveled throughout her body, a loud gasp filling the dimly lit room as her chest heaved continuously. The young woman looked around in a panic as her eyes adjusted to the darkness, scanning the area like a computer. She was hoping to find someone, anyone, in the room with her but there was only silence. Everything felt so fabricated and she wondered if she was still asleep, her dream a mere memory that was soon forgotten. While her body was sweating and shaking, she didn't know why she was in such a state. Normally, she had the same dream with the man and his family but not recalling what occurred during her sleep was a new experience.

Slowly getting off the bed, Fen's feet touched the poorly carpeted floor. She maneuvered her way towards a lamp until it turned on with a pleasing click. Letting out a small sigh, she made her way over to the bathroom in order to clean up. Where ever her companions were, she was sure they'd return soon so the best option at the moment was to clean up instead of going out alone. Maybe they're just in the room next door, Thought the young woman as she stepped under the cold water. It was highly likely that everyone was just next door. Siren was pretty keen on gender boundaries so it wouldn't have been a surprise if they got another room.

As soon as Fen's body loosened up, she ended up sitting on the tiled floor and thinking about what she could’ve possibly dreamed about that her body was rushed with adrenaline. It was strange and a bit disturbing. She even debated on consulting with her teammates since they knew about her past.

"I hope nothing else bad happens anytime soon..." grumbled the peach-haired woman.

“For now, we all are going to rest up. We’ve had a hell of a long morning and it wouldn’t do us any good to stay up longer. We’ll sleep and once we’re all back up we can set to work. We’re some of the last hope for this operation, so we need to preserve ourselves. We can’t afford to lose any more of us.” Pulling up an image of the other escaped adepts, he graphed it up on the well through a projection. “Two of the Africa teams, one of the Oceania teams, and one of the North American teams made it out safely. So we’ll have to hope and pray that they succeed with their missions. Seeing as we are the last expert crew we’ll be taking over the other areas in the world, that way the others can just focus on their single missions due to their inexperience.” Shutting down the data pod, he looked to the rest of the crew. “Project God Killer cannot fail.”

After everything was said and done, everyone went off to bed and slept for quite a while. Siren himself passed out as soon as his head hit the pillow, not having said another word after his explanation of their current situation. As he slept, there was nothing but darkness as usual. Siren had never been one for dreams at all, and rarely did these illusions come into his mind. Although, one thing peculiar that happened is he though he heard Fens voice. But he couldn’t remember anything that she had said. Hours later, Siren slowly rose from his bed and rubbed his eyes. Turning to the electric clock illuminating the room he saw that it was 9:08 in the evening. Time for everyone to get moving.

Giving Cedric more time to rest, Siren crept out of bed and into the bathroom where he showered up, rinsing the dried blood and sweat from his body. Afterward, he stepped out and dried himself off with a quick blast of heated air and left the steamy bathroom to get dressed. Grabbing from the drawer where he had unpacked his things, he dressed in a pair of grey shorts, a black skin tight t-shirt, and once again his converse from before. With that said and done, he shot a message for everyone to head down to the cafe across the street once they were awake and dressed. That being said, Siren set out alone into the night.

The sun was close to fully setting in the sky casting a red glow across it, and yet the city was still as lively as ever. Venice was a beautiful place, and the residents seemed to all be so content and happy with their lives. Odd consider they were ruled by the heathens Pluto and Mars. Pluto was described to be absolutely mad, and she pleasures herself by killing people at random as well as torturing them. Mars is quite the same way, except he prides himself as posing as a gladiator in the revamped collosium. Once again the arena was used for epic battles, of which Mars and his select favorite warriors always always won. Shaking the thoughts from his head, the pyro made his voyage across the street and sat down at one of the larger tables where he ordered a cup of hot chocolate and waited for the others.

Kemeno felt so out of place she understood they had a job to do but that didn't change how she felt. Here she was about to finish some mission that she knew too well her friends wouldn't of been apart of. Yuma had next to no control of his power, Rei was only able to slowly levitate objects, and while Gonta had impressive strength it was nothing to brag about. She was often praised by her friends for being the strongest of them but Kemeno knew why she herself was in their team. Her inability to speak made her a liability to her team. Siren and his team were experts she was nothing more than a stray scared to be alone. As Siren finished explaining Kemeno went off to the room Siren had gotten for the girls the peach girl was awake which was good. 'She seems tired still then again I'm pretty tired myself.'

As if the beds weren't even there Kemeno laid down curling up in a ball by hugging her legs. Despite how uncomfortable she looked Kemeno was already fast asleep. When her friends died she expected to be haunted with nightmares about her inability to save them. Rather she was given dreams that reminded her of happy times with them. Laughing, playing, learning, teaching Kemeno whimpered quietly in her sleep as each memory faded. Each one a precious memory she would hold in her heart every sense and every emotion felt in them tucked away inside her. The taste of Rei's candy the smell of Gonta's shampoo and the cold touch within Yuma's dying grasp. Each memory precious to her.

Beep beep. Beep beep. Someone had sent a message. Fen grumbled as her eyelids fluttered open, immediately glancing at the waterproof watch around her wrist. Siren had sent a text to meet everyone at the cafe across the street.

She sighed deeply.

Without realizing it, Fen had fallen back to sleep and while taking a shower at that. Her skin was absent of any wrinkles from the water, however, thanks to the light layer of ice that was protecting her. Breaking free from her own ability, the woman stood up. A wave of grogginess washed over her and she stumbled a bit, mostly due to her legs being curled up to her chest for the last hour. Legs cramping and body wet with ice cold water, she reached for a towel with a shaky hand and quickly dried herself off.

Once she was completely dried, she wrapped a clean towel around her body and immediately put on her gloves before beginning to blow dry her long locks. Her hair was getting quite long she had noticed--now that she'd taken the time to pamper herself. The tips of her peach waves were half way down her back, curling slightly at the tips. Fen pulled at her hair and made a note to herself that she'd ask Eden to cut it for her later. Since she was a fighter, she preferred her hair a bit shorter. It was usually kept a few inches passed her shoulders but she'd spent so much time training the last couple months that trims passed her mind.

Instead of feeling sad or reminiscing about the life she, or any of her companions, could never return to, Fen let her hair follow gravity and made her way out. Now where did they put my bag? Thought the young woman as she began searching the dimly lit room. Walking to the bed she slept on, the one closes to the window, she peered across it and saw her bag lying in the corner. Smiling, she walked over to it but nearly tripped in the process. Fen let out a quiet squeak when her foot touched something warm and soft, letting out a sigh of relief when she realized it was Kemeno.

"Kemeno," Fen said softly as she bent down to nudge the girl. "Wake up. Siren wants us to meet at the cafe across the street." When the younger girl was finally awake, Fen offered her a condoling before reaching for her belongings. Setting the black backpack on the bed, she dug through it and pulled out a fresh set of clothes. In no time, she was dressed in a short-sleeved and mid thigh-length denim dress, a white t-shirt, and some simple white sneakers. Under her dress, however, were some latex shorts just in case. It was one of the only outfits that helped her blend in with society. She even configured her gloves so they were practically invisible to the naked eye.

"Do you know where Eden is?" Fen asked Kemeno before quickly changing the subject. "Oh! Did you... um... have time to grab your things? If not, you can look through my bag since we're about the same size." Fen didn't really see if Kemeno had her own bag or not because she'd practically passed out as soon as she processed who the girl was. A lot of her outfits were specifically catered to her strange abilities, but she did have a few items like the one she was wearing that Kemeno could try on. They could always go shopping later even if there was nothing.

Telling Kemeno she'd see her down stairs, she made her way down in elevator and through the lobby outside. Cafe... cafe... Fen thought to herself as she tried to peer through the endless crowd. When she finally saw what Siren was talking about, she smiled and quickly made her way over. For a few seconds, she scanned the interior for Siren himself until she spotted his familiar mop of blonde hair. Calling his name, the young woman waved at him before heading his way.

"I just woke up," Fen laughed as she told the server her order. She got a iced matcha latte with a touch of ginger in it. It was sweet yet refreshing enough to give her energy for the remainder of the day. "How long did I even sleep?" It was then that another familiar face walked in and Fen couldn't help but smile again and wave them over.

As Siren calmly sipped at his hot beverage, he eyed the passing people looking for the familiar faces of his team. Eventually, he saw a familiar tuft of peach blonde hair weaving through the crowd and eventually arriving at the cafe. Once she was in view, Siren waved his arm until she finally spotted him and sat down next to him at the table. Chuckling he gave her a look that read ‘you don’t say’ as he spoke, “really? I would never have guessed it, considering I can still see the sleep in your eyes.” It felt good to simply sit down and talk once again instead of their constant battling that they had delay with earlier. Teasing was one way Siren could lighten the mood, or majority piss someone off. It could go either way, but considering he got a good feeling Fen enjoyed being around him he would have to worry about annoying her... too much.

“We all slept for a little longer than six hours, seems we were all just as tired as I had assumed. But it’s for the best, now that we’re out on our own we need all the sleep we can get.” Siren thought about adding considering we’ll be on the run for our lives from here on out, but he thought it best to keep the mood positive. As he saw another familiar face approach, he recognized it to be Eden. Standing up, he quickly walked up and exchanged some words with her before typing something on his data pod. With that exchange finished, Eden didn’t join them and instead left. Sitting down, he already knew Fen would be questioning what was going on. “Eden has to take care of getting some information for us before we can begin our attack. Seeing as she’s the best strategist she’ll be traveling to Rome to formulate a plan. Hopefully everything goes well, but I’m sure she can handle herself just fine.”

Looking intently across the table at the peach blonde, Siren almost seemed to be analyzing the girl like she was some sort of lab specimen. “Are you doing okay Fen? You look like something’s bugging you just a little bit?” While he could very well be jumping to conclusions, Siren thought it best to always ask as opposed to ignoring it and being wrong in doing so. It was unlike him to be so caring but seeing as they needed to look out for one another he needed to step up his game and stop acting so childish.

Awaken from her sleep by Fen Kemeno looked up at her with sleepy eyes. Sniffing herself she found her shirt smelled fine. Just as she was about to turn down the offer she felt a chill on her back and turned to try and see her back the best she could seeing holes left from bullets. Sighing Kemeno took the shirt off and went though Fen's bag a few seconds was all it took to make Kemeno wish she had packed her own clothes. Fen's style was so.....girly. Personally Kemeno had never understood clothes to begin with in the wild if she was cold she just killed something warm and cuddled with it. She never needed protection from sharp rocks on the ground that might cut her feet since she could just eat a rock and nothing in the forest could hurt her. Yet everyone insisted she wear clothes it was also apparently weird how little shame Kemeno had for her own naked body of the naked body of others. Picking out the simplest outfit she could find Kemeno put on a similar white t, along with black pants yet she didn't put shoes on. Which for Kemeno was normal shoes made it harder to run on all fours which was the fastest way Kemeno got around. She followed Fen out of the room crawling for a sec then remembered they would do best not to stand out so she started to walk normal. Stumbling once or twice since she didn't walk on two feet much making the whole thing kinda hard.

Listening in on Siren and Fen's talk Kemeno felt herself relax a little knowing Eden wasn't around she was still a bit tense around Siren but she coukd handle him better since she had actually interacted with him. Unlike Eden who she knew nothing about for a moment Kemeno wondered how long they would let her stay with them. If it was a while she should probably introduce herself she waved her arms in front of her a bit to try and get their attention. Then pointed to herself before tracing her name on the table. 'K-E-M-E-N-O, that's funny how long has it been since I had to write my own name.' Yuma always handled introductions with Kemeno considering how much of a hassle it was for her. After tracing her name she looked at Siren and Fen and gave them a thumbs up then pointed to them both and held her hands over her heart to show she thought of them as friends now.

Fen laughed quietly too herself when she listened to Siren's reply, knowing most people probably wouldn't take his words as lightly as she. The man had an intimidating aura and sometimes his tone came off colder than he really meant. It was something she had to get used to when she first arrived, which many people found surprising. It really didn't take long for her to feel comfortable around him, but that comfort was most likely due to her desperation for acceptance. He didn't seem to care about her background and that was all she really needed to feel safe.

Although she had waved Eden over, the older woman didn't come to sit with them. Siren had gotten up and exchanged words with their comrade and she had disappeared as quickly as she'd arrived. Fen's light eyes flickered with curiosity as she observed the exchange, but she decided it was better to not ask and sip her drink. She learned a long time ago not to butt into either of their affairs, however, Siren was quick to catch her curiosity and explained the situation for her. "Oh," Fen answered lightly, nodding her head in understanding, "I see. That makes sense."

Kemeno was the next person to appear and like she did with Eden, the woman stood up and waved the younger female over. Siren had asked her if she was okay, but Fen skillfully dodged answering by giving their new friend her attention. She smiled at the outfit Kemeno wore, knowing very well that it probably wasn't to her taste but it at least fit her properly. Watching the girl try to communicate with them, Fen nodded enthusiastically as if she understood the girl completely. "You're our friend now too, Kemeno." Fen laughed lightly as she sat her drink down. Turning to Siren, she rested her elbows against the table with her chin on her hands. "Now we just need to wait on Cedric."

Siren nodded his head solemnly, “I don’t like having us split up any more than you do. Especially after losing everyone like that. But if we want to complete our mission we have to stick to the plan. Eden is more than capable of handling herself, and she’ll return to us in no time.” Though Siren said that, he still felt a knot in his stomach about the whole plan that they had. Feeling as if the whole thing was set for failure, seeing as they’d already lost so many adepts in such a short time. If they were to fall as well, then the plan would collapse and the world still left in shambles.

Doing his best to ignore the pessimistic thoughts playing in his head, Siren turned his attention back to the two girls as he continued sipping his hot chocolate. Although Fen hadn’t dodged his question, the pyro found it best not to pry. There could be a great many thing going through her head, and none of it pretty. If it’s was anything like his own, it was best to leave untouched for now. Chuckling, he gave Kemeno a soft smile. “Indeed you are, and we’re here for you no matter what now.”

Cedric... Siren looked back toward the building. Something didn’t feel right and he couldn’t put his finger on it. Deciding it best to check up on him, Siren pulled out his data pod and attempted to type up a message to Ced only to see a error code User Not Available. “What the hell?” He muttered out loud. Looking back toward the building, he felt his stomach drop. There was a large and rising heat signature beginning to form on the inside. It wasn’t human, and it definitely wasn’t just the heating unit in the building. There was something dangerous in there. Suddenly, a loud roar echoed around the plaza. “We need to move, Now!”
