Fandom Project Freelancer: Through The Ranks

Arizona

Location: >>> Firekill IV

Interacting with: Nevada, New York, Virginia & Wyoming (@VirtualNotoriety & @Dr Dovahkiin Church)

Arizona removed two of the five grenades attached on her belt, thumbing the safety rings, but not quite removing them yet, waiting for New York's signal. Upsilon busied it self as it connected the other agents to Command, humming as it tried to work around the systems without making contact with any of its siblings.

As they approached the hangar, Arizona held the grenades behind her back, ready for the signal while Upsilon removed the lock on her pistol so she could easily remove it.
Upsilon, once we take care of guards, I want you to immediately run the enhancement because I'll be slipping to the bridge to disable their systems so I want you to be ready for that too. Communications, weapons... Everything aside from the nuclear weapons. We'll save that for later

Her head tilted to the side as her eyebrows furrowed, confused by New York and Nevada's comments about Georgia..
"Wait, what happened to Georgia?"

Yorky-

"Georgia is still alive, he's just drifting! We'll get him in a few days." When he heard Arizona's question, he called," You do not want to know. Oh, FIRE!!" H said as they approached the field.

Thats the issue with multi person missions, the moment people go inactive, then the whole mission is on hold.

((Let's see if I've still got it...))

Colorado walked into the locker room, rummaging through his newly claimed locker, organizing his things.

((Open))

Hawaii woke up and Omicron logged on. The AI told her about the schedule and that a 3rd person never joined the mission as planned. She put on her armor and went into the locker room and checked her locker, she didn't want anything stolen. Newmex seemed like that kind of guy that would steal your stuff when you don't look.

@Quillicious

Colorado kept murmuring to himself, seeming to have a conversation. Pi appeared, his floating image a relaxing sky blue.

'Colorado, engaging in coversation with Quill is not advisable around others. I would also recommend you make verbal contact with your teammates.'

"Huh?" Pi had pulled Colorado out of thought. "Oh, right."

He walked over to Hawaii and held his hand out.

"Hi, I'm Colorado. I'm new here, if you couldn't tell."

Location-Secret Military Instillation-Outer Colonies

The stolen Freelancer pelican entered the outer atmosphere of a largely barren world. Colonization efforts of the rock had been abandoned due to the increasing Insurrectionist threats, and had since been completely abandoned, until recently anyway. Pulling his helmet on, Alaska turned his head slightly to see the communication relay on the panel flaring slightly. Opening the channel, Alaska turned his head back to the brown world below as it began to grow larger. "This is Alaska, identification code Zeta-992, requesting permission to land." After a few moments, a heavily static voice answers back. "Permission granted Alaska, clearance to dock in the main hangar, the commander will be waiting."

Closing the channel, Alaska let out a deep sigh. Appearing in a flash next to him, Eta glances out the windows of the pelican as flames start to touch the edge of the ship, the heat of entry showing itself. "Alaska, we are making the right choice, the project needs to be stopped." Disappearing as abruptly as he appeared, Eta began running system checks. Grunting, Alaska began lifting the nose of the pelican, as the last of the burning trails dissipated.

The world, barren of life and name, was mostly brown rock and dirt, the first stages of transforming long since forgotten. Flying the pelican through a canyon, Alaska smiled as he saw the only structure on the planet come into sight. Set into the side of the cliff face, the old colonizer base looked abandoned. The few windows dotting along the cliff face were the only indication it was different from the rock around it, and as he approached, a section of the wall began shifting, before retracting altogether into the wall. Flying the pelican into the dimly lit hangar within, Alaska quickly lowered the landing gear, and touched the ship down.

Taking a deep breath, Alaska let it out as he grabbed the battle rifle sitting next to him in the cockpit. Walking down into the troop bay of the pelican, he stopped at the door, flexing his fingers along his rifle. He needed to make a good first impression. Hitting the activation stud on the wall, the ramp began to lower, and the first thing Alaska saw was dozens of rifle barrels aimed directly at him. The soldiers, all wearing muted red combat armor, stared coolly at Alaska, while a man wearing a officers uniform stood among them. His pure black uniform stood at contrast with his soldiers, and Alaska nodded to him as he walked down the ramp.

Saluting the man, Alaska turned to glance at the rifle still aimed at him, before speaking. "I thought I was here to help you, commander." The commander, several inches shorter then Alaska's armored height, smiled as he waved to his men, ordering their rifles down.

"You are indeed here to help, Alaska, but first, we must talk specifics..."

'How clueless can humans be, or he's just ignoring the fact that I'm the only alien on this team. Both of these are very disrespectful.'

She moved his hand down as she turned around. "Hey, I'm Hawaii. I don't do introductions. Ever." She chuckled.

'Oh dear.'

Colorado tilted his head.

"But you just..."

'It might not be the best time for that, Colorado.'

"I'm Colorado, obviously. Pi's my AI. You'll meet the other one soon enough. I, uh..." He struggled to think of something to say to clear things up.

Thats a church question, I was just saying that the my characters break out would still be having a few lasting effects on the ship.

Location-Secret Military Instillation-Outer Colonies

Walking down one of the many corridors of the colony base, Alaska quickly read over the bases tactical load out and crew compliment. Despite being a simple colonizer base, it was also a outer colony location, and as such, it had been stocked with weapons meant for future colonists to defend themselves with if needed. Now claimed by Alaska's new allies, they were being put to use. And with what they were planning, they would need every bit of it and more to hope to succeed, let alone survive.

Coming around the corner of the hallway, Alaska was confronted by two of the guards he had seen earlier. Their red armor, similar to that of regular military armor, also had a black sigil engraved on their left shoulder guard, a emblem Alaska now too donned. Nodding to them, he passed the door they were guarding and entered a stairwell, quickly climbing the steps to one of the other of many floors within the compound. Climbing to the main living quarters level, he turned down a side passage towards private housing and headed towards his own room. Entering the room, he took his helmet off and placed it next to him on the bed. Looking across the room, Alaska stared coldly at the only decoration in the room, and white flag bearing the symbol of his new organization, simply called Legacy.

Colorado was absentmindedly checking the computer system remotely after the 'disruption'. He skimmed through the cameras until he had located all Agents, except those who were on a mission...and Alaska. With a quick check, he figured out Alaska wasn't assigned to a mission, yet he was nowhere to be seen on the Mother of Invention.

"Pi, run the tape prior to the time the Pelican was stolen."

As he looked closely, there was barely a moment of static before the camera in one part of the ship continued to work. Later, the Pelican was stolen and maglocks were activated, according to some crew members in the hangar at the time. They said they hadn't caught a good glance at the assailant. The Mother of Invention's propulsion was fried, so nobody wanted to be followed.

But Colorado was good at finding loopholes. It took a great deal of digging, but he finally found the missing Pelican from it's last transmission.

"Bingo."

He almost went to the public Freelancer comms channel, but hesitated at the last second. He wondered what Alaska was doing, and curiosity overwhelmed loyalty.

Colorado opened a secure, private channel with Alaska's helmet, from the telemetry from his AI processing the permission to land transmission. He was only known as 'C' on the channel.

"Alaska? Do you read me?"

Sitting quietly in his room, Alaska jumps slightly when Eta appears in front of him without warning. Cursing quietly, he turns and puts his feet on the ground, grunting as Eta waits silently. "Well, Eta, what is it?"

"You are receiving a transmission from the Mother of Invention. A new agent is asking for you specifically." Looking up at Eta confused, Alaska shakes his head. "If he was smart, he wouldn't risk a open comm like this. Send him a reply in a data burst, make sure only his AI can read it.

Nodding his head, Eta vanishes, leaving Alaska once more in the quite. Turning, he stands up and moves over to the desk in the small room. Looking at his armor spread out across its surface, Alaska began to put it back on. He needed to get ready.

AGENT DELAWARE

"Sixty one...sixty two...sixty three..."

"Achilles, I've told you before, I can count for myself," Delaware grumbled, as he lowered himself on one arm into another pushup.

"I am merely improving our counting efficiency, Agent Delaware," Achilles responded, his small holographic form standing on Delaware's back.

"Well don't," Delaware snapped back, as he raised himself back up and switched to the other arm. Achilles promptly shut up. Delaware banged out a few more one-armed pushups, before getting up and going to wash up in his room's shower. Leaving the shower, Delaware donned his combat skin and left his room, wandering the halls of the Mother of Invention.
