Fandom Project Freelancer: Through The Ranks

"Hawaii, and I see you're not half bad. So far, I see that I have the best AI..." She paused for a minute. "I like being me. Hey, where are they going?" 'From what I see, mess hall.' Hawaii followed Nevada tapping Utah on the shoulder.

Newmex looked at Utah. "I thought my AI was the most offensive. Guess I'm wrong."

As the Four entered the Mess Hall N.Y. rushed to the Burrito Booth making his Burrito, as Nathaniel followed suit making a Beef and Cheese Burrito. "Hey, N.Y. what's in your Burrito?" He asked as he began filling the Burrito with Cheese as he sat down biting into it he noticed the Other Agent. "Hey Xi, who's that over there?" HE asked Xi as Xi appeared. "Agent Virginia. So how's the Burrito? need more cheese?" Xi asked to Nathaniel's amusement. "Nah. It's quite Good already. It doesn't need more cheese" Nathaniel said as he finished eating the Burrito, He walked towards Sarah as he sat next to her. "So. Agent Virginia right? It's nice to meet you" Nathaniel said as an A.I. appeared. "Greetings. I'm Psi the Curiosity A.I. it's nice to meet you" Psi said as Xi looked at Psi. "It's nice to meet you" Xi said as they tried shaking hands, as Sarah stood up and passed her bowl of cereal ignoring Nathaniel.

Hawaii went over to where Virginia and Nevada were. Omnicron went out. "Virginia, Nevada, AIs are Psi and Xi respectively." He disappeared. 'Don't go out loud next time!' 'Noted'

"
Hey guys, what's up." She wondered if anyone would like or hate her, she was the only alien here.

Yorky-

"Ah bean and cheese. I have that too, plus steak," Yorky said, taking off his helmet. "Hey Phi, come out, there are some new people!"

Phi appeared on the table, writing on a holographic piece of paper.

Looking rather lost and hopeless, Arizona could only stare after the agents as they all walked to the burrito section.
What the hell are burritos? Upsilon flickered beside her head, appearing in its wisp form. It's a type of food from planet Earth, specifically from Mexico. You wrap a flour tortilla into a cylindrical shape to enclose the filling which is usually meat, cheese, vegetables and such. I would have thought you'd have had them before.

I lived off of MREs even before I enlisted. I barely had the luxury of fresh food. Arizona retorted as she approached the food bar, staring rather forlornly at the selection. She picked up a tray and immediately helped herself to some of the food she recognised, pointing out to Upsilon where she had them as she did so. I had these green stuff in Isis. My superiors used to scare rookies with them, but they actually taste amazing despite the awful scent and appearance. I'm sure. And on and on she went until she had enough on her tray. Upsilon, on the other hand, soaked up the information, taking note of all the food she didn't recognise as well and stored that information for later.

Looking around the mess hall, trying to see if there was an available table, Arizona wavered in her step, not knowing who she should sit with. For Upsilon's sake, instead, she walked off to one of the empty tables near the cluster of agents, still within hearing range, but enough that Upsilon won't fidget. The sudden burst of gratitude from the fragment made the whole thing worth it as she set her tray and datapad on the table.

Newmex, having no response from the other agent, went to the mess hall. Lambda informed him that burritos were being served and being mexican he had no choice but to go there. He picked out his favorite things and sat next to the others, noticing the white armored alien he saw before. "Hey guys, what you guys get? I got my own recipe for these things and they didn't have the perfect jalapenos for this, they need those! Anyway what's with the alien?"

'Agent New Mexico and his AI Lambda seem to be another good match for AI to agent relationship. Both of them like jokes and both like to be a little racist. As far as I've seen, we're perfect.' 'Thank you.'

"You forget that the project isn't racist. Why are some humans complete idiots?"

Newmex was surprised to hear the alien's voice as female. He just grunted and took off his helmet ready to eat.

Yorky-

As soon as everybody who was going to sit down had sat down, Yorky asked, "Okay, what's the plan? We've got a ship to take down, and I prepped a bit so you could check it out. Downloaded the map. Wyern?" He said, and Wyern pushed a holo-projector onto the center of the table. A holomap of the ship sprang up. "We have five people, five palm trees, so what we gonna do, dollies?"

(I know. It's just quite a few of us are online and just watching the main page and viewing people's profiles. So it's not like they are very busy…)

(That last one was just Yorky, I just used Wyern to push something. When I do actually RP as him, I do this:

Hawaii still stood there. "So, am I included or not? I haven't had any action since the battles on my planet."

Lambda went out as HoloJuan on Newmex's permission. "
So what about us?"

Arizona had barely begun eating when she heard New York ask a question about the mission, fork halfway to her mouth as she paused in thought, staring at the holo-projection blankly. Upsilon flickered into view in front of her, brighter than usual.

Firekill IV should have some nuclear weapons we can make use of, yes? By we, you mean Agent Virginia, then yes. Timed explosives or detonation? Manual detonation would be better. Timed explosives can malfunction. She set down her fork as she clasped her fingers together underneath her chin.

Arizona tilted her head to the side slightly.
It should be easy then. Observe. Infiltrate. Set up explosives. Exit. Detonate. Upsilon shifted; she could feel it tilting its head as it thought over the bare skeleton of the idea. Detonate as you exit.

Would it be wise to have someone take care of the officials in the ship? That would be too unpredictable. It would take some time to hunt them down in the ship, unless you send two agents which means cutting down the people who can set up the explosives thus you'd need more time and we always have too little of those. Arizona snorted at the prompt delivery of criticism. You could have just said no. That wouldn't have been fun.

Leaning forward, Arizona chimed from her spot, turning her gaze so she would be staring directly at the agents on the table next to hers,
"I think our best bet would be making use of Agent Virginia's expertise in explosives." She glanced at the agent in question then towards the holo-projector. "We can set up some explosives in strategic areas. Do we know if the ship carries large nuclear weapons? If it does, we can easily make use of those too."

"There's also the question of getting into the ship. I highly doubt they'd just let any Pelican dock in their hangar."
She blinked owlishly at her would-be teammates for the mission before glancing at the Elite, Agent Newmex and Agent Alaska. Were they assigned missions? It didn't seem like it. She'd have thought that the Freelancers would be deployed at the same time, whether or not they'd be working on the same mission or not.

"If we have a bigger team, we might have more time in our hands..." She began, not quite sure where she was going with the idea. "We could have four-five set up the explosives while two or three others take care of any high-ranking Insurrection officials in the ship..."

A huff came from the back of her mind.
You're not really going to let go of that, are you? No. It would be better to deal with them because you never know with those guys. High-ranking officials have access to gadget that are not yet accessible to the public. They could have better teleportation mechanisms than we do for all we know. If you say so.

She folded her right arm neatly in front of her while she pushed her food around with the fork back in hand as she waited for a response.

(God bless my soul. I'm basically bullshiting this.)

Sitting down at the table, Alaska removed the helmet from his head, running his hand through his hair to fix it. Looking down at the burrito, sighed. They didn't have steak today, and that was a major let down. Picking it up and beginning to eat it, Eta popped up next to his head, his shifting purple shades distracting Alaska momentarily.

"We need to get back in the field, I do not like sitting around." Looking up from the burrito, Alaska wiped a small piece from the corner of his mouth. "We haven't even been back one day and you already want to be deployed again? You are a work aholic, Eta." Glancing up, he briefly saw agent Arizona looking at him. Grunting, he finished the rest of his food, before depositing the plate in the cleaning rack. Disappearing in a flash of purple light, Eta briefly shook his head.

Slipping his helmet back on, Alaska walks across the mess hall to where Arizona is sitting, glancing down at her. Looking around the table at the others, he nodded to them, before speaking.

"Eta says you are preparing for a mission, he wants in. Ill be tagging along, naturally."

@Kibitzer @TheOnlyCatbug @Dr Dovahkiin Church

Wyern-

"I can take out the officers," Wyern said in a deep but quiet voice. "That entire ship is cramped hallways. Perfect for me."

Yorky-

"Hey, wait up there, mister. You don't ask to be on a mission; you get assigned to it. Kind of like rabies duty." Yorky shuddered.

(I'm sorry, but the max people for the mission has been reached.)

Shrugging, Alaska nodded. He turned and walked out of the mess hall, heading towards the training room. Maybe some practice would let Eta relax.

"That's a gr-" Arizona had begun, when Alaska said something about Eta wanting to be in the mission, cutting herself short when New York spoke. Well there goes that ship... She thought as Upsilon humored her and flashed a photo of a sinking ship in her mind while Alaska walked out of the mess hall.

Then she glanced back at her team mates and at Hawaii and Newmex, gaze settling on Wyoming.
"I think you might be better suited for setting up the explosives, Agent Wyoming. You specialise in CQC and melee weapons, right? Then that would make you suitable to deal with any guards that get in your way." Tilting her head to the side, she set her fork down and leaned forward while glancing at New York. "While Agent New York here can deal with the officials since he specialises in ranged weapons and stealth, which means he'll be able to handle the officials without having them detect his presence."

Her eyebrows furrowed slightly in thought,
"Agent Virginia, of course, will be taking charge of the planting of the explosives, while Agent Nevada and I will be setting up explosives as well as providing backup and surveillance respectively."

A frown tugged on her lips while she brought a hand to her mouth,
"I think it might be wise to have another explosives expert as backup. Agent Utah, I believe, specialises in explosives as well?"

Upsilon flickered beside her. She could feel it steeling itself for whatever interaction it might get after its next comment.
"Yes, he does. Might I also suggest having two other runners as backup in the event Agents Nevada and Arizona get apprehended?"

"Agent Alaska would also be wise to have as backup," She glanced behind her where the mentioned agent left through, "Because if there's one thing recon specialists can do as well as they can infiltrate various places, it's getting out of said places. And it's the getting out part that will be hard in this mission, because we have to do it while also detonating the bombs." With that, Arizona stopped, realising that she might be going a bit overboard. She ran a hand through her hair, feeling as if she might have stepped over some chain of command.

(Whoops, I fucked something up in the last one)

"Yeah, you might be right about the officials. I probably know the ship the best." Yorky said. "But the others? The Director only assigned us… its up to the rest of you guys."

Wyern-

"Without me there are three explosives setters, possibly four of we decide to include Utah and Alaska." Wyoming said, putting his helmet on. "I can cover half the ship, including the dorms. Yorky can take the bridge and the war room." Wyern said, swallowing his dislike for Yorky.

The locker room was now empty, leave one inhabitant and his 'sleeping' AI. With his armor packed away, he sat in a plain blue 'Utah' t shirt and jeans. The jeans weren't quite regulation, but no one had questioned him yet. There had been passing chatter as others had left the room, but the one or two word answers where nothing to dwell on. How long has it been since I've been alone in my own head? He contemplated the chip in his hand as he brought up his watch, it's about time, Nu's going to be pissed. Though unwilling, Utah slid the chip back into the slot with one swift motion.

"SHIT!" "Welcome back to the land of the living" "..." "Do you know why you where unplugged?" "..." "You're ignoring me" "..." "Fine, I could use the quiet". Whatever movie Nu had been watching earlier resumed, which was fine. Nu seemed to forgive grievances as soon as a new one showed up, which was not hard with Nu's disposition.
